2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PETITION] DEMAND That Nxt Release Source Code on: January 19, 2014, 08:46:34 PM
I don't know why you want to petition them... just don't support it, and let everyone know they haven't done what is expected of them

Well the more they refute the truth,  the more they look like a bunch of scammers.

The code that you claim is open source has been obfuscated in certain places.

This is a lie. Point to these places if u don't want to get reputation of a liar.

You folks have been lying through your teeth from day 1.   Release the source code!!!!

To promote the new NEX coin, we are interested in "INTERESTED" photos, images and videos!

Here's an example!

The kind of dishonesty we see here is distasteful.

Indeed it is, stop being dishonest dude. Being a fan is OK, but cut the crap.

Not to worry folks... the decompilation process is making great progress!

You lie all you want,  but the masses shall have their free and fair coin!

Please open it!

People say NXT is a scam, lets prove them wrong  Cool

They r already open. FrictionlessCoin just don't know how to compile the source. Smiley

The code that you claim is open source has been obfuscated in certain places.

That is why NEX really needs to become reality.

The kind of dishonesty we see here is distasteful.
2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 19, 2014, 04:33:44 PM
Today i have submitted an article about ixcoin here:

http://beforeitsnews.com

After registration, you can complete your profile and then, as a new user your article will have to pass their approval.
What do you think about a bounty for every article published on a online newspaper?

That's a good idea.  We don't have a lot of bounty, however,  let's go with 100 IXC for a legit online newspaper.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: January 19, 2014, 03:18:31 PM
Hi guys,

Lets make IXC a bit more popular by adding it to a new exchange site.

https://www.coinmarket.io/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422153.new

Frictionlesscoin, what do you think?
To me, it looks like a maxi gathering of scummy coins.

Is a one coin exchange?

We already have trouble with liquidity with 2 exchanges.  The only exchange we should be interested in is international exchanges.

Initial code for NEX has been checked in:

https://github.com/FrictionlessCoin/NEX

Still waiting for Nxt contributions of the source they promised.

Note: You all do know what I'm talking about.

So..this project won't take off the ground unless NXT release the source code?

I think I see a slight inkling of a flaw here.

I am calling their bluff that "Nxt is open source".

Oh, I entirely agree with you. If the source isn't public then no, it is not open source. But if NXT are keeping the source to themselves for financial reasons, I do not see what motivation they would have to release it. When I say flaw, what I mean to say is, NXT are not going to release to source unless it is in their best interests, so any protest would have to impact the value of NXT to be successful.

If the source code is closed,  then how can I trust that it does not have malware.  Maybe you didn't know,  most all the developers of Nxt are from Belarus.

Again I agree with you. There could be malicious code in NXT that steals NXT from its stakeholders, or it could be perfectly fine, but I do agree that not releasing the source is highly suspect, but in a sense you can also understand that if they are profiting from it, then they don't want others, such as NEX, taking a slice of their pie. Their motives are purely financially motivated.

NEX is their worse nightmare.  Release their source code and instantly you have a bigger community elsewhere.

Keep their source code,  then you are highly suspect and can't be trusted.

Keep their source code and they reveal that they have no barrier of entry.

Why buy Nxt, when you can get thousands of NEX for free?

This argument only applies if enough people get behind NEX to devalue NXT. You would need a massive amount of support before a single NEX is even handed out, and the altcoin community is fickle enough as it is.

I do agree with you, but it's a big task.

The key to Litecoin's success was a fair launch.

The key to NEX launch will also be a fair launch.
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEX :: descendant of NXT - Imagine Fairness! on: January 19, 2014, 01:41:34 PM
its a good strategy....!

Litecoin grew because it was a very fair launch.

NEX will grow because it will be perceived as a fair launch.

Furthermore,  we start with more mature software.   Nxt honestly is like alpha software that should never been released to the wild.
