I just hope that once you reach your desired rank, you are still going to continue what you have learned on your journey. Hoping that the quality and traits you have mentioned about becoming a good and reputable member in this forum will last regardless of your rank and signature you are participating with.

One thing that you should keep in mind in order for you to enjoy your stay in this community is to commit yourself to a "Lifelong learning".
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: any sportbooks support LN on: August 20, 2020, 08:04:10 AM
Nice finds Maus but I guess those are just lightning app games,,, not sportsbooks as requested.
Yep, those are just common gambling games only with the exception of having Lightning Network enabled. But unfortunately, as everybody said, there are no current sportsbook with LN implemented other than recently closed Microbet.

I am currently exploring how LN works just in case this system has been implemented on the gambling industry.
2643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question on price projection on: August 20, 2020, 03:23:33 AM
Following price predictions that lasts a year or so would be very impossible to predict and take note that these theoretical guess are just simply being used as a reference to how bitcoin market will go and not on something that we should rely in the first place.

I bet that if you want the assurance of other people then many will say that you should at least "hold" or invest in something that will actually increase your bitcoin holdings.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: any sportbooks support LN on: August 20, 2020, 01:27:27 AM
Hhmm.. there are few casinos that implements lightning networks but most of them are not that popular compare to big gambling sites who spends thousands of dollars for advertising, that's just my assumption though.

You can find few of them here.
[1] https://lightningnetworkstores.com/

Some of which are:
[1] https://lightning-roulette.com/
[2] https://bc.game/home
*Note that these are just gambling sites*

The downside of playing to these platforms is that they do not have that much publicity which is a pretty much thing that needs to be consider unless otherwise you can verify their "provably fair" game.
2645  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it necessary to create an ANN thread? on: August 19, 2020, 12:35:20 PM
I don't think it is necessary that you need an ANN thread here on the forum since opening an ANN thread is like an advertisement on the forum to attract more cryptocurrency users or gamblers so I think it's optional.
If they are really serious about their project, then having an ANN thread is a must. It is just one of the ways to widen their marketing strategy in order to give awareness for people that their project does exist in the market.

Well, having an ANN thread doesn't  automatically mean that the project or website is 100% legitimate. There are lots of gambling websites with beautiful and well composed ANN thread but still has the guts to scam and steal other people's money.

However, it might give you at least a good 1st impression for your new customers. Having an ANN thread could also mean that they have a way to consult or to send some help, if whenever, the customers are having technical difficulty in your website.
2646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use BTC to generate passive income like ERC20 tokens? on: August 19, 2020, 04:08:42 AM
What a timely thread! I recently watched one of the episodes of the Q and A episode hosted by Andreas Antonoplous in his youtube channel. Fortunately, it tackes the same query regarding on how to generate bitcoin passive income.

Actually, most of the replies here are somehow similar to what Andreas said in his vlogs. Other than holding, some of which he recommends is to go into a centralised platform where you can lend your bitcoin using the DeFi ecosystem or just establish a stablecoin savings accounts. However, it is always important to take note that all of these money making vehicle are completely not secured and has a lot of underlying risks of losing though.

2647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: August 19, 2020, 03:37:18 AM
On a personal and technical aspect. My exposure to bitcoin and any other top crypto currency influenced me to pursue my current college course which is Computer Engineering. I have just realized that bitcoin and the underlying technology behind its hoods is, somehow perhaps, connected on the subjects I will be taking as a Computer Engineering student.

Not only that that, upon discovering the forum later in my bitcoin journey, seeing a lot of people talking about the complexity and uniqueness of bitcoin starting from its code, political and economical aspect, it gives me an idea of where I am going to focus on my engineering career. It actually inspires me to read a lot and commit myself upon "lifelong learning".
2648  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Reminder]: Read the ToS of a exchange site first before registering on: August 19, 2020, 02:37:26 AM
Although we all know that HitBTC is a scam site and has many accusations in this community way back 2017. But still there might be newbies that are going to fall for this trick. So I advise them to read the ToS first very carefully as you might be the next victim.
While I can't blame the person whose funds are being frozen due to lack of sense of responsibility of the said website to block unauthorized countries from accessing their site. There are still numerous cases wherein the funds of their customers are being taken as hostage due to lack of KYC as well.

Even before, HitBTC already have these fraudulent activities and has been reported multiple times on their reddit page. Agree with @stomachgrowls though.

This is DOPE man!

I have a feeling that this can be used as one of the soundtrack of a bitcoin related movie or skit. Just a comment though, it's kinda short  Cheesy but overall it's all good.

2650  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I received 0.00318 USDT on Binance on: August 18, 2020, 03:18:20 AM
Could this be a case, therefore, of a dusting attack?
Not sure if dusting attacks works the same on Ethereum/Tron, but it's the only feasible reason I think.
If that would be the case, then it would be better to not move that small amount of USDT to another address. However, it might affect his exchange account if there is an instance that he will be using his USDT wallet for trading.

If you have recently received a very small amount of BTC in your wallet unexpectedly, you may be the target of a "dusting attack" designed to deanonymise you by linking your inputs together - Samourai users can mark this utxo as "Do Not Spend" to nip the attack in the bud.

no more metamask.
You can still use metamask though but this time integrate the use of metamask with the help of Ledger Hardware wallet devices to ensure that your private key is stored on secured manner and to avoid such incident. Just make sure that you are not entering malicious airdrop links nor giving out your seed phrases.

I am not an avid fan of altcoins but I do use MyEtherWallet or Metamask before I start becoming serious about bitcoin. Nonetheless, the correct question would be -- Are you using the legitimate metamask browser extension? If not then it is more likely that you got phished or infected.

As far as I know, there has been similar numerous incident wherein their token are being transferred out from metamask to another wallet without the permission of the wallet holder. One of the most common issue is clicking on a malicious airdrop/ links which may compromise your device before you have realized it.

Similar issues on this link.

2653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to catch up knowledge gaps and stay on top? on: August 17, 2020, 02:25:00 PM
I want to start trading and researching new coins opportunities, including small coins with big upside, but I have so many knowledge gaps in  the field and even in understanding of different financial instruments like futures etc.

2654  Economy / Lending / Re: withdraw from a site on: August 17, 2020, 12:51:15 PM
I'm just saying that the casino requirement is normal.
No, it isn't. As far as I am concerned, some of the most reputable gambling website requires their user to deposit a minimum of 1USD in order for their user to withdraw their funds sitting on their website and I have never seen any legitimate gambling sites which forces their user to deposit greater amount than 1USD.

These schemes of "deposit before withdrawal" is widely used by fraudulent mixing and cloud mining services as well as some crypto gambling website.
2655  Economy / Lending / Re: withdraw from a site on: August 17, 2020, 09:17:30 AM
Hey! Whatever website, investment site or even gambling site that requires to deposit an "X" amound of bitcoin to be able to withdraw your winning or giveaways are most likely to be SCAM.

Secondly, I don't that think that any member of this community will try to lend you even if it's just a small amount of bitcoin due to rank barirer and your reputation. And yeah, you've got red tag.
2656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Credential Stuffing Attack on: August 17, 2020, 09:03:37 AM
It is very risky to use a username and password identity on various websites. It would be better if you use Google Authenticator as the 2nd safeguard. or use a cell phone number for 2fa.
Using your mobile number for 2 Factor Authentication (SMS Based 2fa) is the worst method possible as another security layer for your email or any other account as it may be subjected to vulnerable attacks such as Sim Swapping. It would be much better to have a separate device that is used solely for registering and storing 2FA account rather than using only 1 device.

Just a heads up though, make a habit of writing the backup codes that is generated before activating your 2fa security layer to avoid hassle in case your device was lost in the process. Otherwise, it will be a pain in the ass if you have lost access to your accounts with 2fa activated. LOL
2657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blackmail E-mails on: August 17, 2020, 06:23:01 AM
These blackmail email has been existing long time ago and there are numerous articles that was published regarding this kind fraudulent activities and it seems they are still propagating on the internet up until now.
[1] https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2020/04/scam-emails-demand-bitcoin-threaten-blackmail

Just make it a habit to change your password regularly to avoid unnecessary troubles when using the internet.

So my question is, Is this really a serious issue or just simple hacking incident done by a prankster and everything he said are all lies Huh?
Regardless whether these claim are true or false. One must consider taking precautionary measures to avoid unnecessary hacking incident.

Based on the timing of this spike, you may get one of these messages because your email was exposed in a recent data breach. The scammers may say they have access to your computer or webcam, or installed clever software to defeat you. That’s all talk. But they may really know one of your old – or recent – passwords, and they include it in the message to prove it. When you see that, you know it’s time to update your password on that account, and consider updating other passwords, too.

2660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [LEARN] LOGIC GATES and chance to earn merit. on: August 16, 2020, 05:39:42 AM
Although the abstract of this research seems to be vague and too technical for me as of the moment. Still, it's good to think that somehow our topic in this first semester will likely improve my understanding regarding blockchain.
The invention may be implemented on the Bitcoin platform or an alternative blockchain platform. The transaction includes a locking script which comprises instructions selected so as to implement the functionality of a logic gate, such as the XOR gate

Anyhow, these are my recent works regarding Logic Gate as well as implementing Seven Segment in two different simulation platform.

Platform used: Tinkercad

Platform used: NI Multisim
