Downloaded ver 2.1 wallet for windows and started to d/l entire blockchain, and now have 0 contacts, at only 3000 blocks.......
I can't find any nodes for this wallet...are they needed? Is the coin that thin, that there are no connections??

I just found WBB, downloaded the v4.5 wallet (win) and get NO connections......
Are we not supposed to be using this version now?
HI, Start wallet go to: - Help / debug window - select console - type: one line at the time and hit enter addnode 85.25.44.119 add addnode 123.56.194.66 add addnode 62.210.81.7 add addnode 195.154.223.134 add addnode 142.4.218.174 add once done go back to "Information" tab and wait a few min to see if you get connections thanks Peter Thanks, Peter: I had looked around for nodes and couldn't find them; of course this did the trick! The OP indicates there is a wallet upgrade to v 1.0.1, but every link to the windows wallet results in version 1.0.0.
Where is link to upgraded wallet?

I may be totally out of luck...
If it has to be a BTC address that I posted, I can't find one. BUT why isn't the same thing true for any coin? that is, I posted a doge address, and I can sign a doge message in that wallet, doesn't that prove my identity just like using btc would prove it?
and as time went on, i thought for sure it was forbidden to post addresses......so hmmmm. that would be a nice catch 22.
anyway, time will tell, or i'll end up starting over......

Normally you know if you have posted a post with a BTC address. If you know you have you can go through your posts here and look for it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=220123;sa=showPosts;start=0If you have not posted an address you can sign with... chances are your out of luck Wow, you DO know you war around bitcointalk !! Well, there is one thing I do know.........
This is a real pain.
Guess this comes as a result of being lazy and storing the pw in the browser, so one tends to forget it....
So, a take-off from the TV ad: "What's in your password window"? Make sure you know!

There really is only one way you can recover your account, pm theymos and badbear about the situation and make sure you provide a signed message from an address linked with the binmon account to prove ownership. After a few months you will get a response. Yes, months
