261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2023, 07:36:50 PM
Selling properties is very risky, as you might lose them in the process and find yourself regretting in the end. But I believe there are always exceptions to that. Properties that are not giving you an income anymore might be good to sell and come up with a better and more profitable investment like bitcoin. However, risk management should be highly applied. Otherwise, if you sell your properties and expect quick profits from crypto will actually never work in the long run. Study your plan first, and prepare back ups if things not working according to your plan. I’d say diversification is a must but make sure to give bitcoin a bigger allocation.
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 26, 2023, 01:00:14 PM
_ Don't risk too much money, start with what you can afford to risk. Focus on the risk not rewards.

_ Identify potential risk as;if it goes down, if you don't take profit, if you don't use stop loss and if the coin goes against your analysis.

_ Reacting to risk, use stop loss and always take profit.
I don't think this needs to be reminded anymore because everyone already knows that risk management must be done before playing in the market. However, does this idealism apply if you see a market rally in a relatively short time? Price fluctuations make traders more ambitious and unable to control the profit that has been targeted. It is true that we should make more money, but it will be more difficult for everyone to implement Stop Loss. Believe me, you are entering a trading area where the volume level is very high, so whatever the rules are, they are often forgotten.
Yes, having risk management is certainly a must but still newbies need to hear this more often so they won’t be mostly blinded by their greed, the only reason why they are very eager to trade and expect quick profits. However, I believe all traders are literally profit driven but we are using different strategies on how to achieve it. And when it comes to implementing stop loss, though most of us find it hard to follow especially if the price has still chances to grow and recover, but if we really aim to limit our losses and maximize our profits as much as possible, then we should stick to the rules even if most of us are already ignoring or forgotten it.
263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I Recover my loss of crypto on this platform? on: June 26, 2023, 11:15:38 AM
Hay, I am New here and know about Bitcoin for the last few years but I lost many times in crypto trading. So my question is that how to trade Securely and profitably?
Sounds like a guaranteed advise you want there? From your words securely and profitable thats depend on your knowledge. No one is safe from a loss no matter how good trader you are and there are some point that you will likely experience some losses and down too. But guess what? Its normal cause everybody make mistakes. Things you need to lessen those are confident and avoid greediness cause thats what really happened to some people.
True. Never expect for profit consistency when you start trading since the market has always been unpredictable from the start which means there are times that even if you want to trade eagerly, the market will not favor your decision, hence you will end up losing if you pursue trading. However, experienced traders have developed their strategies so they can still make profits despite of the negative market response. But even so, losses are sometimes inevitable that even veterans in trading still cannot guarantee profitability all the time.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 26, 2023, 07:06:29 AM

For Inoue's situation, most of his fights happen in Japan because it is already proven that they can generate a much bigger profit if the fight will be happen there. That's why Fulton have to travel towards the challenger's land because of this reason.

That's how the business should be run – the more money they make, the better it is for Inoue, so he can enjoy his popularity. I don't have an idea about how much his previous fights made in terms of PPV, if there are any, but perhaps the competitive amount generated by fights held in the USA is the reason they chose to keep the fight in Japan.

Some say that judges may favor Inoue, but so far, I haven't seen a controversial fight of Inoue where the judges favored him despite his performance not being so convincing because most of his wins are pretty convincing and majority are in KO.
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better to have a trading knowledge than depending on signals. on: June 25, 2023, 09:59:14 PM
Don't get me wrong. I am not condemning buying of signals perhaps it would be more accrue-able, profitable and less vulnerable for you if you're knowledgeable in crypto trading and  decide adding up with buying of signals if need be. Learning about crypto knows no boundaries.
I learned more in applying my knowledge in trading back in the days. I think that's more than enough for everyone on what to choose between choosing signals or having a trading knowledge. Having signals would just be another pain instead of just going to do your own research.

In cases of tight assurance, I would guess that would be the best for buying signals though, but it shouldn't be like a habit.
Buying signals may bring a good advantage for beginner traders but that will never guarantee success in trading. The only way to make your trades successful and profitable is to acquire sufficient knowledge and develop your best strategies and skills as well so that even if you trade against the market condition, you will still have chances to overcome the loss. However, I don’t blame traders who also rely from paid signals, that’s also their strategy but it can be more reliable if they are also equipped with knowledge and skills when trading.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Crypto Advice on: June 25, 2023, 09:40:10 PM
Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
I will always suggest bitcoin as the only crypto that is more secured and reliable when it comes to profit consistency and the rest are just following the pattern of bitcoin. But let me remind you that success won’t come easily like you expect especially you are investing in such in a highly volatile and an unpredictable market. You need to educate yourself at all cost and be aware how your investment will work since the outcome of your investment will be a great basis how well you know on what you are doing.
267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The truth about investment (bitcoins) on: June 25, 2023, 08:51:39 PM
Bitcoin doesn't work like that, it seems you're describing a Ponzi scheme investment.
Because IMO, success in investing is not a zero-sum game where one person's gains come at the expense of another's losses.  The crypto market is highly dynamic and can provide opportunities for multiple individuals to profit simultaneously.  Besides, different investors have different entry and exit points and investment horizons which means they can experience different levels of success at various times.

Now it's a funny fact that people now store the value of Bitcoin instead of using this alternatively in fiat transactions.
It should be the use and recognize the broader scope of Bitcoin's adoption and the potential benefits it offers beyond just financial gains.
Bitcoin offers equal opportunities to all. It’s up to you how you will maximize that opportunity without putting others into its risk of losing because that is not actually what’s supposed to happen. You will be successful in any form of investment if you are knowledgeable and you know eventually what you are doing, and that does not mean that for you to be profitable, someone has to undergo losing his profits at the same time. The outcome of your investment depends actually on how you manage your investment, if you are making a good entry and good exit in the market. Otherwise, investing just for greed alone or you invest because your peers tell you so, then expect that you will never make a big difference in your investment.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 25, 2023, 06:33:48 AM

So if I were to take into consideration that Jermall is inactive for more than 2 years before fighting Canelo, that he has just faced mental health problems, that he's moving up in weight class probably because of all those years of inactivity, I'd totally understand that this early Canelo is 1.42 favorite while Charlo is 2.82 underdog.

He was inactive for a while, and that was a weakness he had in this fight. Now, he has suddenly come back, but instead of choosing a tune-up fight, he is directly fighting Canelo, whom the latter loves because it's an easy fight for him. The odds are clear, and fans believe he will lose. However, hopefully, he won't just lose without putting up a fight. After all, he has an undefeated record and this is the biggest fight of his career, so he should not waste this opportunity.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 25, 2023, 06:05:57 AM
Yes, but if Green wanted out of the Warriors then even if they offer him max contract he could declined it. But I'm thinking that since Poole is out of the picture, maybe they can convince him to get back with them still intact as a core and then added CP3.

We will see about Klay's case though, if any of their big 3 will be traded or move, then the Warriors dynasty might be over with this guys. And start to rebuild although they still look solid in paper.

I think what Green did was a normal procedure, as he knows the Warriors will still sign him with a bigger contract. If I recall correctly, a similar situation happened with LeBron James when he had an option and declined the offer, allowing the Lakers to give him a bigger offer. So, there's nothing to worry about here. Draymond will stay happy with a bigger contract.
270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your honest review of the Demo account? on: June 24, 2023, 09:55:00 PM
What is your honest review of the Demo account?
Do you think that should spend so much time trading on a demo account? I believe that in demo trading, there are no real consequences for losing "money". If you notice, the pain is different than the one felt when you actually experience a loss on a live account. Demo trading simply helps the newbie get acquainted with the trading platform, and it should only be for a few weeks. Compared to  live trading, demo trading lacks the ability to mental and emotional resilience. For me, the real trading education starts where demo trading ends. What do you think?

1. admiralmarkets.sc/education/articles/forex-basics/...f-forex-demo-account
2. http://tradethatswing.com/when-to-switch-from-demo-to-liv...rading-real-capital/
It’s useless to trade using demo account for so much long as it will never help you become more exposed to what is really happening in live trading. That way, you will only get limited knowledge about bitcoin which means you can never be confident when you trade. Unlike when you give most of your time trading with live account, not only you will honed your skills and strategies, but you will also develop best ways on how to handle your emotions which is a necessity when trading.
271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting Some Merit really boosted my motivation on: June 24, 2023, 09:41:45 PM
This may seem trivial to those who already rank high in the forums. but it really means a lot to beginners. Gaining Some Merits actually can revive dormant Motivation. But still I also realize that just motivation is not enough. but also must be accompanied by an increase in insight. with more diligent reading and so on.
Other beginners must also feel this way, right? I doubt if only I feel this pleasure.
Not only for beginners but even for higher rank members, getting merits still create a positive feeling and will always boost motivation and self-confidence. That’s one way you’ll feel your self worth based on how others acknowledge your post. But this is not enough so you can live longer in the forum. Stay learning in the forum by doing continuous research especially on topics that you find it hard understanding it. And just enjoy every minute of it so you will never feel the pressures that most newbies have experienced.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 24, 2023, 10:40:31 AM
No odds yet since the fight is rumored to be scheduled on September, nevertheless, Canelo is the favorite here and ML might not be attractive. And so if we want to bet then we should look for other options, at least a good return to us and worth the money.

There's no official betting odds but we can see some odds from https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/news/boxing/opening-odds-canelo-alvarez-vs-jermall-charlo-fight-september-16th-2023/

Quote
Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Odds
Fighter   Odds
Canelo Alvarez   -240
Jermall Charlo   +182

As you can see, Canelo is the heavy favorite although he might be facing a tough challenger, so if some of you here believe that Charlo will win, that +182 odds is good for you, $100 to win $182.

That's a reasonable assessment. Canelo is currently the favorite due to his established status, so it's not surprising. It presents another test for bettors who must decide whether to place their trust in Canelo's continued dominance and bet on his odds or consider his opponent, a rising star in boxing.

Personally, I have a feeling that this fight won't go the distance of 12 rounds. Given the aggressive nature of both boxers, an early knockout is quite possible.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 24, 2023, 09:23:34 AM
~snip~
I think for Jordan Poole, he has to move on with playing with the Wizards now. And who knows, he could be their star after Beal and Kuzma as they are in a rebuilding phase. Fans though of the Warriors might not get this very easy because they love Poole. But with his performance from last season, he has to let go.

And I do agree that I see CP3 coming off the bench now, this could protect himself from injuries.

Steph will still be their starting PG and their roster is still intact even if they let go of Poole. Problem with Poole though is that there are no "baddies" going to watch Wizards game,  Cheesy
It takes time to process these trades if he's got it by a surprise. Fans do really love Poole after they've won the 2022 NBA championship. He played well there and that's why this was a surprise when one of their best players have been traded. But with this 2023 playoffs, we do saw that he performed not very well. I guess with these trades after winning championship sometime ago and became of its contributors, it's gonna be a normal thing that some may be traded just like Kuzma.

We are no longer surprised that he got traded due to his lack of good performance in the playoffs. He was one of the biggest reasons why the Warriors failed, as he wasn't shooting like he was during their championship run in 2022. Now that he is gone, the team can start pursuing their serious goal of winning a championship again. I know that with CP3 being healthy, this team will be tougher to beat.

I hope to see Poole become a superstar in his new team, where there aren't a lot of superstars.
274  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help and encourage newbies to grow. on: June 23, 2023, 09:45:55 PM
No matter what others say, it's important to focus on your own goals and move forward. The primary reason we joined this forum was to learn and grow. When I first started as a beginner, I faced numerous negative responses, but I didn't let that discourage me. Instead, I used those experiences as opportunities to improve myself, and that's how I became an established member here. Therefore, always strive to make valuable contributions to the forum.

Remember that all criticisms at the start are just made not to lose your hopes but to strive even harder so you can prove to them one day that you’re good enough. Because if you easily faint and be discouraged from their negative comments, then you’re actually agreeing to their negative criticisms towards you. So focus on your goal and stick to the rules. That way, if you continue to acquire additional knowledge and information, then you will surely grow in the forum. Know that there is no competition here, and if ever there is, then don’t get affected but keep pursuing on your set goals.
275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 23, 2023, 08:52:18 PM
Those who do not know when to enter the market will miss the best moment to buy at the lowest price. Even if it wasn't the lowest price, maybe they could still get that low price and hold it until the price increases.

When the market is getting a red candle, they can analyze market conditions to find when to enter the market. At least they got into a downside situation where they could buy it at a low price.

But most traders will enter the market when the price starts to move and get a green candle because they think the price will increase greatly in the next minute or hour. So they started buying and holding it.
For beginners, it’s always safe to just follow the basic, buy low and sell high. That way, they will not miss any opportunity while taking advantage when crypto prices are low. As long as they’re here for long term hodling, and just sell when the price is right, then they will always be profitable in the end. However, for experienced traders, buying at a green candle is never bad. They have their own plans towards the market so probably they are good enough already to manage their emotions and hold on to their coins in case these coins have suddenly experience price decline.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 23, 2023, 02:26:33 PM
Most probably the strategy that Santiago will use is to be quick to score as he has better stamina than Donaire.

He needs to be quick, maybe as quick as Rigo, as Donaire really struggled against Rigo because the latter is very slick. Bookies are not wrong with the betting odds they display. Of course, the public will favor Donaire, as he is the more popular boxer, while Santiago is just a rising boxer who would only become a superstar once he beats the popular Donaire.

If I were to bet, I would go for Donaire winning via KO in 6 rounds or less, or bet on Santiago to win the full fight via a judges' decision.
In my opinion, it is more probable that Donaire will win by KO in 6 rounds or less. I've seen some fight highlights of Santiago, and I'm not impressed with his wins. So even if the fight goes to the judges' scorecards, there's still a chance that Donaire will win. The only way Donaire will lose is if Santiago is able to wear him down, which is not easy to do if a boxer is not as fast as Inoue.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Joshua Franco vs Kazuto Ioka WBA World Superfly (June 24) on: June 23, 2023, 01:25:32 PM
Personally, i changed my mind and will now bet for the Japanese as the percentage of him winning got higher with this news of Franco not making the weight.

What would be the penalty for him not making weight? Can he still make the fight happen? I was thinking if a boxer does not make it to the weigh-in, that would result in disqualification. Maybe my knowledge is not correct.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 23, 2023, 01:09:32 PM

Hope i will win on the second game to have a break-even night on the PBA.  Smiley

I have Northport as well, but I got them at +12.5 with odds of 1.85. I placed the bet during the live game because I missed the pregame odds. Hopefully, Magnolia will start to ease off a bit and stop dominating teams. It's alright if they win, as long as Northport is able to cover the spread.
Magnolia is still rolling, and let's hope Northport can make a comeback in the second half. It seems like Magnolia is determined to take every game seriously, even if it's just an exhibition game. They have showcased their dominance against a weaker team. However, there is still plenty of time left. The first half is about to end, and there's another half to play after the break.
It seems like there won't be an underdog winner today. Magnolia will win the game by a huge margin. I think it's already over, with the final score being 125-89. Even if there's a +25 point difference, it still won't be enough to win. I thought they would give Northport a chance to at least make it an entertaining game, but the runs in the 3rd and 4th quarters were just too much.

Anyway, I hope you bounce back next time, @bisdak40.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 22, 2023, 01:07:44 PM
Honestly, even at Donaire's current age, I still believe he has a good chance of becoming a unified champion, especially when facing someone like Moloney.
Moloney seemed to understand this, as he chose not to continue his fight with Donaire and instead opted for an easier opponent, which he successfully defeated. However, he cannot hide forever because once Donaire becomes a champion, a potential unification fight might arise.

Here's the list:  https://box.live/world-rankings/bantamweight/

There are still many vacant titles in the division, so we may see more opportunities emerging in this weight class.

As the weeks goes by, I actually see why Moloney chose to fight other boxers instead of fighting Donaire first because there's a chance that he might have predicted that their fight will happen much longer than expected because of Donaire's promotional banner, the Probellum. So instead of waiting for Donaire, he chose to get the other belts first because he knew right from the start that as long as Donaire will be active on the sport, their path will cross sooner or later.

At least he is now the champion, while Donaire still has to fight to become a champion. Perhaps he can have a few title defenses before considering a unification fight with Donaire, if Donaire does indeed win this fight. It's too early to discuss, but based on what we have witnessed in the past, it is evident that Moloney is trying to avoid Donaire to make his own journey easier.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 20, 2023, 12:59:58 PM
7,321.00 current capital.  Cool

From 5,000 PHP to 7,300 PHP now, that's already a good profit. However, since there are still more games ahead, I'm confident that it will continue to grow as long as you keep picking the winners. I've had some experience in the past, and it's truly beneficial to start with a bankroll. It gives you an idea of whether your strategy is effective. For example, if your 5,000 PHP ends up as 6,000 PHP, that means you've achieved a 20% profit, which is already quite good. Starting with a small bankroll is the first step towards achieving a bigger goal.
