261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTCZ] BitcoinZ - Low Fees, 100% Community, POW-Equihash No-Premine No-Tax on: December 30, 2017, 10:20:29 PM
I was one of the first people to start mining this coin when it came out. I dumped everything I mined at 168 sats (thank god) because I was growning increasingly annoyed at the fact that they didn't consider changing the name and logo of the coin. People are starting to realize that just because it has "Bitcoin" on it doesn't mean it is anything remotely special. I like the idea behind this coin but hate the stupid named slapped on it. This coin would have so much more potential if it dropped the bitcoin name but hey, it made me A LOT of money!

PS. Yes I know it is private, gpu minable, decentralized, community raised, yada yada yada... I get that and those are some heavy pros to the coin, but I'm not touching another coin trying to ride bitcoins name.

Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin Gold (BTG)
Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Bitcoin Z (BTZ)
BitcoinDark (BTCD)
Bitcoin Planet (BTPL)
Bitcoin Plus (XBC)
Bitcoin Red (BTCRED)
Bitcoin Scrypt (BTCS)
BitcoinN (BTN)
Bitcoin Diamond (BCD)
Bitcoin Silver (BTCS)
Bitcoin Private (BTCP)
Bitcoin 21 (XBTC21)

Nobody will take this coin seriously with a name that is clearly trying to ride on bitcoins success, they'll just look at it as a cloned bitcoin shitcoin even if it's not.

Well if you had bought this bitcoin shit just 2 days ago, you would be p 50% today.

Your comments are similar to those made on Ripple 4 years ago when it was trading at a fraction of a cent.

I actually like the name.

Well first of all I never called it shit. I keep coming back to this thread since I genuinely like the project (just hate the name of the coin) and wanna see how it has progressed. I have noticed a lot of people calling it a shitcoin clone, which is what I was trying to explain above.

I was someone who was backing the project heavily but have gone back to ETN until the dev decides to start being active and answering concerns brought up by the community.  I feel like I have been more active myself answering questions while the dev is nowhere to be found and only answers once in a blue moon. I'm not FUDing but am simply concerned whether the dev is actually taking this seriously or not. We had a hugely strong start in terms of network hashrate but we're slowly losing it because the dev isn't giving updates/answering  questions.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] B2B coin - New CryptoNote/CryptoNight for b2b & MLM - Low Supply - Bounty on: December 30, 2017, 01:36:49 AM
Interesting project, will throw some hashrate your way from a couple of my miners (30kh/s) to strengthen the network. I'll keep following the project, I trully admire projects that start up with the help of the community. Staying true to those good ole crypto roots.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 29, 2017, 10:53:40 PM
I'm mining the coin but I'm starting to have some doubts regarding the legitimacy.

There're quite a few things that ring a bell of warning, IMHO:

1. gmail email for contact. Can't you handle your own servers ?
2. spell errors in the description. Seems somebody got tired towards the end and didn't even proof-read it.
3. misleading symbol. EDC is EducoinV and not edollar. Got me as it's a listed coin (Cryptopia).
4. speaking of exchanges: nothing. Can this be traded ?
5. funding: getting listed takes money. did you raise capital? do you have any ?
6. elusive: who are you guys ? speaking plural but no photos, names. not even handles.
7. site is down: atm I see nginx default page. Really ?

I could go on, but you get the idea. It does not look good.

I see what you're getting at also. The grammar is pretty bad but doesn't necessarily mean they were lazy about proof reading it. Could simply mean the devs don't use english as their first language. I saw the exact same thing with sumokoin when it first launched. It also had super choppy english (which is why I didn't mine early on) but was later fixed. No coin ever launches on exchanges unless it is an ICO or is partnered with a exchange as part of a fork. You can't expect this coin to pop up, have massive newtork hashrate and be trade ready. It takes time. They alreay meantioned the have 2% of the coins in cold storage for future funding/bounties for multiple things. Them being elusive doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. Satoshi is as elusive as they get yet nobody complains about Bitcoins creater being unamed really. They also already mentioned the VPS for the site is having issues which can't be fixed until Jan 2 due to the holidays (new years).

I do get what you are getting at though. I have had some doubt myself aswell but am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until after new years since I undestand these holiday seasons can be very busy and difficult to work with since everything is closed.

Mining pool:
USA https://pool.edollar.cash  <<< not stable
Singapore http://pool.electronicdollar.org  << show wrong data but pay money properly
EU https://edc.luckypool.io/ << seems good
http://edollar.cryptoserver.nl <<< no comment

Luckypool is a SCAM

After few days minning, no payment and no due cryptocurrency.
In the Discord channel they say it's because a problem processing low hashrate miners, but they don't care in keeping inviting people in different forums and hasn't even add a warning in their site; they just keep welcoming new miners who are never paid.

I have verified this with other 3 miners experiencing the same issues i did.

Regards,

Lucky pool has been working flawlessly with all my miners. It has the highest network hash for a reason. If it wasn't working nobody would be mining it which obviously isn't true. What hashrate are you pushing and what's your address to verify your shares. Seems like you're either exagerating or doing something wrong on your end. Unless you're like pushing 5h/s which would make sense lol
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 29, 2017, 06:08:07 PM

I like the last one. If it had a ligher gray background and a darker blue it would look best IMO.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 29, 2017, 05:59:20 PM
Can someone explain to me why pending balance is still at 0 despite the high number of shares that have already been submitted successfully?
i am mining at pool.edollar.cash

I'm assuming you just barely started mining within the last couple of hours right? If that's the case then it's perfectly normal. Your pending/paid balance only goes up when the pool finds a block and that given block has a maturity depth of 60.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 29, 2017, 04:05:28 PM
Please fix the google form link

It clearly says the airdrop has ended in the first page... Seems like nobody can read nowadays lol.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 29, 2017, 03:38:33 PM
Website still down. Dev please reply smthg
There is a problem with vps provider, our server was shutdown but they only reply our ticket after the new year holiday Sad. We will bring website up soon.

Okay, at least the pool is working, I only need that. Website can be down until 2 Jan, no problems at all.

Thanks for the update, figured it had something to do with the holiday season. December 25 launch is right after Xmas and New years xD everything is pretty much closed/ delayed.

Hello, i made 2 logo for your currency, i had PM you with the links. tell me if you like.

https://imgur.com/a/yx7jF

The colors can be tweaked.

The first logo looks great! Dynamic, modern and very interesting! Can I ask you to try other colors?

He said that the color can be tweaked. Perhaps pick a color and send him the color code, but I wonder who will decide the final design, dev or the community via voting?

It says in the first page:
"1. Logo design: EDC needs to be recognized by community and exchanges, we need an official logo for this project. Three designers get 5,000 EDC, candidate which voted by community will be chosen as official logo and get 10,000 EDC more."

So the community will pick the logo by voting for their favorite one 😆.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: December 29, 2017, 10:21:14 AM
Who is buying these things at 800 dollars? At that rate why not go with a 1080 Ti? The Vegas are only amazing at Cryptonight from what I can tell.  Almost a cryptonight ASIC as a mining card...

Why wouldn't they? A modified vega gets double what a 1080ti can net you in returns. Even if it's cryptonight/ethereum only there are these things called Exchanges where you can then convert to your coin of choice. Not sure if you've heard of them before.
Not anymore my friend. A 1080Ti, albeit overpriced, will now net you more per day than a Vega. If the Vega was priced at MSRP then there would be no contest. But at $800+, there are better choices out there.
You do realize the only reason for that is the sudden pump zclassic/zcash/zcoin/hush have had in the last couple days right?  Once difficulty adjusts Vega will still be better over all. When monero pumped from 140 to 400 vegas we're making 4X+ what anything else made. Guess what the difficulty caught up with moneros price and we're back at old profitably, same will happen with the 1080tis and we'll be back with vega as #1. Btw I have both reg moded vega rigs mining ETN and 1080ti rigs mining Equihash/Lyra2z. Can't even imagine the crazy profitability we'd get per card if ETN makes a price action,  would be insane.

In short the 1080ti can barely keep up with vega with huge price actions XD still no contest.

Hello dev. I checked the spreadsheet for airdrop and I am at 206th, I belong to the first 1000 people but why is it that we only received 200 EDR?

Did you not read the initial post lol? It said the first 100 not 1000. You weren't within the first 100. You got the correct amount.

Awesome, they look really good, can't wait to see all the designs once they're all submitted.

We need edollar on some exchanges soon, so investors can put some money into it  Grin

Agreed but we can't get to ahead of ourselves. We got a open bounty for the logo and translations. We need to set a few things straight before trying to get on exchanges lmao. Don't get overhyped, it takes time to build up the project. It's only 3 days young. We'll get there though  Grin.

network diff is still low.. so say mine a million coins now at 0 value.. and later on they become 1 or 10 cents Smiley

meantime on cryptoserver pool

 Hash Rate: 242.95 KH/sec
Block Found: about a minute ago
 Connected Miners: 5
 Total Pool Fee: 1%
Block Found Every: 5 minutes (est.)

need more miners  Grin 5 miners dominate 40% of network hash

It's not quite 40% we're growing really fast. We're close to breaking 1Mh/s total network hashrate. The total network hashrate on the pools hasn't updated yet.

https://edc.luckypool.io/ is pushing 252.51KH/s
http://pool.electronicdollar.org/ is pushing 302.91KH/s
http://edollar.cryptoserver.nl/ is pushing 350.32Kh/s

It's closer to 20% now  Grin Grin
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 28, 2017, 02:21:06 PM
Before we start designing the logo we should really look at changing the name of the coin itself. Electronic dollar has a fiat feel to it we don't really want associated with the coin. Just my 2 cents.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: December 27, 2017, 11:38:24 PM
how to mine solo?

You can do it by creating a private pool and directing your miner to it. I think there is another way to do it with your IP address but that's above my knowledge level xD
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: December 27, 2017, 05:09:02 PM
Is there any work on when a new batch of Vega’s will be available?  I can’t find these stinking things anywhere.

New models are coming.  Sapphire has a nice 3 fan version that ressembles the FURY they had a while back.  But until those get on the market....there wont be any for sale methinks.  And when they do...profitability is really good so they will fly off the virtual shelves.

The ASUS ROG Strix, Sapphire Nitro and the Powercolor Red Devil have been out for a while already lmao. There are people already using them. They sold out imediately as soon as they were made available. There are people already mining with them lol so good lucky trying to buy more than 1/2 at an inflated 60%+ price.
