one of the biggest problem with dollar is inflation.. over time all currencies lose purchasing power because government keep printing more money.. with bitcoin you don't have this problem because the system is designed to make bitcoins to be finite.. only about 21 million bitcoins will ever be released.. the release of new bitcoins is slowly down and it will stop completely within few decades..
No matter how much value fiat currencies are losing after years, people will continue to use it without thinking about the consequences. These people are like sheeps. They do what their other fellow human being is doing. bitcoin is not money, while the dollar is money. Both have a different role and if I may say both have their world, respectively. bitcoin might be used more as an investment like gold but also at the same time bitcoin can and is being used as a currency (money) too. maybe your definition of money is off, but as long as you can pay for stuff with bitcoin, it can be considered as money. It is a currency and no doubt we cannot spend it directly, we need to convert it to fiat first and then spend to buy what we want, but dollar is more powerful then bitcoin. Yup dollar is more powerful that bitcoin because dollar can buy anything and everything but bitcoin can only do transaction via internet and can penetrate the offline market. |

Most likely it will let the price rise to a higher amount and it will be a positive for the most people that are just investing in the bitcoin itself if you ask me right ?
For miners it would be less more positive because its getting more difficult to gain bitcoins by mining, overall the value will rise to a higher amount.

I would go for the bitcoin itself because it has a good future and the gold will maybe also go up but that is mostly on a long term.
I personally hate waiting so bitcoin is the perfect investment for me because you can make a lot of profit in a pretty fast time so that is very sweet.
Bitcoin is good for making quick profits and if you can afford to take risk then bitcoin is the key to success and gold will make you wait to earn profits. Bitcoin really brings faster profit that any other investing form out there,while gold yeah you can earn but it will take long. I will chose bitcoin because profit is faster. |

If I'm honest I do not see this happen at all, its just too much if you ask me and the fact is that a global currency is coming but it will not be the bitcoin for sure.
The bitcoin is just too small and its also not controllable by the government so it will never be accepted by the world.
Only the currency that can be controlled by the government can be a global currency,bitcoin is decentralized and no governing body. how can that be true , if a currency can be used world wide and with ease it is definitely a global currency. you dont need a government to pass things up in order to be a global currency . To be a global currency it needs to widely used and accepted and at a moment I don't see it happening and it will take a long time to reach there. Most likely it will not happen, the bitcoin will disappear soon or later and there will be standing up another kind of coin that is controlled by the banks and governments what is of course lame but otherwise its never gonna happen. The bitcoin itself cannot do this because there too much people hating on it and its too small right now also. Well those people who hate bitcoin will soon find them selves in the sleeves of bitcoin,they can hate as much as they like but they will still use bitcoin one way or another. |
