1701  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: September 09, 2021, 12:59:18 PM
In fact, even during the 2020 pandemic, bitcoin prices are still going up. different from 2017-2018 ago, the decline in bitcoin occurred because so many FUDs such as banned from china, google, social media, and others, pushed the price of bitcoin quite far. however, current conditions are very different from previous years. Currently, there are already very many investors and support for bitcoin. even some of the big companies that banned bitcoin again opened up access to it. well, we can see it, although the decline was quite far from $60k, but now the bitcoin price is crawling little by little back towards its ATH. this is clearly very different from the previous year. in fact, I believe a new ATH will also be achieved this year.

I have to agree here,,, 2017 dumping was, if we are honest, because 20k was too high a price for Bitcoin at the time. A lot of heavy speculating,,, people borrowing huge money sums to invest, and of course ICO craze which needed people to buy BTC to participate in.

Very different from 2021 where BTC is for sure worth the price it is today if not more, especially with all the recognition from many more countries since 2017.

Wow that guy made another big bet. For sure he is VIP customer and you all know him by name  Shocked

Free Bets up are back on Sportsbet with 4-3 Premier League match Leeds vs Liverpool, and 6-6 featuring six matches from Premier League round 4!
Winning one of this would be a dream come true if I ever manage to get all six correct predictions with $100,000 in Bitcoin prize.
Don't forget to make your prediction early:

Thank you,,, I just put in my picks. This is all looking like a draw now that I see how Liverpool plays (always can attack against another opponent that also always attacks) but the favorite is very big on the Reds so I guess we all know how we are betting.

6-6 is very tough to decide. I go for just one draw on the last selection here I think.
1703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Defi on BTC on: September 09, 2021, 08:16:28 AM
Everything is going well just means nothing bad has happened yet.

Read about hacks and malicious takeovers in defi and understand for yourself that putting your BTC at risk on another bridge is NOT the same as securing your Bitcoin on chain itself.

There is a reason BTC defi has not taken off, simply said,,, there is no bridge yet that offers the same PoW security as BTC itself.

Hi OP,,, I saw this very late. It is quite expensive still for us in Asia but I have been discussing with some colleagues to convince our office to apply for a business grant using renewable energy + tech and we wonder if we could get the ball rolling by seeing some specs. Unfortunately the website of lightningasic does not seem to be about mining.

Anybody can help me find the right contact, seems OP is not active.

I actually kind of like these scams because it attracts the right kind of people in the end Tongue
We do already have 3 or more for sure
https://www.investopedia.com/tech/three-people-who-were-supposedly-bitcoin-founder-satoshi-nakamoto/

Lots are trying to claim that theyre satoshi but until now it wasnt been proven which do tells that we dont know if he's still
alive or not or just simply lurking to the shadows thats why its hard to presume on whats his next move.

Like I said,,, if anyone actually comes across this after reading the whitepaper and understanding what happened and just spent a little time on this forum, and then they still fall for that crap of satoshi scam, then they probably deserve it.

Proving oneself to be satoshi is so simple signing private keys. But none of these guys can do it.
1708  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bitcoin market just gifted the El Salvadorians 15% discount on: September 08, 2021, 12:25:34 PM
I had a small amount of BTC I did not yet keep into my wallet or exchange out for fiat. Guess what I did with it? I put it all into some alts,,, something I have never done before.

BTC -10% may be true but I looked at alts-BTC pairs of -20% and put it all there. This will be like buying the dip and betting against alts as when I sell my alts BTC will gain back those 20%;)
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 08, 2021, 12:00:07 PM
He has just not enough aggression to win.
Bottas needs to stay a team player as when he moves to AlfaRomeo whomever who will be partnered with next season wouldn't be creating problems for him because I don't think that F1 teams likes a driver that doesn't listen to team instructions,
It will probably not matter as much as in a team where it competes on Drivers Championship but still there is some situations where divers from same team needs to be on the same page look at Hass for example Mazepin and Schumacher have been in a heated relationship that making it difficult race next to each other.
Other news for 2022 season is that Tsonoda and Gasly have been confirmed for Alphatauri so Perez is also confirmed to be partnered with Max next season with RedBull I know that he signed a new contract with Redbull keeping him one more year but this week results have suggested that Gasly should be the one to be promoted to RedBull car.

F1 likes their first driver to be aggressive so we know as I said Bottas main weakness is exactly this,,, and he also knows it which is why he will play second. No team likes a second guy who does not take instructions at all cost,,, so Bottas seems the right fit for this. It will never be a problem I think.

Japanese ace for Tauri is great, he missed a few good spots but they do have a car that keeps getting better!
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittawm's Intro to Liquidity "Mining." The new most profitable form of mining? on: September 08, 2021, 10:56:07 AM
you can always use single staking pools for yield farming

Correct,,, but that is called yield farming, whereas OP is obviously asking about liquidity mining. Staking pools is actually nothing to do with liquidity if I understand correctly. Your staked coins/tokens are nor participating in liquidity pools so cannot be traded in or out, just there locked to the platform, in fact to prevent them being traded.
1711  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Map on: September 08, 2021, 10:02:40 AM
I prefer Coinmap to atmradar as it seems to be more updated, and a bit easier to locate around also.

And https://map.bitcoin.com/ is well, maintained by Bitcoin.com people so you know what they like more but it's all locations and a lot in Asia for BTC merchants and shops, mainly shops to pay in BTC.

I remember reading once you could actually also use Google Maps itself sometimes to check for BTC locations but it never worked for me,,, it is maybe location?
1712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin fall need a reason? on: September 08, 2021, 08:51:30 AM
If the fall is about 10% in a short time i think it must need a reason because there must be a massive sudden movement from the people who holds a lot of bitcoins.
Price swing around 2-3% a day is normal but the crash recently there must be something behind the drop.
So i think it's not just a normal correction but there is an event behind yesterday's crash.

I have seen markets in crypto for 4 to 5 years now and even before then reading about it all,,, there is one truth about it,,, and that is, it needs no reason for big drops and gains. In fact,,, big news does not seem to even move BTC markets the way it does for stocks. For sure, external events can still cause major gains/crash, like last year several events unfolded in this way. But 10% is normal, it does not need "reasons".
1713  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: September 08, 2021, 08:08:04 AM
Definitely, the only thing I can complain is they give us less and less reason to gamble in other books:)
Yeah, sportsbet has come a long way over the years but it is our job to keep them on the toes and make them become even better  Cheesy I have "complained" about various issues during past few years and I must say most of them has been taken into account and eliminated.

I have to say,,, I have never had the opportunity to complain. I mean yes sometimes site is down and maintenance and all of that but that is everywhere even it has a better uptime than my own internet provider what can I say?

In fact,,, like last week they gave 3 free betbuilders and I was not even aware there was a maintenance issue  Cheesy
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying $30 in Bitcoin on Tuesday! For El Salvador and for Bitcoin on: September 08, 2021, 06:26:43 AM
Please stop seeing Bitcoin as a speculative asset as much as possible; it'd be nice to start having some sort of stabilization now that it starts being a legal tender.

Oh my god,,, Saylor Moon is the funniest thing I have heard all week. But anyway,,, in all reality, it will be impossible for us to stop people from seeing Bitcoin the way the majority of people do. And to be honest I have given up on this and made my acceptance of it.

In a small way, speculators do keep the volumes churning so they are good for the industry anyway. And when they dump and are gone for the next cycle, we can gather in quiet again Smiley
1715  Economy / Marketplace / Re: OnlyFans-like product with payments in crypto on: September 08, 2021, 06:00:37 AM
-snip-
Asians are experts at making things work (illegally).
Crypto and adult content have one thing in common: accessibility. Based on the summary of this survey https://thenextweb.com/news/who-are-the-biggest-consumers-of-online-porn, it proves that there are more consumers of adult content than Asian countries. As for crypto bans, Asian countries are definitely first on the list. But the fact is the opposite if we talk about crypto ownership, you can see for yourself here https://triple-a.io/crypto-ownership/
This proves that, the more the government prohibits, the more curious people become.

Yes I agree but I think Americans and Africans would argue with us and say they are the better experts. Especially in US where there are 10 times more laws than us and yet find a way to do everything.

But also we are talking about payments in crypto here and using regulated processors for businesses. I think if you want to do something like Onlyfans you need it to all be legit otherwise you then have to run international offshore operations and every government is after you.

Crypto ownership is not illegal in Asia. But business and porn together like what I said  Grin

1718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi about to show up? on: September 07, 2021, 02:42:25 PM
don't ever expect satoshi to appear, because forever he will be a mystery, even though some say he is satoshi, rest assured, he's just a swindler, who wants to seek fame, and wants to be flattered by others

I would just tell everyone so eager to look for him to just go for the guy still alive claiming to be Satoshi. Because if they actually can believe that crap,,, then they probably deserve that crap.

I actually kind of like these scams because it attracts the right kind of people in the end Tongue
1719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Price Prediction on: September 07, 2021, 12:46:27 PM
BTC doesnt really move like a rocket or it'd fall back down with far harsher action then the selling we do also see, some of the gains are going to be absorbed by selling at the same time.
Most people predicting the price are actually predicting the intrinsic value of bitcoin which means the $100k to $200k is a good guess that is closest to the intrinsic value. But that is not going to be the peak. Just like 2017 when something around $8k was the intrinsic value and you are right about not reaching it like a rocket but bitcoin has never stopped at the intrinsic value ever. It will shoot up more like 2017 when it went up to $20k it will also go to $500k in 2022.
And only then it can have a bubble pop.

Makes sense to say that everyone is predicting an "instrinsic value" but all those predictions in general are TA, which is based purely on market movement (price as a result of demand and supply).

I never heard anyone say intrinsic value was 8k at 2017 though,,, but I would love for you to be right about 100k intrinsic value. Will there be a possibility the price never reaches value?
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 07, 2021, 12:09:54 PM
It was already obvious that Russell deserved Bottas' seat with his performance at Williams. He did awesome things lately with one of the worst cars in the grid. And Bottas hasn't been able to compete with Hamilton also. And his action in the last race already proved that he wanted to leave Mercedes. I wonder whether they give the same car to Hamilton and Bottas both. Because Bottas is not a really bad driver. Maybe the car is a hindrance for him to get ahead of Hamilton. We will see it in the next season when Russell joins the team.

So Bottas will be expected to team up and play nice with Hamilton,,, I cannot see that happening easily unless Bottas already made a decision to take the money and do what the team need hehe. Yes he is not a bad driver but this season he should have at least 2 or 3 more Top 3 finishes. He has just not enough aggression to win.
