2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hidden team members or not make any difference? on: November 12, 2020, 08:51:11 PM
By hidden I guess you mean anonymous team? Well, it does make a huge difference. People would hesitate a lot when trying to invest in projects when they know nothing about team behind it. At least when knowing who are working on the project, they will be able to decide if they are going to scam or not. Its like if libra (dead) was being developed anonymously, people would highly likely call them a scam. But, knowing that facebook is developing it, people will want to invest in it (not even sure if libra is still alive).
That being said, those project with team members known publicly doesn't mean that they won't scam.
2622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: November 12, 2020, 08:20:43 PM
Trying to look for some casinos with free spin bonuses to atleast possibly cover up some loss from gambling recently...
I recently tried playing the free spins on their website won some good amount from those free spins, I tried searching for the review on this casino, base from those that I've read, initially, they seems good to me.
But I'm here to make sure my guts, is there any one here in btt plays there? Who guys here know anything about the casino? Can we really trust it?
Never heard of this casino. I have heard fake/shitty/scammy casino allows people to win "good amount" of coins so gain their trust and looks like its working on you. Based on your recently reply, it looks like you can't even withdraw the free coins that you got without making any deposit, which is a huge red flag. They maybe trying to lure you into depositing coins. Even if they are legit, those free coins will highly likely have rollover requirements that will be almost impossible to achieve.
Also, even if you do manage to do the rollover, they are going to give you a hard time trying to withdraw.
2623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happened to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: November 12, 2020, 05:43:57 PM
I always think if a big country like America or China makes their own digital currency and has the same system as Bitcoin (develops its own blockchain system), then the digital currency of that country is recognized as a legal digital currency and is used for digital transactions by all countries, then I thought what would happen to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, would Bitcoin and cryptocurrency survive? or even Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will become legal too?
Same system as Bitcoin? You mean decentralized? Lol, that is not going to happen. The best they can do is make a centralized currency where they have full control of the chain. Which means they can manipulate anything on the chain without any issue.
So if they make something like that, people will still be using bitcoin and other decentralized crypto currencies because they know the advantage of currencies like this over currencies like those that will be made my the government. So, nothing will happen to bitcoin. In fact we might see the price skyrocketing!
2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports icons and Covid19 complications on: November 12, 2020, 07:08:32 AM
Most of the athletes and sportsman who had suffered have come out of it. Among the players who had tested positive for covid-19 were suggested to go on rest, because the virus could cause heart complications leading to cardiac arrest. Same as the spreading the recovery rate too is found high on most of the countries.
We still know nothing about the long term affect. It has been seen on some cases that people who have recovered from corona virus, are still suffering from various complications. Some have reported that their lungs are no longer as healthy as it used to be. Some reported that they get exhausted or tired real quick months after recovery. Again, we already heard that people are getting infected once again after recovery. Though all of these seems to be a rare case (or maybe not rare), we still need to study about the affects.
2625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 11, 2020, 05:43:34 PM
Not sure why are you talking about stock investment in a bitcoin and crypto currency forum. Are you trying to imply that stock trading and crypto currency trading are both the same? It might be a somewhat related, but it is totally different. And most of the reason/events that affect the price of stock doesn't seem to be the same for bitcoin.
But it does look like you have stated most of the methods for trading crypto currencies by keeping risks at minimum. Sadly, most people ignore these simple rules. They start joining the market with the hope of making profit real quick. They make few trades without knowing anything and as usual suffers from loss. Now instead of learning from his mistakes, he either quits or keep on repeating the same mistakes until he loses everything and starts hating crypto currencies.
2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin pump and dump on: November 11, 2020, 04:07:39 PM
Hey guys,
I've checked some intersting altcoins which are pretty cheap now, the projects look promising and legit but I'm still afraid that they could be another pump and dumps (there were so many of them already!). What are the signs or metrics that send alert signals about the projects and I should check deeper or not risk my money? Or is it just impossible to tell if it's another pump and dump scam project.
Not going to lie, it is going to hard to say if a project that is doing "good" is going to scam or not. I mean, there are projects that blatantly scream scam. You can see those altcoins price rising like 300x, even 1000x in few days. Those coins get pumped, dumb people fall for those pump, invests good amount of money in those shit coins, and then the developers instantly dump those coins. Only few (like 2/3 people and all the developers) make the profit while others (especially those who joined in late) loses almost everything.
I would say don't waste your time and money investing in those unknown new altcoins. Go for the well established and coins with active community. Lesser risk and more rewarding in the long run.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dollar vs bitcoin on: November 11, 2020, 07:51:25 AM
Not really. If dollar does go strong, we might see the opposite. The price of bitcoin might  start increasing even more. But, do remember, the price of bitcoin is not pegged to that of USD or any other fiat currency. So it doesn't matter if the value of fiat goes stronger or weaker, bitcoin will have its own value determined by the market's demand and supply.
can donate btc to federal reserve to make them not make dollar strong again and keep printing

You don't have to donate btc to "federal reserve?" to make them print fiat currency. They do it on regular basis.
those bankers like money i think if crypto users will donate to them it will keep btc price good

They love money, but they hate decentalized crypto currencies.
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2020, 07:10:56 AM
Mine is different i get messages from strangers through social media, and mostly asking me to invest in their obvious pyramid scheme platform.
Perhaps, these are people who invested in that site and referring their affiliate links through social media.
Nah, they are not real people. They are just bots randomly sending messages/emails to people and join their scam scheme. Once someone replies, the bot notifies the scammers and then they try to lure you to the scheme. Sadly there are people who fall for those scams. I have seen they have been targeting the elder people more with their provocative profile pictures.

No because bitcoin is not yet establish and known here in our place. Only few scammers are also using bitcoin to scam here in our place. Mostly the currency that we are using in exchange are the fiat currencies.
Maybe you should start calling your friends and tell them about bitcoin. You know, if they learn how secure bitcoin is and how it works, it might also help them to spot obvious scams.

And will Bitcoin (satoshi dream or goal ) be fully accepted in the world as a means of payment?.
The work hasn't been done and will never be. Right now, bitcoin is in its very early stage. There are a lot of space to improve over here and people all together are still contributing. As for the "never will be" part, it is true. It will keep on improving as long as the environment, technologic, people, economics and so on keeps on changing. Do you think "technology" has a final form/stage?

Bitcoin? Maybe not. Some centralized cryptocurrency, maybe.
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 10, 2020, 06:02:14 PM
Nothing is weird over here. When those casino workers were joining the casino, they had to sign a legal contract with them. The contract had all the terms and clauses which the workers read (I assume) and signed. So they agreed to all these as soon as they joined.
If that is not the case, and they are "forced" an unpaid leave, then they can take legal actions against the casino. If the casino did anything wrong, they will have to pay their workers their regular wage along with some compensation.
2631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on gambling casinos on: November 10, 2020, 07:38:28 AM
Some of the Gambling casinos I've seen are requiring its user to conduct a KYC (not mandatory but they said there's a chance or something) however my concern is that the gambling casino is not licensed are you going to trust this or not? Imagine winning a big jackpot and they asked for you to conduct KYC but they are not licensed.
Depends on their reputation. If the casino is not regulated and has no registered license (then again, how are they operating legally?), they don't have to do any KYC for legal reasons but for their own safety such as avoiding self referral abuse, multi account abuse and so on. If you win a big jackpot and then they ask for KYC, its totally up to you. If you have been playing there for long and know them well, then I guess you are safe. If its a new random casino, then its better not to submit any KYC or ID documents.
Though, why would you be playing in a unlicensed casino? Huge risk.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 09, 2020, 06:13:20 AM
I guess a lot of people does that. Ponzi schemes are so obvious that they are going to scam, yet people still invest in those schemes. This primarily because they wish to test out their luck. They know that the ponzi schemes first try to earn peoples trust by paying them (with high rewards) before scamming everyone. Those ponzi investors know that if they get in first and exit early, they might be able to make some profit. So they gamble their way into making profit from ponzi schemes. But little do they know that all they are doing is just encouraging the scammers to scam more poeple!
2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 09, 2020, 06:06:13 AM
I believe that most of us are losing money in sports betting, but I'd like to know based on what you read and your experience (if you have) the reasons why we are losing. Personally, I've been gambling for years, I'm just an ordinary gambler who can't be too serious with gambling, but I can't deny that I have been losing money more than I win.

Share some tips to win or to minimize losing?
______

This thread is open for the winners and losers.
Those "most" people probably just randomly places bets without even knowing anything about the teams or the game. Or they just place bets on their favorite team even if they are about to play against a stronger team.
I guess proper analysis of the teams that will play and previous results might help forecast a winner. But, yeah. It is "gambling". So you never know if you are going to win or lose. At least proper analysis might give you a upper hand when placing bets.
2634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American election is nothing to do with BTC on: November 09, 2020, 05:45:10 AM
The election is going to have some impact on the price of bitcoin. With the economy recovering under Biden administration, we will be seeing the price of US dollar rising. It has never been this low compared to past few years before trump administration! Also, Trump delayed the stimulus package and was supposed to be distributed after the election. With Biden presidency, we are expecting to receive it anytime soon (trump has yet to concede though). The stimulus might encourage people to invest more in bitcoin.
Also we are expecting the stocks to start rallying and bitcoin might also start doing the same.
2635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: November 07, 2020, 03:35:50 PM
now lets imagine world without fiat currency.
lets say we use bitcoins.
so milk price how many btc?  fuel price? rent ? and how the prices will calculated?
Lets say that you will buy a gallon of milk from walmart. You pay around $3. How was the price calculated? I mean why are you paying $3 for the milk? You may say the government controls the price based on money circulation and whatever. Well in that case the price will also be set in terms of bitcoin by the government (you said world without fiat currency not without a centralized government).
and if there is only limited supply of bitcoins.....then those who who have bitcoins merely will rule over others?
There are billionaires in the world. Are they ruling you?

so your skills or value in society dont count only matters who go has the most of the bitcoins?
Not sure what you mean by this. Your skills and values will matter since this is how you will be earning your coins (just the same way you used to earn in the world with fiat currency).

bitcoin halving by the time so less and less btc will be in circleation....so how the world will remain sustaineble then ?
Supply is limited. People are intelligent enough to come up with a solution (maybe more smaller fraction of coins).
2636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance tempararly blocked my withdrawal because i changed pc on: November 07, 2020, 01:51:10 PM
Hello, i was trading in binance from last 3 years but 8 days before i changed pc and Binance.com tempararly disabled my account and they telling reason is "risk control". and they asked me to send videos deposit and withdrawal, login details of all devices and i already sent, i have more than 30000 usd in that exchange but binance not showing any interest to resolve the issue and i am chatting with them everyday but no solution yet now i am afraid about this exchange so please help on this, thanks.
This is the first time I am hearing something like this. I have my work laptop, my personal laptop and a desktop computer from where I access my accounts on different websites but never got into trouble. Did you change your ISP or something? Probably your account got flagged for security reasons. But the weird thing is, why are they asking for "videos" and login details? Are you sure you are accessing the real binance? If you are, then just follow their instruction and they will unlock your account in no time.
Thanks for your inquiry.

As per checked, we found that the withdraw function was suspended due to the withdrawal risk control.

Please provide us with the following information for the account verification and we are going to help you through the ticket.
1. Device information (at minimum operating system version, brand, model, and browser name/version) regarding at least one device that is commonly used on the account.)

2. Please record a video, including the following information:
- Withdrawal records:Please login to your account and show the withdrawal records in your account.
- Communication records:Please show in the video the emails between you and Binance CS via this email.
- You also need to appear in the video and hold the information page of your ID document, and repeat clearly the following sentence : "Today is the year/month/day, my account is applying for withdrawal of XXX coins with XXX amount. I confirm that it is my own operation. I am contacting Binance CS to resume the withdrawal function of my Binance account ****** "

3. Please take a video of any deposit record of this account within 6 months. The video should contain the whole login process from the sender platform/wallet, and information for this transaction such as the full TxID, date and amount.

*Please do not use any screen recorder to take the video. The video size should not exceed 20 Mb if you wish to submit it as an attachment in the ticket, or you can upload your video to your private confidential drive if it is relatively large and provide us with the available link to verify.

In addition, if you are able to provide the following information at the same time, it will help to confirm your identity and help speed up the review process.
Security questions:
1. Account registration date
2. Account registration IP

Makes sense. They want you to verify your Identity. You need to do a live video verification so that they can confirm that you are the same person as in the identity documents you have sent before for verification. They ask for such kind of verification because there are people who uses stolen (or bought from the black market) IDs to create accounts and commit crime.
Like I said, just follow the instruction and they will resume your withdrawal. Try to give them as much information as you can. There is nothing to worry about as long as you are the real owner of the account.

Edit: I believe this has nothing to do with changing your PC. They probably wants to verify the source of your funds. You highly likely triggered their AML check.
2638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 07, 2020, 06:54:17 AM
Can someone balance me real quick, how do people get losses even though we know that Bitcoin is destined for growth?
is it because people are looking to buy and sell quickly which may result in a loss if market falls?
Because in my view i feel like buying and holding on to your bitcoin until its value has increased(which is an assured) will always set you for profits.

please correct me if im wrong...
Bitcoin price is destined for growth "in the long run". There are people who buys at higher price, and when they see the price dropping, they become anxious and ends up selling everything they had, thus making a substantial loss. If only people knew that when the price drops, the number of coins they are holding is still the same and he/she hasn't incurred any loss. You only make a loss when you SELL it as lower price. And then there are altcoin traders. They invest in those shitcoins by trading bitcoin. Those shitcoins price gets dumped. The coin dies and the person loses his bitcoin.

2640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i Invest more??? on: November 06, 2020, 08:46:12 PM
Investing 50 ETH and making a quick 20 ETH within a year, sounds like you got really lucky. I am being honest over here. Never heard of any of those tokens you have mentioned. They maybe good projects, but don't you think you should stop investing and exit with your profit? Don't you think the price already went up "quick" enough and reached its threshold?  Maybe you should start investing those in more well known coins/tokens.
But, yeah, its your decision. You know the best.
