1661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost bitcoins on: July 11, 2023, 12:16:58 PM
I read some old threads about lost Bitcoins ND this question has been on my mind ever since
If the lost Bitcoins were for instance recovered will the price of Bitcoin drop  because in theory it would affect the amount of Bitcoin in circulation which will lower it's price . I saw in those threads that lost Bitcoins are considered a donation to the Bitcoin network. so if my theory is correct then we should be happy those Bitcoins were lost.

Actually, it affects the market price if you buy or sell your asset it makes a price movement reason why you think it does not because you like in the small area only of the holders but if you are part of the whales and big company who is having a lot of money with their funds holding a different asset of cryptocurrency that's the time there's a possible huge pump or dump of the candles sticks. Sometimes these times are the reason why the bitcoin network are getting congested people keep selling their money and keep buying to grab the opportunity.
1662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 08:25:28 AM
Gambling  addicts also using a Bitcoin with their gambling games we are a in the web 3 right now so not only with the bitcoin but also with the other coins they can use as their investment. Actually most of the gambling casino still using the way of amount of the bitcoin for example the deposit is in BTC and not in the dollar currencies so if the market goes up or even down their coins may varies and not fix as dollar rate I've seen this a lot so they can use their money as investment while playing gambling. Seems the perspective the same as their investment

Discord Community Management? Does that mean jobs are offered for you for Moderator/Admin, or something like that?

I faced the same case 2 month+ ago, the difference is for (Discord Account) not BTT. It's for (Mod/Admin) jobs, the scammer targeting people who at least moderated a project and shared a phishing/scam.

I am wondering are @OP going to be responsible for the fund loan by a scammer, and need to repay it. Or is there some other solution/discussion between @OP and the lender for these cases?
--
First time to see, session-hijacking.

I also active in Discord most likely in NFT too at the same time, I'm a moderator for a project. With the issue, my goal currently is at least pay shashan, I ask also LoyceV to put me a neutral tag to prevent this might happen again. For other members also recommend to use a notification with your telegram or more likely safe with the gmail connected with your account.

Since it takes 24 hours to delete a post, everyone should make it a habit to check post history every day to avoid something like this.
Only a few boards (such as Services) have the 24 hours rule to delete posts. The Lending board doesn't have this rule.
Theymos created https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php to keep track of access to your account. An attacker can't edit those records.

Is there any chance that this 24 hours rules might implement in the lending section not only for me but for the sake of this possible case scenario?.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game Winner Result Changed After 24 hours (Defaulted) on: July 09, 2023, 11:23:28 PM
I've experience this before that there's some issue it's seems like Frankfurt Major in that time I can't remember what tournaments name but that game the providers makes their bet to their wallets so there's no bet really happen. If the management of the game decided the winner and still the game is currently running on the platform they will consider those as match winners.
In some point could be included in the ToS of the platform they already known this instances could happen so already included in here.

~~

Seems like there's a lot too not only me as per checking the date its 6-30-23 and in my case the incident starts on 7-06-23, I guess before taking loan they must need to raise up a Signed / Verified address before accepting loans, and the same time hoping in the future have another layer of security in the forum too. This guy is lucky only have ~400 USD and mine takes a thousand USD just to clean my name here.

@CryptoHFs sorry for the DM the forum does not load properly.

@LoyceV Can I have that tag too that I will never take a loan here in the community.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual bug? on: July 09, 2023, 06:05:47 AM
I work for a casino house a couple of years ago - I could make a serial reference since it's been said in most of my post here.
Alright,?? Cashiers were assigned to manage the activities and book on desired games for all validated customers, but i normally noticed something very displeasing - sometimes, I felt bad for any gambler that lost in that same way and It looked to me like a kinda "money heist" program.
Here is it; A gambler could bet on correct scores - mind you, this all happens only in Virtual games - let's say, 3-0 and, since the games are being displayed on screens for them to confirm Thier winnings, it could even happen that the game stops at the 82nd minute, maybe with a 2-0 score,but once it rules out and updates the scores on the score sheets,.what we all see is 2-5...
Now the question is, how can 5 goals from the away teams be scored in barely a time to blink?? Could that have supposed to mean something different? Maybe a bug? Or is it some sort of misprogramming?

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

It's on their system verification with the API came from the games they are referring to, its ideal if they you will made a report with the outcome of the game, I experience this before with the e-sports betting which you can wage or bet in your item or inventory that time after they mistake the record on the game they immediately fix and check the result that process the winnings but if they will not at the end of the day you cannot argue and they will just return your bet so you cant do anything just to follow their decisions.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 05:21:33 AM
I wish I could have posted this in a more better place but since the thoughts came from gambling addiction, I thought it wise to ask this question over here and I hope we can discuss and get this straight.

Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.

Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?

Gamblers not only win the game with just 1-10 games it takes a lot of games before they manage to hit a very good amount of jackpot that's why could be classified as gambling addiction, the gambler can be just playing if they want or in their leisure time and sometimes on this they cannot fulfill their day that they cant gambling, also there's gambler willing to do things just to get satisfied even though financial status and assets will use just to play gambling. Gambling is all about risk if you cant manage to play gambling with a higher risk you cannot gain a large profit.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 09, 2023, 04:39:48 AM
For this referral bonuses, ive seen before that Pmalek created a thread you check it out here. List Of Crypto Casinos with The Best Faucets before I knew only with the freebit.co, also recently the blackjack.fun release a campaign related to a referral bonus, as you can see on the list there's a BC.Game which is they are offering a huge amount of rewards that you could join. For me referrals is not a waste of time if you know a lot of gambers want to play and you can get a percentage to their deposits or even a rewards that might hit you a good amount of profit.
1669  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone Loan using My Account on: July 08, 2023, 02:06:09 PM
It's pretty weird what happened. Could you describe in more detail what device you are using and how someone was able to hack into your account? Did you have a simple password? Is your mail intact? I think that the hacker who got into your account purposefully went to take out a loan. And maybe it could be someone from your environment, someone who knows you.
Have you seen the IP address change?
All these questions will help you and all other users understand what went wrong with your login to the forum.

Before, there was a link sent to me for discord community management, the sender have a link makes a redirect link to other page and the message sent multiple times so i suspected immediately could be an attack, I immediately cleaned my PC for possible preventive attacks, I got confident by that time but my mistake too I didn't change my password, my email are on my PC but not in my device itself that notifies the information of my account, I mislook before that there's a change of wallet address in my profile, I thought I just paste my other address so I ignore this.

LoyceV recently give the IP addresses as I suspected the unknown user makes a move since he make a loan Date of 7-06-23.

Seems like this person lurking around first in the bitcointalk community and checking my activity before committing this trouble.

I think I have also seen a similar case although this one was spotted fast by the original owner before the loan was accepted.

Op it isn't a pleasant experience having to pay for money that you had no idea how it was spent and that has brought some curiosity to my mind to know how they were able to gain access to your account; like how often do you log in your account in a different device? Do you frequent those funny sites? like the ones that offer free downloads for apps or software meant to be paid for, Do you use mod apps? I just wanted to know if there's any activity you have done recently or in the past that could have resulted in those hackers getting access to your device, as it could help others avoid making such errors.

~~~
That is very interesting info, but we need also to keep in mind that it could be another hack unless otherwise confirmed...
I'm not sure if @mdgabrielzim uses a Telegram bot, but if he does, he should be aware of this thread. To be safe, I think sending him a PM would also be nice, just in case he doesn't use any notification tool.
Only every morning before i go to office i check the forum and message if there's any translations i need to revise, and also after going to work, I didn't use any mod apps i know the possible malware they can inject with those free software. At the end I don't want to ruin my reputation here even though its too painful to pay that amount.
1670  Economy / Reputation / Someone Loan using My Account on: July 08, 2023, 10:21:57 AM
Good day!
Dear All,
This morning I saw a neutral tag given by Shashan related to a collateral loan I didn't commit. I know this reason can be skeptical to others. My mistake was that I overlooked a message sent to shashan during my inactive time.
Quote from: Shashan
This unknown user continuously makes a comment to Shashan's thread that I didn't notice because if someone messages me, most likely I open those immediately to check if there's a revision for the translations I made. But the user keeps deleting the conversation, which is the reason why too late to catch them up. Also, Gmail is not linked to my phone, so I didn't receive a notification about their conversation, and shashan showed this to me. My account password didn't change seems like I experienced a DOM Attack.
Quote
Quoted below is the address I'm only using in the forum.
Good day everyone I would like to update my wallet address
A better way to update your address is to sign the message containing the new address with your old address. Anybody who acquires your account could post a message saying that they are changing the address, but only the original owner can sign that post with the original address.
Without signing using the old address, here are the possibilities:
1. You are the original owner.
2. You are not the original owner, and you hacked the account.
3. You are not the original owner, and you bought the account.
Thanks for the information.
This is my old wallet address
I will repay Shashan but not on the designated date given to the loan; every time I receive a payment in a Signature Campaign/another source of income, I will deposit this immediately to Shashan's Address as repayment for the trouble created by that hacker.
I created this thread to be aware that I will only use the quoted and signed address to prevent this from happening again. If someone receives a request not with this address, please don't entertain it. I changed all of the password related to this account.  After noticing this issue of that, there's someone can access my account.
1671  Economy / Economics / Re: Automating your savings will help you save more on: July 08, 2023, 08:25:30 AM
AFAIK, banks do have this feature for automating your savings or even the payment of your bills. Well, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not. With what I mean by that is when you're in need of money but then the automated feature gets in and you're no longer able to alter it. However, it's still your bank and you've got the control with everything that lies within in. It's the discipline that's helping you out using this feature and then if you're able to adopt it on your own, even without such features, it's within your head and practice.
For automating deduction we called this Auto Debit or most likely people seeing as ADA in the finance world, another thing here is its good to deduct automatically because you don't need to mind if you paid your bills or other things manually because they are already supported the use of it, even in the e-wallets too they are using the favorites feature that you can easily pay and at the same time save your extra money. This will let you learn how to manage your money properly because the remain funds are the once you can use for your survival daily.
1672  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 08, 2023, 07:40:55 AM
Loans are always a knife. If you do not have a steady source of income, it is very dangerous because it is difficult to control being caught up in a loan that you do not have the money to repay. Although it is possible that many people rely on a loan to be able to start a job as well as create a new journey, But that is because they create a plan in advance and have calculated risks, whereas many people, I find, borrow money for no reason at all. Simply satisfy your desires, so don't try to borrow money without a really good reason, because otherwise that knife will ruin your life.
Even millionaires are taking loans it depends on the person who takes those loans if you are taking a loan because you want to buy something which is a liability you cannot make it pay easily instead, you are suffering to your debt, but if you are a person who have a good intention with the funds for example for the creation of assets you can now easily manage to take back those loans as cashflows this serves you easily to pay with the use of the assets you made those are the one who pays with your loans. Use this mindset to prevent yourself being greedy with the tons of wants you want to have.
1673  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: July 08, 2023, 07:10:25 AM
When you have money, you can do a lot. Your life appears beautiful and effortless, you can command and rule the masses. you can be who you truly are without worrying about anything. Anything you say is definitive, regardless of whether it is correct or incorrect. Money also gives you more confidence and a voice of your own than your peers or people older than you that don't have money.
That is why people work as hard as they can to ensure they are successful financially in order to avoid social discomfort and avoid being treated disrespectfully by others
I agree, money is the medium that can buy the basic need of people.  It is also the most important in creating development since a government cannot improve its infrastructure if they are lacking in budget.  Money in the current time is the one making the world move.
Money can give a person authority and power aside from comfort and confidence.
Money has the one and power in this world if you don't have a money you get lesser chance of opportunity but if you have a lot of money you can take the risk if you want because you have a good cahflow and backup money, you can use your money to make and create a connection into other people, invest, travel and other way that makes you satisfied into this world. Some people says that money cant buy happeniness but for me in reality but can buy happiness but does not buy loyal people around you.
Good day to Shahan,
I notice I got a neutral tag and there's a quote below that I loan a 1000 USD and that i didn't do this I always use a BTC, not even into Altcoins Please check my DM
1675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you dare to pawn your bitcoin? on: July 07, 2023, 11:57:29 PM
It depends if the pawnshop accepts the use of bitcoin because some of the countries does not support or even implement the adaptation of the Bitcoin itself, if that so they still support I can use my bitcoin for deposit but in that case scenario for emergency only imagine you sell your bitcoin for a smaller price and we know how does the market volatility of the bitcoin works at the end of the day for me its a lose case scneratio for the long term goal.
I don't think anyone would do something like that to pawn Bitcoin in a pawnshop, if you are the type of person who believes that Bitcoin will be worth 100k$ each, it would be a stupid thing to do to pawn it in reality.
Maybe someone will make a Bitcoin mortgage at the pawnshop and if the pawnshop agrees, this person probably does not have enough deep knowledge about Bitcoin, this is the only reason I can see.
I am not entirely sure if even pawnshops accept bitcoin to be fair. It's like going to a pawnshop and giving 100 dollars and asking 50 dollars back in exchange and hoping that you would do better in the future. If you are willing to part ways with your bitcoin then smart thing to do would be selling it, there is literally no difference in that at all.
People pawn their items because items are not currency, it's not easy to move it around, it's not easy to sell them, you can't really sell your items that easily, it would be quite tough. So, what could you do? You would be able to actually make a big deal out of it by just pawning your items and getting them back with hopes that it won't be sold until you get back, but currency could be used everywhere anyway and bitcoin is a currency.
that is true, there's no need to pawn your btc. just sell it and buy when you have the funds. why make your life so complicated with these things. this is why i don't like many crypto lending apps, they will ask for collateral and then you still need to pay for the interest. so why not sell directly your crypto? think of the trouble that you're going into if you will use these lending apps.  at least, you don't owe anyone as you are using your own funds.
If the price of the bitcoin will goes in an uptrend market and you make a collateral with your bitcoin lose at your end that selling partial of the bitcoin so the profit cames from the price movement can be use as payment.
1676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kyc for accounts or wallets on: July 07, 2023, 11:11:01 PM
The wallet does not have a KYC but the exchange has. Seems like you are referring with the exchange in your statement. Exchange use only to change your coins or fiat currency into crypto currency and this not serve as a wallet people want to use the exchange as wallet so they can bought immediately a coins they want once get into the dip but at the end we can not deny the exchange can do anything they want and if they want to close or rug they can take our funds. Reason why we didn't encourage the exchange as a way of wallet. You don't have the private keys.  It's their money not yours until you have the full control of it.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 07, 2023, 04:44:51 PM
Does your country has a restriction with the cryptocurrency if there's nothing you can freely safe to operate with your cryptocuttrncy and additional with your business. As we're saying that your country has a low GDP seems like the bitcoin is not yet introduce at your country or not part of prioritization they will keep ignoring the bitcoin. People will not adopt unless they will get benefit on it. On that case even you want to get to know more about bitcoin if the people in the community don't want to agree or support this it's just a waste of time.
1678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Education and money as the key to Bitcoin adoption. on: July 07, 2023, 03:53:01 PM
If you will explain to the people who are just new with the word of bitcoin they get ignore those because they don't know how does it works and what are the benefits of it but once they knew something that caught their interest they can now easily caught their attention because it's their ego to want to learn more. There's a lot of data in the internet just a click away to get the specific answer to your question reason so you can educate your self what are the perks of using It so you don't get left behind.
The best way the poor can buy Bitcoin is to look for a way to buy Bitcoin and keep in their wallet? So how will the rich buy their own Bitcoin if not the same exact way? When you have an income problem you can only fix it by getting a better job that pays more or enough to cover all your expenses, that's when you will be able to put aside some money for investment.
Bitcoin is not for the all people it's ideal only for the people who have the opportunity to have it. Poor people surely use those money to survive and not to create an investment. With the people who have a budget they can still survive plus their extra money can do an investment to risk.
1679  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: July 07, 2023, 01:29:42 PM
In my point of view, the popularity of bitcoin never reduce the interest of people in stock. There are equal number of people who have an equal interest on both bitcoin as well as stock. There is positive connection between cryptocurrency and stock markets. The correlation between the price of cryptocurrencies and the stock market has increased over time. Bitcoin is giving people an investment alternative because before bitcoin this kind of flexibility was only use to offer by stock market.
Some of the rich people really don't want to buy bitcoin because they don't have transparent regulation in their countries. Therefore, they prefer stocks where everything is transparent and clear on the payment of taxes with profits received on the stock market.
Perhaps such recent statements will open the way for big money to enter the bitcoin market.
If that so why not grab the opportunity to make stocks at the same time its all about the investment and profit at the end of the day, people have become hyped with bitcoin or crypto already because of the different possible ways of earning and easy to buy and not too much complicated to check the chart and open an account. Not all countries too supported the use of Bitcoin so it could be against their country's law with sanctions. Bitcoin want the cryptocurrency because its easier to ride with market volatility than stocks that takes time to check the market.
1680  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: July 07, 2023, 12:00:01 PM
I know everybody is not in a same class but still we all do budgeting, expenses and impulse. How much do spend a day? Do you think is possible to program your daily expenses?
If you came from a really low class society its too hard to get expenses to your wants its all about your needs, you need to survive at the end of the day. For food, shelter, clothes, and etc. as part of the basic needs of the people the reason why its so glad if you are part of the middle into high class society you can save at least. Well back on track I came from a normal life having a small amount to spend for food and all the needs I always manage my money with the ratio of 50:30:20. 50 percent for the savings, 30 percent for the daily needs, and 20 for my wants, seems too high for the savings but at the end of the day its a good situation for me to have emergency funds. We don't need to buy and expensive things all the time there's a cheaper version of it and have the same quality so you are just buying because of the brand. Be wise today.
