Hi everybody, I'm developing a private key sweeper to redeem paper wallets easily  It will be an API so anybody can use the service for their own CAPTcoin applications. I have plans to create an Android sweeper in the near future. It would allow the user to scan a private key, enter a destination address and connect to this API to redeem it. To be clear, this service doesn't import the private key. It creates a transaction that sends the full amount held in the paper wallet directly to the entered destination address. A very simple but functional (although not enough tested) service is already available here: If you want to test it, make sure to use private keys with a low balance (1 CAPT or so). (You can create a paper wallet here, send 1 CAPT to it, wait about 5 minutes for the TX to confirm, and use the service to redeem it to another address). Beware: - This service is still under development.
- A network fee of 0.001 CAPT will be charged to make sure the TX is confirmed. In the future I'll improve the logic to calculate the exact required fee.
- Make sure to use HTTPS.
- It's recommended to never use the same paper wallet again after sweeping it.
- Only fully confirmed transactions are supported now. If the address has a transaction with less than 4 confirmations or less than 3-minute old, an error will be shown and the private key won't be redeemed (nothing will be lost, just try again later).

Mmm probably that's an important factor. I mean that people are not sure I will do that hehe. They just have to trust me for the moment. So in 11 days when I really destroy all the remaining coins and nobody has to trust me (or anybody else) anymore, that will help to establish CAPTcoin and rise its price. Must be done with some 'fanfare'... like an invited to the forum chat for a 'destruction' party or something That sounds like a really good idea, we could do it in an IRC chat like the one a few days ago. Good idea Either on IRC, or here to get some attention  Something like 1 million coins destroyed every 5 minutes or so. |

About navigation, ergo, what about adding some NavBar right under the Header ? I can design three icons : RichList, Addresses stats and CAPT stats.
Or what about showing everything at the same time? For example the general stats at the top, then the search form for a specific address, and then the first page (top 50). At the bottom, there could be either the pager as it is now, or a "Show more" button or link to load more via jQuery. About the color, I don't know but I think a darker one (even black) would be easier to read. I was forgetting about "wealth_distribution" and "average" from https://api.captcoin.com/address/top/stats. Including that, it would probably be too crowded to show everything on one page. |

So I can now ask somebody to send a payment to ce4 and that would be enough. ok I understand now is very good idea, by the way how many letters and digits use prefix? is fixed 3 only? Whatever number of characters is required to uniquely identify an address. Older addresses have priority and therefore usually have a shorter prefix. For example, if you enter the prefix 'c', you'll get the address used to mine all 20 million CAPT, because it was the first one to appear with that prefix (the first CAPTcoin address ever). On the other hand, if your address shares the same 5 first characters with an older one, then 6 chars would be required to uniquely identify it. |

i buyed some captcoin but the wallet isn't staking now for days , i encrypted the wallet and unlock it or does it only stake on an wallet what is not encrypted?
please any advise
edit : i do not see an icon for staking too
Your wallet has to be online and either unlocked or non-encrypted. That's all. The process is random, the more coins you have and the older your coins are, the more chances you have to stake. |

Then you'll get the rest on the next one. Transactions are automatically generated at 2am and 2pm UTC. So if you claim something at 2:02pm, you'll get it after 2am. I execute the transactions manually, but even if I do that at 4pm it only includes the transactions generated at 2pm. |
