You are selling 140 GHS for 0.5 btc?! Why buy it from you when you could buy over 500 ghs on other sites that are legt? (Hashnest)

I agree with this. Hashnest is a legit site, and you can get WAY more hashpower than that. You won't make much with 140Gh/s, sorry.

No one said hashnest isn't a legit site.   But once again, since I'm not selling hashnest gh/s, then there is no point in bringing it up.  If you don't want it, don't buy it.  Very simple.

But that isn't fair, I am just trying to warn others. You'd only make about 0.32 cents a day, and your charging 0.5 BTC, and that 0.32 cents is WITHOUT any fee's, electricity, etc. So you are selling your misfortune for a big price hoping to get a willing customer to buy into your SCAM.  Smiley

Are you kidding me?   "My scam"  lol.   I don't own the company.  And like I said, it is one of the few legit companies.   And I am selling quite a bit less than retail.   And maybe if you took 3 seconds and read my post, or the mining sweden page, you would see that electricity is included which is why the prices are high.   Considering hashnest winds up being upwards of 50% of fees, your argument is invalid.  So troll on pal.

A) MiningSweden IS legit.   They are one of the few companies that provide full proof of their mining capacity.
B) People who like miningsweden might be interested in this because it is cheaper than purchasing direct.
C) They are not equivalent.   Miningsweden includes all fees, hashnest charges fees per gh/s
D) Why would you make such a stupid, pointless comment?   If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.    There was zero need for your comment whatsoever.

2605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if I disconnect my pc will my BTC be safe on: June 05, 2015, 02:45:42 PM
I think no
but someone can physically take your bitcoins either taking you wallet.dat file, or exporting private keys or other way

No but if you have keylogger or malwares in your PC, there is a chance that your Bitcoins can be stolen once you connect to internet.

That's good then.

It is actually recommended that you store your BTC on a computer that is offline most of the time.   A lot of us have cheap laptops that have a bitcoin wallet on them that are not connected to the internet.   It is much safer.

So, the Amazon pre-order states that it will be released on December 31st.   Is that just a placeholder until the announcement on an actual date is made?    Any speculation on release dates?
2607  Economy / Auctions / Re: Start Your Own Bitcoin Poker Site - BTC Poker Mavens Integration Script. on: June 04, 2015, 04:13:26 AM
I'm not interested in buying your script, but I do have a few questions (mainly out of curiosity).  If, once you sell the script to someone else, do you still retain the right to sell it again elsewhere?  How do you prevent the people you sell this to from making copies and sharing it (source code or binaries)?  This relates to the auction part, in a normal auction, there's only N of the item for sale (usually N=1 and always N is finite).   This scarcity is what drives the auction mentality, there's only 1 of this item and the seller wants the highest price so the buyers compete.  Where you can copy software, it's not clear why buyers should compete.  They may as well wait for you to sell it to one of them and then share among each other or something like that.

Don't take me as trolling, I'm just quite curious about this.

Scarcity is not the only thing that drives an auction price up.   Normal selling price does.  I am only selling a few copies at auction and the rest will be sold at my normal retail price.   And sharing a script like that is called piracy.   It is copyrighted.

So, here's the follow up question, why would anyone buy at auction what they could buy at a "normal retail price"?  It seems that the only way that makes sense is if the auction price stays below the "normal retail price".

Anyway, I guess I can leave off here.  I don't want to spoil the fun and I don't really believe in proprietary software so I guess I'm not your target audience.

Umm, it is lower than my normal retail price.   I sell this for 1.5 BTC.  This auction starting price is 1

Here is one of the most profound, intelligent, and logical responses to pascals wager that I have ever heard.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqz0plz6DEs

Where in that saccharine, 'omg, atheists, what if you die and the Xtian god is there!'

I could only get through the first few minutes, if there is anything of substance in that video, please cite at which time point it is said.

"One of the characteristics that has always been attributed to the christian god is omni-benevolence.   If I die, and much to my dismay I am standing in front of god, what would happen?  He would know that I did not disbelieve because I was being rebellious or evil, but because there were simply too many holes in the story.  He would know my morality, and that I am a good person.  He would know my intentions.    I highly doubt that an omniscient, omnipotent, and omni-benevolent god would punish me for all eternity knowing the truth."

Paraphrased of course.

What if he starts questioning your actions instead of your faith and shows you videos projected on a cloud of you touching yourself while sniffing a pair of dirty panties? Do you think he would believe that was ok or would he send you to hell?

If an "all loving god" wants to send me to hell for playing with myself, ok.   I would be kind of embarassed if he projected it on a cloud though.
2611  Economy / Auctions / Start Your Own Bitcoin Poker Site - BTC Poker Mavens Integration Script. on: June 03, 2015, 06:05:43 AM
Have you ever dreamed of starting your own Bitcoin poker site?   It is now easier than ever!

We had this custom script made for http://allincrypto.com.  It allows for you to integrate a copy of the legendary Poker Mavens software with Bitcoin.  It features quite a few bells and whistles that we felt would help make a good poker site.

Script features:
*Accept Bitcoin for deposits and withdrawals.    23 other crypto's can be used for deposit as well via the Shapeshift.io API.
*2 Factor Authentication
*Admin Panel for withdraw approvals
*Withdraws can be by approval, or automatic.   Trusted users can be whitelisted to have their withdrawals processed instantly.
*Email based password recovery
*Variable withdrawal fee
*Script communicates directly with the Poker Mavens API.   Balance changes are automatic.

What do you get?
Script + Installation Instructions.  Base support will be provided for free, while a complete install will cost an additional 1 BTC.

What do you need?
*Pro or Gold Poker Mavens License.
*Server - Poker Mavens is a Windows only binary, so if you wish to run the script on the same server you will need a decent Windows server with WAMP.  If you wish to run the web server on a Linux machine, Poker Mavens will need to be run elsewhere.
*Blockchain.info Account (free)
*Shapeshift.io API Key (free)

2615  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Silk Road Operator Ross Ulbricht to Be Sentenced Today on: June 01, 2015, 05:23:55 AM
Life in prison without parole.  He'll never set foot outside of prison again for the rest of his life.

I wonder if this will deter other scammers, or do most people think they will never be caught, like he did?

I'm sorry, I am not up to date on this story.  Did he scam people or did he just operate silk road?
Isn't he same thing?

However in few years, when they legalize half of the stuff that was available on Silk Road, his punishment will become even more ridiculous, not to mention false laws at the first place. We're not living in the free world, we're living in fucking Matrix, I feel real sorry for him.

No, they aren't the same thing.  Operating a black market is one thing, but trying to milk money out of people under false pretexts is a different thing.
