Regarding sports betting, how do you do your analysis if you don't have much time?
I avoid placing any bets if I don't have enough time for analysis. For me analysis matters way more than favoritism and when it comes to football then I can't trust a favorite team at all. I'm not someone who bets on daily basis, I only place my bets when I'm fully sure that the result would most probably be in profits.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China bans, Son Jun-ho, 42 others for life for gambling, match-fixing. on: September 14, 2024, 08:07:32 PM
If the authorities can actually go through their account and cease some of those funds, then sentence them to jail too.
That would be a good move from the authorities as such criminals should go to jail and they may not get bail for at least a year so they can understand the pain of others. They fulfill their own desires and loot money of the poor players by fixing the matches, and for such act they should get behind the bars for at least a year or more.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why buying a home is usually a terrible investment (vs buying bitcoin). on: September 14, 2024, 08:04:36 PM
It's all fine if you are young and want to have the flexibility of rent. But when you get older, you might want to have a place to stay where you know that you won't be kicked out because the owners decided to move in.
I guess that explains it pretty well, and I believe that 100% true. Other than that in rental property we can't do anything as we aren't the owners of the property and none of our children will inherit anything from that home which we haven't bought.

Rent can be good only when you don't own your house but if you have a house then it's 100x better to avoid renting. I used to live in a rent house and I can say that it's quite painful to live in someone else's house and pay rent to him on monthly basis.

Now, I'm in my own house, and the experience of living in my own house is way good than that of living in rented house. I'm emotionally and mentally more stable and happy in my own house now, but back then I wasn't happy at all.

Those who say investing in your own house isn't a good things are the ones who either already own a house or they fear from the high cost of buying an house, but they neglect the advantages of ones own house.
264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Importance of Having a Trading Mentor on: September 14, 2024, 05:53:31 PM
Yeah. A mentor is good since he will be a teacher that will be guiding you in everything you are doing in the market. But even with the mentor, you need to be careful with trading because even your mentor is losing, just that most of them hide their losses and the students think they always gain from their trade.
A mentor is only good if he/she gives you some knowledge about trading but when it comes to trades then at that time a mentor isn't gong to be helpful for you in any way. A mentor can be a good motivating force but a mentor can't give you success in trading.

I believe most of the mentors these days are there only to show off to people that how good traders they're and how someone being their apprentice can have benefits and profits in trading. Actually the apprentice is more like a puppet but not a really student who may learn trading step by step.

The mentors are just social media influencers these days who want to grow their own bank balance and they don't really care much about anyone's success other than their own. I still believe that the ones who learn trading step-by-step can be way better than the ones who are guided by those so-called mentors.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Say no to maximalism on: September 14, 2024, 05:48:37 PM
Don't be myopic and dogmatic. Say no to maximalism.
Very well said, I fully support your thoughts and whatever you said about maximalism and Bitcoin maximalists is true. Being part of Bitcoin community, I'm also someone who wholeheartedly support Bitcoin and anything related to it, but I wouldn't consider myself as Bitcoin maximalist because I'm also into other well-known crypto currencies and I do use those more often sometimes when Bitcoin fees get higher.

I've been part of Bitcoin community since 2016 and I'll always say that there's no other cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, but that's my pure love for Bitcoin as it helped me to become financially stable but it doesn't mean that other cryptocurrencies are less good as compare to Bitcoin. When it comes to privacy then there's no match for Monero, and when it comes to speed then LiteCoin does quite good in that department.

Love for one thing is a good but that doesn't means that one should consider it superior than others. I know Bitcoin is on top and it will always be on top but surely there are many cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin that most of us use on daily, weekly or at least monthly basis and some of those really solve our issues. As a trader I often use USDT as that's a stable coin and that's much better to secure your profits then Bitcoin as it can get some dips.

Being a maximalist prevents someone from understanding good qualities of other things and that's why I believe one should try to avoid being a maximalist at any cost.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China bans, Son Jun-ho, 42 others for life for gambling, match-fixing. on: September 14, 2024, 05:38:31 PM
If any player is caught is such corrupt act, do you think they should only be ban for life from gambling or more punishment should be attached to it?

Also, do you think that those players work hand in hand with some casinos bookies?
I'm not sure that either such players work hand in hand with some bookies but I'm pretty sure that match-fixing is a very bad act one does and such person should get proper punishment for that act.

Getting banned from gambling for life time is a good punishment for such match fixers but I believe that there should be some more punishments for such fixers like fining them with at least $100k or even more severe punishment than that.

268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "What are the biggest mistakes I should avoid as a newbie"? on: September 12, 2024, 03:26:51 PM
I'm eager to learn more about cryptocurrency such as  investing, trading, and the technology behind it.
If you want to learn about trading and investing then I suggest you to read posts in speculation board and trading discussion board as those boards have enough material that may help you with your trading and investing journey.

However, if you want to learn in-depth about Bitcoin then you may also visit Bitcoin discussion board where you'll find enough posts to learn about Bitcoin and technology behind it.
269  Other / Meta / Re: Error 1015: You're Being Rate Limited? on: September 12, 2024, 03:22:57 PM
Op, I suggest you to change your browser or its settings and the issue will be solved without any worries. If that doesn't solves the issue then you might try a VPN and visit the site again, and that would most probably solve the issue of that rate limiting. If none of those work then I suggest you to try Tor browser and that may most probably solve the issue.
270  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree that big winners should donate to addiction support programs? on: September 12, 2024, 03:17:22 PM
What do you think—should gambling winners donate a small part of their winnings to addiction support programs, or is it not really their responsibility?
Well, if gamblers does support the addicts with such programs by donating some portion of their winnings then that's a good thing but if they don't donate any money to such programs then no one can call them selfish or greedy.

I believe philanthropists are the ones who might consider supporting such programs by donating some money to those, and I believe some gamblers can also be philanthropists.
271  Economy / Gambling / Re: [scam attempt] Nebova asking for a deposit? on: September 12, 2024, 07:47:51 AM
Has anyone heard of Nebova Online Crypto Casino?
Nope, I haven't heard about that casino, and if I were on your place then I would stay away from such casinos at any cost. I suggest you to choose only reliable casinos that have built their name for many years and you can find such casinos here on Bitcointalk. I only prefer the casino that have Bitcointalk announcement thread, and that also have some type of marketing campaign running on this forum.
272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Binance restore trades to one Coin on: September 12, 2024, 07:44:25 AM
The minimum trade on spot is $10, so doing it via spot is not a solution, what's more @OP said that his crypto is split into many cryptocurrencies, the only way is to convert directly, without fees & without the need to do it via spot trading even though the mechanism is are sales in the live market.
I didn't say anything about spot trading, I said that he could easily convert his coins that are even in small values directly via asset conversion. You can access that feature on Binance easily by clicking on username icon and selecting assets and from there you can click on spot and then you'll be able to convert the coins easily into USDT or any other coin of your choice.
273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Or Bear Market which is most preferable to you? on: September 12, 2024, 07:35:50 AM
If you have good grasp in this market, you can take advantage of both seasons. During bear season, you can accumulate valuable coins, which has good potential of increasing its value when bull season comes. As no one can predict when will such period happen, you are just gauging your options which will best give you the profitability when you decide to sell-off.
Well, if someone masters the market then all conditions of the market can give that trader some profits. I personally try my best to accumulate only good and valuable coins during the bear market as those coins have very high chance of going up when bear market ends. Sometimes even in bear market those coins can give 10% to 40% profit without much worries.

I guess everyone knows that the best coin that one can accumulate during bear market is the one and only Bitcoin because once the bear market ends the Bitcoin keeps going up and sometimes it goes up and create new ATH. Other than Bitcoin, all those coins that were created in early times of crypto market and are still on top 10 list. Those coins can also give some profits.
274  Economy / Reputation / Re: You're making a fool of yourself, man, notblox1. on: September 11, 2024, 08:30:14 PM
It's better to not make posts in threads that are self-moderated because in those thread you can't really share your honest opinion about an issue because if your opinion somehow offends the OP of the thread then that might gets deleted without any prior warning.

I personally try to avoid posting in self-moderated topics because it's just like waste of one's energy and nothing else. But, I believe that topics in reputation board should not be self-moderated as in that board everyone should be allowed to share their opinion fearlessly.
275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is KCEX exchange a scam? Anyone have any ideas? on: September 11, 2024, 08:23:02 PM
Does anyone have experience with the KCEX exchange? The domain was registered in 2004 but the exchange has been active for 1 year.
I haven't heard about that exchange but I can really tell you that the domain names can be purchased by new holders when they get expired. There are so many domain name that expire on daily basis and one can buy those domain names at expired domain listing sites. However, I can't really confirm if that exchange is a legit one or not.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still got enough cash to buy this Bitcoin dip? on: September 11, 2024, 08:19:39 PM
Would you borrow, diversify or sell some assets inorder to buy Bitcoin dip, because of future profitable prospects?

Is buying Bitcoin dip worth the risk for you as a Bitcoin investor or trader ?
No, I never borrow money to invest in Bitcoin or any other asset even if those assets are in dip. No one knows about the future and if you borrow money in order to invest then you should keep in mind that you'll have to repay the borrowed money plus the interest that comes with it.

I do but Bitcoin in dip but with my own stable coins that I always keep in my accounts only so I can buy and accumulate more Bitcoin during the dips of the market. Sometimes after the dip I sell my bought Bitcoin and earn 1-4% profit within short duration. But, I never borrow money for that and I suggest everyone else to not borrow money for investing in Bitcoin.
277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeking Guidance on Name Change Request on: September 11, 2024, 07:52:37 PM
I haven't yet requested name change myself as I'm happy with my current username but I believe it could be only changed by Theymos. If you can send a good private message to Theymos and if he reads it and consider your name change request genuine then there's chance that he might change your username OP, otherwise you will have to keep the same username that you've picked during registration.
278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Binance restore trades to one Coin on: September 11, 2024, 07:46:25 PM
How can I gather my asset back to one coin? ETH.
That's quite simple and easy on Binance, you should only go to assets > spot and convert in into ETH. Whenever I need to convert small amount of a coin into USDT to another coin then I simply do that via direct asset conversion and that doesn't have any fees.
279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Or Bear Market which is most preferable to you? on: September 10, 2024, 11:05:39 PM
I like both bull and bear market, and I effectively utilize both market conditions. During bull market I often rely much on day trading or swing trading but when bear market starts then I give more priority to investing so I can get better results in long time. For me bull market has been quite useful as it's my daily driver and I enjoy it but similarly bear market is also quite good.
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you hold bitcoin until you receive item(s) ordered? on: September 10, 2024, 11:01:57 PM
I guess, cash on delivery with Bitcoin payment method should work in similar fashion like other types of cash on delivery. Let's say if someone orders items from a website that supports Bitcoin as payment method and allow Bitcoin based cash on delivery then it should be done by sending Bitcoin during parcel receiving. There's chance that during payment one may wait for sometime like 10-20 minutes to get confirmations. Such type of delivery system may not be possible when network is congested.
