2661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly Decentralised? on: July 25, 2020, 06:07:35 PM
Whats this Original Bitcoin and this BTC? Are they different coins with different visions at the beginning or there was a hard fork or something?

Is bitcoin or BTC truly decentralised? Who registered the domain name bitcoin.org back on 18th Aug 2008?

Does Japan have any archives or medical records of Satoshi Nakamoto? Japan is always known to be a advanced tech country so surely there must be some trace of Satoshi electronically or on paper trace if hes really old. Whats Japan authorities saying on this? Its near impossible to just vanish without trace in these times of technology where your traces are easily recorded somewhere unless Satoshi was a hacker and wiped himself clean from govt. databases leaving no trace fearing the current Zionist worldwide financial system will come after him or something.

Or satoshi was born outside Japan? if not and if he was in Japan when he created bitcoin then why didnt he registered bitcoin website as bitcoin.jp instead of bitcoin.org? Japan is know to have the latest tech 1st before the whole world has it. For example Japan is known to have HDTV back in the 70-80s before the whole world had it like 30 years later! Also theres tech/inventions thats never gets released worldwide and only available in Japan.

Japan has its own economic inflationary problem so is bitcoin was originally designed for Japan and its population only?

Does Gavin Andresen still control the code at the code repository located at GitHub? Does he still have the Network Alert Key?

Gavin Andresen became the lead developer at Bitcoinfoundation.org

Final question who funds bitcoin.org and bitcoinfoundation.org and who funds the development teams at bitcoin core? Updating bitcoin core with latest releases takes time and money so obviously somebody is funding it or are they all just happy crypto geeks who are volunteering at this so called non-profit organisation for the greater good for mankind financially?

What happens if governments took down the github repository, and the .org websites associated with bitcoin and put all those geeks in jail as well whoever is funding it? Will bitcoin still run?

The Bitcoins itself is Decentralized , but there are few things that always come in the way :

1. Governments demanding KYC every now and then , wallet softwares making it very easy to Track them.

2. The whales usually connect with each other and try to influence the price of Bitcoins

3. Fake whale alerts are being created by people having a lot of Bitcoins , they generally transfer them from one wallet to another and inturn it may cause people to panic buy and sell.

4. Bitcoins Futures and the stock market taking interest in Bitcoins is not a really good thing since they are unnecessarily creating a middle man that is not necessary.

5. Governments seized many mining farms and thus they might be just trying to dominate Bitcoins indirectly.

                               -°-

For the long term it's actually not a good thing for sure . As you have your doubts so have most of the companies, we don't really know how it will go about but we can sit back and do out part , educate people about Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.
2662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: July 25, 2020, 04:04:41 PM
In these times of turmoil, Gold is reaching new ATHs in price. But Bitcoin doesn't leave behind, as it quickly recovered to its "pre-COVID" prices on the market. It's today where Bitcoin prices are relatively stable. With a limited supply of only 21 million coins, hardened security, and a focus on decentralization, Bitcoin is often viewed by many as the successor of Gold. One of Bitcoin's greatest benefits on top of Gold, is portability. You can virtually carry your Bitcoin with you safely when travelling, without anyone noticing. That's not the case with Gold, as you'd need to carry physical bullion with you. Other than portability, Gold and Bitcoin are very much alike.

Do you think that Bitcoin will be able to replace Gold someday? As we shift into the "intangible" world, people will "ditch" physical stuff in exchange for digital items. Bitcoin can become the new digital Gold which serves as a safe-haven asset (store of value) in times of need. COVID-19 will greatly encourage people to adopt Bitcoin over Gold as their next store of value of choice. Thoughts? Huh
Gold
Bitcoins
Fiat
Stocks
Etc...

All of them are separate markets and therefore some entanglements might be present they will never replace each other.

There are always people who will prefer one over the other and therefore your question : Will BTC replace Gold ?
-No

Few things to keep in mind :

Gold is more stable and less volatile
It's acceptable all around the world as a means of investment
It has both cultural and religious significance in many countries
It's prefered by women all around the world and even some men for jewelry and other ornaments

I would prefer Bitcoins anytime over old as a means of investments but it's not about our personal opinions.

2663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN-An Odyssey: SETTLING INTER-PLANETARY TRANSACTION SINCE 2050 on: July 25, 2020, 12:23:03 PM
I am in a Sci-Fi mood today and saw a topic about "Will Bitcoin replace Gold"? Lot of people express doubts on this. I think they just don't realize the future. I think, bitcoin's time will definitely come.

Imagine a few decades from now, when people and corporations start moving to Mars. Imagine that Inter-planetary mining has become a reality and the first trillionaires are being minted. The workforce of miners, workers, engineers, doctors is regularly travelling for seasonal contracts. What do you think would be a better option to take and bring back as your "wealth"?? A bunch of heavy gold coins, a centralized ledger entry or a titanium block with your mnemonics etched in it in some way that only you can uncover them. A property that truly belongs only to you. You the explorer, who dared cross boundaries of normal thought and your planet to find work and life on a new planet.

This will once again be a time of daring exploration. Smart, dexterous people will be its most important commodity. As an individual, would you like to carry money in a bag or depend on a bunch of banking dinosaurs?? Bitcoin will be the the natural choice to be money for this brave, new world of heroes.

Imagine setting up a legacy banking system on a colony with all its paraphernalia of bankers, their servers, daily settlements, Forex trading, currency settlements etc. The normal banking system's bandwidth requirements would simply be unsuitable for the kind of bandwidth that the first inter-plantetary data-links would be capable of. Compare this with an LN based solution on Mars with single settlement transactions back with earth per day. You get to spend your bitcoin at Mars at your local pub on using your LN wallet. The settlements with your "Mother Earth account" happens depending on when you close the channel.

Can you see what I see?  Cheesy

Bitcoin is the future. History shows that a new form of money has always been invented much before the actual future comes to pass. Ancient people started using shells and corals before they learnt to trade and sew clothes. The first coins were invented before people started cultivating silk to exchange for gold. Paper money, banker's cheques came into being much before the Industrial revolution they financed. History has repeated itself and bitcoin is here as the money of a future radically different from what we can imagine now.

Learn about it, Buy it, HODL it. Your "Starship Hydraulics specialist" Grandson will thank his visionary Grandpa.

We cannot colonize Mars
It's still 200-300 more before we can build a self sustaining closed body in which there will be humans , animals , plants , let alone the colonization, we have to first try and attain the speed of light which according to the equation m=m°/1-v2/c2 , is not possible.
We have to find a fault in this equation first , then only can we attain the speed enough to colonize another planet.

--

Plus there won't be many people out there to even start sending and receiving Bitcoins from up and about since the only thing possible is *self sustaining ecosystem* for transferring messages from Mars to Earth would take another 5-10 years.

--

You think you will get good internet connection out there 😂? It will take a lot of time to make sure that works, yes we do have internet connection on satellites and Mars rovers , but those things are not economically good for anyone , that one thing alone costs millions and making a Colony is too soon .

The best thing that could happen would be a second tier colony on the top of the current world , something like a floating city , that would be the only way to save us from over population and destruction of nature .

Therefore in that floating city we can see Bitcoins working Cheesy Mars is too soon.

[[ If anyone did read The brief history of time by Stephen Hawking they would be able to know that it's impossible both in theory and practical part but at the same time , we do have a huge scope of improvement , who knows when we will get there ? It took years to build fire and electricity Cheesy , this is too much  ]]

There are species of microorganisms that I do think we can introduce on Mars and other planets that could in a 10000 of years make their own species by evolution.

*_*

They will have their own Bitcoins Cheesy
2664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: building a crypto criminal database on: July 25, 2020, 11:33:39 AM
To build a criminal database one would need the information of everyone who is involved in this therefore this would genuinely hurt the Privacy part of the cryptocurrencies like Bitcoins.
This would create problems for the Investors and for the network itself. It would more or so make the cryptocurrencies a Centralized body , there have been events that makes me think that this would happen in the future soon:
-KYC is being demanded by most of the wallet companies
-Due to KYC the bank accounts are being connected and information is being sent to the government body
-.-
I do think it should be done only when an investigation is being done therefore it would actually be justifiable.

This step may cause 2 things :
-Completely eradicate the privacy
-eradicate the chance that could have been given to those people who made a mistake , I think everyone needs that chance no matter what.

2666  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank Digital Currencies: a Threat or a Blessing? on: July 23, 2020, 06:20:31 AM
Central Bank currencies are nothing but a hilarious joke for cryptocurrencies, they are not cryptocurrencies!! With a non volatile nature and something backing them up , they might as well be fiat2.0

Things I can think of:

Pros:
-The government will be able to track the users
-Good option for traditional people who do not trust the cryptocurrencies and such
-Secure and hassle free transactions
-can stop Corruption
-won't charge excessive fee for transferring
Cons:
-Zero Privacy
-Same as fiat , only online
-Kills the whole concept of cryptocurrencies
-Would try and dominate the market by banning cryptocurrencies first
-Would be very volatile and stable which won't be good for short term trading much
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoins dominance coming to an end? on: July 22, 2020, 10:01:22 PM
A lot of speculations coming around this forum as well as in many other sites regarding the dominance if BTC is going to end, Are the alts going to take over???

Where as I went through few links where it states like big whales are targeting altcoins over BTC. Pretty cool 😎 but I still believe in this valuable asset because remember what happened in 2017 it rallied more than 1000%. So guys don't panic and take serious decisions have patience till it recovers BTC is still dominating and hopefully it will in upcoming. Link just for reference.

https://dailyhodl.com/2020/07/21/bitcoins-status-as-crypto-king-is-coming-to-an-end-predicts-blockchairs-nikita-zhavoronkov-heres-why/amp/

-Etherum has just become the most used Crypto because of its many advantages that attracts the Investors. Plus its technologically more advanced which is being preferred by a lot of companies. The contracts on ETH are also a big hit now a days used by lending agents and companies.

-Elon Musk apparently is supporting the Dogecoin and at the same time it's hiking the price up .

-Altcoins like BCH and Litecoin are getting accepted by stock exchanges now which means people are keeping their focus on them too .

But at the same time one needs to understand the fact that even though we read news like these all the time we have to understand for a fact that :-

-most altcoins are dependent on BTC even for buying/selling

-BTC remains the most trusted Crypto since people generally buy ETH to transfer and change it to BTC for long term investment

-which means it's not like the focus is shifting to other coins , it's actually how these coins are helping one another , it's more like a symbiotic relationship.

2668  Economy / Gambling discussion / BetKing sponsors kenya football , is it a publicity stunt ? on: July 22, 2020, 07:56:50 PM
https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/betking-sponsors-football-kenya-federation-sportpesa-still-out/

Apparently Betking is sponsoring the Kenya football federation but Sportpesa Withdrew all sponsorships which actually supported local football teams .

Quote
As per the new deal, BetKing, a legal sports betting operator, will offer $11.1 million for the rights to represent the league. The FKF will be referred to as BetKing Premier League and each club will receive payments worth KES8 million per year in instalments

Good thing :
-They are supporting the female league which is mostly overlooked

-By doing this they are extending their business to more people which is legal betting.

What do you guys think ? Should more betting sites and companies make a reasonable investment in popular sports , not only reasonable but responsible because as I see they are focusing on women and second tier teams..

This could mean it's giving the business a positive review.

P.S. Thank you so much for educating me about the scam , therefore I do think we have something more to discuss here :-

So BetKing Doing this must be a part of a big plan where they try and clear their image and at the same time scam more people for the long run , but 11 million$ is a lot ! Where are they getting all this money from .

I found this on Google :
Quote
The publicly proven BetKing scam (betking.io) offers a BKB fantasy token ICO where investors become part of the casino and bankroll! ... Investors sent valuable crypto currencies and received a certain number of the 100,000,000 issued BKB fantasy

But the thing is , I saw online and there are many websites out there related to BetKing , this can be just a vicious circle where more scammers use the name of the scammers themselves to scam more people.

______________

They might be trying to improve their image ??

Am really sorry for all the people who got scammed , I do hope you guys can leave your opinions and reviews here which would prevent future Investors to engage in such activities that might cause them to loose a lot of money .
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Poker Tournaments" are reopening little by little. on: July 22, 2020, 05:07:18 PM
On March 2020, there are a lot of poker tournaments which are postponed due to this Covid-19 pandemic. I know all of us wants to watch those live tournaments because of getting bored as we don't have an access to play poker physically in some casinos. Some gamblers are only relying on playing poker through offline and online gambling platform.

There are some casinos that are reopened in May to continue operating and it includes "The Seminole Hard Rock Tampa", "the King’s Casino Rozvadov", "Derby Lane", and "Bestbet Jacksonville and Bestbet Orange Park. This is a good news for those gamblers who are homesick in watching or playing poker in the internet.

“We are going to start offering tournaments again in July,” bestbet Director of Poker Jesse Hollander told Card Player. “We will likely have three tournaments a week in Jacksonville and two a week at Orange Park, no-limit hold’em tournaments with buy-ins of $60 and $150. We will offer those in July, and hopefully will offer more starting in August.”

This Multi-Table Tournaments are located in different countries and i'm pretty sure that it can bring a lot of influence to the slowly improvement of gambling industry amidst this pandemic. This is complete possible to happen because probably there are a new set of rules and regulation that are implemented inside a poker casino. There are more casinos that will soon to reopen in the month of July and August.

“The top priorities for us are to make sure that the players are safe and make sure our staff are safe,” said Savage.
Although, it is not that safe to play and go to a physical casinos, it is good that staffs are still prioritizing safety for all.

Do you think this will bring a huge development or improvement in a Gambling Industry? Will poker be the only safest option to play gambling right now?

Source: https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/25049-live-poker-tournaments-are-slowly-returning-around-the-globe

Not only that there are companies who are taking into account COVID-19 and at the same time they opened the consultation for the people and the companies engaged in gambling.

They said they assumed that all the working staff and the people are positive and from there they moved on making things safer and at the same time using the security measures so that it's a safe zone for the offline poker and gambling section.

I don't really remember where I read it but I will try and list the source.

This is really good since we do understand that we just have to do 3 things according to scientists :

1. Wear a mask
2. Wash your hands frequently
3. Keep social distancing

This would actually make it easy to reopen the business and at the same time make them Efficient in handling the pandemic situation.

Sooner or later they had to open it , any company cannot take that much loss , they would have to shut down eventually. Therefore poker tournaments is just the starting we will see most of the casinos functioning soon .
2670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin never a ponzi on: July 22, 2020, 12:10:23 PM
Not only that generally the pyramid schemes does not work well because of * internet* , people generally settle down and send their reviews about the scheme , product , then it ends up educating others about the same it ultimately forces the governmental body to take strict action.

Plus Bitcoin was a new thing which scared the few people at first which might have made someone add that page in wikipedia , that was totally reasonable. Even right now there are people who considers cryptocurrencies to be a hoax.

Quote from: Oshosondy
People that invested early do not gain from investors but from people that invested late

If someone is familiar with two and a half Men , the show did have an episode where Alan takes money from a lot of people and pay them using money he collected later on and due to huge trust and at the same time returns , no one ever actually takes out the money , it stays with the guy.

Season 8 episode 15,16
{If you still don't understand what a Ponzi scheme is}
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

I do think to address this question one have to tell people how *Bitcoins is not created out of thin air*

*Why the price is volatile?*

*How did people became millionaires because of Bitcoins*

There are a lot of them , but I do think for the starting part we can tell our own experience , how it helps us day to day and how it's not controlled by the government.

Plus many companies , people even government did follow suit and made cryptocurrencies !! Which means its not baseless but the technology is so advanced that it has been accepted worldwide.

I believe your own opinion is the strongest argument that you can ever put in defending the Bitcoins about not being a Ponzi scheme, therefore share , educate others ~
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 22, 2020, 10:10:15 AM
See :

When I first heard that Trump is running in the elections , I was laughing at him , about how a guy would care to even compete with such low values . But then I realized people of America did not really care ! How did the man win remains an unsolved mystery.
Make America great again ?
- opening concentration camps in the names of detention centres for the immigrants where kids are dying and being trafficked , at the same time women are harassed everyday.

There are a lot of things but I do think we cannot just decide like this , people do want something different. What we need is a person like Obama to run for the elections again .

Plus many celebs are saying how they will run for election this year , it's funny.  It's not a game that anyone can play .

Polls can be very misleading like in the last Presidential election.
I'm sure that Trump have good chance to win again despite polls.

It's true that polls
a) represent only a fraction of the electorate, which may quite easily be unrepresentative of the whole, and
b) represent only how people say they will vote, not how they will actually vote.

We can reasonably expect that if we have a candidate who is divisive, and who appeals to people's baser prejudices, and whose skills are largely those of a mob agitator or demagogue... then they may be a sizable proportion of people who will vote for him, but will not admit publicly they they will do so... in which case, yes, Trump's eventual share of the vote may be under-reported in polling.

But I still think Biden will win, and still think that Trump will refuse to accept it.

I totally agree with the fact that this represents a fraction and we cannot really count on it.

- I personally think we need a person who is able to connect with all th communities not just the white one's.
- Someone who can actually care about other people and is respectful.
2672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 21, 2020, 06:20:24 PM
People should have much more healthy approach to cryptocurrencies than "get rich quick" and should use bitcoin even if it was going to take 100 years to break ATH again.

Only then the whole system makes sense, otherwise, even if Bitcoin was not meant to be a Ponzi Scheme and obviously is not a Ponzi Scheme, it is actually approached by many "investors" as Ponzi Scheme and they hope to be at the bottom of it. That is simply wrong.

If different crypto news stopped speculating about the price all the time it would be beneficial for the quality of the whole crypto sphere.
If people stopped being obsessed by the price, it would be good too.

This is an honest call to everyone to start treating this great invention as it's meant to be - digital money. Including crypto news websites and youtubers who think that putting higher expected bitcoin price in the title will bring more clicks (and sadly, it usually does).

One says 1 million USD in 1 year, another says 10 million USD and so on... stop it, please. You are doing it wrong.

Some things to consider here :

1. Price of Bitcoins does not determine it's popularity
-It have proven since long that it's here to stay and therefore people are now becoming serious about the way it was supposed to be used.
-freedom from centralized system , freedom from corruption is way more important than getting rich quickly or other things that people like to extend cryptocurrencies to.

2. Right now the market is flourishing and the volatility is very low , which is actually helping people during quarantine a lot , it might not be a good go for trading but it's helping people to recognize the fact that they can count on something else too.

3. I cannot stress this enough *It might and might not reach great heights , but what it's doing is way more* , when government is targeting Bitcoins they are forgetting the good it's doing for 90% of the people. They are putting heavy tax on cryptocurrencies and such which is really hard to tolerate since they actually don't have any right to discriminate against crypto Investors.
Everyones' looking to get benefited in one way or another.

4. Even though the futures expired , even though halving came and miners had to exit , even though we have numerous whale alerts , the price was more or so very stable if you look at the back logs , which means it's now getting stable and strong.

_what we need is more people to know about cryptocurrencies , their usage , their reason to exist so that they can use it for themselves in a way that would benefit them because honestly the centralized system cares about the rich only.
2673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: July 21, 2020, 04:37:43 PM
There has been a lot of talk lately about which new features are important for cryptocurrency casinos to add;

The general consensus is that new games, deposit methods, chat features etc are expected from any good casino. But has anywhere actually began offering cryptocurrency staking options for accepted cryptocurrencies?

As far as I've seen, plenty of crypto casinos support deposits for stakeable assets like Tezos, Cardano, Tron etc, but I haven't seen a single casino that allows users to benefit from this feature.

Seems like a nice potential revenue option for casinos and its users... Just need to add a withdrawal delay that accounts for the staking period for those that opt in to the feature.

I do think it's a good idea but the thing is when we are taking about staking it needs to be like 3%-4% of the amount and to make it profitable you need to have like a lot in there .

BUT it's not only unsafe , it is also unnecessary to put your funds out like this if you don't plan on using them soon .

I don't think it would be profitable much ..we have various sites for staking and at the same time casinos offer a different thing , you cannot mix them up with investing.

As for me I feel really unsure about depositing too much of the savings for a long period of time to get enough stakes online , we might actually talk about a casino which is offline providing wallet services but I personally have never heard of it.

Never ever leave funds online ! NEVER! It's very risky.
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 21, 2020, 09:12:06 AM
Hey guys Smiley

There are thousands of online casinos, each one of them trying to get new members. How do they do that? By offering bonuses.

Is it important for you to have some kind of welcome/deposit bonus?
Or perhaps if everything else in that casino seems good for you, maybe such is not needed?
If you're into welcome offers, what are the best ones that would tempt you to sign up and start playing in that casino?

Cheers,
Karl

Sometimes it does help the casino to give bonuses to people , even here in the section of services I remember the casino giving 5$ per person to review the site and leave a comment .

It did attract a lot of interest , this might be a good start since people did use that 5$ and also could withdraw the money which proved the people that it was legit , therefore these kinds of Campaign did actually attract a lot of attention and the casino also got legit comments from the people so that they could improve and at the same time make it better.

This would be actually be best offer for me yet since I don't like depositing the money  directly to a site which am not familiar with yet.

There are casinos which gives you 5-10% of what you deposit or like some free extra spins .

Plus contrary to popular opinion I do think the casinos giving free money is not really free until and unless you can withdraw it . You should try and look though this site you can find some amazing casinos offering really good deals on first deposit and such.
2675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Public stock markets welcomes cryptocurrencies , is it even necessary on: July 21, 2020, 07:29:58 AM
Cryptocurrencies are often compared with stock markets they do share many attributes but are different at the same time.

Stocks are a big thing , therefore when they apparently are going to include Bitcoin cash and litecoin I do think it would be a big step for cryptocurrencies . This would also clear out the air that it's not a hoax , I have seen people using stocks but at the same time they are scared of using Bitcoins , those people might now be benefited .

https://fortune.com/2020/07/20/bitcoin-cash-litecoin-trade-public-stock-market-first-time/

Quote
Grayscale Investments, a New York firm that makes cryptocurrencies available in the form of stocks, announced on Monday that regulators have given the go-ahead for the sale of two new cryptocurrencies to the public.

Don't worry Bitcoins is already in the list and at the same time the fact that new cryptocurrencies are being added means we have had a great market support form the Investors.

Quote
The new Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash stocks bring to six the total number of cryptocurrencies available to the public as shares. The other stocks, also packaged by Grayscale, represent shares of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, and a blend of different currencies.

Investors usually are barred from selling their own cryptocurrencies for a short while .

What I don't get is :

Why buying Bitcoins from these stock markets even exist? People don't have the freedom to sell for a short while plus why do you even need a middle man ?

Is this :
- lack of education regarding Bitcoins and wallets
- trust with the concerned company

Should we even buy Bitcoins from a stock market ?
- I personally would never do that since it will more or so compromise my freedom for a short period of time and what if at that time we might be benefited ?

What are your thoughts on this ?
-Is it essential , should it even exist?

( This in no way does mean the news is not good , since it would mean that the cryptocurrencies will get more exposure to the general public )

Exec Embezzles $22M From ‘Influencer’ Marketing Firm, Spends Nearly Half on Crypto Gambling

I know this is an old article but I'm just surprised that crypto casinos is this big already.

The article says one person has lose maybe at least $10 million in a casino from a poker game, I mean, how big we are already? I'm just amazed.

Can we just discuss the market size not the gambling addiction or anything related to that?

1. When the Venezuelan president said that their casino will literally run on Petro Crypto he did showed that the Crypto casinos are here to stay .

https://calvinayre.com/2020/01/20/bitcoin/venezuela-okays-casino-petro-cryptocurrency/amp/

They are more Transparent , more secure at the same time honestly easy to track all the transactions for the government (I have no idea why governmental bodies are scared of this fact )

2. Cryptocurrencies have long been used by people who like a little desecration especially in Gambling and other games. I have seen articles mentioning how people think Bitcoins is just for gambling.

3. We cannot really get an exact number but I think Crypto casinos are more popular online as compared to normal one's where you use cash.

4. Right now in the quarantine the people who can afford to pay the casinos are all focused towards the crypto casinos since going in person might mean you will have the Corona Virus possibly.

5. It's more safe ! It's more secure ! It's more private ! I actually have never used a casino which accepted cash , only the ones running on Bitcoins. We also have a wide variety of section to choose from.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 20, 2020, 02:36:20 PM
I think that slots are way better than dice because of their payout structure. Lets say you are hunting 99x in dice, in this hunt you will not get paid if you hit 98x. But in slots things are different and you will get paid for every hit though you are aiming for jackpot.
I know that most of the slots pay like 80-92% of what goes into slots but still if you compare it with dice (specially hit and run method) it is more profitable in long run (although in long run you will eventually loose in both games because of house edge)
I want you to ponder upon this and please tell me how much I am right in this line of reasoning.

If we approach this mathematically:
For double dice which is generally used the winning percentage will be : 1/6*1/6= 1/36

In terms of slots the machine is quite different , all casinos use a different kind of slot machine, at some slot machines they might use 10 changing images which have different payout.
The percentage is quite lower as compared to the dice one .

When we are talking about the payout too , in terms of slots it's really really rare that a person hits the jackpot but I have seen some winning in dice. Payout in slots is better but at the same time it so quite rare.

Overall as for me dice has a better chance.
2678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 09:36:10 AM
Bitcoin is a currency started by developers that were interested in the idea of sending online payment without a central authority that would check the accounts. The idea and the whole thing (with Satoshi Nakamoto, blockchain technology etc) inspired many people to use it. And some of them, worked on it. Due to this big adoption and fixed supply, bitcoin went to moon. At least for a while, but it did. And right now it is high as well.

Well, do we need it? Because, I can see that people use it only as an investment or as a money laundering tool. Black markets rebornt after the creation of bitcoin. I tried to convince someone to use it, but you know what? I couldn't. Why? Well, honest people don't afraid the central authority, in addition with the dishonest ones. Those who want something that is illegal, cannot do that. So they use bitcoin.

Governments don't want it and they wish they could prevent it, because they cannot track you easily, they cannot tax you, they ..., they ..., they...
Governments like censorship, and there is 0% censorship on bitcoin.

I like bitcoin, a lot. But I don't think that this world needs it. Except if they want to hide something. Prove me wrong.

Okay let me clear few things for you :

* It's only used for investments and money laundering ?

Only 10% Bitcoins is used for illegal activities !!
It's an amazing source to transfer the money from one part of the world to another without compromising time/privacy/excess fee and all.
People are buying houses with it !! Even coffee.
Lightning network does need a lot of improvement but in the future we might have some new way to send instantly without using much fee.

* You are seriously talking about governments like they are the rulers of the kingdom and we should do as they please. They work for us not the other way around! Ask for your rights.

See this centralization is disastrous !! We are living in a world where people are oppressed and corruption and discrimination is killing most of them , decentralization gives person a chance .

* It actually gives us a chance to protect our assets in a different way , trade for short and long term , have a option for the time when market falls , even during corona virus Bitcoins did help a lot of people , it provided jobs , opportunities to earn , expand their business overseas without much problems.

* Cash is used way more for these things !!!
We cannot even expect to actually find out about the transactions and such but Bitcoins is transparent and when we are talking about censorship and government , we should understand that it is way more open as compared to any governmental body.

2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life soundtrack for Gamblers? on: July 20, 2020, 06:11:42 AM

I'm working with an online casino as marketing personnel and we are working on a video introduction to promote the casino on youtube. We have been looking for soundtrack that is related to gambling and casino. Although there are many of it on the list, we don't want to spoil it with lady gaga's poker face. We could either just have an instrumental shape of my heart by sting background or create our own so it won't be blocked in some countries on youtube.

Can you suggest more songs related to gambling but for new generations millennial and up. Any suggestions please.

I do think you should not put any soundtrack perse , there are specific music being used by the gambling sites all around the world and not even gambling sites but offline casinos .

Music actually influences your behavior to an extent , it's a well known fact that usually casinos around the world either use the Happy music or to even make people feel relaxed.

I do think you have to see what you are aiming for and take references from the Las Vegas Casinos , see their videos , see Their music , I won't recommend going there in person for sure.

At the same time you can use instrumental music by famous people and maybe put a theme music for each game people will play .

Try searching instrumental but honestly I would go to the ones in the 1900's that was something else . It's a bigger choice to make that to just choose music , I think you should research about it more.
2680  Other / Off-topic / Re: e-mail from Warren Buffett. Feels Funny?? on: July 20, 2020, 05:42:50 AM
The development happening around the world is high, even on this occasion people tries to scam people through the age-old techniques of scamming through emails stating themselves as Buffett, Bill Gates and in the name of other billionaires. Have anyone encountered or received similar e-mails. This really seems funny to post this, but to know who else has received such emails I wrote it.

Few things I would like to point out here for the people who still would think that it's not a scam.

1.
Quote
Anyone can attempt to make contact with Buffet through Berkshire Hathaway's public email address is berkshire@berkshirehathaway.com and the mailing address is 3555 Farnam St., Omaha, NE 68131.

*From Google

2. Warren buffet won't state that he is a billionaire !!

3. He won't ask you to Google his name !

4. He does a lot of charity work already and does not have the need to do anything like this
Quote
Each year, Buffett donates a chunk of his Berkshire Hathaway A shares, that are then converted into B shares and given to the foundation. He is also donating to a non-profit that he runs in the name of his late first wife, and to non-profits run by his three children. His children will also receive cash inheritances.

*From Google

5. How do you think the aforesaid person got your email ? Did you subscribe to his website? Or did the person paid to get this information ?
For sure it wasn't the subscription part ! Since he is asking you to Google his name !!!! So the person actually paid to get your email , websites usually sell it for a fixed amount , *including the social media websites*

6. It's too polite !
God bless you ?? It's not even professional !!

I am aware that there are people who still fall for scams like these , please be careful and thank you for sharing it since I have seen many gullible people even from my family.
