Where did I call you any names and who's doing the name calling LoLz it's the same drivel been repeated over and over again. There's nothing new of use to read in this thread anymore. At first it was loads of off-topic posts derailing this thread. Now it's just the same trolls spreading FUD and high-fiving each other. About how we've all been scammed and conned by a Nigerian prince FFS. KNC is a business to make a profit just like you bought your gear to profit. All I can do is highly recommend and suggest that you put all your new pre-orders in with BFL or HF.
Matt calm down mate, there is this wonderful feature of the forum called the ignore link, you are obviously happy with your purchase, neither you nor anyone else is going to convince anyone to buy or not-buy or refund or sell or whatever. There is no point going hammer and tongs against the doomsdayers, they obviously feel passionate enough about the topic to froth and rant which is, of course, their right. But seeing as you will never convince them and they will never convince you is there any point? Especially is there any point quoting them so that the people who do have them on ignore have to read the stuff despite doing so. Or not. Fight with all your might if you feel strongly enough about it. Might get ignored a bit yourself in the end. Or just thank them for all their help, tell them they were right, and thank goodness you saw the light and listed to their sage advice. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Me, I'm... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F31.media.tumblr.com%2Fb3ba5f058e936201f5739659ff675219%2Ftumblr_ms7g5a9nnH1sgw1uwo1_400.gif&t=663&c=Sf-Mwj5CdUR1iw)

Sorry about that Gator. Specially for customers like you we are finishing now 4 chip version with normal heat sink and fans. I hope it will be stable @ 130 range with nice 2-3w fans. The damn chip is sooo power hungry
Update in Monday
This is great ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I am sure many people will choose 4 chip version ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Are these A1's chips a different production run to the ones Bitmine are using? How did they manage to get 1GH/1W? What about the Bitfury 2, is the ETA for that still March? I'm probably just going to wait for another chip. If I cannot get these running quite I'll eBay them. If someone can give me the lowest GH/Watt they will run at it would be useful before I pick up a temporary PSU. But if not I'll find out tomorrow and report back! They use more chips at slower speed to save power. Yeah I thought they used 12 instead of 8, but someone corrected me on that, the 12 is for the Rig, the desk has 8, like the Hex8A1. The chip specs say 850mV for 1GH/W, which was supposed to be their Turbo mode, so I'm surprised these don't even fire up at 850mV. I did hear a rumor they made a second batch and the first went to DIY, but I was hoping it wasn't true. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) No I mean in total, don't they have 5 boards in the Desk? So for 1TH they are getting 200GH per board which is much lower than the 270 these ones get so maybe needs less volts.

Any ideas on how to reduce errors? Does tuning do the trick?
I've been getting some crazy machine-side speed reporting from an October Saturn. The KNC GUI is showing 398gh. SSHing into the machine is showing 398/355.
Poolside, however, I'm apparently only getting 227? Can this be accurate? I presume the problem is errors, but I don't know...
Just my 0.02: I noticed better hash rate matching between the pool and client with cgminer 3.9.0 on firmware 0.99.1-tune. As far as reducing errors, I've had good luck with not overclocking, or underclocking, some dies and overclocking others. Use the bash script that CYPER posted in this thread a while back in order to set per die clock settings. I still use Bertmod ZPM fix to analyze individual module/die performance. may i ask what the Bertmod ZPM fix is? I only know bertmod 0.4 so far. If I remember correctly its a hack someone called ZPM did to make 0.3 work with some later firmware.
