2661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 26, 2021, 09:37:31 PM
How long have you been hodling a particular coin while the coin has been making progress for your profit taking and yet dropping in your eyes ?

We can't generalize people's approaches toward holding a coin because not all have the same strategy.

If they did it "that" way, then so be it as it's effective for them. The same goes for other strategies.

In other words, we should just mind our own business and just focus on determining the right time to buy or sell. Not all are having the same view about "hodling".
2662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Better to Hodl or Stake your Tokens? on: December 26, 2021, 09:34:08 PM

We are all ended up with a different result because our strategy and approach are different from each other. Why not test both and see the result for yourself? I see that you are not new to that kind of system making it easy for you to do some tests.

If you see someone getting profits from hodling or staking, that's because they are able to apply their strategy properly. The same result might not always happen in your case so create your own and see if it's effective in the long run.
2663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 26, 2021, 09:29:06 PM

Shawn Porter says Errol Spence Jr. has more power than Yordenis Ugas, but he could lose

Shawn Porter shared his thought regarding the expected bout between Errol Spence Jr. and Yordenis Ugas next year 1Q. As he experienced fighting both these boxers, he was able to measure the weight on who's gonna likely win. No doubt, Spence Jr. was considered that have a power advantage but not closing a book right away that Ugas might have a chance to snatch a win.

And he quote "I’m actually convinced he may find a way to beat Errol Spence Jr,”. Let's see about that.
2664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 25, 2021, 11:56:03 PM
^^ Not to be a hater, but we've seen too much of the Lakers in this season already. And there's no improvement whatsoever. They can't even pull a string of victories to really give us some hope that the chemistry problem has been solved already.

LeBron James even admitted that there's really a chemistry problem but I don't accept the reason. He pointed out that they didn't know each other that's why chemistry is not yet formed properly.

There are lots of games already they played this season that was supposed to be enough to test their chemistry but still, it failed so what's the problem now?

It's not that only the Lakers do have a new set of the lineup. They really need to think outside the box to solve that chemistry issue.
2665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest in a possible Bear market? on: December 25, 2021, 11:53:25 PM
What is better to pour your assets into in a possible bear market? Is it better to keep them in stableconies or not leave the market and pour funds into more stablecoins?
Personally, I prefer not to leave the market, but to transfer assets from tokens to tokens.

Actually, the best approach depends on you. Since you were able to give constructive feedback on what you see on the market, you end up with that opinion. Now with your plan strategy to see if it's effective, it's necessary that you will give it a try and see the result for yourselves. Investment in crypto should always have a serious approach.

Sometimes you will really end up testing lots of strategies before you can find an effective one that you can use for the long term. Furthermore, soon you can hit the perfect strategy. Just keep going.
2666  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: December 25, 2021, 11:50:13 PM
Holding has always been  profitable . Holding is just like investing for a long time and thus always come out with a profit only if the investor can be patient to hold the coin. Holding is also a good way to invest cryptocurrency.  Both trading and investing is better.

There should be a footnote on that. Holding is profitable but it depends on what coin you are holding.

It's been always hype for any project to just hold their respective coin expecting a good price increase in the future. Others don't realize that if things are just easy as holding, we should now don't have a problem approaching the question of when to buy and sell.

Holding is good but make sure what you hold is really worth holding for a long period.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 25, 2021, 11:47:16 PM

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to watch live. The reason is a strong hangover due to a drinking session after Noche Buena. We got finished drinking after lunch on the 25th. Damn, until now as I'm posting this, still not feeling well.

Also didn't able to watch it on a Livestream. As I checked the result, Magnolia now finally end their losing streak in the Christmas game match-up against Brgy. Ginebra. Watching the highlights, Magnolia is draining shots even contested contrary to what is happening on the Ginebra side.

The majority of Ginebra's key players do have the worst shooting night except for Tolentine. Expecting Coach Tim to just always include this guy on their starting lineup.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satisfied what you gained with altcoins in 2021? on: December 24, 2021, 01:37:22 AM
Cryoto market was bullish from at beginning of this year and hit most of ATHs. still i can see, altcoins recovering themself and keep increasing. Almost each and every altcoins performed/performing well and it is expected that, everyone has made satisfactory gain in this year but there are also someone, whose's luck doesn’t flavour on those. Well so do you think, you are satisfied what you gained with your altcoins in 2021??

No need to rely on Bitcoin being bullish for some altcoins to give profits to you. Taking advantage of the price swing as always as holding and waiting for the price grows shouldn't be always the thing to do. IDEX so far is the one that gives me a decent profit this year to my altcoin list. Able to take advantage when the price is around 200 satoshis then constantly swinging to 500 sats with a peak at 800 sats. It's one of the good candidates to consider for short-term trades.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 24, 2021, 01:25:23 AM
Watching the game between Philadelphia and Atlanta currently Atlanta in the first half has a really big lead over Phila. Phila just cannot hit anything currently from the field while Atlanta is hitting most of the shots. Phila needs to step up hard to win this game honestly.

You can also apply that to Atlanta Hawks. After that big points lead entering the 2Q, Sixers was able to make a rally and the game was tied at 51-51 entering halftime. Both teams outscored each other in the first half and that's a good match.

I was thinking of betting on Sixers in the live bet early when Hawks was in lead. The odds for Sixers rose to up to @2.5 to win the game. Now back to square one as they tied the game and Hawks now again in their underdog odds @4.7.

Live betting should not really be associated with hesitation lol.
2670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 24, 2021, 01:12:59 AM
The best feeling is when you are watching it live. Well, I believe that if they reopen, the tickets will be expensive, and not everyone will be able to afford them, so we will have to watch on TV, which is still great, but in person, you can feel the crowd yelling and the intense emotion while playing.

Believe me, mate, the ticket is not that expensive as you think especially for an elimination game regardless of who will play. Ticket price boost only starting from playoffs but more noticeable during the Finals.

The Upper Box section is enough for a budget meal and unlike what we saw on the screen where that section is almost far from the court, it's not the actual view in Live. In Upper Box, you can have a clear view of the players on the court. Smiley
2671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Expectation About Polygon (MATIC) Token for 2022 on: December 24, 2021, 12:53:47 AM

Despite Bitcoin is still currently in the effect of its first dip and more likely to be lasted for long creating a series of bearish speculation in the crypto market, MATIC seems to perform against all odds, and just several hours ago, it recorded another All-Time high @$2.74. What an amazing journey from $0.003 to its current price within just 2 years.

MATIC growth is also not because of pure hype. If we will refer to that price performance, and the fact that the dominance is strong even Bitcoin was swinging in between $47,000 - $50,000 this week, MATIC daily volume is great.

To conclude my fearless forecast, MATIC will have its new ATH at $5 within the whole year of 2022. Not expecting too much but just sticking with a realistic price that can happen.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 24, 2021, 12:28:11 AM

Live Betting between Orlando Magic vs New Orleans Pelicans

Orland Magic has impressive wins against Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks in their last 2 games. They are the underdog on that match but still managed to snatch a win at these much dominant teams. As of typing, they are behind at 9 points with 2 minutes left in the 1Q. With that, their odds to win on that game has boosted to @3.85. Seems a good bet to me as I think they will soon catch up. I will not wait for an extra time and decided to place my bet now in anticipation that they might cut the lead next quarter resulting in slightly decreased odds for them.

Hoping they will upset again another Favorite.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 24, 2021, 12:18:19 AM

The thread has been moved to Off-Topic for I don't know the reason.

Compare to other boxing match speculations, the fight between Errol Spence Jr and Yordenis Ugas is more realistic and likely to happen. That's why it's an interesting subject to discuss with. Almost a done deal and just needs to be finalized. The fight is also expected to happen between March and April. The topic is not involving boxers whose next fight is unsure and will end up in guesses like who's next for Terence Crawford and so.

The fight is not also a typical title match. Several titles are at stake.

Errol Spence finalizing three-belt unification against clever Cuban Yordenis Ugas who beat Manny Pacquiao
Errol Spence Jr., and Yordenis Ugas are finalizing a deal for a welterweight title unification fight that will land in March or April on PPV
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 23, 2021, 11:59:31 PM
Yes, he is in good shape but Logan Paul is also in good shape. What I can say is that may the best boxer wins, in that case, I think Mike Tyson is the best boxer based on his previous fights and good record in boxing career, while Logan Paul is just all about hype as he has not proven anything since there's no win in his record yet.

There are reports that Logan Paul is having a continuous drinking streak every night and just enjoying his social life. He is not doing a practice nor putting a serious training regime. I don't know if that's true and still looking for a good source to verify it but the way I looked at it, it's likely true.

No catchweight, no winners, the fight is still unofficial, how can we even put an analysis here even it's an exhibition match.

The fight is still hanging in the air. We can expect "true" progress likely next year now.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 23, 2021, 11:59:15 PM
So what's the point? I think they should allow Irving to play even not vaccinated.

About those states who imposed a restriction that only vaccinated players are allowed to play in-game, NBA has nothing to do with that. It was a legal context. And even they will allow Irving to play, it won't happen.

I'm not just so sure why Irving is still out of the game wherein he can play outside those regions. Is it really his team's decision or Irving himself is totally not interested to play because of his ego.

Anyways, there's already an update that he will now come back. Let's wait then although for now, it's uncertain.
2676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember yearn finance (YFI)?? on: December 22, 2021, 11:48:36 PM

DeFi seems not on the hype right now so we can't expect if any related project will have the same hype as before.

As far as investments are concerned, I can't really suggest putting money on it but the final decision will be yours. Maximized and enhanced your DYOR. Try lurking at each of their community group and try to check the pulse of the speculators there.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 22, 2021, 11:43:51 PM

We will watch the Manila Clasico PBA Christmas Game. Actually, that will be the 4th time that I will watch a PBA Christmas Game. It's been a while since I entered the Araneta Coliseum. I miss watching a live game without a commentator but only the cheer of the crowd lol.

I remember sitting at the side of the team against Ginebra on a regular game, not Christmas. Our group is only a few cheering on that side. Cheesy

Anyways, I will share some pics here.
2678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino account ban cases on: December 22, 2021, 11:35:56 PM
In recent times several users from this forum have complained about the account being banned on most of the casinos, so am prompt to ask what caused this situation sometimes the fault is from the casino site, and other times it is from the user itself.

You can check the reason or any related information if you see some thread discussing specifically that. But as far as my period of staying here are concerned, I didn't see "most" users being banned from casinos. Can you share some posts if you can dig some?

For reputable casinos, I can bet that there might be a case but has a good reason. They won't harm their reputation for random banning. For new casinos that seem untrustworthy, likely there's always a case of being an account suspended without any explanation.
2679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My coins percentage down on: December 22, 2021, 11:30:19 PM
Even though the entire cryptocurrency and none crypto assets on the stock market price are down currently but the level at which my various altcoins portfolio crashed backward baffles me, please can anyone explain for me how the altcoins market works.

As far as performance history is concerned, when BTCitcoin is quite dipping, the majority of altcoins also follows. That's how powerful the impact of BTC price movement is on the crypto market. When BTC is now on the rise, some altcoins also follow "BUT" it doesn't mean the majority will.

There's no specific explanation about that so I will say that check the performance history when BTC is either on a bullish or bearish trend.
2680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 22, 2021, 11:15:17 PM
I am not talking about crap coins or coins "du jour" that are hyped today but seem to fade as time goes on like chainlink seems to have done. So what legit coins do you see blossoming in the future long term? i am interested in investing in them.

Everyone has each definition of "legit" so maybe you can elaborate what do you mean by it. There are people who consider a specific coin as good to them but not to others. Try to find your set of factors.

To give a few of my best coins to consider, try adding BNB to your portfolio where what would be the reason should be obvious.

ill add another question on top of this one, is matic and solana hype coins today that hot today but not tommorow?

They become hype but it does make sense because these coins have fundamental use-case, unlike those other coins that just got hyped because of price speculation. However, no one knows what will happen in the future therefore we can't conclude everything if the same hype will happen again.

You really need to take action in order to see the actual result of your plan. Risky as it is but that's how investing in crypto works.
