Hello Alena, any plans to make it possible to send money from card to PayPal? That would be amazing.

You can already link your card with paypal. If for some odd reason you want a paypal balance rather than using the cc via paypal, I guess you could always send money from one pp account (with linked credit card) to another.

Thanks, I know that's possible, but the thing is that fees are assessed when doing it. I'd like to transfer the funds from my Prepaid E-coin Card to PayPal for free.

Hello,
No, I did not heard about any plans for additional features for card>PayPal transfers.

As was mentioned by @Puppet it is currently possible, so we were no considering any additional options. I will send a feedback to our managers, however I doubt it will be fee-free even if we integrate the feature. I am pretty sure PayPal would charge us the fee it's currently charging you (maybe lower though) - so at the end there will be no difference for you.

Is it possible to get an account number/bsb/bank name for the physical cards?
So we can use it on websites like stripe or add it as a bank to PayPal
Thanks

Hello,

As far as this is prepaid debit card, it has no bank account linked to it. Thus, there is no account number, or any other information of that kind.

The bank name is WaveCrest, if it helps.

Verification is not working. Just tried to submit my documents and it returned no message after clicking on "Confirm". Also it didn't showed me any kind of error message.

Please fix this.

Hello,

Your documents must be too big (I do not remember the exact limits unfortunately), please try to reduce their size and upload one more time. Should work.

Cannot top-up card "Service unavailable - try again later" meh

I am sorry I did not post anything here - happened past my shift.

The bank delayed the settlement which it should have sent on Monday, and we run out of USD and EUR as far as I know.

We hope the bank would be able to settle our account on Tuesday and the card load possibility would be restored.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyone who has 2FA enabled on E-coin is getting the captcha to solve 2x. This is frustrating, pass + captcha + google auth + captcha, i grow a beard while i log in.

I second that. Kinda annoying to be honest.

Hello all,

That was extra precaution against recent DDoS attack. I have asked to disable capture on Verification code screen at least, however not yet sure whether they can do that or not quickly, and when. Will keep you posted!

Hello Alena, I've withdrawn $2,000 (US dollars NOT local currency) from the card today at the Bank POS. Things I've noticed:

1. I can withdraw $1,000 per transaction, which is not right since I'm using POS and I should be able to withdraw any amount.
2. My transactions were taxed $2.5 each, yet they should have been free of charge.

Please check my transactions with the bank and let me know what the issue is.

UPDATE: I also get this error when using the "Maximum amount" feature to to load the card:

"Unexpected status code: BadRequest, content: {"result":{"fee":6160,"available":115294281},"message":"Insufficient funds"}"

I have funds in my account.

I have sent you more detailed PM, would just make a note here as well.

Those transactions were considered ATM ones, so corresponding limits and fees are applied. This is something coming from the bank and we cannot change this.

As for Maximum Amount. Iy may sometimes not work is the fluctuating blockchain fee. We "freeze" the BTC exchange rate for you when you are loading the card with BTC, but with transfers to other BTC wallets/addresses, the blockchain fee may change between the moments where you hit the "max amount" button and the moment of actual transfer transaction. An easy way to go around this is slightly reduce the amount just before clicking "confirm".

Support did you allready take a look at the anonymous austrian cash4web voucher codes as topup option for your card? Would be awsome of you could offer this! Smiley
I think it would be quite easy to get this working. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about the product or if i can help with anything else.

Hello,

Yeah, we already have it in our feedback form for top up methods. As far as I know though, a small part about which services to user depends on E-Coin. This is organized by bank and their alliances with various payment systems.

But, yes. We are bringing this up on our meetings with them, and hope this service will be added one day. Though - no promises at the moment.
269  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 14, 2016, 01:58:02 AM
Great, I'll test that on Monday morning. Also, please confirm if POS transactions are free.

OK, I'm off to bed now. 4 AM here Smiley

If you make them in your card's currency (USD) - then yes. No fees, nothing like that. You pay only the actual amount of your transaction.

If you make them in some other currency (any other than USD) - there is 3% Foreign Transaction fee.
ATM withdrawal fees are $2.5 for USD ATM, and $3,5 for ATM which give you cash in some other currency.

Looking forward for the results! and Have a lovely night!

PM sent. I tried withdrawing from bank POS, not ATM. According to E-coin card limits webpage, POS transactions should be unlimited and free.

Am I correct?

Yes, for POS transactions - no limits.

Are you sure this POS cannot be interpret as ATM? Because this is the only reasonable explanation. Could you provide more details about it?

Perhaps, if you would not mind to test - you can withdraw e.g. $1000, and I will check in transactions how it did show up - as ATM, or as POS?

I'm a verified user and I'm experiencing problems when trying to withdraw $2,500 from a bank POS using my USD Mastercard that I have from E-coin. The error is: "Limits reached". I've also tried withdrawing $2,450, $1,900 and $1,500 respectively and I get the same error. Please remember that I'm a VERIFIED user and I should be able to withdraw unlimited amounts of money using POS terminals.

This is not a bank issue, since I've already called my bank, told them everything about my card and everything is OK on their end (as in they do not impose any kind of limits on foreign card usage using their terminals). They recommended to get in touch with the card's issuing bank for resolution. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? It's honestly not making me feel comfortable at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I have just realized. We are talking about ATM withdrawals. ATM limits are lower than 2500. See here: https://www.e-coin.io/bitcoin-debit-card-fees-and-limits
This is coming from bank and these are their limits for verified cards (KYC-2).

It is $2000 per day AND $1000 per transaction.

May I ask you to test one more time and try to withdraw smaller sum?

Hello there,
Would you mind to send me your email in personal messages, I'll check what could be the reason? Or, send an email to support@e-coin.io if you haven't.

So far, my guess is you tried to withdraw funds more than twice per 24 hours - this is a limitation for all our card, and unfortunately, we cannot bypass it. In any case, I can tell more accurately if I have info about your account.
274  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 11, 2016, 02:50:52 PM
I really need this card. Sometimes it is very difficult to get an exchange for bitcoins when you have a large amount of bitcoins. I need to withdraw directly from a visa branded or MasterCard branded ATM.

So, what's stopping you?
275  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 11, 2016, 02:14:06 PM
Hey, I'm still new to this sort of thing.
I deposited $610 USD to my e-coin address & processed a withdrawal to my physical debit card, I'm in Australia so if I go to the ATM would it automatically calculate the currency exchange rates?
So $610 is like $800 AUD, would I get $800 in cash? ($400 a day limit)
Thanks

Hi there,

Yeah, the rate will be calculated automatically (by Visa or MasterCard rate, you can check up-to-date one on their sites) during your transaction.

$400 limit is in USD, so you will be able to cash out 400 USD which is about ~560 AUD per day. Consider to verify your card to increase those up to $2000 USD.

Mind Foreign transaction fee (for all transactions made in currency different from your card's one): 3%
+ ATM international withdrawal fee ($3.5) - for ATMs which give money in currency different form your card's one.

I usually recommend - if it is possible in your city - to find ATM which gives your USD (you'll pay only $2.5 for ATM domestic transaction) and then change in local exchange to AUD. It is more time consuming, but saves you few bucks if you are concerned about fees.

Hey Guys,
Breaking News!

Since yesterday all our virtual card are going to be Visa! So, all benefits of Visa are now back.
All plastic cards remain MasterCard though.

Also, we are going to add card-to-card transfers soon (in a month or two), so you will be able to transfer funds from your virtual one to plastic and withdraw cash.

Hello All,

We have finally received an explanation from our bank regarding situation with PayPal and our card being denominated to GIP currency after you link it. Here it is:

Quote
Please be informed that PayPal are checking the country of the BIN, not the currency of the card due to that, they are charging a cross-border fee, hence the higher fee charged.

So, if your card was denominated, there is nothing we can do. However as was previously stated by one of the member of this forum - you can contact PayPal support and ask them to denominate your card to proper currency.

How can we know which sites has this system to avoid block?

Check our card's requirements this site has (they usually have it published somewhere). OR - if you have time, ask their support.

Some sites warn about it during the payment process: definitely before you confirm your card's details and the payment.
