2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 25, 2021, 11:47:11 PM
They possibly cannot contain the sudden emotion they felt. This could happen to those who are really in need and obsessed of money. There might also be other complications they have aside from being shocked. A sudden emotion can trigger the complications you truly have, they are just not aware of it.
Also, do not talk about diseases of the cardiovascular system, if the winner experienced problems about this, because winning the jackpot lottery, although a pleasant stress, but still stress. Increased attention to your person in people who are not used to it at all is also not the most pleasant event in the nervous plan. Therefore, I was not surprised to learn that a woman who recently won the jackpot in the lottery decided to keep her incognito, because calmness is one of the main keys to health.
2602  Economy / Economics / Re: Florida bank says it has closed Trump's accounts on: January 25, 2021, 11:31:38 PM
Bitcoin would never work for Trump because all wealth is tied to extreme use of leverage.  That's not uncommon in the real estate industry, most real assets are highly levered.  But Trump losing access to the banking system at large will be a death knell for him personally because he can't refinance his loans and he definitely doesn't have the cash to pay them off.  He'll be forced into bankruptcy when his $340m Deutsche Bank loan is due, or else he'll be forced to sell a boatload of assets at fire sale prices to raise the money needed to pay the loan off.
I think that under the modern system of capitalism, it is generally difficult or almost impossible to conduct any business without the availability of borrowed funds, even in the form of bank loans, even in the form of investing business angels in startups. Trump already had quite strained relations with the political establishment at the beginning of the presidential term, but in the process of fulfilling his powers, Trump seemed to have begun to establish relations with the Republican party apparatus, but recent events and Trump's behavior again brought all progress to naught. Therefore, if Trump does not change his line of conduct, then indeed he may be left without his wealth and also without a political future.
2603  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: January 25, 2021, 11:15:17 PM
Today people are tired not only of the banking system, but also of other financial organizations, such as Microfinance Organizations, which use the poor financial condition of people, squeeze the last funds from each person, providing loans under very bad conditions. Against the background of Microfinance Organizations, any Bank seems to be a kindergarten institution, where conditions and opportunities are much softer and easier for each client.
That's where the government will come in if these institution is offering loans that does not have a reasonable interest of the people. I think microfinance loans focus on the poor people to help them, but this loan does not come with collateral and therefore they need to educate people to use the funds in starting a business or additional capital of the existing business, without that and without proper monitoring, the funds will be diverted to other purposes and the problem will start.
Financial literacy is what the poor needs, for them to know their obligation and for them to manage the funds they borrowed effectively.
Financial literacy in general will not prevent anyone, including more affluent people, and not just the poor, because in the absence of financial literacy, you can turn from just wealthy to just poor Wink Entrepreneurship also requires some talent and a certain mindset, and not everyone will necessarily succeed in this area, and vice versa, it is possible to ruin, so giving advice about the fact that borrowed funds should be spent only on business is quite risky advice.
2604  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: January 25, 2021, 11:00:39 PM
How poor are the poor. If you mean those who don't have access to shelter, foods electricity etc I would say to some extent it might not. To make use of bitcoin you need internet and education. Poor people don't have this. Secondly some people are not poor but deliberately don't want to get banked due to some reasons or the others. A lot of people that I know that even have education cannot simply comprehend what and how to send and receive bitcoin. Poor people need education and internet in order to use bitcoin unless there exist a tech that address this
We can talk about bitcoin helping really poor people only to an indirect extent, because really if a person does not have access to the necessary amount of food, as well as to electricity and the Internet, then it is impossible to talk about any cryptocurrencies in their case. Such people have completely different priorities in life and cryptocurrencies do not play any significant role at this point in time. Although I think that in the future there may be some special cryptocurrency projects to help the poor, when cryptocurrencies really penetrate into all segments of the population.
2605  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptocurrencies Really Money? on: January 25, 2021, 10:49:33 PM
Central banks digital currencies are money. No doubt on it, because a digital currency is just the digital representation of the traditional fiat. Cryptocurrency is something different and is all about the blockchain technology. This technology evolution and adoption into banking sector have changed a lot, but the real blockchain technology survives.
We can only talk about some potential signs of real money in cryptocurrencies, because so far no state has a circulation of cryptocurrencies as the main monetary unit, and without this, it is a waste of time to talk about the fact that cryptocurrencies are real money. But as for this, strong progress is problematic, because the entire system of government and management is built for fiat money.
2606  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami mayor considers investing in bitcoin with public funds on: January 25, 2021, 10:34:44 PM
More and more people inspired to invest in cryptocurrencies, it is music to my ears. Bitcoin is the most trustworthy coin on the market right now, and is the gateway coin of many of us into the industry. What I am most concerned about is the man's integrity. He could get so greedy as to use bitcoin to launder the people's money, which I hope don't happen of course.
I also hope that this person is an honest person, but still his ideas at this stage sound very risky given the instability of the exchange rate of cryptocurrencies and the potential for a multiple collapse in prices. It would be much more productive if he continues to offer ideas on how to introduce cryptocurrencies into the city's activities, than to express thoughts about bitcoin speculation on the funds of the city he leads.
2607  Economy / Economics / Re: What We Should Learn From Elon Musk Influence on: January 25, 2021, 10:27:11 PM
There's no evidence that Elon's tweets affected the price of bitcoin. He tweeted about Bitcoin during a bull run and the price was already rising. Any extra effect is likely to be for a limited duration because someone famous saying something about a company doesn't change the fundamentals of the company.
Elon has an overarching feud with Zuckerberg, that's why he's blasting WhatsApp.  Since Signal isn't a publicly traded company, there's also no correlation with a stock price move there.  However, could someone famous touting a service lead to increased usage of that service?  Yeah of course, that's literally what advertising is built off.
About Signal in general, there was a funny story when, as a result of Musk's tweet, investors began to buy shares of Signal Advance and the share price increased 12 times. However, it turned out later, according to the developers, that indeed Signal is not placed on the exchange and Signal Advance has nothing to do with the messenger at all. Therefore, it is still possible to talk about the correlation with the movement with the stock price, but by mistake Wink
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 25, 2021, 12:43:35 AM
Manchester united was awesome today and i think they deserve the qualification...liverpool scored the equalizer two times but the united was able to score again and in the end they get the qualification
Liverpool was the first to score before Greenwood equalized to put Man Utd back in the game. Man Utd took the lead later in the second half and Liverpool had to equalize to get back in the game. I feel we lost the game due to our poor defending. Man Utd first 2 goals was due to defensive errors, first by Milner, the other one by Rhys Williams. It's tiring to work so hard to put yourself back in a game you're losing only to concede again.
Liverpool looked better from the start of the second half, levelled the score on purpose and continued the pressure well. After that, I thought that Liverpool would not miss their chance and squeeze Manchester. But then there was this free kick and the goal that followed. After that, for some reason, Liverpool could not add and make the last assault, and United were able to bring the match to victory and give Solskjaer the first victory over Liverpool as a head coach.
2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 24, 2021, 11:57:36 PM
A lot depends on when McGregor will play the next match and whether he will play at all. Although something tells me that Connor hasn't said his last word yet and will try to come back. Another question is that because of this lost match, we can probably forget about the possibility of a fight with Pacquiao for at least a year. Conor needs to restore his fighting reputation in MMA, and not to be engaged in conducting show fights in boxing.
2610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 24, 2021, 11:44:05 PM
Atletico Madrid got a deserved victory at home to Valencia; winning the tie with 3 goals to 1, with goals from talisman Luis Suarez, Felix and Correa; the Atletico team is full of confidence and quality players and are riding on to the league title already, Atletico are 7 points clear of neighbors Real Madrid with 2 unplayed tie
Atletico is showing the most consistent and consistent performance at this point in time, but there is still a lot that can change in the remaining half of the season. I do not believe that Barcelona and Real Madrid will simultaneously fail the end of the championship, and some club of them, or maybe both clubs at the same time will arrange serious competition for the wards of Diego Simeone.
2611  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: January 24, 2021, 11:15:50 PM
Now that there is already a vaccine , could it be the end of covid- 19 virus? How are you after one year of covid-19 pandemic?
Hopefully that the vaccines that were created will significantly decrease the people from acquiring the Covid virus. But given its wide-scale damage caused globally, this will take a long time until the virus gets eradicated completely.
Take Polio virus as an example, it became a global pandemic in the 1940-1950s which killed at least half a million people.1 Although a vaccine was successfully created, the virus still exists today but in very limited quantities.
The creation of a covid vaccine in such a short amount of time gives me hope about the future scientific research that may solve the cure for HIV and cancer. I do hope that this would start the journey towards a scientific breakthroughs of other viruses that may be curable in the future.
I would still not count on the complete disappearance of COVID 19, but undoubtedly vaccination should bring the situation in a manageable direction and in a year we will not hear about all sorts of restrictions and lockdowns. Let's hope that the governments of the countries will learn the lessons and that more funds will be allocated for medical research now, because the current epidemic has shown what economic losses a serious pandemic can bring.
2612  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: January 24, 2021, 11:00:57 PM
A lot in the market proves the market is still young, we have not seen such an acquisition by institutions and we don't know what the retail traders will bring. I can't imagine the market response when institutions buy into Ethereum and effect on other altcoins. The price effect is a bit different from the past cycle
On the one hand, the situation is slightly different from previous years, on the other hand, we can still see the trends that have already formed. And these trends suggest that the more bitcoin and alternative coins are introduced into traditional markets, acquiring features in the form of accompanying exchange instruments, the higher the exchange price will be. That is, the lower limit of the exchange rate price in the case of a collapse and the upper limit in the case of a take-off are now twice as high.
2613  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptocurrencies Really Money? on: January 24, 2021, 10:50:55 PM
Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that is very original in the circulation of the internet, but digital currency can never have a physical form that can be held, because the digital name shows that this currency only exists on the internet and its circulation can only be done digitally, What is even more terrible is that this digital currency can have very expensive exchange rates depending on the available supply.
Any cryptocurrency is digital, but not every digital currency is a cryptocurrency Wink In general, digital currencies can have a physical form, it all depends on the terminology used, and fiat currencies are a prime example of this. Also, for the circulation of digital currencies, it is not necessary to have the Internet, because any network of interconnected devices is enough for this. Another question is that it is much more convenient to do this with the Internet because of the availability of a ready-made working infrastructure.
2614  Economy / Economics / Re: Will President Joe Biden be good for business? on: January 24, 2021, 10:40:10 PM
It is too early in my opinion to assess the performance of President Joe Biden, let him work properly with all the economic policies that have been
made. It is very interesting to see whether the economic policies that have been made by President Joe Biden are different from Trump's whether
they can work better. We all just wait 100 days to assess whether President Joe Biden can make America's economy better or not. Hopefully
President Joe Biden can provide evidence to the American people that it is not wrong to elect him as the new President of America.
How can you even assess Biden's economic performance if he has just started working and is adjusting the state apparatus for himself and his team, making new appointments? Economic policy will be different in any case and will be expressed in higher taxes for corporations and rich citizens, as well as initiatives in the social sphere. But it will be too early to give an assessment after 100 days, because now the situation is atypical due to the epidemic and the main activity and fight will develop in this direction.
2615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 22, 2021, 11:59:05 PM
Yeah just have seen it that Dortmund has lost there game , shit , was thinking that they maybe will win the match after the bad played weeks they got.
But dont know whats happend to Dortmund as they sucks realy now and for sure Gladbach also playing well more and more .
Hope that tomorrow some of my bets will be better.
Probably not for nothing before the start of the match, many experts preferred Gladbach, but after the first half and good goals from Haaland, I had some doubts about this. I would not be surprised if the norwegian will be in Real Madrid next season, for example, because the current Borussia Dortmund is no longer his level of ambition, and his famous football agent is already making significant statements. However, the second half and the result of the match still confirmed some instability of Dortmund and the change of coach is clearly not having the positive effect that was expected.
2616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 22, 2021, 11:50:36 PM
Conor's chance in this fight is just to survive in the 12 rounds if this is a 12 rounds fight, no chance of winning as Pacquiao would not allow that to happen. This is a good fight if it's not an exhibition fight (which I think it's not) because this will add in the resume of Pacquiao just like Mayweather.
Everyone is talking about this fight because of the popularity of the two fighters but if we ask people about their opinion on this fight, the answer is unanimous, Pacquiao wins without a doubt.
Undoubtedly, Conor is unlikely to be able to withstand all 12 rounds of the fight, but I have some doubts that it will be 12 rounds, and not let's say 10 rounds. As for McGreggor's resume, it's a fight with such great boxing fighters as Mayweather and Pacquiao. But there is much more doubt about the positivity for Pacquiao's resume, unless it is an additional way to attract attention to yourself in the light of rumors about the beginning of Pacquiao's political career.
2617  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: January 22, 2021, 11:41:59 PM
How can a company make endless profits year after year every year if there is finite amount of money?
This means there needs to be money printed every year, and those companies make tens of billions of dollars each while regular people have few hundred increases every year, maybe few thousand if they are lucky. As you can see we started from first step and showed how they hurt regular people, that is another reason to hate them.
It's not as simple as you're trying to imagine and you're a little misguided or trying to mislead. According to your logic, it turns out that all financial organizations work efficiently and always earn a profit, but in a market economy, this should not happen. Because there is a constant struggle and some players win against other players. Some get rich, while others go bankrupt or become the object of absorption of a more successful competitor. The invisible hand of Adam Smith's market must be at work.
2618  Economy / Economics / Re: Will President Joe Biden be good for business? on: January 22, 2021, 11:30:29 PM
Yet we can't be sure about what gonna happen because Biden didn't make any solid, important and life changing decision regarding to the business. But generally, he is an old man and I don't expect to see someone at his age interested with the technology business such as bitcoin. In the other hand, he is a democrat and usually democratic political man will open borders to the foreign business companies with other countries. However, time will show us the truth about him.
In general, the president does not have to be very interested in the technology business, because you can not be competent in all matters and the best thing he should do is to assemble a competent team that should be well versed in their issues. And as for the Democratic Party, I would like to say that, apparently, the pendulum will swing in the other direction and there will be an increase in taxes, which were reduced under the Republican administration of Trump and less protectionist policies, because Trump had a little too much with this.
2619  Economy / Economics / Re: The sale of the COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web continues. on: January 22, 2021, 11:20:34 PM
Scammers are just taking advantage of people, at least where I live and I suppose that in many other countries as well the vaccine is going to be up for purchase, so if you are not going to be in one of the groups that is going to be vaccinated first you will have the option to buy it, but right now that is nothing but a dream as there is simply not enough supply of the vaccine, so scammers are making use of these facts and they are trying to make it seem as if they have access to the vaccine and sell it on the black market for such an outrageous price.
In some countries, vaccine tourism has already begun to flourish, when wealthy citizens travel to one arab country to relax and get vaccinated in combination with rest outside of all queues. Scammers play on such strings of the soul of certain people who do not want to wait for their turn in the case of mass vaccination, want to use a vaccine that is not available in the country of residence or just save money.
2620  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami mayor considers investing in bitcoin with public funds on: January 22, 2021, 11:09:34 PM
*what! the Miami mayor thinks that public funds are his personal money...
He made his own timed bomb. he was too brave to do that. In my city, this is a criminal offense regardless. what if Bitcoin crashes, will he be able to convince the Miami citizens?
In the event of a bitcoin crash, this mayor has two workable strategies. One of these strategies is to sell bitcoin at low prices in order to return at least part of the invested funds. The second strategy is to wait patiently for the exchange rate price of bitcoin to return to its original levels or even exceed the purchase price. Another question is whether the mayor will have enough time to wait for this moment before the expiration of his term of office Wink
