I don't understand why so many of you insist that I should use my original account.

If your accusations are true, you should not be afraid. But we see that you yourself are not sure about this. And this is a situation that can develop from nothing into a drama.
And then, if you consider the manager to be so wrong—if he breaks the rules—is it logical that you should participate in his company?
First, you must reach an agreement with yourself, and then you must blame the person who believes the forum.
2622  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: September 17, 2022, 09:47:56 AM
For me, working outside the home seems like a lot of trouble. It is necessary to wake up on time and allocate time to do makeup, then there are the road and traffic jams; and finally, communication with not always desirable people.
Working from home, I belong only to myself. There is an opportunity to get enough sleep and do all the important and necessary things that my family needs, and only after that can I devote time to my work. I see it as complete freedom. What I need to do when the day is lacking, I can borrow from the night. But the work will get done anyway, and it won't make me a robot doing the same movements every day.

A long-term goal that will last a lifetime? OP, how many years of life have you measured for yourself? How many years to wait?
And why do you judge what is right or wrong? Everyone has the right to think as he pleases. For some, bitcoin is money, someone is ready to invest in it, and someone is not ready to wait a lifetime.
I prefer a quiet investment, without fanaticism, and without denying my own work, from which I allocate some interest to invest in bitcoin.
Again, I am not rejecting the study of bitcoin, but I am not suggesting that it be celebrated as the center of the universe on which my entire life may depend.
Do you want to refute it?
2624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin changed my life on: September 16, 2022, 02:33:32 PM
What I don't understand from all these stories is, why would you quit your full-time job to invest in bitcoin?
You write that you quit your job. So what? Next, you invested in bitcoin with the money that you earned working as a courier. What's next? Have you calmed down and started waiting for growth? I don't know OP; for some reason, this story confuses me. It's just unwise to do it the way you describe it. In your story, you are lucky, but things could have been different. But even in a bad case, Bitcoin could also change your life. Grin

Besides, how did you live? Earning $300 a month, you invest $10,000. You describe it as money saved from working as a courier. Did you save for over three years and then invest everything? Storyteller?
2625  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I have been hated by the Bitcoin Forum leaders? on: September 16, 2022, 06:03:59 AM
I think you are confusing respect with basic courtesy and human decency. But beyond basic courtesy, it's not as if he or she must be respected by default.
Ultimately, I think the only way to truly earn someone else's respect is to put in the effort to develop yourself into a person worthy of it.
Despite that here is a place that we don't see each other image, if really we see each other live, you would have understand that respect doesn't be measured base on what you contribute to the society that lights, but base on who you are. Yes i can agree with you that we earn a respect due to your activities but it's not a necessary or necessities that if you have not done what that make you to deserve respect you not earn it, you are just seeing it with one sided understanding.

I will intervene in your conversation. Help me understand your post. Why should I respect a person who is clearly lying and shows disrespect for other people?
But I think what you mean is that we must respect any point of view and recognize other people's merits. But if we talk about the OP, then he showed his merits and showed his intention to deceive people by creating his posts.
Do you really respect him?

In addition, as it was too similar to your answer, you simply did not understand the situation. Sometimes it's good to give an opinion by reading the entire post history.
2626  Other / Meta / Re: What's minor thing that you find appreciative on Bitcointalk? on: September 16, 2022, 05:29:31 AM

I don't really know to what extent of a hysteria posters will be thrown into if all signature campaigns make it a criteria to qualify eligible posts. Those edited will be disqualified. I believe it will cause the type of panic introduction of the merit system caused.

Well, why not? If it is specified in the company signature rules that edited messages will not be accepted, then participants always have the opportunity to preview and verify. This is a kind of draft. I checked and pressed the submit button. What is the problem? In addition, there are cases of incorrect quoting. In this case, when sending a report to the moderators, the post will be deleted. But if people check everything that they write, there will be no such incidents either.
2627  Other / Meta / Re: Merit what, why on: September 16, 2022, 05:15:59 AM
Your nickname, OP, made me smile. You are from Pakistan, right? And your question about surviving on this forum suggests that you are most likely not a newbie, but have had the experience of being banned from the forum. It's obvious from the nickname.  Grin
I don't know of any other forums where newbies come with similar questions. Survival on the forum, as it sounds.
I think that you have already created 4 accounts and are finally interested in the rules of the forum.
I may be wrong, but time will tell, but for now, I will show everyone the same newcomer from the Pakistani local section who received a ban three times. Furthermore, I hope you understand everything correctly.

Hello community,

Hello community,

2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A website that shows important dates of Bitcoin as a calendar on: September 15, 2022, 02:08:12 PM
I suddenly imagined a time when our children would take exams about the most significant events and dates about bitcoin, as we did when we studied some important historical events.
Everything is gradually moving toward digitalization; one can hope that one day the study of bitcoin will become mandatory, and similar sites, which we are considering with interest today, will only improve and delight with their events.
2629  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I have been hated by the Bitcoin Forum leaders? on: September 15, 2022, 01:48:36 PM
Any reason you were hesitant to report? I know depending on my mood I can be a bit more or less forgiving at times, but people like that are in my view just asking to be reported.

Due to the fact that the post I linked to is identical to the one posted by the user msdbitco on Steemit (it seems that the post has now been deleted). Someone asked a question with a link to that post, but there was no answer until the thread was deleted.

Looking through a couple of archived posts now and I don't see any reason that I would not have reported all of them.

Regardless of the post I'm talking about, it seems that in other cases there was no doubt about plagiarism - although you should always be sure before such a report, because sometimes even though there is no link source, it's not plagiarism, but the user just copied his content from another platform.

Just looking for other peoples views. I really think I should be reporting more, but a lot of people seem to be more tolerant then I am so I don't wind up reporting some things, because I see a bunch of replies so I think some people think it's worth discussing.

-Dave

Perhaps it is about greater tolerance, but it seems to me that there is much more to it than that. Most members do not want to spend their time on something for which they are not motivated in some way, and reporting is still a voluntary contribution to the forum.

His plagiarism was very modest; it's hard to even call it plagiarism. He simply copied the news, consisting of one sentence, and created a topic. Very stupid of him. I saw in him an ordinary newcomer who, inspired, came to the forum, believing that everything is allowed here.
It was even a pity to create a report for moderators on the topic of plagiarism. Grin

2630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It Is Dangerous To Completely Rely On Cryptocurrencies on: September 15, 2022, 01:34:36 PM
Nicely said.
The reality is that it is dangerous to completely rely on any one source of income. Nothing is sure, it can fail at any time, even permanent jobs do fail. Once you have something doing,  try to diversify and have upto 3 sources of income, that is the best way to combat this rising economic crises in the world.

You shine again. Three sources of income—I envy you. Under the conditions of a severe crisis and the constant reduction of workers, it is quite difficult to have as many as three sides from which you could receive income.
Investing in bitcoin will not bring you profit here and now, and for this profit to be noticeable, you must invest a good amount. Otherwise, you will have to wait a long time. But without a third-party source of income, this is difficult to do. A permanent job is great, but you have three of them. Just curious to know, when do you sleep? Smiley
2631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cold storage and using USB to transfer files without malware or viruses? on: September 15, 2022, 01:16:38 PM

While there are many linux distro created/suitable for old computer, some of them probably not suitable for new user. Not all of them are actively developed, have decent amount of user base or good documentation/tutorial.

To be honest, if I were in the place of the OP, it would be more difficult for me to figure out how to create the wallet that the OP plans than to take two or three days to figure out how to set up Linux.
I have been using Linux systems for a long time and trying every system that interests me was very interesting for me at one time. You can install them on VirtualBox, try them, and then understand what is convenient for the user and what is not. Smiley
2632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The description of the Topic Starter (OP) Hidden on: September 15, 2022, 12:59:26 PM

On the first topic I read after the update I thought the topic starter had changed their username to include (op) - although then I clicked another thread and saw it was a thing to identify the topic starter...

I also thought about it. And I noticed this on a newbie account. For a second, I was embarrassed at how this happened, thinking how difficult it is to change the nickname for legendary accounts that would like to do this.
But now it has become convenient to keep track of the author of the topic, especially how often he appears in the topic he created.

I'm wondering if this one is another alt or just someone posting instead of reading:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3502150

I don't think this is an alternative DigitalMonk account.
But this person has a significant inattention to the rules of the forum, and the text selection is quite annoying.
And in addition, I found two of his plagiarisms, which he simply copied without adding a source, and did not contribute a single thought of his own to his copies.
I really hope that the moderators will draw the right conclusions.

We and They (Bangladesh and Pakistan)
By Zubeida Mustafa

I wouldn't like to burden readers with seemingly dull data. But it is too important to be shoved under the rug: the population growth rate for Pakistan is two percent, for Bangladesh it is 1pc; TFR (children per woman) is 3.5 in Pakistan and 2 in Bangladesh; the contraceptive prevalence rate (which includes unreliable conventional methods) is 34pc in Pakistan and 65pc in Bangladesh.
In 1971, Bangladesh had a bigger population (65.5m) than the western wing, with a count of 59.7m. In 2020, the picture had reversed with Bangladesh standing at 164.6m and Pakistanis numbering 220.8m.
More data has a direct bearing on the economy: GDP for Pakistan in 2020 was $263.6 billion and $324.2bn for Bangladesh. Bangladesh has achieved this miracle by investing in its human resources, especially women, who are potential agents of change in family matters. The difference between Pakistan and Bangladesh in gender parity in the social sectors is staggering. Likewise, their female literacy rates are 46pc and 72pc respectively. The female labor participation rates are 20.1pc and 38.5pc respectively.

Research says until we haven't a plan to control our big matter of every problem is increasing population, if there is no reaction, the least chance for development of country.

2635  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][3.5 year passed] on: September 14, 2022, 10:03:10 AM
Man, three and a half years is a very impressive time. I, too, once made a mistake, but the forum was merciful to me. I don't know your future. However, I see those new people who create new accounts week after week. And yet the forum allows them to do this since they are still alive.
I am not calling for breaking the rules, but I have a sincere doubt that people who are passionate about being on the forum will wait three and a half years. During this time, you can become another legend.
2636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 13, 2022, 08:16:11 AM
I, too, was greedy enough and did not dare to exchange bitcoins for fiat during its great growth. Since that time, I have lost a considerable amount, as there was a moment when I simply needed cash. This is a bad and unpleasant experience, but I will not deny that the period of growth was also beneficial to me. Therefore, we should always be aware of our limits when our greed leads us there and not be so sure of the future.
2637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It Is Dangerous To Completely Rely On Cryptocurrencies on: September 13, 2022, 06:47:39 AM
It is naive to believe that by investing a small amount in bitcoin, a person will become rich after a while. Putting a hundred or two hundred dollars is unlikely to bring confidence in the future, as newcomers hope. And if someone is going to invest more serious amounts, I think and hope that these people should already have experience in owning capital, and he will never allow without proper preparation, it is so stupid to invest your money.
In addition, you need to consider how long you want to make a profit. And also we all walk under the same sky, so you need to understand the risks that some unforeseen circumstances may happen, and you should not stupidly hope only for a positive result, that is, be prepared for anything.
2638  Economy / Economics / Re: Rebuttal: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset on: September 12, 2022, 05:39:32 PM
So, What can a poor parent teach them children bout Money ?

I don't understand the irony. For example, I will tell you a story from my country. A poor family with several minor children is engaged in the sale of products that are given to them to sell by more affluent people. So their children are completely deprived of an education. They forbade them to go to school, explaining that helping the family at the moment is more useful than expanding the horizons of children. Children are deprived of the Internet and all the other things that ordinary children have. They are far behind in development.
If parents wanted a different life for their children, they would probably give them a chance.
But the future for children will be exactly the same. They will sell other people's vegetables and receive a very small percentage in return.
There is not a single chance to get out of poverty for such people. And if we compare people who understand the value of education, they will first invest all the money in the development of their child, thereby building his future.
2639  Economy / Economics / Re: Rebuttal: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset on: September 12, 2022, 03:16:15 PM
Not all rich people are born rich. Someone was able to make himself. But many poor people are born that way. And if they are lazy, they will resign themselves to their status for the rest of their lives, complaining that they were not born under a lucky star. If the parents of poor children do not motivate them to acquire knowledge, then poverty will continue from generation to generation.
Be that as it may, it all depends on the person and on his desire to escape from poverty. I'm not talking about wealth, but everyone can improve their life status.
In the same way, it can be said that some rich people, without proper handling of their money, can suddenly become bankrupt, that is, poor.
Therefore, following the saying, "If you are born poor, it's not your mistake, but if you die poor, it's your mistake," you should not complain about poverty, but you should act in order not to be it.

The OP writes that he has an old laptop. This is probably the reason why he preferred to choose such an outdated system as Windows XP.
I remember my first computers, where the RAM was only 512 MB, and I had to disable all unnecessary processes in Windows XP to somehow stir it up.
But OP, choosing one of the Linux systems might help you with speed.
Now, several systems have been created for older computers that allow users to work without loss of performance.
