It seems that JP Morgan's leaked document is authentic. It was posted only on twitter by Dan Tapiero as an image (I know someone shared it here, but I repost it for convenience):

https://twitter.com/DTAPCAP/status/1319703750450302980

After that he posted another one:

---------

Who would have thought that one of the biggest sources of Bitcoin FUD and mockery would make such a sharp U-turn? It is as if I'm reading some post from one of our WO hodler members.  Shocked If JP MOrgan predicts incoming 100K price target as a minimum top for the next cycle, what can now say the pathetic trolls who pretend to have some knowledge about science and math?

The implications will resonate worldwide. The banks can't pretend to ignore Bitcoin anymore. They will have to study more seriously both the technology and the free market and start facilitating Bitcoin's use by their clients. Like what is doing Bitwala for some time. And as a part of this process the symbolic Bitcoin ETF should be expected provided some big company like Grayscale makes a good proposition. No wonder the inflows to the exchanges in the last days are so low, despite the highest price in 1-2 years! Big expectations create a self-fulfilling prophecy. What can I say? Be careful with the pizzas! 0.1BTC spent for something that is not so necessary now, will be be worth > $10K very soon!  Wink Remember Laszlo... and mindrust!

found it on reddit. the usual exchange trick I guess. 80k btc is unfathomable.. Smiley

it's just numbers... I can easily understand 80btc, 80K is just 1000 times more.
Like a weight of a big size human vs a smaller (young) guinea pig. I can dig that.
At some point i was doing mental calculations of various objects and/or timelines comparison.
My favorite is this:

You know that little silent flies flying around oranges and apples (they are called fruit flies-one of the favorites in genetic research).

One day, while shopping at a grocery store and seeing those flies and pondering about life I made a calculation that the proportion between that fly body weight and a male body weight of, say, 75kg, is almost exactly the same as a proportion between the 40 year person lifespan (maybe I was 40 then, the history is silent) and the age of the Universe (13.6 bil years) is roughly the same (almost an exact match). Since the fly is a clearly visible macroscopic creature, maybe our lives also have some meaning even in comparison with the lifespan of the Universe.

We are visible even in such time-frames.

for those who want to confirm my calculations:
fruit fly weight is 0.22mg (2.2X10^-4g); universe age 13.6X10^9 years

About mindrust, on a serious note, I just can't understand why he did what he did. I would expect such panic selling from a newbie, someone who doesn't know much about Bitcoin, like my mum & dad maybe. But the picture I had of mindrust, was of a seasoned, experienced player. And sell 10 BTC @ under $4000 a piece to get what? $40k? Does that justify losing the chance of a lifetime?

Fair amount of wo'ers were buying during that crash or posting memes but mindrust was trying to time the bottom with the help of Masterluc.

I came back to WO today (with post, not simply read). Enjoy WO gang!  Tongue

What do you think of these charts?
  • How about the impacts of unemployment rates on price of Bitcoin and gold?
  • How about the impacts of pandemic on unemployment rates (in USA)?
Please make your own data interpretation with your trust on validity of those secondary data (data collection methodology, data cleaning and data analysing, etc.)

There are delayed (lag) effects on the pandemic and the unemployment rates. When the unemployment rates skyrocketted, bitcoin already rallied in V-shape. The announcement of the pandemic was made by WHO on 12 March 2020.

  • BTC: daily close price
  • Gold: daily close price
  • USA. Unemployment rates: monthly data

It's cute how they assume millennials will "become over time a more important component in the investors' universe" as if they don't own just 4% of US wealth (down from over 20% the boomers owned when they were as old as Millennials are now). I guess it's easy to grow from (near) zero.

But they're right about one thing: if Millennials somehow manage to scrape by enough cash to invest a few pennies, they won't be investing it in JPM stocks Wink

He was (is?) a true Masterluc disciple, that should explain it all.

Fair amount of wo'ers were buying during that crash or posting memes but mindrust was trying to time the bottom with the help of Masterluc.

Yeah, I forgot about Masterluc... It's sad really... Instead of reading the White Paper and understanding the tech and its implications, one blindly follows a fortune teller with a crystal ball telling him what to do.

BTW, what a nice-looking 5-minute chart! Smooth, gradual, healthy growth.

HoDL.

Let's be real... we all know Jamie Diamond balls was talking out of both sides of his mouth for years!
I remember in 2014 JPM had an ad for Blockchain programmer jobs in NYC...
The big banks always lie and buy and FUD and when they have their fill they "feed the homeless" or the small retail investor working for minimum wage a McDonald's !
I have been saying this for years and it's documented... I could write a book like that dancing dude on here but it's not worth my time and who cares anyway!
