2641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 27, 2021, 01:39:04 PM
If Jake is so fond of boxing, he should train more and do more amateur boxing fights, instead of moving to professionals or having exhibition matches. If he posses himself more like a youtuber, then he should to say loud words about being greatest or be able to knockout anyone. He can knockout anyone on the street, but that is more about luck.
I don't hate Jake Paul, it's an exhibition fight, anyone can fight as long as you play the rules which are obviously different compared to professional boxing. Some fans maybe hated exhibition fights as it's taking the opportunity of the real boxing fights since people now are willing to spend money just to see a meaningless exhibition fight, but it's their right, it's their money so we have to respect them too.
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 27, 2021, 01:23:36 PM
Jokic is still questionable to play in this game but I think he will come back and play.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nikola-jokic-might-be-back-for-ailing-nuggets-vs-bucks/

Turns out he didn't play, and I lose this bet. Moving forward, here's my pick again.

Game: Phoenix Suns vs Brooklyn Nets.

I think the win streak of the Suns will stop here, they are going to play a back to back game while the Nets came from a huge victory against the Celtics. With one day rest, I'm sure they are ready against the Suns and they'll try to snap that win streak.

Therefore my pick is Nets -2.5.
2643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Facts about gambling addiction on: November 26, 2021, 01:15:15 PM
People do things all for the sake of getting money, most times men fall into this.
We all get addicted if we are not disciplined in gambling, and being unrealistic is one of the main reasons because we thought making money is easy which in reality not the case.

It's better not to start gambling at all, those well disciplined will gamble and know the do's and donts...some are just too adamant to carry out a plan and strategy successfully.
I don't disagree with that, gambling is not bad, it gives entertainment and a chance to earn money, however, some people are just too undisciplined that they don't know how to control themselves, hence resulting in heavy losses that they will regret after.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 26, 2021, 12:30:31 PM
We have an early game coming, so better bet your ticket now.

Game: Bucks vs Nuggets.

Jokic is still questionable to play in this game but I think he will come back and play.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nikola-jokic-might-be-back-for-ailing-nuggets-vs-bucks/

The nuggets are in a long losing streak already, 6 to be exact, so I think they'll be desperate enough to break that winning a game at home.
Nuggets' home record is 7-3, I think that's a decent record and I believe as long as Jokic is back, they'll win this game.

Therefore my pick is : Nuggets +3.5 and ML.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 25, 2021, 08:02:48 AM
Good thing I manage to break even despite the number of upsets that happened today.
Me, I would never be break even because I only bet one game per night. I lose my Celtics bet, no the game I like to see but it's okay because regardless of how the Celtics lose it's just equivalent to one loss.

Great job on the winners, I love the winning betslip being shared.
2646  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far will Bitcoin price correct? on: November 24, 2021, 11:42:45 AM
There are plenty of reasons why we expect a drop in price this month to next month.

Some of the reasons are, investors are taking profit for the year-end, and too high selling pressure that would result to dump. The hype is probably over as although we hit an ATH this month IIRC, the price still resulted in going down opposite to our expectation that it could go as high as $100k by the end of the year. It's very unpredictable now, but regardless, I think we should be happy because we can still call this year a bullish year even if bitcoin will drop to $40k.

Let us always be realistic, we must be open for a possible dump or huge correction to come.
2647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 24, 2021, 11:04:18 AM
Therefore my pick is Celtics -12. GL!

I had one day off but let's continue the win streak. lol

Game : Nets vs Celtics.

Still beating on the same team that gave me a win last time.

I know that the Nets are a great team but I could not bet against the Celtics who have won their last 3 games at home, so the home court is a huge advantage here and I'm confident that they'll give the Nets a tough game and beat them.

Therefore my pick is Celtics ML.
2648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Tax holding back bitcoin from going to the Moon on: November 22, 2021, 09:44:51 PM
Tax is normal, and capital gains tax is only paid when you sell the asset, so if you keep holding bitcoin until you are satisfied with the price, you will be able to sell it at a good profit with less deduction (taxes). We cannot evade taxes anymore, it's part of the government system and we are all required to pay for it regardless of how much profit we make, so these holders are making sure they make a lot of profit before they sell it.

For some, they are smart enough to do the right accounting to minimize the taxes, maybe if you are holding a lot and you want to minimize in paying a taxes, seek for help from an accountant, they know for sure how to make it possible.
2649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 41% of people globally say they trust Bitcoin over local currencies on: November 22, 2021, 09:11:11 PM
41% is a huge number if you take the whole population.

I find the title of the thread a bit misleading, hehe. It could be "41% of 11 000 people globally say they trust Bitcoin over local currencies"...
It's like a clickbait and I did click it thinking we have this huge number already because I still believe that 5% is even a huge number entirely.
2650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next stop $85K for Bitcoin on: November 22, 2021, 08:26:54 PM
$85K seems like a likely goal. $100k is too optimistic for the end of the year.
At the rate at which Bitcoin is growing in speed and popularity, Bitcoin must be 100 by the end of this year Will pass. Many experts say that Bitcoin will be recognized as the number one popular currency in the world in the next 10 years.

Yeah, I know that everyone is expecting a huge $100k at the end of the year.

But at the rate that bitcoin is growing this past, maybe there will be people that are going to doubt if we can really hit 6 digits or not. Currently there is a huge barrier to $60k, and the closer we did was $59,200 and then the price goes down again.

Sitting at $57k, it will be like x2 growth in more than a month before the end of the year. Not sure if this is still achievable.

It's tough, and it's needed a big hype before it can go that way, unless flowing money comes around and brings new investors. Though many still optimistic that there's a strong bull that will help to make another rise. $80K still possible with how people react when market suffer from small fall. It's showing that there are more positive investors who believes that the market will bounce back.

This short correction shakes those who are trying to make quick profits. Instead of gaining, they are forced to sell with losses.

The hope for $80k is slowly going down as bitcoin is not bullish anymore.

Currently trading at $56k, I guess we need some big news so people will get into FOMO again.
We are entering the last month of the year, we need to finish this year strong with a bullish price but $80k is highly unlikely within a short period of time.
2651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 22, 2021, 01:00:27 PM
As anticipated, more and more CEOs of giant companies and wealthy private individuals are already indulging about crypto. I mean, even before crypto became quite famous as these days, they have invested already in secret manner. It's not that they will brag publicly that they've invested on it, and others are silently joing the movement while others are using their fame to slightly control the value, I guess you know that already  Grin

And now, the CEO of Apple choosed to invest in crypto as a part of diversifying his portfolio. It's a great news and it made a positive impact on the market.

Some maybe keep it silent but those who are already known for their wealth do not have to make it a secret because we already know how wealthy they are, just like Elon Musk. Aside from that, announcing to the public that they have invested in crypto, will add more hype and we know how it would positively impact the market.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 22, 2021, 12:22:46 PM
so I will take the Warriors -7.5 against the Raps.

Another win, let's make another one.  Smiley

Game: Celtics vs Rockets.

This is the only game I find easy to cap..Rockets is a team that always loses, my only concern is what if they'll cover the spread? But no.... I won't be bothered by that because this team has no courage to win and I think Celtics will beat them like how they did with the LA Lakers.

Therefore my pick is Celtics -12. GL!
2653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 22, 2021, 10:59:45 AM
The development of crypto in this country is unstoppable, the government alone invested in bitcoin so they will do every promotion to increase the adoption, and they will show as a model that a country could adopt with bitcoin and it will help to grow their economy. I'm expecting that more good news will come related to El Salvador.

They already required a KYC a long time ago, you are lucky your account is not yet locked.

2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 22, 2021, 07:57:05 AM
because based on Nonito's last fight, he still have that power to knock out anyone.

That was exactly the reason why age should not be considered as a disadvantage for Donaire.

Remember that he's the one who gave Naoya Inoue his first cut damage on the champion's career (a cut above his right eye) and the first boxer to make Inoue struggles to win.

Gaballo surely knows that he's up against the monster. I'm looking forward to him giving Donaire a tough match.

Both of them looks tough that is to say the fight is gonna be tough . Let me not just conclude the fight in looking in appearance,  because  sometimes what think about in appearance  is not what really come true. But won't miss to watch this fight.
It's not totally based on the appearance only, it's based on their record and how they beat their past opponents.

What happened is, Donaire had a clear win against Nordine Oubaali as he knocked him out early, while Gaballo is coming from a controversial split decision win against Emmanuel Rodriguez, and he has not fought an elite boxer before like Donaire.
2656  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: November 22, 2021, 07:03:23 AM
"I got my investment back, rest is pure profit" mindset.

I always have this kind of mindset, but sometimes when you lose your profit, you would also feel bad as you could have taken that money out and invested it somewhere less risky than crypto. As an investor, I don't only focus on crypto, instead, I look for other forms of investments and even business just to minimize the risk and that my cash flow would continue in case crypto will collapse.
2657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 21, 2021, 09:51:47 PM
The man that made his name known when he took over Steve Kerr as interim coach of GSW was fired on his third season at SAC https://www.nba.com/news/report-sacramento-kings-fire-coach-luke-walton-after-6-11-start His replacement will probably have the same fate hehe. You cannot really do much as a coach when your general manager sucks at picking the right players. I just found out that they had the chance to land Luka Doncic or Trae Young.
Walton's another coaching journey is over, this is not good for his career, and though he was not officially fired with the Lakers before but it still looks like he was fired since the Lakers aren't really doing well under him.

Lakers ‘Mutually’ Part Ways With Coach Luke Walton
This looks like you are asked to resign or you will get fired.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 21, 2021, 09:20:20 PM
Game : Warriors vs Raptors.

I think Curry and Green will come back from rest and will be available in this game. Raptors is a decent team, but The Warriors playing at home would always dominate, so I will take the Warriors -7.5 against the Raps.

I'm in on this, Warriors are currently the best team in the league no doubt.

With Klay Thompson's imminent return will they be unstoppable again ? Playing defence against Curry is one thing, but having the splash brothers would again be another.

Hopefully, Klay Thompson will be back soon.

Curry is leading the team with good chemistry with his teammates, that's why this team is really dangerous and they have nothing to prove anymore, so I'm confident with my bet. If they beat the Nets on the road, there's no way they can beat the Raptors at home.

Good luck to us!
2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 21, 2021, 08:45:53 PM
Houston Rockets added another on their losing streak and it is now their 14th loss. Some games are within reach, some are not.
Yeah, it looks like the Rockets management did absolutely nothing during the offseason. As far as I know, the Rockets lost 20 games in a row in the previous season, and it was the longest losing streak in the Rockets franchise history. So I won't be surprised if they set a new anti-record this season.
What else we can expect from those rookies, Rockets managements are not doing anything to improve their competitiveness.

Without any good trade, this losing streak will continue, and it's possible to break the last
record for this franchise in having most losing streak.

For now, the team is doing what they can provide. It's the management to play their cards in
bringing decent players into the team.

They weren't the same team when Harden left, now, they realize how important Harden is and they have to make sure they'll find a way to make this team a playoff contender once again. John is still with the team, I think they are looking to trade him soon, but they have to make sure that it's someone that is healthy and could help the team to bring back its competitiveness.
2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 21, 2021, 12:04:33 PM
With the fight that is less than a week to finally come, I think we should bump this thread.

What do you think about the statement of Kambasos that Lopez was scared of him?

Quote
‘He’s scared of Kambosos’
Kambosos’ upcoming opponent Teofimo Lopez wasn’t spared the Aussie star’s fury - with Kambosos insisting the American had been running from their matchup.

He believes that it’s not just him, but also other fighters, that think Lopez is avoiding the fight.

“You’ve got the undisputed 140 pound champion of the world Josh Taylor in a recent interview saying, ‘I think he (Lopez) is scared of Kambosos, I think he fears him’. And obviously, Devin Haney said the same thing,” Kambosos said.

source : https://7news.com.au/sport/boxing/george-kambosos-jr-slams-triller-promotions-for-mishandling-boxing-unification-megafight-with-teafimo-lopez-c-4591049

I didn't expect that the fight is fast approaching and the long wait for it is almost over. I still put my hope for Kambosos though Lopez seems silent yet well prepared. Kambosos is underrated but lots of people are also betting on him. I do not doubt that it will be a tough yet exciting match this year.

Because they believe in Kambasos and the odds are very attractive. Kambasos will take this as a big opportunity to make a name in sports, if he wins this fight, he can be a superstar in boxing as Lopez beat Loma, so it's like he beat the 2 boxers or shooting 2 birds in one stone.
