Head fake confirmed?

We are testing both ends of it.

Isn't this so much more fun though?  Than the last f*&*^ 3 years? Smiley

And I keep saying it... the more reasonable the rise, the more sustainable it is.  I would say we need to get used to this sort of thing for about a year!

Next difficulty retarget is ~ November 2, 2020.

I predict there will be a LOT of miners coming on right after that.  And we will see some faster blocks.

HoDLing Bitcoin and getting rich because of it is not luck.

Luck is when you buy a lottery ticket for $2 and win millions.
Luck is when your father is Jeff Bezos.
Luck is when you inherit some lost uncle's fortune.
Luck is when you happen to be outside when the building collapses.

When you are a normal person, with a normal job, and you risk investing your savings (which took years of hard work to accumulate) in Bitcoin, and slowly build up your stash by adding to it whenever you can, and HoDLing strong through years-long bear periods, all because you believe in what Bitcoin stands for, and see how disruptive and revolutionary this thing is, and then it goes to the moon and you become "fuck you" rich, then, no, it's not luck! It's using your brain and your ability to see the future, not because of some supernatural ability, but by believing (or, even better, understanding) the tech and the mathematics & science involved.

This is who you are, HoDLers:

Edit: Corrected typos.

You guys, yes.

I started playing poker for bitcoin in 2011, and my nature is to hoard my bankroll.

For me?  At least some of it was luck Smiley  If I was that smart I'd have had a LOT more of it...  But I ain't complaining!

I mean... just look at it.

I am gonna be so proud to tell my grandkids that I bought back in March of 2020.  Heehee.

Hey kids... I told you I posted about you before you were born!!! See it?!??!?

I am prepared to see one after we breech 14k (for the daily) and one after we breech 20k similarly.

Could be wrong.  But there's probably a lot of action that will pour in after both of those zones.

I feel if we blow through one it will be 14k
2649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 27, 2020, 08:59:23 PM
Umm I just noticed something... and it's kind of ON TOPIC (?!?)

The order books get REALLY REALLY thin with any offers over 14k.

It's hard to read this next chart, but basically look at the bars.  over 14,400 they get really dwarf-y.

Another way to say it is once we get over 14k there are only a few hundred BTC on the orderbooks between there and an ATH.  Well, I do not know for sure what's over 18k... hmm.

But you know what this means?

I'm starting to get that 2017 feeling again. I can feel it coming.  Cool
I was not here in 2017 but now I can feel its really great to have time like this again because things changing very quickly in positive way for us and many others. Grin Cheesy

Oh, you are in for a treat.

I do not know where Proudhon went, but I feel certain he could confirm, scientifically, that we are about to see a very large "Inverse Bearish Spike Indicator".

我之前和他谈过,他从“消息来源”确认中国再次禁止比特币

已确认. 鄂源

You guys... we are about to take out the lower high that was set after the last parabola.

Let that roll around for a moment... which is about all the time we have, I think.

From a technical perspective, what do you think happens when we close at a higher high than the "dead cat bounce" after Bitcoin died back in 2017?  Not even thinking about the overwhelming fundamentals currently.

Just stop and try to think about the number of bank execs, fund managers, and other financial illuminati who are meeting RIGHT now somewhere in the world as they notice there is a powder keg with a fuse almost burnt all the way down...

FAIR WARNING: BobCoins will likely be entering play near $16K USD/BTC.

I've decided for certain, I'm rescuing Rick from wage-slavery at that price, and giving myself a small bonus, after tax withholding. Expecting it within the next 30 days.

Not likely to take significant profit for myself until around $25K USD/BTC or so.

Damnit... we will have to wait for the next halving then, I guess.

(That's very kind to Rick.  I look forward to joining him. Should not be too too long at this point.)

Yeah gotta say that I am loving the strength of the bulls right now.
Nothing is gonna stop this train straight to Carolina.
(I am being too exuberant?)

Nope.

I wouldn't mind Moneristo, but:

Well....  'risto'

You gotta admit.. there is a little poetry in that.

It's a limerick... but that's poetry, right?
2656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 26, 2020, 10:10:40 PM
I am starting to wonder if White House Market is influencing Monroes price somewhat. I mean something has to be driving this. It's been sustained for a little too long now.

I believe Maximalists (a larger percentage) are finally getting it through their heads that bitcoin will never be fungible and are taking appropriate steps.

This is also a possibility.

I have been saying for six years that Monero and Bitcoin have a symbiotic relationship not a competitive one. They do distinct things.

Honestly, the atomic swap implementation, if done well at all, will be a game changer bigger than the gui, multi sig, etc. Lol.

-EDIT-

Looking at all alts today it's a bloodbath... looks like stonks.  I would really love to see this become more common and less anomaly.  We will see. Smiley

Am assortment of coins which I find interesting for various reasons to follow... Only two of which I have a meaningful... Well nevermind that. In fact I almost posted a shot of the third column.. teehee.  Anyway what do you think of that?

One other thing...

Stonks are getting hit by a meteor today.

Bitcoin?  Just a speedbump.

Again.

This seems to be a drop on moderately low volume.  The years of bear market we all just were ground through like hamburger were just the opposite.  Weak volume on buys with bigger volume on sells.

For now we have flipped the script, and it is looking like it's gonna go the other way around.

And the really good news, in my opinion?  The longer we go with nice healthy 2 steps forward, 1 step back type gains, the higher the eventual parabolic run is gonna go.  I have learned to love the punishment, lol.
