I agree that the referee will have to look closer, if the shooter is going on the defender's body and the defender is going vertical or shall I say straight after the shooter, then it should be a foul on the shooter.
Curry is know to abuse this before, so we will see if referee are going or a "no call", or worst offensive foul on him.
But the one earlier is a clean mistake from Curry's defender. He's really good at attracting the contact,
for sure, Steve Kerr knows the new rule, but he is not convinced that this one is part of it. He smiles while talking to the ref.
But I agree with this new rule as players is no longer can initiate contacts,
Young and Harden are really good at doing this one to get the refs attention,
if the refs will call offensive foul, we will see more adjustment in the players side,
they won't take the risk of doing this old trick.

I think, I kind of like this new rule implemented. Though we might need some more time to judge it perfectly, but from a naked eye, it seems kind of fair to me. Players like Lebron and Harden are good at abusing this technique but I think if this rule is strictly followed, we might see a shift of attackers trying other kinds of playstyle. Maybe just let some games fly by and then we can come to a conclusion about this rule being fair or not.

The NBA organization does review the feedback of the people as well, and it's always good to see this kind of change that is beneficial for the PBA in overall. Some players master this strategy, they should change it to a new one in order to comply, otherwise, they'll not be effective this coming season.

Anyways, have you guys been following the preseason already?

There are plenty of games played already and it's time to see our favorite players again although some would just play a very small minutes.

Another casual 20:3 run in the last quarter, PBA rig fest at its best.

So what do you think will happen next game?

Do you have fixed game information on this game between SMB vs TNT?

Share it, please.  Grin

He maybe won't be forced to get vaccinated but it will affect the team's performance as he has to sit in home games according to the report.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2021/09/23/warriors-wiggins-reportedly-wont-get-vaccinated-and-so-may-miss-all-home-nba-games/?sh=68cafee024ae

Quote
Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins, the team’s second-leading scorer last season, has remained steadfast in his refusal to get vaccinated, according to multiple published reports, a decision that could have a significant impact on the Warriors team, as unvaccinated players could be forced to sit out home games due to local vaccine-related regulations.

He is putting the GSW season at risk of losing games because without him, they will not be complete, so his decision could be detrimental to the team.
That is the difficult part. Do you know why NBA rejected Wiggins request? Was he caught lying about the religious reason? The reason is still unclear to me.

I also don't understand Wiggins asking for an exemption and insisting until now when he clearly said he may get a shot when he's forced to do so. The NBA isn't saying it directly but they are actually forcing him to be vaccinated.

It's because of the safety protocols being put into place by the NBA since last year. There are several players being caught violating this protocols and have been suspended or fine if I'm not mistaken. So Wiggins case this is a violation of NBA protocols.

Yes, it's a subtle way for NBA to tell Wiggins to get vaccinated or else he can't play, simply as that.

Well, he has no choice, he is in the NBA to play and make money and he has to get vaccinated if he wants to play.

I'm just curious, what is the religion of Wiggins? as honestly, I don't know any religion that prohibits its people to get vaccinated.

Mills experienced if being used by Coach Nash may bring good impact,
this dude can act as role player who takes good care of the ball and keeps the rotation for the trio,
while if given a chance, he can also shoot with high percentage accuracy.
Almost forgot, they also have Aldridge on their roster. If he certainly is in good health after all the "retiring" thing that happened then the 2nd team of the Nets will have a good chemistry with Patty Mills and him. Other players like Claxton, Millsap, Bruce Brown or Harris (stretch the floor) could easily just follow their lead and be the strongest 2nd team in the league. That scared me a bit and made me pee a little with goosebumps.  Grin

Disregarding injuries and health issues. Guys, who do you think will be the season MVP?
IMHO: Kevin Durant - that Olympic game gave us the preview of what he will do this season.

I have a feeling that Luka will win the season MVP, Durant will still play like he usually does, but having Harden and Irving in the same roster, that will divide the production while on the other hand, Luka could easily make a triple-double every game.

as the betting odds suggest also, it's Luka who is at the top favorite to win.

This reminds me Floyd Mayweather vs Tenshin Nasukawa fight, were Floyd just flew to Japan to have an exhibition fight, that more looks like a sparing. That evening Floyd has earned 9 millions for 2 minute boxing against a kickboxer. GGG fight is going to be the same - it is all about money.

This is different because it's a professional fight, but we know who will win already since GGG is a great boxer and he could KO a boxer that is not on his level. I don't know about his opponent as he is not popular, I was thinking that at this point of GGG's career, he should be fighting big fights.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: More women addicting problem in UK on: September 22, 2021, 09:56:11 AM
Women want equality, so this should not concern us. we are in the generation where women can work as men, so they can do what men can do as well. It's just that, women are more emotional, so when they are into gambling, they are easily get addicted.

it's not alarming though since gambling does not destroy life, it's our being irresponsible does.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 16, 2021, 09:50:59 PM

People expect a lot from Silva now because he won by KO in the first round, this guy really is smart, he doesn't need to be the one who is the aggressor but he is just waiting for the right timing, maybe next time if someone will challenge him, they will think twice of attacking him as his counter punching skills is very accurate and he has a powerful punch.

Well, you can not have it all, brains and brawl but Anderson Silva is really gifted with both, and if someone would surely challenge him it should be like himself but that is surely difficult, but that level of thinking inside the ring is really crucial, I think if Logan Paul would have an exhibition with Anderson Silva maybe we can see a great fight regarding Silva's way of counter-attacks, and I am not really satisfied with the Logan VS Mayweather because for me that is just for show and Floyd Mayweather is not really serious on that fight, or maybe professional ones that can compete with Silva will be a great fight for him.

For me the fight between Logan and Mayweather is kinda boring, I know it's just for show but I'm hard to please, I like to see a KO just like the fight between Silva and Ortiz. Mayweather makes easy money in the fight, and he will not risk his health by going toe to toe to any fighter, he will use his skills to hit and run and to defend, that's why it's boring. Sorry, but it's just my honest opinion.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 16, 2021, 09:28:31 PM
The Puerto Rican might be a good prospect but he is facing somebody with much more experience and this will be a significant test for him. Sultan has not been consistent enough to become champion. He beat Casimero but then lost to Ancajas. Sultan has 5 losses but has never been knocked out. My prediction is that this will go the distance but the undefeated fighter will get the decision.
Surprisingly, he beat Casimero in 2017 and that was a good match because they both gave their best shot. With the record that Sultan have, its pretty bad for me and it will be hard to attract gamblers to place their bet on him since he is fighting a great boxer with a clean record so this will be an easy prediction for me, he might not get knock out but Caraballo will give him the taste of great boxing for sure.
That was a long time ago, imagine, it's more or less 4 years and during that time Casimero is still not under the MP promotion. Casimero really improved under MP promotion as he has great people that supports him and Manny is very supportive as well, if I'm not mistaken, Casimero has not loss a single fight yet under MP promotion.
Actually, both fighters had already improved and I hope they will not fight each other again and they just have to continue making their respective names popular in boxing sports. By the way, for those who do not know yet, Sultan is also now under MP promotion. (source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonas_Sultan)... so there's no chance that we will see a Casimero vs Sultan fight.

There's a lot of rumors that Irving is really a big problem with the Nets management. Early this year, he broke a safety protocol implemented by the NBA, and then Kyrie become estrange with his team mates and his coach. And it seems that Kyrie is not a communicator, or at least not opening up with the management and his team itself. I still remember Nash defending him, when being ask when is Kyrie going to play. And this childish act:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR8AlpFrM6Q

Stepping on the Boston Celtics logo, Lol.

I saw that particular game after they beat the Celtics, that's a big disrespect on the team that gives him a chance to play and lead the team. It's just that his attitude would never please a team and I think he doesn't like to play with other star players along as he wants the focus to be on him. Kyrie stepping on the Celtics logo is something, I read in the comments on the video clip you shared and it's hilarious because it's true.

Lol! Anger management. . Kyrie seems to have that issue that's why he cannot appreciate the opportunity that he has. Back when he was still a rookie, he challenge Kobe in their game and he was playing Kobe one on one, and he was really good although he lost in that battle. I never thought he would grow like an entitled man, thinking that he is the best player in the NBA and he deserves what he wants.

I get it, he already won a championship, but that was because Lebron joined back the Cavaliers back then and he can never win a championship without a player better than him in the same team.

Have you guys seen the rumors on social media about this Daniel De Guzman who is giving tips for PBA games?

Allegedly, the SMB-Ginebra game was rigged. The accuser even posted some text exchanges between him and De Guzman.

How was that rigged? what was the exact message? I didn't see anything in social media regarding that but I'm interested to know as rigged games in the PBA is a very interesting topic especially if you are betting on games.

Do you believe in this?
Yes, but it would be more believable if it's backed by some evidence, I want to see what are the information in the text messages.
2611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills on: September 16, 2021, 04:14:38 PM

It is so tough for newcomers on trading they actually face many thing even they make huge loss for investing brfore doing nothing .Trading is one of the best way of earning if you know it well .I actually wanna suggest the new trader always become patience don't get panic and try to learn always from the live market as well as from the past chart .Start with a low investment on primary period gradually enter on the market with the top ranked coin it helps you to avoid huge loss .Buy from the strong trend and take a minimum profit when you feel that you are ready for everything then make your own strategy and go through it .
I tend to disagree with you saying that "Trading is one of the best way to earn money" because the truth is that this will give you more losses if your strategy won't work and much more if you don't have knowledge about trading.
We can't underestimate trading nor consider this as the best way to earn money as many people had come but too unfortunate they leave at big losses. This will happen to anyone and you can't find assurance in trading unless if you could see yourself being an expert on this.
2612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you scared? on: September 16, 2021, 03:50:15 PM
~snip~

We talk about how emotions should be absent from trading and then we ask "are you scared". I am sorry but if you are following the advises here about the emotionless trading than you should be fine, because no ups or downs should take out any emotions out of us, and just because it drops doesn't mean that we should fear it.

Any logical trader would know that even if you end up losing during this period, you should end up not feeling anything and pick from here and start making profit again without worrying about what happened first. I personally do not feel any fear at all right now, I am feeling quite well about the current situation and that is how I listen to emotionless trading advises.
Indeed, right. However, not all have the guts and to keep calm themselves in the situation where they lose their money but instead, they start blaming the market for its volatility. Scared, getting worries it really comes to someone who is not totally prepared and those people who come doubtful and uncertain. We could say that we haven't this feeling it is because we were able to understand the situation and staying the market for how many years we've learned something about this. But for the newbies, that will be their biggest challenge.
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that NFT is the best investment in the future? on: September 16, 2021, 01:21:05 PM
Honestly, I'm not seeing these projects are worth that best investment. Some it looks promising this time but can't be sure if they will stay the same in the future. In fact, we could see these NFT projects, it can't deny that many were already been dead, and why? it is because most of these projects are not that worth it or they are just a scam thing. if we could figure out that only NFT games have been surviving while the others are have been abandoned for quite long.
2614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: September 15, 2021, 09:51:50 PM
This won't be a boring fight for sure, I can see this as a close fight where Crawford's defense will be tested.

It's like a Crawford vs Horn's fight, but a better version of Horn because Shawn Porter is a boxer and a brawler at the same time which is very durable.
I like to see the betting odds please, anyone already has an idea what's the betting odds of this fight?
2615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 15, 2021, 09:36:15 PM

The parlay wins but i didn't managed to bet as I was watching the game and thought that NP will continue their first half run,
but TNT start to convert during third quarter and established double digit leads.

Not for me this time  Grin bisdak40 though got 1/1 still good in result, tommorrow another sets of games.

For those who loves the underdog,

DYIP @ 3.90 against Bolts @ 1.22  1st game

Blackwater @ 6.40 against NLEX @ 1.08

Good luck !!

Yeah, not bad for me since I've got one out of two and it is not an easy win for Ginebra as that is a come-from-behind win, only Phoenix didn't sink those baskets in the dying minutes of the game.

Not good betting for the underdog this time as every win matters because 1/4 is coming therefore my bet:

Bolts -8.5 @1.97
MLEX -12.5 @1.86

Good luck on us all.

Blackwater seems to be a team that has no chance of winning but that -12.5 is quite scary to take for me. Well, anyway good luck to you mate, you are brave enough to back on NLEX with that high spread, I think if Blackwater would lose, it would not be that high as they are desperate to win.
2616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The path to mass adoption of crypto on: September 15, 2021, 08:28:11 PM
~
Well obviously Bitcoin. It's already going around the world actually. Maybe not that adoption that many people imagined, but surely it is the one that it is getting the attention more than the other coins out there in the market obviously.
People still prefer traditional method just because they feel safer in banks than in decentralized currencies.
I expect this since before as not all have that kind of appreciation towards that market.
The said adoption will it moves slowly and little by little people will understand how it helps to our lives. Education and full support from the government will help to fasten the adoption. Without such awareness and support, I can imagine that 10 years from now we've found no huge changes but to expect that many were still doubtful and had no knowledge about cryptocurrency.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling awareness for adolescents on: September 15, 2021, 07:55:54 PM
That is supposed to be going to happen, education about gambling is very important in order for us to be aware of what we've been doing.
However, this couldn't stop people from becoming addicted that is because it was their decision either. This is all about self-control, might that education have a good impact on the other people but might also it was just ignored from others.
2618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time for all ALTcoin on: September 14, 2021, 10:59:57 PM

The current market condition is still very good, still in a bullish condition, compared to 2017 the current bullish condition lasts quite a long time and is likely to have another bull run at the end of this year, as happened at the end of 2017.

Everyone is expecting an altcoin rally towards the end of the year. In fact, it is quite exciting that everyone has such an expectation. When we make a comparison with 2017, we see that this is possible.
As soon as a slight price rise starts a month or two later, everyone will think that the rally has started and there will be huge purchases. I think we will see very active days towards the end of the year Smiley

With what we have witnessed after reaching the peak, it was found to have huge changes which are too far different from what we have experienced last 2017. Most of us are thinking about the history repeats itself, we're thinking it followed with a huge market correction but somehow, we found it wrong and the market remains so healthy despite some drops. I'm not 100% sure about the incoming trend but I was positive that we end up this year in green color, not bearish.
2619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 14, 2021, 09:27:30 PM
Cool. That will be the best ever experience for LeBron James.
He is now at the 3rd rank of All-time scoring leaders (35,367) and above him is Karl Malone (36,928). At the top is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387).
Lebron just lacks 3,520 + 1 more point to achieve it. Do you guys think he can manage that amount? He stopped being an offensive guy (points) and most of the time he finishes in double-double or triple double. His stats are now stretched because he became the facilitator of the Lakers.

I guess Lebron will be able to break this record. However, it's worth noting that his contact with the Lakers will end after the 22/23 season. So he will need to score at least 22 points on an average per game during the next two seasons. It will be hard if he is injured again.

Lebron can do that, he can dictate what he likes to happen in the team because he is the captain of this team. At his age, he can make at least 20 ppg per game and still earn a decent contract once it expires, the injury of Lebron last season was not that serious as he was able to come back strong, the problem was Davis because he was already inconsistent last season and it added a big problem when he was injured in the first round of the series against the Suns.
2620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 14, 2021, 08:57:36 PM
Well, here Casimero has nothing to lose right. But Inoue has his belt at stake. So Casimero can do all the shit-talking he wants just to provoke Inoue. Also as Inoue is the champion, the pressure is more on him than on Casimero. I hope the pressure does not get the better of him because Casimero will play kind of tension-free and with him playing like there is nothing to lose, he will have the upper hand in the fight.
It's a way to market their match and he sold it first to Inoue since there's another potential opponent that he's about to box after his most recent fight. And as he talks like that, that's normal and strategy to get every fan on hype and will definitely watch the match for satisfaction whether he wins or lose. We just want to see the result of it not because of how he fights but how he talked and that's making everyone interested in it. I think we have to somehow settle his shit talking and credit these both fighters for how they really fight and what must be credited to them.
I have always wondered why fighters feel the necessity to promote their fight in this way, we are talking about the world champion and a very good challenger, they do not need to do anything else to motivate me to watch their fight, I will watch it because I love boxing so all of this trash talking is not really necessary, after all do I really think that people get motivated to see fights depending on how good of a trash talker you really are? And I do not believe this is the case.
Its a personal point of view but actually those trashtalks are indeed the way on selling out their fight and yes it isnt really that much necessary because the fight could still sell well depending on the fighters which are
about to box on.

Cant really be denied that there are athletes or fighters which do really known on being a trashtalker but somewhat really able to achieve those peak rankings like in MMA Conor which that shit
is really much more worst when it comes to trashtalks.

Casimero is just surprised as he is quite different from Filipino fighters, he is the only fighter I know that loves to trash talk his opponents, other fighters are so humble, they don't talk much as they respect their opponent. While Casimero though some hates him, but I understand he is just doing his job, this guy talks inside and outside the ring, if you know what I'm saying and that's good.
