2621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2022, 09:12:50 PM
~
It's like the Brooklyn Nets just made an experiment but it failed. So what's next? A question that had been itching for many Brooklyn fans.
Durant wants a trade and I think Kyrie want the same.
They will be left with nothing if it happens or a roster with roleplayers unable to create chemistry or they could just stick with the plan and try the experiment one more time just to see where it will go.
It really is a failed experiment by the Brooklyn Nets but with their superstars, they might get a good trade package for those 2 especially Durant.
Kyrie wants to be in the Lakers and Lebron wanted it as well but the question is who will the Lakers trade just to get him. Durant now want's to go to either Phoenix or Miami but that would be hard because I don't know who will either Phoenix or Miami want to trade just to get Durant.

I just don't know but if Kyrie will go to Lakers, the Warriors might get Durant again (guess only) and they have a good trade package to get Durant with Poole, Wiggins and Wiseman so they an get it if both parties will agree. The future of the Nets now is still unknown but we might see a picture of what they will be doing next season if Kyrie and Durant will be traded and which players will get in exchange for both of them.
Gonna be huge for the Warriors if they will able to get Durant back. But we all know things have been said after Durant left, so might not be a good idea for the Warriors to get him back again that will cost a lot. But who knows, as we have seen in the last decade or so, there are no longer loyalties in the NBA. Organizations too, if they think it will be good for them, then definitely they can break the winning formula so we will see. I'm still on the fence though.

I don't think they can get Durant back.  Even if they do, it seems like there would be some issues there with drama.  I did notice that Draymond Green came out the other day and said that they wouldn't have been able to beat LeBron without Durant in their last Finals matchup.  That seemingly was an olive branch to Durant, who Green famously told that they could win without him.  I guess father time has made that statement no longer true.

For sure they will never try to get durant back as the Nets ask those young guys of Warriors which can help then in future, If they trade them for Durant its like they are risking their future to a injury prone guy and proven that he can't lift a team so its good that they retain their young core and develop more other rookies rather than breaking it and get a problem which they already get rid. It's interesting to see what will be the performance of warriors next season since to many of their young key players already departed from their team.

Exactly, that specific trade will be at the Brooklyn Nets advantage. Maybe not this coming season but in the long-term they will be at their advantage mainly if Poole, Wiggins and Wiseman will be at the Nets in-exchange for Kevin Durant. The way I see it, the management of the Nets are already tired of building a superteam because in the end, it will be a big disaster if the superstars won't be synchronized just like what happened to them recently.
2622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 06, 2022, 08:48:06 PM

He wouldn't be worry, he has been calling Spence Jr for quiet sometime now and is eager to face him. And this will be his perfect opportunity, no more Bob Arum in the middle for him to negotiate with Spence Jr and PBC. He might get the short end of the deal, but still, that money is going to be big.

Exactly, 50% of 10 million is smaller than 40% of 20 million, so the percentage does not really matter and Crawford has to take a low percentage for this fight to finally be sealed. Spence is a PPV attraction, so if Crawford could beat Spence, then he will become popular and next fight of his will make him earn more.

That's why Spence Jr. is called the king of PPV because of the revenue he can attract through PPV whenever he got some fights. For Spence, I think he will be more than happy to accept that 40% purse cut just to make the fight happen and that specific cut is already big enough for him as he's now flying solo with no Bob Arum.
He may be under Mayweather Promotions in this fight but his cut will be much bigger than he's with Bob, and that will be his biggest paycheck in his entire career.
2623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 06, 2022, 08:26:31 PM
it is 72% against 27% favoring Donnie Nietes 11 .

I assume that even in His older age still People are aiming and trusting Him to win this fight?

but the sad part here is if that he losses this one , maybe he will also retire like the 2 famous Filipino Boxer that face defeat and decide for retirement.

Retiring is going to be an option for Nietes IF he losses, which I don't thin he will. If you take a look at his last fight against Reveco last year, he's still looking sharp and mixes his punch very well. Nietes is a smart boxer and an underrated one. He fought Ioka once and that gave him the edge to win the fight, and that explains the odds as well.
And that also explains why people/bettors are trusting him 100%. Being strong and smart at the same time is a formidable force.
For the records as well, he's the longest reigning Filipino world champ boxer.

True! He won't be the longest-reigning Filipino world champion if he's not that good, he's just underrated because back in his prime, Pacquiao and Donaire are more known than him. He may be aging but his experience and IQ in the ring will speak for him in the ring, particularly this time that he had already faced Ioka few years back and I also don't think that Ioka will have the advantage in this upcoming fight.
2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: July 06, 2022, 06:36:48 PM
We experienced unexpected events or moments in gambling like this one, you are calling it off a day in a session then you're suddenly on a winning streak thinking that it's your time to get back what you've lost will you go or will you stop and come back the next day.

I'm sometimes tempted to continue but I know you cannot beat the house, so most of the time I just call it a day and just wished that tomorrow or next time it's my lucky day. What about you what's your take.
Anyone that have been a regular on betting platform or shop as was mine case, you certainly must have had these experiences. You suddenly feel like it's your time to recover all you've lost and even gain more. A few more loses after some consecutive wins don't seem to matter but in actual, its a clear warning on how things have turned and you ought to heed and call it a day. Even when you've not lost, the fact that you made some wins already is you to have gained in on your lose or made profits off your stakes. Best thing to do is to walk away before other emotions set in and your likely to lost all that you've won.

As a bettor and a gambler, it is really hard not to have these experiences and this is one of the most common problems that gamblers are still trying to conquer because it really hard to put a stop sign on that specific activities if you're having a good run. We are thinking that this might be the day where we can somehow recover our losses in the past days but in the end, we still lose.

That's because we can't stop ourselves and that's also why it's really important to have the right mindset.
2625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 06, 2022, 06:14:47 PM
In my opinion, there can be many good reasons for a player to opt out of the KYC procedure.

Anonymity and confidentiality are the core values of a crypto enthusiast.

These values were important to Satoshi Nakamoto and others who were at the forefront of Bitcoin.  They are important to all of us.

The KYC procedure carries a great danger for the player.  Confidential data can get into the dark web and be used by criminals for illegal purposes.  For example, data obtained as part of the KYC procedure can be used to apply for a loan or loan, as registration data for illegal and criminal actions.

Therefore, I avoid online casinos that require mandatory KYC.

But we cannot really blame these casinos because they are just implementing what the government wants as they won't have their license if they would not obey that implementation. The government is just harsh sometimes with these kinds of things but these things have only surfaced when they received intel that casinos and other online platforms may have been used to launder money.
But we as decent citizens, we are taking the burden because of those criminal organizations, so now we are taking these KYC procedures even if we don't want it so that we can claim and withdraw our winnings/funds.
2626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 06, 2022, 05:54:56 PM
Like most who answered, I believe I am a casual player, I play few times, my goal in gambling is just for fun and to pass the time and most of the time the amount of money I bet is very small and it's nothing very significant!
Since we are in crypto market, most of us here are busy with other things like on bounty, trading, and even on the P2E games, that’s why casual gambler are more popular. I also play casual since I don’t want too much exposure in gambling and like what i’ve said I’m also busy with other things. Gambling is more fun if you don’t take it seriously, casual gaming is ideal to those who are seeking to have more fun.
Same here, and actually that's really common here and the poll shows that 53.7% of the users here in this forum are more of casual social gamblers than the others specified by the OP. That said, I only gamble rarely and if I gamble, I'm just there to entertain myself and not seeing gambling activities as a way to generate money. If at the end of the day I'm winning then that's just a bonus for me as I only seek entertainment.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hodlers are actively buying bitcoin these days on: July 05, 2022, 09:54:17 PM
the blockchain analysis shows that a lot of bitcoin hodlers are actively buying bitcoin and increasing their wealth by taking advantage of the current discount offered to them by the weak hands and their panic sells.
as we can see here the number of addresses that are holding more than 1 bitcoin is significantly increasing which shows how people who were struggling to reach 1BTC target are succeeding these days and are even surpassing that target heading to the next one.

source of the pic is reddit
If you are in the bitcoin forum for quite long, you will eventually develop your high interest for bitcoin and become one of those bitcoin enthusiasts which the only concern is to satisfy their craving for bitcoin and own a lot of bitcoin in their portfolio. It's just that the crypto market condition at the present is giving us the best opportunity to buy at its cheapest value, so not surprising if those long term hodlers of bitcoin have increased because they can buy more bitcoin at a very convenient price.
2628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty programs or airdrops more profitable to participate in? on: July 05, 2022, 09:30:19 PM
Can you make more money participating in bounties or airdrops? I made the most money doing airdops so far, like the one from Uniswap, but long term, I think bounties like the one from candlelabsdotorg will pay off better. What do you think? Which of these methods of earning free crypto should I pursue?
The market condition is not safe to enter or participate into bounties or airdrops because most likely, they don't have real long term vision in the market because of their low utility cases that creates low crypto community demand, and that most of them are part of scams. Participating in these bounties or airdrops are just a waste of time, they don't promise valuable profits in the long run.
2629  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: July 05, 2022, 08:59:09 PM
I would put it a little differently. I don't like the word "save". For me, this word is associated with poverty. But the expression "spend wisely" is more suitable. If a person has a goal or an idea for which they are going to save money, then there is motivation. But to deprive yourself of a lot to invest in the future, to be honest, I don’t see the point. No one knows how long your life will last, and depriving yourself of everything, constantly saving, at some point may seem very stupid.
The whole idea of saving will not also be possible as you have also your own bills to pay and basic needs to attend, so certainly its more on spending wisely through money management. And when you invest, it doesn't mean that you have to invest all what you have got, instead invest only a portion of you hard earned money so that if you lose, you won't be badly affected.
2630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: July 04, 2022, 09:55:59 PM
Any advice from those who have been in crypto for a long time for those who are seeing this market for the first time?

My advice is simple, don't expect too much in crypto. I can give you sunshine but crypto can give you thunderstorms as well. Before entering any market, you should learn to make a research first about the coin, about their roadmap, plans, strategies, use case and also better if you will learn different jargon related to trading, also prepare your emotional and mental health, trading can give you breakdown in your first few years.
I guess that explains all. Also, do not invest in crypto for quick profits because it takes first a lot of hardwork and wise moves in the market before you can be profitable. And only invest on the amount you can afford to lose, as the crypto market is not all about profiting, but you also have to endure a lot of losses before you can learn your own strategies, and having good strategies do not still guarantees that you'll be profitable already. The fact is, you have to learn in crypto the hard way.
2631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't sell your precious BTC to the whales! on: July 04, 2022, 08:56:54 PM
We've been here before, you are just making the whales richer, selling your precious BTC for pennies (crappy fiat). The storm will pass, hodl, or try to accumulate even more BTC, it's a great time to buy for cheap. We will make it this time too. Even if BTC goes down to $15,000 nothing is forever. Remember $20,000 down to $3,000? Been through that storm too. Remember, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. To the Moon!
That goes out for all those who have forgotten and force to sell their bitcoin because they become more triggered that they won't be making money at all. When the fact is, everyone who sell at a bearish state only end up selling to acquire more losses. But for those who never doubted bitcoin and continue to hold for long term, they mostly end up as winners as they know history will keep on repeating and it always settle with bitcoin price to the moon.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 03, 2022, 10:42:13 AM
can he throw a ko punch on vargas?

He should and I'm looking forward to that. That KO win will give Magsayo an appreciation to the boxing community.

I just found it unfair that even he is winning, people like a KO win to get the respect he get. Since PH community used to see KO win from Pacquiao, our other boxers are expected to do the same way.

A good odds for a champion. Where can we see odds of an champion at over 1.8? Placing a bet for Magsayo is worth the risks.

I think Magsayo will go for a KO, he has the power to do that so yeah, if given the chance and if he see the perfect opportunity to might throw a power left that will level Vargas in the canvass for good.

The odd is good for him because Vargas is not that far behind, so still a good bet at ML although the best time is when the odds went out early with Magsayo as underdog at 2.x. (and I thought that he will remain the underdog, but Vargas leads quickly evaporate).

Magsayo for KO, I think that's the best bet, or if we are not satisfied with Magsayo's performance in the past, then you can go for Vargas winning via decision as I don't see he could hurt Magsayo here. The odds are very competitive, so this fight might be a close fight, or if we see a KO, it should be in the later rounds.

I'm okay with that already because Magsayo has a good KO rate so if he wins, it will likely be a KO.

He has 24 wins and 16 of that from KO, which means his KO rate is 67%
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/653034

He knows that an impressive win will bring him big fights in the future, so if he wants to be more successful in boxing, he has to win this one.
2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 03, 2022, 09:56:36 AM

That was the time when Spence has not added a belt and he was already asking for a 60/40 price, how much more that he had more belts than in the past 2 years, so it will not change his mind, he think he deserve a bigger share.

Agree to that and he will continue to demand that as he believes that he is more worthy than Crawford.

It will be a talk between two camps and if they both agree, then there's nothing to think of any reason, only the fitted schedule
for this upcoming fight. Spence added more belts since he beats Ugas and claims another title, which supposedly a belt fight
between him and the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

Yes, and I think he is in the position now to demand, and if Crawford really believe that he can beat Spence, then I think he should agree with the 60/40 sharing, or else, he will remain as the next best fighter to Spence until they move up in weight.

2634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 03, 2022, 09:24:06 AM

Also, in the 2nd game, NLEX was up double-digit against Magnolia but Magnolia come back and even beat NLEX with a double-digit.
Thing is, it's really the defense that matters most and SMB and Magnolia have that.

Just like their game against the Phoenix, they were up big time in the first quarter but they still allow the Phoenix to come back, they are lucky that time that the game went to OT, and Phoenix superstars were not able to play in the OT, but this time they were bully by the Magnolia in the entire 2nd half.

Yes, I still remember that.

Actually both teams are unreliable that time because it Phoenix suppose to win it already but their bad defense leads to an OT that results their loss. Anyway, I think NLEX has to learn to improve their defense, because if not, they cannot fight against the pressure of a defensive team like Magnolia, SMB, and Ginebra, or even Meralco.
2635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 03, 2022, 01:58:00 AM
I read that the Lakers and Celtics are in the fight for Thomas Bryant. with 56.1% efficiency he is a good option to be signed by either the Lakers or Celtics, but what made me laugh was the news that Zion Williamson even without having played games he will sign a renewal contract and the contract value is 221 million euros, but you have some conditions: he will have to get into one of the All - Nba teams or be defender of the year next season, if he doesn't make it meet these requirements then the amount he will receive until 2028 will be 185 million euros, the contract extension only comes into effect in 2023.

Some contract recently include that that kind incentives, bring the team to a championships, finals, playoffs, won an individual awards etc, you know what I mean. I think it's a win-win for both the management and the player themselves. So the player in this case is Zion W. needs to exert more effort win individual accolades and then work hard to bring the team to the next level, so it's a perfect contract for player with a huge pay.

That's what you called incentives, sometimes it's not included in the contract but it's just a management prerogative to give bonuses on their achievement. It's a way to motivate players, just like in business, if you pass the quota, you will get an incentive to reward your hard work, it's not new actually as even in local sports it also exists.
2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 03, 2022, 01:30:41 AM
Spence are still asking for a bigger slice of the pie which I think is reasonable, but Crawford's camp might not like it.

Any source or link that Spence is asking for a big splice? Do you mean higher from the expected 60-40?

If that's 70-30 then I don't think this fight will happened. But are we just speculating here or Spence really demands a split like that?

I don't believe Spence will push for 70-30. He knows that Crawford camp will not agree with that.

This is an old post, https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/jwpqht/coppinger_asked_errol_spence_jr_if_he_deserves/

That was the time when Spence has not added a belt and he was already asking for a 60/40 price, how much more that he had more belts than in the past 2 years, so it will not change his mind, he think he deserve a bigger share.
2637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 03, 2022, 01:10:43 AM
Another big win by SMB, it's a 4th quarter dominant performance by the team and they beat the Northport by 16 points.

This is probably the best offensive game of JMF since he scored 21 points in this game, and has a very decent shooting percentage with 9-11.

Congrats SMB bettors, another easy win.

I thought the game will be close. They closed the halftime at all score 55 and Northport is doing great. Then late in the game, I don't know what happened to NP and the rest is history. It's been a while that JuneMar Fajardo making a rally at the end and becomes the challenge for the NorthPort.

If JMF was dominating the defense, the NP should just focus on perimeter shooting but that's not what happened as they become cold hands at the end. If only their hot shooting maintain, the result might be different.

4th quarter is the quarter that the SMB are really good, it was a big win when we thought that Northport is already a legit team to compete with SMB, we were wrong because what we witness is a big 4th quarter meltdown.

Also, in the 2nd game, NLEX was up double-digit against Magnolia but Magnolia come back and even beat NLEX with a double-digit.
Thing is, it's really the defense that matters most and SMB and Magnolia have that.
2638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 02, 2022, 02:51:54 PM
Spence vs Crawford is one of the most anticipated fights this year, we should see this as both promoters of the fight will surely get their expectation when it comes to revenue, and both fighters as well will pocket a big paycheck.
I believe Crawford is still a free agent. He doesn't have any promoter now which makes this fight and negotiations very doable. Unless Spence and his team will continue to evade and prolong the negotiations in order to exploit Crawford's age.

Maybe this fight is really happening this year hence the rumors. Only remaining stuffs to settle probably the location and sharing or profit.
I think there's no problem with the location as US is the idea place for this big event, the only problem I see is the sharing because until now, Spence are still asking for a bigger slice of the pie which I think is reasonable, but Crawford's camp might not like it.

Exactly, Spence is a PPV king (not so close with Mayweather though) and since it's against Crawford, it could be the biggest PPV revenue for Spence.
Our current ppv king is Canelo. Spence is very very very far from becoming a ppv king. He's not even second nor third. Even Tank Davis fighting nobodies are matching Spence ppv buys.
With that, I guess this big fight has a chance to give both fighters the biggest PPV revenue in their career, so it should happen.
2639  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another KYC requirements ng coins.ph? on: July 02, 2022, 02:09:10 PM

Ang problema kasi hindi iyong ang first time na pagsubmit ko ng source of income.  Way back  early 2018, nirequire nila ako magsubmit ng KYC, nagcomply naman ako at hinanapan din ako ng source of income dahil nga medyo malaki talaga ang kinukuha ko noon araw araw.   Nagsubmit ako ng source of income ko from trading, as assistant sa mga bounty campaigns, at from signature campaign, that time fortunejack ang campaign na nasalihan.  That time nasa 0.04 BTC weekly ang pasweldo plus bonuses ng fortunejack kaya napaka generous ng Sig campaign nila noon.  Wala naman naging problema during those time, inaccept naman nila yung source of income ko kaya nagtaka ako nung humingi ulit sila ng update ng source of income ko ay rejected na.

So paano ba ang pinaka magandang pag state ng source of income kung ang source ay paminsan minsang  pag ttrade at karamihan ay kung may signature campaign.

Part time salary from product promotion?

So now the Jazz has twin towers? Rudy Gobert and KAT?
I think the news says that Gobert is traded to Wolves, therefore he will be in a new team playing with KAT.

not sure if this is a good combination and what will Rudy bring to them? I think this is a bad trade for the Wolves, except for his defense, I don't think Rudy offers something that will change the course of their team. On the contrary he might be liable again when small teams going to take advantage of Rudy in pick and roll and then simply get past by him in iso play outside.
Jazz are done with Gobert, he maybe is a good defensively but inside he has no big contribution especially in the playoffs, so I think it's a good decision that Jazz will let him go to experiment with new players in exchange.
