I am not sure if adding a reward or betting that is inclined with financial figures could be a good thing when it comes to chess. As stated by the others, if it is a game set in the computer, then cheating is most likely to happen. And I think that real chess players and chess enthusiasts would be dismay if matches would end up being rigged due to aggressive desire to win the monetary reward.
This is why there are less platforms about playing chess online as it can be mostly manipulated and controlled by any cheater who wants to take advantage of the bet. Good thing if you only play with your friends online as your money will be safe but if you happen to play with strangers, most likely cheating will be present. FTX is something else  I don't know how they put this "prediction" market, but FTX afaik, do everything legal and avoids to make something to risk their company. Legally, I don't know the difference between this prediction vs sport bets legally speaking. I happened to be unaware of this "service", let's call it that, from FTX.
But then legally, how will FTX rank? With bookmaker or as an exchange? I think this makes it difficult to grow within exchanges, sports betting.

Um dos caras é responsável por um fundo ESG compartilhado de grandes empresas (XP, Ifood etc) e o cara me procurou porque ele acha que a estrutura centralizada pra absorver a demanda futuro desse setor não vai dar conta de estruturar na velocidade e escala que é necessária. Ai ele já queria começar a pensar na estrutura de DAOs. Na mesma ''linha motivacional'', eu tenho conversado com o responsável por um fundo/aceleradora de projetos da Amazonia que está tendo exatamente o problema de ter muuitos investidores interessados e pouca infraestrutura tecnica/humana para absorver o capital e acelerar de verdade os projetos.
Os dois entendem as DAOS como estruturas capazes de lidar com esse problema de ter recurso, mas nao ter como a estrutura corrente centralizada absorver e lidar com a demanda.
muito legal! pensando superficialmente me parece que seria até mais fácil de implementar no segundo caso que no primeiro no podcast ela sugere uma mudança de terminologia, não lembro exatamente agora, mas diz que seria melhor chamarmos de algo como "empresas auto-geridas" do que de DAOs afinal, em muitos DAOs acontece assim: -Existe uma demanda necessária para o projeto acontecer -Apresentam essa demanda e oferecem um pagamento (bounty) -pessoas se inscrevem para fazer o trabalho bem como: - membros fazem propostas que são votadas pela comunidadee recebem recursos do DAO pelo trabalho realizado. E ainda outros DAOs se organizam com setores expecíficos, pra Arte, comunidade, comunicação, material de aprendizado, etc... cada um com seu conselho e uma multisig para os fundos. é bem legal. Sendo um pouco antiquado, pergunto: As DAOs não podem vir a reduzir ainda mais a mão de obra necessária? Isso por sua vez vai gerar mais desemprego. Atenção, não sou contra. Apenas a ver como as população esta aumentar, e menos empregos tem surgindo. Não será isso um novo problema, que devia estar a ser pensado? pode explicar melhor @joker_josue ?
