What the hell?
I go away like 4 months and half of the "big" forum users are already gone?
Sad Sad

Don't be. Most turned out to be scammers unsurprisingly.

Tried it and it says my address is not valid? It is accepted everywhere else.

What's your address? It's possible other place you're using aren't doing validation on Bitcoin addresses.

Not had any problems anywhere else with this address.

1PYFk1eKFhKd6UA1Gp5wkusd63mTdshpqP

Have you tried recharging it?

What's recharging mean? Still a newb at this stuff.

A bitcoin account may loose its charge if it was used to often for receiving without sending. It upends the delicate balance within.

What you'll want to do is copy the wallet.dat containing that address onto a USB stick, then shake the USB stick vigorously for about 3 minutes. This will restore the appropriate balance by rearranging the electrons.
2643  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: April 3 BFL ASIC update. on: April 06, 2013, 10:20:15 AM

That's so they don't have to honor long-term warranties. The pre-orders were all for Jalapenos, Little SCs, SCs, and MiniRigs and come with "lifetime" warranties. Lifetime being as long as the product is in production. Now there's a new line of products. All those "lifetime" warranties are now 1-year warranties.

This. Remember this when your BurnFireLight rig turns into a smoke machine.

I can't recall a single person calling Avalon a scam? Who are you referring to? Or do you mean BTCFPGA?

As I do. Donate for brickology research, people. Better bricks means better houses and a safer quieter neighborhood. Well, after the screaming stops at least.
2646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi! BitCoin Fully Decentralized Hard Asset Backed Bank! on: April 06, 2013, 02:45:01 AM
I am soliciting donations for a fictious project where I offer consultation to failed scammers and by "offering consultation" I mean hit their faces with bricks. Fictious ones of course.

Yeah, but how was the poutine?
2648  Other / Meta / Re: List similar topics before allowing new threads on: April 06, 2013, 02:26:41 AM
Most people that start new threads on a topic are completely aware that other threads exist discussing the same topic.

The reasons they start another topic are manyfold:
- they are not happy with the way the discussion evolved in the existing topic - or -
- they want to make absolutely sure that no one misses that new development they have just discovered (even though the same thing has been discussed for hours) - or -
- the more threads you start, the bigger your e-peen.

Disclosure: You are Atlas

Reason:

Quote
I can change these rules at any time and will do so in OP (Original Post, the one you're reading)
the state of the OP at the time of claim is decisive for the rules, so please quote OP when claiming bounty

It doesn't get any more Atlas than this.

Be quick, "Robert", if you run outside and wave real anxiously, they might stop and... wait, what the hell does Canadian police even do, invite you to some poutine?

2651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I withdraw my deposit? on: April 05, 2013, 12:44:11 AM
You'll have to contact pyramining ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=57643 ), as far as I'm aware it is not easily possible to withdraw funds from pyramining before an account "completes", whatever that means (I haven't read much about this particular scheme).

Well, for starters it would probably help to mention WHERE you deposited this.
2653  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinjedi / betsofbitco.in SCAMMERS: Declares "Push" on obvious win for BFL bet on: April 05, 2013, 12:31:48 AM
Shouldn't you at least pull all of the false ad Josh is running right now?

What's false about them? I tend to think that BFL will ship at some point.

The ads running on the forums mention product specs that BFL is no longer offering.

They've specced down all of their products earlier today.

On it! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167585.0

Thanks. I misplaced the term for that tactic somewhere in my brain. "Bait & Switch", "Bait & Switch", "Bait & Switch" Gotta remember that.

2655  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Where is the difficulty in creating an ASIC? on: April 05, 2013, 12:26:45 AM
Ok maybe you misunderstand... I am coming from a business point of view.

So these ASICs are actual custom chips that have to be created from schematics? In this digital age of computers and technology, you are saying that now other chip in the world can do similar operations as the chips Avalon and BFL have supposedly created from scratch?

Of course other chips can do the same operations. A 1000 times slower and less efficient.

So, they changed the price on something they don't sell!!! Interesting!!!

So they are selling more expensive air? Wow what a surprise!  Roll Eyes

Access to the adress is via a key contained in your wallet.dat. Shred your wallet.dat and the key is gone. Even if you knew your adresses still, you couldn't access them from a new wallet.dat, as you're lacking the keys.
