2661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: September 28, 2017, 07:29:00 PM
My only concern about banlera is the number of BNKs to be issued. The hard Cap is 25 Billion of tokes, being 17,5 Billion to circulating;exchange market.  When comparing to other cryptocurrencies with same circulating amount, it can be a problem.

What do you guys think?

Rgs.

It won't be a coin flying to the moon on day one. But it has a dividend stream attached to it so if revenue grows, the rise could be considerable. But it will take time and patience.

You know.... HODL.
2662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: September 28, 2017, 04:04:37 PM
Bitcoin (and others) will promote the 'coordination' between people better and will thus lead to more efficient allocation of scarce capital. This will make our economies more efficient and less prone to boom/bust cycles. But it will be very boring to some people.

2664  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-28]PBOC Media: Bitcoin and Blockchain Should Be Treated Separately on: September 28, 2017, 03:10:24 PM
To me, the token forms the incentive to sustain the blockchain. How would unrelated parties be incentivised to upkeep and sustain a blockchain without a reward? How would transactions be limited and protected from abuse without (token) fees?
2665  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-28]PBOC Media: Bitcoin and Blockchain Should Be Treated Separately on: September 28, 2017, 02:23:04 PM
How is a blockchain supposed to function without a token?

Interesting idea. All will depend on this coin getting any traction in the market.
2667  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-26] Ex-Fortress Billionaire: Crypto Market Will Be 'Largest Bubble of O on: September 28, 2017, 05:53:01 AM
Like was said: you will want to 'own' this bubble. Just get out when things get ridiculous.

And on the larger time frame, the bubble will come and go but meanwhile critical cryptocurrency infrastructure will be build. This is not going away soon.
2668  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [09-27]'Wolf of Wall Street' Jordan Belfort: Jamie Dimon is Right About Bitcoin on: September 28, 2017, 05:50:19 AM
His statements are different than Dimon's: much more nuanced.
2669  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-27] Vitalik Buterin Explains Flaws in ICOs and Scaling Issues in Eth on: September 28, 2017, 05:48:27 AM
On scaling of the ETH network:

Quote
Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum co-founder comments:

“I would say two to five, with early prototypes in one year. The various scaling solutions, including sharding, plasma and various state channel systems such as Raiden and Perun, are already quite well thought out, and development has already started. Raiden is the earliest, and its developer preview release is out already.”
2670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: September 27, 2017, 09:08:08 PM
Does anyone remember what the price of EOS was during the ICO? Also, why hasn't dan or the team released any kind of news or have I just not heard about it?

It was $0.86 in the first round (round 0), see https://eosscan.io/

Dan released a few news updates last month (by e-mail) and informed us that they are somewhat ahead of schedule.

The last 10 floor to floor Bitcoin doublings since Nov 2012.

Average doubling time: 6 months
Shortest doubling time: 1 month ($20 to $40)
Longest doubling time: 18 months ($80 to $160)

$25k will be a Breeze. Yes, you can quote me on that.

@Wekkel

how did you calculate the 2,6%?

Invested amount * weekly ETH payout in $ * 52.
2673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: September 27, 2017, 03:50:28 PM
Byeball is the same type of technologies with IOTA so I don't think it good to hold tight

If I understand you correctly, you mean that both coins are not worth holding?
If so, could you explain why?
2674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: September 27, 2017, 03:44:19 PM
The revenue share received this week equates to an annual interest rate of 2.6% Not bad for a token that has not been officially issued yet and with a business plan that still has to be put in motion.  We are merely at the start of what bankera is trying to achieve the next few years.

I expect exchange prices moving between $0.01 and $0.06 the first year.

game on!

gaming companies becoming crypto-banks, in-game currencies/tokens competing with fiat ... shit's getting weirder than fiction and the 'pros' don't know which direction the next blindside is coming from

This sounds just like an evolution of the Magic the Gathering -> MtGox cycle. No complaints if Willybot plays along as well  Roll Eyes

Because the market is dull at the moment, some reading pleasure: https://mobile.twitter.com/marting/status/910706119479246848?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fhackernoon.com%2Fmedia%2Ff55c1c16d2477c4e7ce3d54b81b9d4e6%3FpostId%3De794cf33c5b2

Can you hear that (mainstream) wave coming?

HODL everything.
2677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: September 27, 2017, 05:21:04 AM
I have some Giotas that I've been holding and now it looks like it's going to be very difficult to sell them. Bitfinex is out, because I'm in the U.S.  The slack trading channel is dead.  I once did a trade with escrow through the bitcointalk iota trading thread but that thread is now dead too.  YDX requires an invite.
Where does a guy go to trade?  I'm not going to use a vpn and lie to bitfinex.

Perhaps Bitsquare has some IOTA offers?

Anyone else not receive any coins from the 2nd airdrop?

Also waiting. The list of PMs to work through is probably immense. Just have some patience.

I must be one of the last in the 2nd Airdrop and hope the Dev finds time to finish the complete batch.
