261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think US Paypal Users would be interested in buying cryptocurrency? on: May 04, 2024, 07:30:39 PM
I think most of the US based Paypal users won't be interested in buying cryptocurrencies with Paypal. In US there has been many actions taken against crypto exchanges and platforms, that's why most people still consider crypto as a Ponzi scheme.

Those who think that crypto market is part of a huge Ponzi scheme would never consider purchasing crypto currencies. On the other hand the ones who're already crypto users will also think twice before purchasing Bitcoin with their Paypal accounts.

Some of those may fear high taxes while others may fear that in future their crypto currencies may get seized by government if a new bill is pass. I know a group of people who're learning about crypto currencies many purchase cryptocurrencies with their Paypal accounts but the number of such users is going to be very low.

262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: May 03, 2024, 07:23:27 PM
It won't be surprising to notice that people on such a location would be more familiar with traditional casino Gambling than online Gambling.
I agree, in such regions gamblers will most probably try to go to traditional physical casinos instead of doing much on the online casinos.

The rules and law often cause fear in the minds of the gamblers and that's why they might try their best to avoid online casinos so they won't get any trouble from government.
263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some topics to look for when starting trading on: May 03, 2024, 07:19:08 PM
That is why when you trade always analyze the BTC price action first because it can increase your validation and probability that the position you just placed has a high chance of winning
Very true, Bitcoin's price is the best indicator for the traders who want to open altcoin positions, but only when the altcoins that aren't getting highly pumped would be affected by the peaks or dips of Bitcoin. The pumped coins are often not affected by Bitcoin's value, but the rest of the coins will get highly affected by Bitcoin's value. If Bitcoin gets a major dip then the whole market will get impacted by that dip without any doubt.

It would be okay as a newbie trader to also follow well established traders in the game and learn or study the strategies they adopted that works best for them.
I think it would be tough for a newbie to determine that who's a good trader and who isn't a good one. That's why when they follow a trader blindly and if that trader isn't a good trader but shows himself as a good trader then the newbie won't learn anything good by following that trader.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: US lawmakers urge SEC to approve Bitcoin options trading on: May 03, 2024, 07:10:54 PM
Yes, I believe Sec will be forced to approve the Bitcoin options trading in future. They were against the ETFs but they approved those ETFs and in same way they are somehow against the options but they will approve those as well one day.

I don't know about others but I think we are somehow losing essence Bitcoin because of those ETFs and in future because of Bitcoin options trading. I know the options trading will help Bitcoin to achieve higher peaks in value but those options will further deteriorate the decentralized nature of Bitcoin.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 03, 2024, 07:05:40 PM
I cashed out haha, yeah Milwaukee lost so it was the right decision, the cash out went up a lot so I just took it
That was a pretty smart move, and I'm quite sure if I were on your place I would also do that. The one who didn't cash out lost the bet, that happens many times in online gambling. I hope he/she may learn a lesson from that loss.
266  Other / Meta / Re: Sincere Thank you to theymos for honoring our request for 9ja board on: May 03, 2024, 03:05:45 AM
I think you people were quite lucky because you got the sheriff aka Igebotz as moderator of your local board. Theymos always makes decisions to make the forum a better place, I know it's not easy to take strict decisions but those had to be taken in order to make this forum as reputable as it has been for last many years.

Congratulations to Naija board for having Igebotz as their moderators and congratulations to Igebotz for becoming moderator of his local board. I hope that the sheriff will continue to serve his duties more strictly from now on. Best of luck from my side!

269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 07:21:39 PM
~Snip~  as such they may prefer to let it ride so they can increase their profits even further and disregard the option to cash out, despite being the safer road they could take.
You're right that the gamble who made that bet is not a simple gambler like most of us but someone with good bankroll. However, it would be stupidity to let $50 go in hope of getting $100k even if a gambler stake $5000 on a single bet. I know if luck may favor that gambler then they might end up winning more than $50k with that bet but one should not take such unnecessary risks in gambling.
270  Economy / Reputation / Re: Likely low quality poster alts. on: May 02, 2024, 07:17:28 PM
I think you're right those accounts seem like alts to me as well. I have skimmed their post history and most of their posts are written in same way. All of those accounts have same grammatical mistakes and they have same pattern of writing. I'm not fully sure but I also believe that those accounts could be alt accounts controlled by one person.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buy a Bonus VS playing Slot on normal Spin - which do you prefer? on: May 02, 2024, 07:06:35 PM
I ended up losing around $47 dollars, I managed to withdraw $5 to my wallet from the $54 dollar win. 😭 By the way, I started the game with around $2 deposit 🤣.
You were lucky to win $54 with just $2 deposit and if I were on your place then I would withdraw at least $40 out of the winning and play with the rest of it to win even more. But, instead on playing that game on that day I would wait a week or two and then place my bets.

So, I am here to ask, buying a bonus and playing on normal spins in slot game, which so far, has been more profitable for or to you?
I have never bought any bonus on slot games but after reading many stories, I found that the ones with bonus might get much higher multipliers sometimes. I'm personally not sure so I can't say anything accurately. However, I would personally avoid bonus and play normal spin.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1xbit violated self exclusion terms, do not want to help on: May 02, 2024, 07:00:07 PM
Sorry for your loss but 1xbit has violated many terms for many users and that's why I suggest you to avoid that casino in future.

The 1xbit is known for their shady activities and those who aren't aware about their scam activities often get scammed by them.

You're in the list of the victims who were scammed by the shady casino 1xbit and you can't do anything against them as they have been doing that for years with their players.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 06:56:01 PM
If I was on place of that guy then I would consider cashing out because in gambling anything can happen and earning $50k with just $1.5k bet is quite profitable I believe. No need to wait for $100k when you can cash out $50k without any risks.
274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some topics to look for when starting trading on: May 02, 2024, 06:46:28 PM
3. Bitcoin Dominance
- this is also very important, because as of now, wherever bitcoin goes, everything follows. So even your technical analysis on some alts are giving you chart pattern for a reversal, trust me, it won't go that way.
Not true always, sometimes even when Bitcoin gets dips the altcoins that are pumping at that day won't get affected by the dip to huge levels. I have personally traded altcoins during the huge dips of the market and those altcoins which were pumping to high levels weren't affected during the dips.

I believe that a trader should always follow a good trading plan with his/her own strategy. One's own strategy is way better than someone else's strategy and when it's combined with a good trading plan then the chance of having profitable trades get higher.
275  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Beaware] There is a highly skilled and active Telegram scammer who knows you. on: May 02, 2024, 06:30:40 PM
I'm sorry for your loss but the scammers are trying their best to make us fall into their traps. I have been contacted by many scammers on Telegram but when you're sure about the way how scammers act then you can understand them quickly.

That scammer was quite skilled that he/she scammed someone like you who's already quite good at detecting such scammers. We all should learn a lesson after reading this thread that the scammers can do many things to make us fall trap to their scams but we should try our best to not fall for their traps.

We can't do anything against that scammer but I hope that in future most of us will be alert when we see such type of scammers. Thanks for making this thread and sharing that scam experience to the community, and once again I'm sorry that the scammer was successful in scamming you with his/her malicious tactics.
276  Other / Off-topic / Re: There are dangers from streaming matches from unofficial sites on: May 02, 2024, 06:22:41 PM
I agree that one should avoid streaming matches from unofficial sites as those could have multiple issues for the streamers. The first issue is of course the presence of malware. Most of those non official steaming sites have malware in them and that malware could cause huge damage to streamers.

The streamers who can't afford to pay the monthly fee of the legit steaming services often try their best to watch those matches on those unofficial steaming services. All of those sites are bloated with ads which help them to make money, and the site owners don't care about the users and their privacy.
277  Other / Meta / Re: ThemePen - Merit Source Application on: May 02, 2024, 05:58:40 PM
After reading most of the posts of this merit source application thread, I feel that the Pakistan local board needs a new merit source.

Shahzadafzal is the only merit source available for that local board and I believe that local board is very active and one more merit source would be very useful to send merits to posts that deserve some merits.

I believe whatever The Sceptical Chymist said is true, each local board should have more than 1 merit sources if they have sizeable number of members.

In that sense Pakistan's local board is also one of the most active local boards and that's why they should get one more merit source. I support the merit source application of ThemePen.
278  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this an obvious misuse of merit? on: May 01, 2024, 10:05:59 PM
Now, majority of the community said the tag is inappropriate, the victim could be lucky if someone that left him the tag could read this thread and reverse it.
I can understand that you want to do good to the user who received that tag but like The Sceptical Chymist said, a neutral tag isn't an issue, and I agree to him because I also believe that having that neutral tag on his profile won't cause him any problems in getting into signature campaigns.

If the user tries to make good posts with valuable information that might be helpful for other members then he might get chance to be part of a signature campaign even having those tags. The campaign managers look for the contribution of the members to the forum, and they don't care a lot about neutral tags.

I know if someone gets a red tag then that member might face issues when getting accepted in signature campaigns but those who have neutral feedback on their profiles don't face such issues. Revising or removing of that tag is always going to be the decision of the one who left that tag.
279  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this an obvious misuse of merit? on: May 01, 2024, 08:06:44 PM
The user got one neutral tag because a member didn't like the way he used to offer his sMerits. He got another neutral tag because he somehow took text of Loyce without his permission. Both of those neutral tags are justifiable and aren't any type of issue for that user as long as he makes good and useful posts.

I don't know if you have some kind of relation with that user or he might have asked you to post this thread on his behalf, but as far as I know, the neutral tags on that user's profile won't cause any issue for him. He can still join signature campaigns even having those neutral tags on his profile I believe.
280  Economy / Gambling / Re: TonPoker - Telegram Poker Room on: May 01, 2024, 08:47:24 AM
Welcome to the forum but I agree with Xal0lex that the devs of the project are very greedy and that's why they are converting Bitcoin at way cheaper rates than the market. I hope it's just a bug or they're too lazy to update the rate of Bitcoin.
