262  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: KryptoKit removed from Chrome on: May 20, 2014, 08:03:11 AM
They can't "destroy" the bitcoins if the user properly backed up their wallet.  Private keys are stored client side.  However, I did lose 18+ btc due to user error when creating my "dumb" brainwallet.  For that reason alone I don't care that KK is gone.  I do admit it's not directly KK's fault.  But if I didn't use KK, I never would have lost them.  I also never kept anymore btc on it.  So to this day my stolen btc sit here:

263  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: $500 would you invest in CEX or Hardware ? on: May 08, 2014, 04:20:25 PM
Just buy $500 worth of btc, you'll never mine as much as you can buy with the same amount of money.  Dif is too high.  I used to ask, "Is bitcoin a scam?"  Good friend of mine said, "No, mining equipment is a scam."
264  Economy / Goods / Re: Yo-Yo's for sale! High-end aluminum. on: May 07, 2014, 02:13:09 PM
Okay, I took pics.  I didn't label them or anything.  If you want more/better pics of any one, let me know.  My camera kinda sucks.

Just copy the pic's link and PM me.  I'll try to make a better thread and pics.  This is a start.

Thanks!!!
265  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mine, or Buy? on: May 04, 2014, 08:17:00 AM
Mining is for suckers.  Buy, unless you want to do it for fun.
266  Economy / Goods / Re: Yo-Yo's for sale! High-end aluminum. on: May 03, 2014, 03:24:58 PM
That's a nice collection.
I'm not sure how big you are into yoyo's. One of my closest friends was Ben B (before he passed), who wrote 'CLYW The Complete History of Peak'.

I did not know Ben, I'm sorry for your loss.  I lost touch with the yoyo community around '10 when I moved to VA.  I was in OR for 5 years and visited Chico, CA and Seattle for a few contests.  I had a couple peaks, sold them.  They kept cutting my strings.  I have a serial #1 Torrent, not for sale btw.  I bought it from Tyler Severance, in person.  Tyler and Augie Fash are my favorite yoyo'ers.  I accidentally ran into Augie at Bird In Hand in Chico once.  He showed me a prototype 888 before they were even out.  I do visit a yoyo meet up group in VA sometimes, the little kids drool over my collection.  It's fun!

Thanks for sharing!!

edit:  I also have an Augie Fash signature 888 (small bearing.)  Bought from Augie, also not for sale, sorry...

Wow you have a really nice collection.  Wish I had room for all those.
Thanks! Thats only half of them.  It's hard to let them go but I need to deflate my collection, out of control and over due.  I'd post on eBay, but the fees!!!
My eBay profile is http://www.ebay.com/usr/joee1975
268  Economy / Goods / Re: Yo-Yo's for sale! High-end aluminum. on: May 02, 2014, 04:27:17 PM
prices please ! ?
Range from 50-150 depending upon yoyo.  So I guess I need to make a more detailed thread with each yoyo/description/name/pics/price, etc.  So much work!!!  Now that I'm looking at these, it's hard to let them go, but they're collecting dust.  I need to simplify my collection.  If someone wants to buy 35 of them, I have a glass display case.  I no longer have all the yoyo's in this pic, have sold some bought others.  I have 2 of these cases.  The glass slides out left to right or right to left depending on the case.

Okay guys, I work crazy hours so let me get back to you on all that.  I may make a cleaner thread.  Was just feeling if I should put the work in.  I have a lot of yoyo's.  Of course you can buy one or two.  I'm in northern VA.  Thanks!
270  Economy / Goods / Yo-Yo's for sale! High-end aluminum. on: May 01, 2014, 03:36:45 PM
I have a ton of metal/aluminum yoyo's I'd sell for bitcoin.  A few pics below with brand labeled on top.  I don't want to put a ton of work into taking more pics and building a huge thread if no one cares.  These can only be appreciated by a true enthusiast.  PM me if you're interested.  We'll go from there.  If I get some interest, I'll fine tune this thread (or make a new one) with more pics/descriptions/prices, etc.  I might just do it anyway.  Tongue

271  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way to take the bitcoins out of the U.S. ? Tax Free? on: May 01, 2014, 12:05:33 AM
Puerto Rico will never sell out to DC.  I think I'd better start learning Spanish.  My employer has stores in PR and I could totally relocate there half the year.  Hmmmm.
272  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way to take the bitcoins out of the U.S. ? Tax Free? on: April 30, 2014, 06:37:26 PM
Option 1: Spend some $100,000 and get a Dominican citizenship. Renounce your American citizenship. There is ZERO income tax in Dominica and you don't have to pay any.

Option 1: Spend some $400,000 and get a St Kitts - Nevis citizenship. Renounce your American citizenship. There is ZERO income tax in St Kitts - Nevis and you don't have to pay any.

Sadly the process for renouncing your citizenship in the US involves paying an exit tax.

LOL
Is this for real?

yeah, I never understood this, why not just leave and never come back?  Or keep your citizenship and move to Puerto Rico.  No federal taxes.
273  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way to take the bitcoins out of the U.S. ? Tax Free? on: April 29, 2014, 07:15:30 PM
It's not like the IRS can audit your btc holdings.  This is dumb.  I had btc stolen, I have no repercussions towards that either.  Wild wild west yal!
274  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way to take the bitcoins out of the U.S. ? Tax Free? on: April 29, 2014, 06:15:24 PM
Is this the bitcoin talk forum or the I want to pay my taxes forum?  Is this guy for real?  I've daydreamed about turning 100% of my net worth into btc and just disappearing.  Never ever did paying the IRS or wondering how I'm going to get my btc out of the country cross my mind.
275  Economy / Speculation / Re: what are the chances for a democratic revolution in china on: April 28, 2014, 01:57:53 PM
From what I've heard/read, the Chinese like it the way it is.  There is no move mass movement to change anything...at the moment.  They embrace capitalism, but are communist, it's weird.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 28, 2014, 04:15:31 AM
Gold is produced by a dead star.  Hard to compete with that.  The Au/Ag market is being manipulated.  They can't hold out forever.  Dude gave me gold plus cash for a Jupiter miner last week, I thought he was crazy.  But then again he probably thought I was crazy.  So much bias here.  Go to a gold forum and make the same argument, it'll be the exact opposite.  Clear the emotion from your argument.  Gold/silver can't be easily stolen, it's stood the test of time, thousands of years.  Governments want it.  You should want what governments want.  No gov wants btc.  They want guns/ammo too.  Those are real.  Btc can only prevail if mass adoption takes place.  As soon as btc price spikes again, and it prob will,  it'll crash again too, maybe harder next time. People are going to dump them like a big shit.  It's a bubble.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin ATM in Amsterdam on: April 26, 2014, 09:34:36 PM
Can I turn btc to euros if I'm there on vacation?  Hate my bank and their fees.  Btw, what are the fees to process btc thru your machine?
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 26, 2014, 07:58:59 PM
I would take the gold and sell it for Bitcoins. Then I would trade the Bitcoins for cadillac margaritas, porterhouse steaks and prostitutes until it was all gone.
As long as you're not using bitpay or similar service, that can work.  But until people get payed in btc, buy gas/food/rent/etc in btc, without a bitpay service, it's never going to work.

I take only verified gold/silver.  Coins/bullion/etc, no jewlrey.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 26, 2014, 07:26:53 PM
Gold, every day all day.  Time will tell, but when the economic USD shit hits the fan, people will flock to gold-silver, not btc.  There's no historical precedence for it.  Btc is a bubble.
280  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The US government has ordered MT Gox CEO to go to US on: April 15, 2014, 09:09:11 PM
The Japanese could extradite him.  He should just move to N. Korea, he'll be safer there.
