Prices up at @0.0003 on Cryptopia

Just bought some cheaper TOR on C-Cex to exploit the difference Smiley

it's just awesome to see every tom, dick and harry getting into gpu mining. i guess when eth goes hybrid POS and difficulty gets parabolic combined with price crash. I'll be waiting with wads of cash to buy up their GPUs. And by the way i won't be surprised if zcash ASIC gets announced making gpu mining move to lower cap shitcoins, which should also collapse when this entire altcoin frenzy is over.

Bitcoin scaling issues won't be resolved - at all.

As long as this issue persists and it will persist because the community will never agree on a solution that would fix this (or brake it) the alternate crypto market will keep receiving an influx of users and their capital.

2665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in GPU mining? on: June 10, 2017, 08:49:11 AM
Market Cap is irrelevant.  Yes GPU mining will die very likely before the end of this year for those paying more than 10 cents a kw.  The reason being the constant flood of new miners coming online is rapidly increasing the difficulty of all the coins.  If it weren't for the rapidly increasing prices, it would be dead already.  The simple inescapable fact is that gpu mining depends on increasing coin value to sustain profitability.  If prices stop rising, difficulty will still keep increasing for a while, profits will plummet, anyone paying more than 10 cents a kw will be losing money.  Ebay will be flooded with high end video cards so you will be lucky to get back 10 cents on the dollar of what you paid for your rig.

It will happen.  There can be no doubt about it.  Maybe not this month, maybe not next but the current boom times will definitely end.  I think it's optimistic to hope to maintain profitability through to the end of the year, but we might be lucky.  Those who got set up a few months ago, have done very well.  Anyone building a rig now I reckon has at best a 50/50 chance of getting a ROI.

Well, ROI is 3 months, so basically if it remains profitable until the end of the year, I'll be in deep profit  Cheesy

I have been paying 9-12 c/kwh since 2013. In the winter months (nov-mar) it is 0 c/kwh since my home is heated with a giant resistor, and this offsets that.

Aint you a lucky one Smiley

I was hoping you were gonna say 20 c/Kwh.  Then there might be some hope for those of us without such cheap electric.  But yeah like I said, unless you got cheap electric, it's never gonna be a profitable business in the medium to long term.

Outside North America and India and China, we are stuck with high electric going up dramatically every year.  Sux to be us Sad

20c/kwh :O
That's just what the fuck, how do people live with those prices xD
I always thought electricity in Croatia was expensive, and it's 0.08$/kwh during the day and 0.038$/night
Since value of USD is fluctuating, it varies, Croatian Kuna is a lot more stable
USD is currently 6.62 HRK
0,52602 HRK from 7-22 (summer) and 0,25764 from 22-7
During winter it's 7-21 and 21-7, so an extra hour of cheap electricity

Basically, average daily price during the summer would be 0,4253775 HRK per kwh
So that's around 6.4c/kwh

Tor coin drop in the last few days but I believe it will increase increase the price in the future. So if you want to earn a lot of profit after that you buy tor coin and hold it for few months or few years only and for sure you will earn a lot of profit after this. More investor to come. I hope the next Update of Op it is good news for eveyone.
i think the dropping will continue until the android wallet being develop (as per OP) is being launch, after the launch, the price will catching up again.
the integration is another issue but the explanation is beyond our capacity and i believed the OP is doing his part to address them all.

My thoughts exactly.
As soon as a new wallet is released prices will go boom and we'll have some mad coins  Cheesy Cheesy
2667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in GPU mining? on: June 09, 2017, 05:09:41 PM
For the GPU's I agree, unless you are patient and buy them one at a time. Lots of cheaper mobo's that would work, ASUS Prime Z70-A / AR for one.

Should of known about it earlier  Cheesy

Just ordered the last RX 470 for 330€

So my total expenses are 3087$ without fees to zazarb, all4btc and wirex I used to order most of these things.
Let's say the average fee was 4%, my total is 3210$

A lot, a lot more than I thought when I started this
But anyways, I'm hoping for a quick break even.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in GPU mining? on: June 09, 2017, 10:50:01 AM
@ op how much did you spend for the six card setup?

300$ for ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0
65$ for 9 Risers
1068$ for 3x rx470 (+50$ for shipping forwarding from Italy)
1070$ for 2x gtx1070
256$ for hx1200i PSU (+ around 25$ probably for forwarding the hx1200i from United Kingdom)
53$ for 120 gb SSD
56$ Intel Celeron G1840 Processor 2.8 GHz
25$ 4gb RAM
20$ fans, zip ties, rubber, grid..

I found a local ad for an rx470 pretty cheap, so I planned to buy that one as the 6th one
However, no one is yet answering so I'll probably have to purchase +1 online.

Anyways, so far total is 2718$ and I have to order one more GPU.
+ I paid around 70% of the orders in bitcoin which adds up around 4% fees on average, which would come in total over 2800 USD

Wow, you paid top dollar for that mobo and all the GPU's. The same rig here would cost less than $2000 if you bought it right.

Everything is out of stock currently, only way to get equipment is to pay high :/

Posts like this are the reason why most dice sites these days are reducing faucets or getting rid of them completely.

As far as I know there is no sure strategy since the house edge still applies to you on faucet. Back in the day in 2015, when the PD faucet was big most played the faucet at 80% and just risk the entire balance when it got slightly large and then just tipped another alt-nickname and eventually met the min withdraw, which was very small back then and withdrew the amount.

Back then PD didn't care because BTC wasn't as high and there was less abusers.

Well, the fees weren't so big so they could afford sending those transactions  Cheesy Cheesy

@OP

Just collect and keep the Satoshis as in 10-15 years 1 Satoshi might be 1$
If I kept my faucet satoshis from 2013, it wouldn't be really small amounts
Nothing too big, but solid coins
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: June 08, 2017, 07:39:43 PM
I do not gamble to much but it always seems that when I do, I take the loss big time.  For example, I have lost over 3 BTC in the BustaBit game online.  It is fun and I like to play but I always get greedy with it.  I have won about 2.2 BTC back, but I lost more than what I have won.  For some odd reason, I keep coming back over and over.  I do not know why I do it, why do you?

You keep going back for just one thing alone, to recoup the monies that you lost but you will eventually end up losing more and until that cruel cycle breaks. In the end you may become addicted.

Could not agree more with you mate! That is really the sad part of it. We should only go back playing just for fun with the money that we can afford to lose and not really playing regularly. That way, we will not be hooked and addicted to gambling.

Out of 100 people, 70 people will go back again to get back there lost in gambling. In rest of 30 people, they come back again for having fun and someone to kill free time. We can not say a daily player will addict to gambling and the occasional player will not addict to gambling. The time and money will decide that they will addict to gambling or not.

It's all about the charachter of the person, nothing else.
If he wins or loses may only contribute to what he already is, if a person has charachter around some things, outcomes won't matter in changing them.

This is pretty cheap

I guess I could buy it to build a case.
However, I'd need to find someone selling the angled aluminium, since waiting 2 months for them wouldn't be an option Cheesy

This drill can't even open i don't know, anything.. it's for children toys section, don't waste money on that one.

Hahaha

Well, buying a good drill for one time use isn't very practical Cheesy Cheesy

I would think that it would be pretty time consuming to record every one of your transactions manually.
There should be some sort of tool that does this automatically for you.

I think something like this already exists for trading, so it's not impossible to make something like this.
Well yeah I agree that the automatic updates will be very good in terms of time saving but I consider this idea a good one until you don’t have anything to record your transaction in soft it is better to do it yourself manually. I appreciate it for two reasons.
1. you get to know about your games and it is easy to identify your limits to you.
2. it will be helpful in bringing a discipline into your life.
I think the disciplined people are more successful in life then those who don’t plan to do things.

I completely agree with self discipline.
You dont' even have to track your bets, if you know how much you deposited and how much you withdrew from the casino, it's very plain to know your stats  Cheesy

However, yes, if you're regulary gambling on multiple websites, it might be confusing keeping everything in your head.
So essentialy it's good to bookeep everything Cheesy
2676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: June 08, 2017, 07:24:04 PM
I agree diversion is sometimes the key to forget stuff that we are hooked to.  But I do not agree that to replace a habit is to replace it with another activity.  You can quit a habit if you decided to quit it, else whatever activity you try to replace that habbit if you are half hearted, you will never replace that habit.  It needs decision, determination and discipline.

I have tried diversion as well but it is hard to replace this addiction with something else. Instead of trying too hard to change it to another thing, I choose to keep playing just with lower amount. I have done this for quite some time and Im happy with the result, I still play but atleast I dont have to lose alot anymore
I have tried that before and It makes me less addicted to gambling and If I lose I am loosing a bit amount of bitcoins. I am playing gambling til now because addiction is unstoppable in me. I dont know why I cant give up gambling but its nice that I reduced the addiction I have.

Ofcourse you're gambling less if you keep losing  Cheesy Cheesy

Is there a website where you could make the website freeze your funds after crossing a certain gambled amount?
That could draw in the addicted gamblers  Cheesy
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: June 08, 2017, 07:18:17 PM
Gambling is a game that you either win or lose.It is good when you profit always not a loser.Theres a gambling that i will become an early millionaire,I will wait for that because I believe that this is not a scam they never get cash out.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand you.
You think gambling is not a scam and people get paid out or?
2678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling experiences : before and after bitcoins. on: June 08, 2017, 07:12:57 PM
I never had an opportunity to play online Casino gambling games before I know Bitcoin.  I am a person who from the start hate banks so I have no life in online transaction because banks is needed but when I know about bitcoin and get involved with it, I had explored the online world with transaction and then later Casino games.
Actually, before we don't have more access to the online transaction. When this Bitcoin arrives that time also many people not use in this online transaction. All like only fiat transaction. I also don't have any knowledge of the online transaction and me afraid to use online transaction because if anyone hacks my account, all money will be gone. When I start to learn about this bitcoin, then I started online gambling. It is easy and safe.

Relatively safe.
It's as safe as you make it to be.

Are you happy with your bitcoin gambling ?
I feel I am into gambling so intensively only after bitcoin introductions. Before that I bet on few sport betting sites, but not with the frequency how I am currently doing. When ever I see some profits, I do see bitcoin gambling as a blessing but losses makes me to think about quitting using bitcoins too.

Even I restrict myself only for free of cost gambling, after sometimes of gambling, I go for adding bitcoins from my wallet totally out of control. I was not like this when I was gambling with fiats. How about you ?

For me, bitcoin actually intensify my interest in gambling because I had the interest but outside online I cannot really play it simply because of the society in judging those who engage in it are nothing to write home about. But with bitcoin coming into the picture, it actually begin to manifest what was inside of me as I do the playing at my liberty without anyone prying into my affairs and judging at the same time.

For me it was actually the peers who wanted to go betting, not the ones who would judge it Cheesy
Therefor I'd bet less online, however larger amounts Tongue
2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Monero? on: June 08, 2017, 07:09:41 PM
Hello friends,

How think if I start Gambling site use only Monero.. is this good idea or not?

Thanks.

i think its not a good idea as i don't want to use monero for placing a bet because for me, monero is too expensive to buy and only use for gambling. i am prefer with dogecoin because dogecoin is still cheap and its no need to waiting for a long time to deposit and arrive in my account.

I never understood people who say X is to expensive to gamble with

Like, what the fuck  Huh

You're playing in the FIAT equivalent, how can anything be too expensive to gamble with o.o
2680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do N00b gamblers "Level Up"? on: June 08, 2017, 07:05:31 PM
Thus, we ask you: What advice would you give to a novice gambler to help them "Level Up"? We will take your input and add it to our Newbies sections.
Every gambling site has their own level up rules depending on the wagered amount and such.If by leveling up you mean level up as a professional gambler then things are different and subjective.
->They can start to level up by not playing on a scam site and researching on a website before they blindly deposit.
-> Tell them to not be butthurt and waste time opening scam accusations when they lose.

The second one is pretty legit Cheesy

The first one wouldn't make a lot of sense since they're betting on their website xD
But it's a nice tip to make a friendly contact with the customers
Not a bad idea actually

Also, don't forget to add, don't gamble with what you can't afford to lose Smiley
