261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / ANC & TAG on: December 04, 2013, 05:21:36 AM
I'm glad you flound the solution  Grin

How's it going with ANC and TAG?

Is TAG still forked?

BitBar is another I'd recommend.

It has become quite an annoyance to mine coins such as Lucky on this pool. Not so much because they hold little value but because Cryptsy is messed up. You can't even sell them fast enough. I've been sitting here clicking on a million sell orders cancelling and trying to sell while the price crashes, and of course autosell doesn't work either. Will switch away from the pool for a while until it makes sense again.

Cryspy has been having so many problems since they switched over their system without seeming to have tested it. I don't think they were even close to going live.

I think I was placing sell orders for LKY last night and watched the Lucky Cryspy fiasco begin. There was a large buy order that was being filled slowly and trading bots and/or autosell bots started placing sell orders above the big, but smaller than the large buy order. I would think the logical thing to do would be to start filling the highest ask first but no, Cryspy continued chipping away at the older order it had been working on in First Placed First Filled (FPFF) fashion. Suddenly a split the difference bot placed a sell midway between the newest highest ask and the big order bid. Then another, then a stream of one-tick higher orders came in until the ask rapidly went to 0.00000001.

That's why I do NOT trust AutoSell or any trading bot.

CoinEx is a smaller alternative to sell your alts.

Hey flound, what's the latest news from the home front mean  Huh

"Dec 03 12:40 AM Port 80/443 mining is now live!  Use port 80 for the Scrypt multiport, and port 443 for the SHA-256 multiport."

Should we change 8888 to 443, or, do we have an additional port, or, what  Huh

Cryptsy is saying the LKY issues are fixed

If I really Lucky I can buy ganja with my Cryptsy Points  Grin

Looks like we were on a bad fork of TAG.  The client was updated from when I had originally downloaded it.  I thought I did a git pull before compiling on the new server but apparently this was not the case.

That's the nature of the beast. It's happened to everyone before and it'll happen again  Cry

Whenever I see a coin at the top of CoinWarz claiming 8,000% profitability it seems there's sure to be a fork involved.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: December 01, 2013, 05:59:58 AM
Hi,

New to pool.  Cryptsy seems like the logical choice for directing coins but when you create deposit address at Cryptsy it says "Do NOT mine directly to your Cryptsy deposit address."  Is this a real concern or more a CYA thing on Cyrptsy's part.

I haven't read through this entire thread but is Cryptsy a pretty reliable place to withdraw coins for multipool, coin exchange prices not considered.  Also I looked on the help page of multipool and it appears I would be safe to set "1" coin as the auto-withdrawal default without incurring any extra fees (NVC, CGB, and CAP would be more expensive to withdraw often because of transaction fees)?

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure what Vern means is not to use a Cryptsy deposit address as a P2pool address. If you join a P2pool directly your username is your wallet address. Using an exchange address means the exchange cannot identify the proper account to credit. Not a problem for MP. Most of my coins go to Cryptsy.

Also, for BTC, LTC & PPC consider Vault of Satoshi if you want to convert to dollars. https://www.vaultofsatoshi.com/home

I've submitted 2192 shares for PeePeeCoin, but I don't have any balance, confirmed or unconfirmed. Where's my money? ;_;

I just heard from flound and there's over 7,000 TAG coins in the wallet.

He plans to have it online with withdrawal address, etc tonight.

TAG is up for testing on 3351

TAG mines fine as viewed from my cgMiner screen   Grin

Please add a TAG line to the stats page so we can see what it looks like to the database.

3.8.3 does not have a program called cgminer-nogpu.exe.

Your shortcut is probably pointing to the old directory. Delete it and make a new shortcut from the new directory.

Manual pools work just fine. And this worked as of three days ago with the same CGminer version.

I've seen that a lot, on and off, and it just keeps on mining.

Can you mine  Huh

Nope, Block Erupters remain 'steady green lit'. And CGminer just blanks out and sits there until I 'Q'.
I have a MP worker called BE just for Block Eruptors with Diff set to 1 on my Account page.
DL cgMiner 3.8.3 for your ASICs (cannot be used for GPUs): http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/
Use a separate folder for GPUs (3.7.2) and ASICs.
This is my bat file:
   timeout /t 10
   start /B /max cgminer.exe -c Block_Eruptors.conf
   exit
Create a shortcut and put it in your Start folder so they autostart every time you boot up.
This is my configuration file called "Block_Eruptors.conf":

272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Poor rig on sha256 multiport on: November 29, 2013, 09:48:30 PM
In the mean time, the altcoin profits are more than making up for any perceived loss of income with P2pool.  Currently I have a profit of ~0.05371482 BTC over the past 24 hours with my Little Single (~28 GH), which is over 250% what I would have made just mining Bitcoin.

I'm going to work on getting a Profit/MH/Sec and Profit/GH/Sec graph up on the main page so people can see exactly how the multiports are doing, but it requires a little backend work.

Shocked Forget the graph, get ANC and TAG online  Grin Grin Grin

504 Gateway Time-out   Undecided
Yes, here, too.  Seemed like my GPUs were still hashing accepted shares, but I switch to ANC pool for the time being.  I'll keep checking back.
That's the web being down. Has nothing to do with the mining submits and database.

However, to know what's going on look at cgMiner and press "P" to see your list of pools and their Dead or Alive status. MP seems to be dead at the moment. cgMiner will continue to poll it and when it goes live it will switch back.

Always specify "failover" pools as a safety back up.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Poor rig on sha256 multiport on: November 29, 2013, 04:37:52 PM
I tried to move my poor rig to multipool sha256, but it is not as expected.  Huh 5 USB erupters with only 1,65GHash/s after 15 minutes hashing BTC on multiport are reporting 8 accepted shares, 2 rejected and 8 hardware errors. Tried moving from eu to us server, tried changing user difficulty from 2 to 1 (cgminer 3.1.1 reports much higher difficulties), no change. Allmost all lines are "stratum from pool X requested work restart". Moving back until someone gives advice for setting small hash miners with sha256 multipool...
Yes, this is a concern. I have both BFL Singles and Block Eruptors running. My BEs run great for FRC, TRC & ZET if I set their Diff to 1 on my Account page. Since BTC is a P2pool it operates differently and species the difficulty. P2pool moves very fast and I'm not sure BEs can keep up.

I feel like I'm getting credit for shares submitted by my BEs, even though my BTC accepts are very low, but I'm not turning off my BFLs to test it.

Flound, can you shed some light on this BE issue in the BTC pool???
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 29, 2013, 04:34:02 PM
If I switch from LTC to FTC the hash rate drops by 50 is that normal?
Drops by 50 what units???

Click on Account and you'll see your 1 minute and 10 minute average hash rate. You may just be seeing a lag due to FTC not having hashed for 10 minutes.

If I watch cgMiner during a coin switch my miners do my miss a beat. The web page needs time to catch up.

What does the lock option do in payment configuration? Thanks in advanced.
Just means nobody can change your wallet address without using your PIN.

We have 5TH from Ciphermine coming in on the Multiport soon.  Formal announcement here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=346400

Well there here.. Smiley

Only down side is they have soo much more gh/s then the rest of us... meaning 90%? or more is going to them.. so why should us peons with our few gh/s mine here now that you have a whale of a miner . Good for them and good for you, but the rest of us?

Payout frequency will go up and variance will go down.

As in all financial matters the disparity between the haves 'n have-nots is only going to get worse as the world is flooded BFL Monarchs, KnCMiner Neptunes and Uranuses, CoinTerras, etc...

TAG and ANC should be up this week, I have been meaning to add them for a long while but other things kept getting in the way.
Excellent! I gave them a test run and they mine fine  Grin

BitBar (BTB) is another well behaved scrypt coin. Unobtanium (sic, why didn't they spell it right?) (UNO) is a nice SHA coin that behaves like ZET.

Do NOT mine GoldCoin (GLD) as it gave me over 90% rejects. You will NEVER earn your electric bill  Angry
