Cold storage are bitcoin wallets that has their seed phrase and/or keys store offline and has never gone online before such as a paper wallet that is generated on an airgapped computer with its WiFi card, Bluetooth and other modules used to connect to external environment removed.

Hot or online wallets are online wallets, they are not secure like cold or offline wallets. Web, mobile and desktop wallets are hot wallets.

To follow up with the statement of Charles-Tim you can get your cold wallets or hardware wallets with this trusted website it depends on you if you want to buy immediately to make sure funds safe.

Code:
[1] https://trezor.io/
[2] https://www.ledger.com/

If you don't have a budget yet you can use a hot wallet which most of the members here use with the electrum, you can download here in their official website https://electrum.org/#download they have their mobile application too if you don't have a desktop or laptop yet. Another tip don't store your funds in an exchange and use as a wallet. Good luck to your journey.
2642  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest without predicting a time of bull on: November 24, 2022, 01:01:36 PM
If you want to invest a bitcoin you have a bitcoin this is 1:1 it depends on you how long do you take to hold those coins, people keep investing in bitcoin because they see the potential of it in the future not only just an investment, right now the market is sitting with the 15-20k market price and its ideal to make an investment and hold for the long term so you an make a good profit, some people want to wait for the lowering the price as we see during March 2019 that the bitcoin touches in 3k price if you are a newbie and don't have the knowledge yet in bitcoin try to understand the basic trading pattern so you can get an idea when to buy but if you are seeking for a long term its good to accumulate as possible. Always invest what you afford to lose.
2643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 24, 2022, 11:56:58 AM
Most of gambling casino is giving a lot of free spins to the player who makes a deposit with a designated amount also have designated spins as rewards but the free spins are just bonuses but it doesn't give the same value as your spins just like cents and those free spins more likely having a range from 20$ winnings I'm not saying they are giving with this amount but a possible average of winning, still ideal you have enough budget to play more spins to get a huge amount of multiplier, don't get rely in free spins only its just bonus deposit.

EG's new Dota squad for the next DPC season is finally revealed. It's already expected with so many leaks and some of the fans don't like the transition but I hope these players continue to do good after showing up big during TI.
Yeah, it's been expected. 2 from beastcoast + 3 from the Thunder Awaken. Well, right now we've also seen the announcement of Fnatic for this BTS season 13.

They're composed of:

1. Gabbi
2. Armel
3. Kpii
4. DJ
5. Jaunuel
Source: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=574433881349088&set=a.138922008233613

I've watched their debut match a while ago against Xerxia and they've lost.

This time they make a rotation which they swap Raven for Gabbi we know the combination of these players and how does Kpii make a good coaching, its been run for too long that DJ part of the fnatic they really don't let this player get into other teams, most likely in the SEA Tims and DJ are the really good position 4 player, this Fnatic seems like a new version of TNC before, also EG changes their player already so they tried to make a new changes like the OG did in their previous teams.
2645  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: November 23, 2022, 11:31:31 PM
I want everyone's opinion for this question. Can those bonuses that are truly just "baits" can also be called "scams"?

Casinos can choose not to give you anything. After all, it's paid entertainment.

But some might seem more bait-y especially if they force you to wager on the requirements first. On the other hand, some have no-sticky ones so you're free to wager whenever you feel like it

Its part of their marketing strategy that they can gain more number of players because of this event or feature most likely the new casino has really lot of events to get caught attention with their new players and after with that they will no make a fewer events and of course it's bring all the service as they can to their users so they keep playing on their platform.

If the player read those TOR and FaQ they don't have need to problem in the future most likely having tons of rewards and bonuses and make a win sometimes getting trouble because they want to instantly withdraw their funds.
2646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: November 23, 2022, 02:01:06 PM
Stable mental health is the key; it can prevent addiction, and you are right; losses and greediness will kick in. If we can control it, we will not be losing big. My greediness, mostly when losing or winning, has also been my problem until now. I will tend to be aggressive in the long run to get back my losses, or if I feel lucky, I will mostly go all in, but in the end, I will lose a lot. Gambling is really based on luck, but it depends on the game. Those games in the casino are mostly luck-based games, but card games are combined, just as with sports betting.
many have lost their minds due to gambling addiction. even those who say they use the technique in playing, when they get out of control, the strategy will not affect the outcome. all that remains is to bet on an outcome of our luck. just run the bet until our money runs out. when finished then exit. no need to feel emotional and want to beat the bookies. just come back tomorrow with better luck.

If you are a player with self-conscious and aware in your gambling activity there's a possibility that you could control your gambling habit because not all the time its okay to follow your guts to play if you are aware with that you can easily identify to your self that you are already playing with your greediness or just playing for fun, some of them take playing gambling seriously and continuously playing as long as they see their current balance in their wallets. For me if you not feel well already or having a good mood in playing don't make it so you don't commit a bad decisions.

Welcome to the bitcointalk community your crash game is quite unique to me because you are using an alien character with a car chase by the police and this crash game is so much fun but seems too hard to predict when get caught lol, also its good if your about and fairness is open for the public because its needed to create an account first before reading the terms and I guess its quite burden to the player so they have an ideal if they will create an account or not.
2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running a casino during crypto crash on: November 23, 2022, 09:43:43 AM
Most the gambling casino nowadays show the current pool they have which gives you an idea of how much money do they hold to prevent getting backup and also that's the reason why don't store your money to the casino if you are not actively playing so you are kept safe with those doubts with your self. Also, it is not mandatory or just optional to them if they want to show up the current funds they have, if you're going to you can check the addresses they have. I guess you come up with the idea because of the exchange ftx.
I have managed to Hold some coins in casino for years but the site is established and one of the most popular in this forum so I have no doubt that my funds will not be secure for long.
but that is a perfect advice mate that we should not put our funds inside casino houses for long time because there are also some that will take funds if not being played or deposited for long.

If the casino is already trusted and build a reputation already here in the community there's no.might problem with that but still at the end of the day this is not an ideal practice these kind of habit is only ideal to those players are actively playing so they don't need to commit a deposit and withdraw vice verse but if you use the gambling casino as holding your funds is not recommended and advise.
2649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much was your last big win? on: November 22, 2022, 09:44:00 PM
$100 I believe, is not much but I'm happy with that win as it does not happen all the time or even most of the time.

By the way it's coming from sports betting activity.

@OP,  133,337x on limbo, that's very lucky of you, I don't think I would win big time like that.

Actually most of the capital of the players is around $100 and below that is just a spare money that they are willing to lose so they keep playing if you have 5-10 dollars and manage to win a hundred still profit at the same time but imagine having a thousand dollar profit gives really a fun jump to celebrate with even me I didn't reach that number of multiplier just almost around $500 profit is my highest these past few months.
2650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 22, 2022, 12:56:16 PM
This is called gambling. High risk, high reward. When you saw that you were up by $700, you weren't satisfied and thought you could make more profit. You decided not to cash out your profit. So you were taking more risk to get more profit. But things didn't go your way and you ended up losing everything. Now think, was it worth taking the risk? How much more profit you would have made if you took the risk? If it was for like few more bucks, then no, you shouldn't have waited till the end and should have taken your profit. If it was like a few thousand more bucks, then yeah, I would say it was worth the risk since you initially placed only a $70 bet.

^^This is pretty much what are my thoughts about OP's situation. His initial bet, $70, is the key here. He was aiming to win 10x of his bet, and he wouldn't be fully satisfied with $389, or about 5x of his bet. $389 can't be a big money for someone placing $70 at once, so, you are trying to get what you really want, and you are ready to get nothing, and you don't want to stop halfway and get something which is not satisfying for you anyway.

For a small time gambler for sure this kind of amount is ready for cashing out for me its enough good profit because we know its gambling not all the time we have the chance to win twice or more at the same time in just one single game, sometimes this winnings can cause to brings back again with the 70 USD again as capital or less if op does not take a good run, but if you are a big time gambler and just a spare money and willing to take a risk its ideal to play more.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: November 22, 2022, 12:13:29 PM
Slots are designed to constantly "reward" you with small wins.... but if you look at the larger picture, you will notice that the graph are showing that the casino are gradually sucking all your funds in the long run.
The small wins are insignificant, when you compare it to the constant losses.... so it is very much like the theory of the slow boiled frog. (if you put a frog in a pot filled with pleasantly tepid water and gradually heat it, the frog will remain in the water until it boils to death.)
That is why people are saying..... If you continue playing, the house always wins.  Roll Eyes

That's how gambling works, only a small portion or few people wins the slot games and those are the lucky one who has a lot of time and money to play the game, I tried to track my slot games and the winning and losing total amount is just near to each other but still good profit I get and after that, I didn't play for a while just to get funds, that's why gambling seems like to only have afforded to lose a lot and risk, ideal to track those gambling activities if still ideal to play or losing too much.

Good day everyone I would like to update my wallet address

A better way to update your address is to sign the message containing the new address with your old address. Anybody who acquires your account could post a message saying that they are changing the address, but only the original owner can sign that post with the original address.

Without signing using the old address, here are the possibilities:

1. You are the original owner.
2. You are not the original owner, and you hacked the account.
3. You are not the original owner, and you bought the account.

Thanks for the information.
