263  Other / Meta / Re: This forum is infested with scammers on: March 15, 2013, 12:23:31 AM
Add an interstitial warning page for those sections of the forum and require the user to type, "I understand that someone will attempt to attempt to scam me here." in a confirmation text box before proceeding.

I like that, there should be a TOS pop up when you register that says. Yadda yadda I must treat every transaction a possible scam.
It should have to be read and and agreed to once every 30 days.
264  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitspend.net Launches - Allowing you to spend your Bitcoins anywhere online! on: March 15, 2013, 12:19:25 AM
Anyone who does under water basket weaving is ok in my book. I had a couple officers in the Marines that had degree is that.
265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitfloor cash deposits just went from 1% to 5.5%? on: March 15, 2013, 12:16:22 AM
I really don't expect LocalTill to be around very much longer.

Formed 12/12

Not Registered as a MSB with BofA

Not Registered as a MSB with State of New York

Not Registered with FinCen

I was going to use there services in the future until I found out they aren't a MSB.

I expect that they will Shutdown by FinCen if they don't have an application on file.

(All information above was provided by LocalTill, B Of A, State of New York, and FinCen)

For full Disclosure I'm in the process of MSB and FinCen applications

whats that costing you lol
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your thoughts on a Gun coin? on: March 14, 2013, 11:58:15 PM
What caliber is the coin? Jk um atlantis is has a weapons section I think.
I do not condone buying guns this way though, I think everyone deserves the right to bear arms. But some people do not need access to a gun, nor do they need to have a hidden gun stash.

268  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL says ALL SALES FINAL on: March 14, 2013, 11:11:12 PM
This had to come.  Once they have a working product, new sales are pretty much back orders rather than pre-orders.  Should "two months or more" blow out to 6 months, it's doubtful consumer protection laws would be on the side of BFL, though.
I do not think they would be on bfl's side either

As of today there FAQ still says this which some fuel for that fire.
269  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking 188.75 loan / partnership - Very secure & Profitable on: March 14, 2013, 09:33:07 PM
This is kinda what bothers me about the whole thing, he has another company listed on the webpage
Neal & Associates, Lp
PO Box 1151
Middleton, MA 01949

They have a website listed at http://www.naa-recovery.com/ which is defunkt.
They use paysimple and paysimple does not support collections or any financial activity of the sort. I have tried to use them myself and even spoke to a under writer.

Google could find the approximate street address from above but not the actual looks like a school or something.

The address on the website is not even the one listed for the company

271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deposit sent to wrong account, No further replies from Bitinstant on: March 14, 2013, 08:42:42 PM
Wow wish I was ready to start taking customers with our new system. Usually yankee is very fast at fixing things but I myself the other day when sending dwolla funds through bitinstant had a problem. I waited 48 hours before contacting them just cause I understand sometimes things need time. But since the 26th? 2 weeks? No response at all thats not like them at all.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "blockchain.info"-type API for litecoin? on: March 14, 2013, 06:27:18 PM
Hate to grave dig this thread but did this ever go anywhere?
273  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone actually filed an FTC complaint? on: March 14, 2013, 05:27:10 PM
You would never know unless you go through with it, your best bet is to look into it yourself call the FTC they got a hotline and ask them questions.
274  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone actually filed an FTC complaint? on: March 14, 2013, 05:16:56 PM
Right off the BFL website

Quote
QCan I get a refund on my pre-order?
A
Butterfly Labs, INC. is accepting pre-orders for ASIC based products, expected to begin shipping in late October or early November 2012. Your pre-order with payment confirms your place in line for delivery once we begin shipping. Payments made for pre-orders of ASIC based products now under development should be considered non-refundable until products begin shipping or 1 January 2013, whichever is earlier.

This is a clear cut FTC violation. Nov +30 days = months ago lol
275  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone actually filed an FTC complaint? on: March 14, 2013, 05:13:39 PM
I got a letter from my attorney generals office, then a response from BFL. It was online.
My state AG asked me if I was satisfied with the outcome, or if I wanted to pursue.
The reason I did not pursue was cause of the responses like dykast said, but that was also 6 months ago.
If the FTC fines them the fine may be compensation from losses resulted in late delivery, meaning you the customer will get a direct payment from the FTC as settlement.
I hope you understand all of you that pre-ordered invested in BFL have already lost revenue from their performance. They were supposed to be the first to market... that was one of the huge selling points they had.

That says returns not refunds, you must have the product to return it lol
276  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone actually filed an FTC complaint? on: March 14, 2013, 04:35:28 PM
I did, and the community at the time thought I was just being a asshole..... well 6 months after that and now the mob is rising lol
277  Other / Off-topic / Re: Unauthorized transaction on my debit card done without 3d secure. Who is liable? on: March 14, 2013, 04:03:20 PM
Go to the site where the purchases where made, go all the way through the check out but do not pay. If the verified by visa or MC is displayed it was used. If not then you should win the chargeback.
278  Local / Échanges / Re: Bitcoin-Central, discussion, questions-réponses on: March 14, 2013, 03:57:48 PM
Changing titles of threads to make your business look better? Umm thats a bit sad. Do like the rest of the business do start a new thread.
279  Other / Off-topic / Re: Unauthorized transaction on my debit card done without 3d secure. Who is liable? on: March 14, 2013, 03:43:58 PM
It is the merchants responsibility all the time, they have to prove you authorized the purchase.
280  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking 188.75 loan / partnership - Very secure & Profitable on: March 14, 2013, 03:28:21 PM
It is neat isn't it? I can explain how to register a domain if you don't know how. But thanks for the comment, friend.

The domain is brand new. If you're going to investigate the company, don't investigate the domain, but go to the NH secretary of state, do a free business lookup and check when my incorporation papers were put in place. Or, if you want to take that extra step, call one of the companies I have listed as a small sample of my current clients, and see what they have to say about me. Or, check my business credit? Or, check the BBB. Or you could even look me up in relation to my agency and check previous posts related to my company. They're far more than 3 days old. You could google my toll free # too. We have a grand total of 3 complaints that I've seen. Some from a couple years ago and this year (which is actually outstanding, as I know of no other agencies that have a record low amount of complaints in 3 years). You also don't get an A- in 3 days. Plenty of other methods available. Feel free to avail yourself to any or all of them.

I hope this sufficiently attends to your comment.

PS - I'd be happy to provide a list of other domains that I've used for the two companies I own if you want to do a whois on those as well. It's also neat how I've not put a privacy block on on the domain registration info, as I have nothing to hide.

Not saying it is or is not, but it could have been a shelf company with prior history.
You speak as we? who is we do you own the whole business?
What is to stop someone from just buying the debt portfolio on thier own? I seen where you buy them from does not seem all the hard and they seem willing to sell them packages to anyone.
