wondering if I should open my boxes/packs. is the general consensus that its better to open them vs keeping them sealed?

I have reviewed several cases similar - being granted access to all involved parties dm's - even when some were deleted by one of the involved parties (if one side is deleted but the other side kept it, then they are still there) and what is the same each time is this:
1. person being scammed receives a dm with a link that appears to be a thread in the forums
2. user receiving the dm clicks the link - gets a page that "looks" like forums and requires them to re-log in
3. at this point user has just given their pw to the scammer
4. scammer agrees to use escrow
5. scammer sends message from hacked account to escrow to release funds
6. scammer gets paid
7. user gets nothing
8. escrow gets blamed
This is not the fault of the escrow. maybe it could be solved if the escrows require a signed message from the buyer before releasing funds - for the scammer to do that would require that they also compromised the buyers private keys.
The problem here is that many users sadly use exchange accounts or dont know how to sign a message.

just an fyi - and I am not saying you ae doing this but there are many many scammers who agree to escrow as long as shipping is paid up front and direct. Then they never ship the item. While buyer is safe on the purchase they have lost what was paid for shipping.

Yeah I mean there are obvious situations where we run raffles for free or for charity, etc. but I am talking about when you're trying to earn BTC the whole purpose for running a raffle is to generate more, right. I can post an auction and leave it be and come back and declare the winner, you can't do that witha raffle it takes more work and time, neither of which are free, so I have been told by a trusted and reputable source that the general rule for raffles is to set the price around double the value. It's all relative to how much you value your time really. That is why some raffles stall or fail I guess, in any case this one is going for CHEAP!  I agree  |

Yeah me too man and I would also like to point out that the general rule when you run a raffle is that you set the price at double the item value. In this raffle I have not doubled the items value, so it's basically half priced slots going by raffle standards. really? I have been chewed out via dm's by many people if I start an auction at over face value. The way I see it though is if each slot is less than the cost, it is still a deal for whoever wins! Not with auctions, but yes with raffles that is the general rule. yes I was talking about raffles as well |
