2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bloodbath! on: May 20, 2021, 11:08:26 AM
Bloodbath is over, bitcoin is slowly recovering now and we are gonna see it trading at $40k.. The bloodbath was just a blessing for those who trust as they can accumulate at a cheap price, bitcoin will recover, then altcoins will follow. I'm expecting a green market in the next few days.

I would not be too quick to say that it is over:) This is crypto and fear and uncertainty has hit not just individuals but even companies and funds and while some did not sell and feel relieved now, they could be selling now in CASE it goes down even more,,, and then that might even create a bigger cascade of people selling off to reduce risk.
2622  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do exchanges let you fill your own order? on: May 20, 2021, 09:40:50 AM
Actually,,, the exchanges I have do not let you do it. When you already put the one buy order at the price, and you try to put another sell order at the same price, I remember getting a message saying you are not allowed to do it. Cannot remember which exchange this was but I assumed it was then for all.
Thanks! I think this behaviour actually makes the most sense. Preventing a user from selling lower than their highest buy (or vice versa) before their order is placed on the market seems to be correct.

I cannot remember the term for it but on regulated exchanges the practice is forbidden,,, for normal stock exchange and for foreign exchange markets is what it does not allow because it is just against the regulations. Maybe now for many unregulated crypto platforms they allow it but sooner or later the practice will be banned so people can only do it on DEXes I guess:)

2624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2021, 05:33:48 AM
Got my first yellow cap, woohoo!

So next round is the final round, right? Do we have a final payouts list?  I know hilarious listed a hypothetical one in OP, but I haven't seen if that one is confirmed or if there's a new one.

Had a blast this season, learned a lot as a EPL noob and hopefully will be back for the next one.

Congratulations and yes there is only one match left so that is the final round. There is a final payouts list in the OP and that is actually the final one after it was discussed earlier:)

Glad you enjoyed so did I,,, except I worry so much now about what happens to my team Spurs who maybe not even have Europa League football to play after being so horrible:(
2625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is pumping now. on: May 19, 2021, 02:33:20 PM
It's amazing, you are so steadfast in your own stance, I feel very good about that, but what I see is that XRP doesn't have many problems, only a few problems and some of them have been resolved and the rest are almost resolved, so you can wait for that so you can make sure that XRP is really in a safe condition.

If you think it is amazing to see XRP people hold true to their coin,,, then you should see the memecoin people and not even old ones like DOGE. You visit safemoon,,, shiba,,, and whatever new memecoins launching on ETH and BSC. These guys are hyper believers and do anything on YT and Tiktok to fuel more buuyers.
2626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reactions From Musk's Bitcoin criticism on: May 19, 2021, 02:02:17 PM
His ultimate aim may be to come up with his own coin, which may be named as MuskCoin or TeslaCoin. I also agree that it is not going to happen very immediately. He may wait for a few months, or even up to a year. During this time he will promote Dogecoin. And when the time comes, he will dump Dogecoin by giving some silly excuse and try to promote his own coin. But if you check the market caps of BTC and Doge, you can see that this plan hasn't worked very well. Doge market cap is still around 7% of that of Bitcoin.

That is what I said in the post you quoted yes,,, but I think instead of doing it publicly he will probably work with a few anon devs to launch new coins he will invest in to market but not directly say he is a part of.

He wants to protect his Tesla revolution and he may realize soon his crypto involvement is not good for the Tesla business. His investors and shareholders will be especially worrying.
2627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 19, 2021, 12:41:28 PM
As per today, BTC is going back to $40k, this is a really really bad news for all of us, BTC is really falling down and i hope BTC will getting back bigger in the near future.
We just can hope that there will be no more bad issues or bad news about BTC.
Because people keep spreading fear about BTC that make a bad impact to altcoins.

From here it looks like as if even 35k and 30k are very possible,,, such is the effect of mass panic, equal and even stronger to the effect of fomo, both caused and felt by the same groups of speculators.

No need to hope for no more bad issues for BTC. The same bad ones will come up again in another 2/3 years trust me. Energy consumption is VERY old issue!
2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 19, 2021, 12:07:46 PM
there is still the second leg for those teams, Brentford have been a solid team in the previous season finishing 3rd but failed on the playoffs losing against Fulham in the finals in extra time, this season they also finished 3rd despite losing Watkins to aston Villa and Benrahma to WestHam the two players scored combined more then half of Brentford goals last season and this season they didnt get affected that means they got a good squad all around and i see them the most favorite to play in EPL next season.
The play off final more likely to have Swensea and brendford.

Ah thank you I actually didn't know there was a second leg I thought everything became 1 leg because of Covid implementation for the FA. But yes, still I think Bournemouth will be the team to either draw or win again or force penalties... and then meet Swansea. Time for another Wales team to appear in the premier league again?
2629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 19, 2021, 10:44:21 AM
Even if the crude oil and natural gas becomes worthless all of a sudden, the economy of the UAE won't be impacted much. Because unlike the other GCC nations, UAE has already been very successful in diversifying their economy. They were able to attract the service industry, by imposing zero corporate and income tax. So they are already in a very comfortable position and as of now there is no need to find any additional avenues of revenue by opening casinos.

Exactly. I think a lot of people are ignoring the fact that these OPEC countries have learnt a lot of lessons from the past few decades,,, and the oil money they know will not last forever, which is why they have invested in big businesses all over the world. Just like the old oil governments in North Europe in the past who now even diversify into Bitcoin;)
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: May 19, 2021, 10:04:56 AM
One thing is having these experience, the next thing is what you learnt and how to get back to your fit. Its always advised not to invest or gamble what you can't afford to lose. So, we must ask ourself at every point before making a stake. What would become of us should we loose the staked amount?

Let's go about gambling responsibly.

Easier said than done and I always say and I will repeat it here,,, You HAVE to find a small circle of friends who love and care for each other, to support each other in gambling responsibly. It is easy to say on your own, impossible to implement.

Let someone close know your habits, your budgets, your wins and losses. And you do the same for them. Take care of each other like a buddy system:)
2631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 19, 2021, 08:58:46 AM
I don't think that's the case, It's more like the bookies also understand that it's not a must win for City (the same goes for Brighton anyways), City would still play some of it's top players if you ask me, you'd need them match fit as possible, you don't rest a player for as much as 12 days just so they don't get injured, he'd probably keep the barely fit and near fatigued players, like De Bruyne) but I would expect the Sterling and Aguero or Jesus who aren't getting much play time to be involved.

See, Sterling, and aguero did not play,,, JEsus only got 15 minutes after they were losing, so clearly Pep did not really care about it and who blames him, after the red card especially and then to go 2-0 up,,, you would never expect them to lose. When was the last time City lose after 2 goals up, I cannot remember at all:)
2632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you "swap" your crypto for a Tesla? on: May 19, 2021, 08:16:16 AM
I do not know why people need to ask silly questions like this.

If I NEED a car, and if I WANT a Tesla,,, I buy it, whether with btc or alts or regular fiat.

But if it is to change one investment to another then of course you say no. Knowing cars immediately lose their resale value the moment you take it out of the showroom.

2634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 18, 2021, 03:00:21 PM
You’re jinxing it, right?  Grin  And we all know City chokes at these big crucial matches.  i’m rooting for them to win, I’m going to bet on them to win but I wouldn’t be too surprised if we see City in their ‘off day’ at the final.
City indeed does choke at the big crucial stages, but not in finals, at least not Guardiola. He's only lost one of the 15 finals he has coached, winning 14 of them. Impressive right ? In the last encounter Man City was the better side, and the match was just as though the team the shortcomings of the FA Cup semi final, it was just luck that wasn't on their side. I would expect a more composed City side and they final is the only obligation they have left, while Chelsea needs to think of the plan B or could miss out the UCL they're a finalist for next year.

Can you believe the odds for Brighton to win against city is only 5x? This means the bookies think for sure City will play C team. I personally always feel this can backfire because top players like playing every 3 days and if you play rested players in a big final, you get fresh and fast teams but both will be so careful not to lose.

Who says this goes to penalties?
2635  Economy / Gambling / Re: Very immoral marketing strategy. on: May 18, 2021, 01:42:39 PM
But you know what I say? I say if you believe in influencers making money from you and who care nothing about the real people and what happens to them, then maybe you deserve to get scammed by the people you love to follow.
Fascinated that much or idolized into a certain extent on where you thinking had been affected or simply your common sense had been badly influenced which would result into those dumb decisions
on following even if its obvious that they are quite deceiving. If you do know this since from the start but you did just ignore just because youre an avid fan or supported
then getting hooked would really be next in line. You would play but ending up on having different results or outcomes. Luck cant really be passed on
and if you do believe about that bullshit then you'll surely whine later on.

I do not really go on social media much because of this, to see how people have almost no common sense,,, you see the worst of people who only give opinions and share bad opinions. Popularity is the only goal,,, nobody really gives a shit about truth or logic. There is little question it is all self serving and narcissistic.

So I still say, if you really do not want to use your brains then maybe you deserve to get scammed my immoral marketing.
2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the motive behind the anti gambling campaign on: May 18, 2021, 01:06:11 PM
Because there are too few of a winners compared to losers in gambling, also gambling isn't a healthy habit to have since it is a vice and it can be addicting. The motive behind the campaign is that they want to help people deter from possibility of gambling addiction.

It is not a simple straightforward thing as "too few winners compared to losers" because in that case any type of money business would be illegal (even trading, which statistically has more losers than winners).

It's more about the addiction issues like any other vice, and perhaps,,, religious aspects from some quarters.
2637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 18, 2021, 11:44:06 AM
AFC Bournemouth and Swansea were the ones who got passed in the playoff games from last night! So we are almost going to see now the 3 relegated teams from last season all coming back to see us again here. But I do feel sorry for Sheffield United for going down. So crazy to see teams go down and up again:)
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SpaceCorgi still unpumped dog foundation meme coin on: May 18, 2021, 11:12:49 AM
Too many of this memecoin with large supply are being traded heavily some of it has gained %1000 value. People are just hoping one over to the another. Maybe Spacecorgi can be pumped in the next days or weeks. Who knows the market is turning into a gambling environment.

People want to find something to blame for crypto market crash now? Blame these memecoins. Creating nothing out of thin air,,, with no value or utility,,, not use case not anything. Just pure speculating activity and now of course when people dump,,, everything is going on.

Look at the title of the thread. Unpumped:)
2639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reactions From Musk's Bitcoin criticism on: May 18, 2021, 09:49:41 AM
You will soon see that he will find some technical reason why he no longer supports DogeCoin and Shiba ....to rinse and repeat that strategy. (Possibly hiring his own developers to create MuskCoin that runs on Power Wall or something)  Roll Eyes

No I do not think it will come soon. Right now he sees all the potential and like he said he will work with the dev to make new improvements,,, but he will use all this experience to launch a new coin or many new coins. All without his involvement public.

Then he will laugh all the way to the bank.
2640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 18, 2021, 09:09:24 AM
I don't understand why so many people here are talking about Chelsea... In my opinion Man City looks much stronger! I think they have no problem winning the Champions League... And win home and UEFA championships... Wink

Why not? I mean they did lose the last two games,,, but Arsenal and Leicester City anyway are not such terrible teams so to lose to them even as favorites is not a really bad thing. Of course City are stronger but there is almost no doubt that experience matters a lot in Champions League and maybe the few strong experienced veterans including Tuchel himself can get the best out of Chelsea and City can
