2621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency trading have helped the youth. on: September 14, 2021, 04:43:47 PM
...
It's great when you are such an educated and enterprising young man from an early age, but I want to say that young people were also affected on the bad side, they dive into cryptocurrency just like unsuccessful teenagers used to dive into slot machines, not all of course, but there are b, so if a young a man with a head, he will correctly invest in cryptocurrency.
If many more young people learn about trading, they will open the chance to become wealthy in the future and maybe they will retire at a young age while their friends still struggle to survive. Crypto gives a chance for them to make money and many of them already prove it. But that is only for young people who want to change their lives and work hard for some time to have skills and knowledge to make money. If they do not use their time to fill in what they want to make money, they will not achieve their goals.
I could say that some were got into crypto and investing while many where still keep ignoring this. I may say that this was a great opportunity for them but couldn't think how they will interact with the market knowing its risk due to its volatility. Those jobless people will think of this as a solution to their problem but I'm not sure if they could make a push especially when you know how emotional you are.
I couldn't say this will have a huge impact to their life during this time but somehow this would give some help for those who give some interest.
2622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: September 13, 2021, 11:15:53 PM
I don't think bitcoin is "till infinity". No technology can last till infinity. Don't you think people had the same thought with metals or paper currencies were used? They probably thought or think that paper money is going to be here forever. But no. It won't last forever. Metals got replaced. Fiat paper money will highly likely get replaced too. In the similar way, bitcoin or crypto currencies my no longer exist as technology gets better and superior. Something might get invented that might totally replace crypto currencies.

Nothing lasts forever, as the popular saying goes. The fast pace in technological advancement may be the reason in the future why bitcoin will become obsolete. Though it is not yet seen at the moment, but that situation is about to happen as the technology evolves very fast. We don't know if someone can create something more advanced in the future. So we need to prepare for such things to happen.
20 years, 50 years from now, it is possible to have another market surprise, another technology created which might be the reason for Bitcoin becoming obsolete. We can just set this aside and having the use of digital currency is an example of this. Might fiat money have no excuse with this and we have to be prepared that someday this fiat money, Bitcoin/cryptocurrency will end.
2623  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far can bitcoin price correction go? on: September 13, 2021, 04:34:25 PM
~
we saw a decline in Bitcoin from two weeks ago to 12% and this decline could result in a price drop of up to $42k. However, this decline will only occur if the support is broken and if the resistance fails, the price will be bullish again. I myself feel the current price decline is only a temporary correction to continue its rise to $55k. Therefore, the decision to buy and sell is in the hands of there.
I thought the market would wake up today but it is still going down, we have a 13.8 % correction and we have a one day correction of around 3% and there is no signs of turnaround and i am curious to see what the support would be and will it ever go down below $42k. I think we will see a correction beyond that and we might not even see a rally this month. Only time will tell but i am expecting the market to close at an high at the end of this year.
That it tells that the market is very unpredictable and very often we're got wrong. That I was thought about the continued recovery after a few corrections in the past few days but it goes like in a zigzag trend. Anyway, I just hold and never lose my hands nor do I think it will dump more but instead, I'm still optimistic for its recovery, that probably after those people have done selling with their Bitcoins.
Perhaps, I'll take this opportunity to buy some.
2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 13, 2021, 09:13:21 AM
Yes he is indeed a monster, after Casimero there's no more worthy opposition on his current weight category he should move up again he is currently a three-weight champion great achievement for a young boxer, there's a possibility that he can challenge Pacquiao's record he was 8 division world champion, he can do it because he started in the lightest category like Manny Pacquiao, Inoue's career has a lot of possibilities.

If Naoya Inoue will win against Casimero there's still a business that needed to be finished on their division, not because of career but as a form of respect. He needs to make a rematch with Donaire because of the struggle he experienced defeating the veteran boxer.

But honestly, either Inoue or Casimero will lose here, a rematch is expected to happen unless one of them got overpowered different from the case of Donaire vs Inoue where the fight is close that's why a rematch is somehow necessary.

Inoue will not be concerned about Donaire so he will give him a rematch, he beat him once, and now that he has a belt, maybe they could unify that belt and Inoue will be the undisputed champion. The good thing here is Inoue and Casimero are willing to fight Inoue, this is easy for Inoue to prove that he is the best, but of course, right after the Casimero fight.

Donaire would only fight Inoue, and he is waiting for him, he will not anymore go up as he is not getting any younger, and just like Inoue, that's his purpose too to avenge his loses and take the belt of Inoue, so give him another chance in this rematch, besides, this will be another big fight that both will benefit in terms of revenue they'll make.
2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 13, 2021, 08:38:29 AM
There are still 4-5 games remaining for Ginebra to secure a spot in the next round after eliminations. I doubt they will end up not winning at those 5. Alaska seems not that ready and competitive enough to enter the quarterfinals.

The same goes for BlackWater that I also think will not have any winning record.

No worries for Ginebra fans out there. Low chance for them to be eliminated based on the current standings.

I agree with that, but since they are the champion last bubble, we are expecting them to play better this conference, but it's not what we are seeing, so as a fan, I am a bit worried that they might not be able to defend their title and they will be eliminated in the quarter-finals or the semis.

We can't also say that they will not reach the PBA Finals because elimination games and best of 5 or 7 series are quite different compared to regular games. Coach Tim Cone is good on adjustments and he could still make this team the never say die team win against any team they will face.

The top performers now when the conference resume are the TNT, North Port and SMB, so let's see if they'll do the same during the playoffs.
2626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some trading mistakes beginners make on: September 12, 2021, 11:34:49 PM
We can't avoid these things and I don't think we have to be afraid about this coz for me this could help us of getting better by correcting those mistakes we commit. I'd found this as a part of the learning process and I don't think that someone had ever experience but probably we all did the same.
-emotions
-analysis
-knowledge

all of these things have a huge impact on why we usually got these mistakes. I think this is what we have to focus on and need to improve.
2627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why Ethereum keep rising while Bitcoin on a stable mode on: September 11, 2021, 09:09:25 AM
Many altcoins are also doing great lately even when the market is down their keep rising such as Hex token which is still on a bull run for the past two months this shows that the altcoin market, ethereum is at a more stable price trend this week.
Only HEX tokens are in a good trend, while other Altcoin markets like Ethereum are not in a good trend even though the price still looks very decent, but if Bitcoin crashes again like a few days ago, then Ethereum will follow suit.
Both HEX and DEX coins are still following Bitcoin's trend. Whatever happens to Bitcoin, it is obviously has a huge impact on the entire market.
I have to disagree with what OP had said as it was not the market it looks like. He probably misses the trend where Bitcoin does the rally first while ETH is still on the wait.
Well, Bitcoin is recently declining, Let see how ETH behaves in the coming days. Maybe I was wrong but for sure ETH price will just fall as well.

~snip
The government will not be quiet about what happens to the crypto. If they think that they can take taxes from people who owned crypt, they will do that and make new regulations for crypto users to start collecting the taxes. I am a bit worried about that as the government can use all the ways they can to ask the local exchanges about the report of their user so the government will know who people have the crypto. We know that the government can force the local exchange to send the report to them.
But didn't the US tried to do that too? And didn't they failed to make it into a real thing? I am sure that Philippine government isn't a better one when it comes to governance compared to the US govt. Trust me, I know how incompetent they are.
I hope they won't come up with aggressive tax law on crypto as we will suffer from that, taxing what we owned is not fair because most of us buy the crypto we own, and where' the income on that part? Just like an example in a scenario where you buy bitcoin at $50k, and you hold it until the price dump and reach $20k, the question is, are you still gonna pay for the taxes now that you lose a significant amount already in terms of value in fiat?
With how our economy struggle, it's more realistic if we will expect that the government will come up with an aggressive law to increase their revenue, and since the crypto industry is growing in the Phillippines, I'm sure they are already studying it now and we might just be surprised that one day law is already created that most of us will disagree.

Whatever the law, just don't mess up with the government as they'll really go after you to make you pay your due which is the "TAX".
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 04, 2021, 06:15:26 AM
I tried to send XRP to one of the gambling sites I'm using, but I was prompted with this message.

Therefore I'm suggesting everyone especially from the Filipino community who are constantly transacting from coins.ph to a gambling site/s or vice versa. The BSP is already monitoring us, and if we submit the information and put a gambling site as a recipient, we might be sanction as gambling is illegal in our country and it's part of the TOS of the coins.ph that sending coins to a gambling platform is prohibited.

you may refer to the complete terms of services of coins.ph.

2631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Which game should I focus? on: September 03, 2021, 09:16:27 AM
I have been gambling for a while and I don't still get the consistency that I love.

I have different games already, both skilled-based and luck-based types of games, I was told that I should focus on skilled-based games as there's a chance to be successful to develop my skills as a gambler.

So I like to ask, have you ever thought of making money in gambling consistently? If so, what type of gambling did you focus on?
2632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC become the world central currency? on: August 14, 2021, 07:47:29 PM
Short answer: No;
Long answer: Possibly.

The reason is that, in order for BTC to be considered as the world central currency, it is essential and vital that all countries must accept it to be the main legal tender in transactions. In addition, almost all countries must be technological adapted when they implement BTC as the world currency since it requires the connection of the internet in order to have a stable transaction.

However, imagine that the world central currency has a cap of 21 million. This would result to an inflation of its price where people would purchase it at a high price in order to transact.
It might be possible in the future but for now, the chance is very slim. Bitcoin has been getting a lot of restrictions even if there's a lot of countries now who wants to get involve in bitcoin. But the fact that the government personally is not supporting it, then it would be hard for bitcoin to become a world central currency.

And being a currency with high volatility, i don't think it will  serve as a world currency if the value is not fixed. Because as far as i know, its volatility will always be there and might only be reduced if the government start controlling it.
2633  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: August 14, 2021, 07:23:15 PM
I couldn't put the full title in the subject line due to character restrictions, but here is the full question:
If bitcoin was fully adopted into everyday life, why would it ever be used for day-to-day transactions if the general consensus was that the price would always appreciate?
A lot of people expect the price of bitcoin to go up because it is driven by demand and supply. And since it is still a new thing, there are lots of people who are yet to join the community, and with time we will get to see a lot of them join the community and invest their money. So since the market is driven by demand and supply, you’re going to see an increase at anytime. That’s why if you check the market chart, the market has been growing from year to year.

But then, everyone has a purpose as to why they are making use of bitcoin, there are people who are using it as a payment method and there are those who prefers it as an investment, just do what works for you.
Even for those who chose to hodl bitcoin for a long term, eventually they will sell it in its perfect time and spend bitcoin for its purposes. I think even with the present time, bitcoin is already used as a currency  because some use if for buying or any payment method.

However, bitcoin does not destined forever as a tool for investment because once the government approve its widespread adoption, it should also be used as a currency  and maybe by that time, its price volatility will somehow be lessen. And of course, bitcoin can only serve its purpose if it will be utilized as a full currency rather than using it purely as an asset or investment.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum where to go?? on: August 14, 2021, 06:52:13 PM
Some time ago, ETH had dropped to $18.5, but with the arrival of the London hard fork, Ethereum has grown higher, for now the price of ETH has reached $3.2 of course this is a very positive breakthrough, and ETH has a great opportunity  to create its new ATH later this year, So I think this is an opportunity to add more etherem in the portfolio
Even before this London hard fork, i have seen that ethereum started to rose again its price. Now that the hard fork has already happened, it even made ethereum to bounce up more reaching its current price at $3,261.

It would be a good chance for all of us if we had bought ethereum when its still cheap but seeing this coin is very promosing this time, then there is no doubt that we can still make good profits even if we start buying it now.
2635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins Have Good Opportunities in the Next Year on: August 13, 2021, 02:56:44 PM
In the next year which altcoins are able to provide the best value in the market, given that so many altcoins have emerged that cannot be the best source to invest in, market conditions do not provide the best place for them at the moment.

Three months ago we were shocked by what happened to Dogecoin, suddenly the selling price rose so rapidly from the previous purchase price, this shows that there are events that people cannot predict regarding the condition of the altcoin itself, even though there was an increase in the price of Dogecoin at that time. , there is speculation from Elon Musk.

At least that's a solid reason why Dogecoin is rising so fast at a fairly high price, even though the main evidence hasn't been met for the actual occurrence.
Nowadays people are again hoping that other altcoins can follow in his footsteps, but there is no guarantee if we look at the current market conditions.

Which altcoin has the greatest chance of emulating Dogecoin's current state, is there any chance that other altcoins could take advantage of this in the future?
I think we cannot predict what altcoin will be the very best of all altcoins next year. There are so many new altcoin to pick but I always refer on old like ethereum and bnb. Because I feel risky if i invest in new altcoins although some new altcoins are now has a great potential but I still choose a proven and tested coin. But we can still select new altcoin depending on our own research there are also new altcoins that also profitable.
Setting dogecoin as an example is also your own choice so there's no need to argue about it. But for me, there's no need to find another coin rather than ethereum. Its always the topmost altcoin when it comes to altcoins investments. The fact that its very bullish at the present will create more chances that its value will even grow more in the following years. As long as the demand will never decline and continue to flourish, then that certain coin will definitely become more profitable.
2636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many great things are banned, censored or restricted in China. If China wants to on: August 13, 2021, 02:32:51 PM
Google, Facebook, Instagram... most of them are companies from the USA or from USA allies. Perhaps the political antagonism between China and the West has caused these bans. China is an authoritarian country they want to control everything. Bitcoin's decentralization is perhaps their most feared enemy because of its inability to control and destroy bitcoin. Their ban on bitcoin cannot affect the development of bitcoin, but certainly won't let bitcoin destroy their centralized control that has been established for hundreds of years.
China is considered a very progressive country because even in bitcoin mining alone, their profits is definitely huge compared to other countries who also do mining. But since bitcoin is fully decentralized, their being authoritative is not recognized so they resorted into bitcoin banning.

At first, the decision of China created a negative impact into the crypto market but later on, bitcoin started  to recover again. And if this bitcoin mining is not allowed in China, then maybe those nearby countries will benefit from it. China is just only good for promotion but the moment they realize the progress is not controllable anymore, banning makes easy for them.
2637  Economy / Economics / Re: "Crypto is no longer in the early adoption stage" on: August 13, 2021, 01:15:25 PM
Early adoption in some country but to those who are in the market since 2017 or even before that, it can be consider as not new adoption anymore. There’s a lot of new investors in this market even today, its hard to say what’s the stage of adoption already in the whole market but one thing is for sure, we are growing.
Exactly. We have passed already the infancy stage so we're heading into another stage which will best describe with the present status of crypto right now. And whatever it is, it does not matter as long as we know the fact that crypto community is consistently growing and the developments have become inevitable.

For anti-crypto or even for those who really don't know about crypto, we are still starting but for crypto enthusiasts, we are already close to crypto adoption. Crypto has become maintream already and maybe few years from now, crypto will be integrated in most of the banking transactions or in any field of finance.
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market in the currency market is about to start on: August 13, 2021, 12:52:41 PM
Waiting From so many times for this bull run, now its feeling good to see market good and i think soon in nov and dec market will jump btc will sudden jump to 70k$ and market will start bullrun. this news come from many sources, btc will now bull in long run which is already started

Reaching new all time high after market crash is hard, just like the previous one, we need about 4 years to build people trust and forget it's before crash. So i think it won't reach $70k but i'm sure it will stable and create new support at $50k. Just watch on alts maybe some alts will create new all time high
Bitcoin already reaches $64k and that is a new all-time high so far. But unfortunately, the price now decreased a lot and needs more time to back to $64k. I am sure that it will not takes too long to break $64k and make another new ATH but we will not know how high the bitcoin price will increase later. But $70k could be positive to reach before the end of this year. However, I agree with you that reaching the next ATH will not easy as it was.
I don't think bitcoin will find it hard to reach another ATH as its current price with $46,528  is waving into $50k resistance level. Yes, the recent crash has affected the price of bitcoin but now that its finally back to its momentum, i think this time it will be straight forward. There might be healthy price corrections along the way, and i know it will happen, but after that we will witness a new all time high. Not just for bitcoin  even ethereum is very bullish at the moment. Maybe the whole crypto market is now starting to become bullish again.
2639  Economy / Economics / Re: We exited the bear market earler than expected on: August 13, 2021, 09:39:22 AM
The cryptocurrency market just followed the trends from other sectors of the economy. Look at the stock market, it is also at historic highs, despite the concern regarding the delta variant. And I have been saying this for sometime now. The 2021 price movements closely resemble what we had in 2017. And if that is true, we are about to witness a major bull run, by the end of this year. And  hopefully by then, we will have multiple countries declaring Bitcoin as the legal tender (El Salvador is the only one which has currently done that).
I think what we had in 2017 is quite different from this year because i don't see we actually entered into a clear bearish season. Altcoins may have experienced the dips but when we talk about bitcoin, the price is still high when compared last 2017. I think its all because bigger institutions have already backed up bitcoin so when it falls, the price won't really drop drastically.

However, the price becomes even more optimistic today and if i'm not mistaken, we will enter a bullish season early this year. Bitcoin and ethereum are definitely on top and hopefully other altcoins will come up surging too so we can witness the whole crypto market becomes green again.
2640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still have thoughts of picking Gold over Bitcoin, read this. on: August 13, 2021, 09:13:52 AM
It's quite surprising how people still consider gold a more profitable investment than Bitcoin. Guess they're not familiar with the saying, 'the higher the risk, the greater the reward'. Although this doesn't mean you should go taking uncalculated risk as that'll be a deadly move that could cost you all your funds. Bitcoin has shown time without number that it's the better investment vehicle than Gold and it just did it again

Just came across this article and think it'll be best I shared it here for the doubters still hoping for their previous metal to recover while they keep on missing out on the chance to partake in one of life greatest innovation.

Quote from:  One Bitcoin now buys 0.6 kilograms of gold as 10-year returns turn negative
As of Tuesday, fresh data shows that Gold/USD traded 3.7% lower than it did in the same day in 2011.
Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/one-bitcoin-now-buys-0-6-kilograms-of-gold-as-10-year-returns-turn-negative

Guess there's nothing left to be proven again for bitcoin and it's safe to say it has outperformed Gold in all angles. I would prefer my investment in an asset that could give me higher double digits gains than an asset that can barely gives strong double digits gains and yet been called the safe heaven when it also poses same risk of a lost in value during trying times.
To reason with you, then I think we have to ask ourselves these question. Since the existence of Gold as an asset, how many persons had it enriched? Probably the rich and those who could mine it, having an excess to it. Only the rich could buy gold, so what happened to the poor masses. Gold is limited since it existence with few number of persons having it in custody.

✓Now let's looks at Bitcoin, with the few supplies of Bitcoin so many investors had been enriched by just buying and holding.

✓Bitcoin had really create a chance for other development of coins expaanding the cryptocurrency market.

✓A lots of job opportunities had being created increasing the numbers of wealthy persons on this planet Earth. There are many reasons why I would choose Bitcoin over Gold.
Since bitcoin is not as popular as gold, in the eyes of the people particularly those who believe in traditional assets, gold overcome the value of bitcoin. But in our own eyes, bitcoin is definitely the topmost investment. So i don't have any doubts investing my capital into bitcoin because the returns is such incomparable. If only we can be more educated with the latest innovation technology, then we can simply conclude that bitcoin and gold are totally different.
