Well, if you do not know or do not have a certain things to do on where to get a stable earnings with bitcoin and you have a job, better not to quit your job.  As one of the options on the poll, just focused on both.  We do not know what will happened on bitcoin for the next years but we are hoping for a good one.  It is better to focused on both as it will give you a good income.  You can double your earnings and it would be a good way to become rich.
2662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Bitcoin on BBC News Front Page on: July 20, 2017, 12:37:50 PM
Funny thing is they were able to recognize bitcoin when it is almost a decade now and when its price is more than $2000.  But it is better late than never.  Feauturing bitcoin in a news channel like bbc will open more doors for bitcoin and for us.  It could open more establishments to accept bitcoin as means of payment.  Bitcoin price will continue to go up if there would be more user.
2663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate muslems? on: July 20, 2017, 09:29:37 AM
no. why should i hate them. they ddnt do anything bad for me to hate. we must respect ech religion. if they ddnt do bad to u dont hate just bcoz of other muslim who make bad.

It is because all terrorist were linked to being Muslem.  They uses that religion to execute their evil doings just to justify or validate it.  But like what you said, there is no reason to hate them since they are not the one who are destroying or the terrorist itself.  I also know some Muslem and they are just like us.  They are good and peace lovers.
2664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pain realizing early stupidity on: July 19, 2017, 08:42:07 AM
Ouch, it really hurts when you realize you sold Bitcoins that would be worth more 70 000USD now for 20 USD a year ago. Cry

Anyone else here who know how it feels?
Or anyone here happy to have done so?

I do feel the same way but yours is worst than me. I have sold my btc when it was just around 1000$ in value then months later the price of bitcoin went up to 2000 us dollars and up. To my dismay I should have a double profit if I sold my bitcoin not too early. But there is no time to  mourn so I began my online jobs and signature campaign to earn bitcoins online and this time I will be holding it until the price will be x 10 its current value.
2665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HELP: Banksters are conquering Uruguay. This could be the beginning of the End. on: July 19, 2017, 08:36:48 AM
I have no issues pertaining your salary being thrown to banks or that all people must have a bank account. It is not something problematic. But the problem lies on the uncontrolled uses of money going in and out of the country. Does your country have no AMLA or the anti-money laundering agency to check big transactions. I hope I can help you with the recent political problems in your country, you may plead to the united states for assistance or to the international human rights commission.
2666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your BitcoinCash on August 1st if there is a HF? on: July 19, 2017, 08:28:52 AM

If there will be a hardfork and there will be a bitcoin split I will not sell my coins. The reason is that before August 1 I will convert all my bitcoins into dollars and wait until everything is okay. I want to play safe so that before anything bad will happen my investment is safe. I am also planning to migrate into litecoins before August 1 and I will use half of my bitcoins to do that. I want to play safe and at the same time I want to earn. If in the end hardfork will rule the bitcoin market then I will buy hardfork bitcoins.
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the "Unknown block versions being mined!" warning on: July 19, 2017, 08:14:43 AM
If you are using Bitcoin Core and derivative software, then you may have noticed that there is now a warning that states:
Quote
Warning: Unknown block versions being mined! It's possible unknown rules are in effect

This warning will appear at the top of the Bitcoin Core GUI and reported in the errors or warnings field of the getinfo, getnetworkinfo, and getmininginfo RPC commands.

This warning is triggered when more than 50 of the last 100 blocks have a version number that Bitcoin Core does not expect. Currently that is being triggered by miners mining for BIP 91 (aka the first half of segwit2x). These miners are setting bit 4 of the block version field, and Bitcoin Core does not expect this to be set.

The version numbers that Bitcoin Core expects are 0x20000000 (536870912) and 0x20000002 (536870914). The unexpected version numbers currently are 0x20000012 (536870930) and 0x20000010 (536870928).

Currently this warning is benign as there is no fork and no new network rules have activated. Your coins are not at risk.

I thought we will be in trouble again. I read your post and I thought that another problem has risen that will again cause bitcoin to fall in price. But when I finished your comment and I read the line " your coins are not at risk" my mind became at ease again. I just hope that the core developers will also agree to BIP 91 so that  there will be no more bitcoin split that will occur in the coming days.
2668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIP 91 lock-in period on: July 19, 2017, 08:10:51 AM
Not sure if there's a similar thread like this, the lock-in period for BIP 91 has begun as of block 476,448.
Since there is unwavering support for it, well over 80%, it will most definitely be activated.
You can watch the current lock-in status here:
https://coin.dance/blocks
https://www.xbt.eu/

Looking at the charts it seems that the majority of miners including bitmain is signaling for the activation of BIP 91. I am very positive that this kind of protocol will be activated and will be used by all miners so that the possible bitcoin split will be avoided. BIP 91 will be the best solution to both the core developers and the hardfork group. If this will be implemented bitcoin will be more livelier than ever.
2669  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: July 19, 2017, 08:03:45 AM
No it won't, ending poverty is like something that can literally never be destroyed. And bitcoin will hardly play a role  in demolishing poverty all over the world . Bitcoin is not abundant but poverty is . There is a slight chance for poverty to be abolished  all over the world but then all the countries of the world should work towards a common goal for which everyone knows the answer is that such a thing is not likely to happen.

I do agree with your statement that ending poverty is a hard thing to do. Even if bitcoin comes in poverty will be still exist and will not be wiped out. One of the reasons is that if bitcoin will be implemented many businesses will open and many jobs will open but along with that other business that cannot ride along with the changes in the financial market will be closing and thus many employees will also lost their jobs.
2670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I store my bitcoin for the new few weeks? on: July 19, 2017, 08:00:03 AM
I hold some in bitpanda.com and some in blockchain.info

During this whole fork situation - where should I keep my bitcoins? Should I download the bitcoin core wallet to my computer and move the coins there?

Should I just leave them in their online wallets?

If I move them to a local computer wallet, what do I need to do when bitcoin forks? Do I need to do something to get the same amount of coins in the new chain? (Download a core wallet for the new one so I have bitcoins in both the original and the forked?) (if so how??)

Thankyou all - I don't really care about which chain is the successor etc I just care about being on THE chain and not being left with coins in the wrong place

Thoughts appreciated
Thankyou

If you worry to much as to where will you hold your bitcoins then store it in wallets with private keys. But for me I will do the most simplest thing to do before August 1. I will exchange my bitcoin to other altcoins or exchange it to dollars which is more safer than keeping it on wallets having no bitcoin is more safer than having bitcoin at all. After the problems are settled then I will just buy some bitcoins using my dollars.
2671  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: July 19, 2017, 07:54:49 AM
This is nuts, this will lead the world to end just like what happened to Sodom and Gomorra. I don't agree and will never be in favor of this crazy thing.

Same sex marriage is a union between people with behavioral disorder. Homosexuality is a kind of behavioral disorder and thus it is not an excuse to marry the same sex just because of their faulty emotions and beliefs. The twisted society have failed to see that the essence of marriage is the creation of family and procreation is one of the main goal of marriage. With people having the same sex procreation is impossible and it is very immoral to do such things.
2672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Scaling Flowchart on: July 19, 2017, 07:45:32 AM
Helpful for visualising what can happen when.

I have a hard time imagining things as to what will happen if one is not approved or one is approved. But your charts have made it clear as to what will be the next situation if BIP91 will be approved or not. But I do hope that BIP91 will be accepted by all miners and that there will be no more bitcoin split. Hope that the August 1 event will be successful so that the community will not be in panic again.
2673  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: July 19, 2017, 07:38:02 AM
Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

The United States of America is a first world country and that the economy is in demand of skilled individuals. It means that the competition in applying for work is hard since you need to have a good educational background to be accepted to a white collared job. And so if you will not graduate in college you will end up in hard labor jobs for the rest of your life with a minimum pay.
2674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 19, 2017, 07:26:17 AM
Going up now and maybe in one week time we will be at the $3000 level again. I just recently bought new bitcoin and i will hold it until I can.
You have made a good choice and I think more newbie traders who have sold their bitcoins cheap being panic will buy back bitcoin in much higher price.  Grin

Like predicted price have recovered quicker than how it was dumped few days ago.

I'm scared of buying it now when it's $2300 again, I was waiting and hoping that it will drop more than the $1900 as it was a couple of days ago, but now I don't know if I should buy before or after August 1st.... :|

Well if you think that a price drop will no longer be happening before August 1 then think twice. Before August 1 the big whales are going to manipulate the market again so that bitcoin holders will panic and sell their bitcoin at a lower value thus making them more richer. Just get ready and prepare your dollars this month and probably you can buy more bitcoins at a lower value. I am doing the same right now.
2675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market crash on: July 19, 2017, 07:16:52 AM
I'm just curious. What if bitcoin and any other alts market fall and you invested all your money into this. Would you rather do Panic Selling? and How would you compensate all your losses?

If it falls there is no need to do some panic selling instead I will just hold them and wait for it to increase in value before I will sell in on the market. If I will sell it in a lower value during the fall then I will lose some huge profit. But instead of selling I will buy more during the fall so that when the price went up again I will have more profit. In my experience I panicked once and I lost a significant amount of profit and so I learned from my own mistakes.
2676  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sexbots. Will you be indulging? on: July 19, 2017, 07:03:55 AM
I own 32 artificially intelligent My Little Pony 24/7 sex bots locked in my basement. They bring me unspeakable pleasure. Is this ethically acceptable?

It is not ethically acceptable and it is very gross and very immoral. Humans are made to have intercourse with its opposite sex after the rite of marriage. Even animals select their partners cows have sex with cows, elephants with elephants, and many more elephants. Man is not a robot and to have sex with a robot is like masturbation or pleasuring one self which is immoral. Think twice before doing it.

13 Japanese Exchanges Agree to Suspend Bitcoin Service on August 1
Quote
The Japan Cryptocurrency Business Association has officially announced its plan on how to deal with the possibility of a Bitcoin protocol split on August 1. Thirteen of the group’s bitcoin exchange members, including Coincheck, Gmo-Z, Bitbank, and Bitpoint, will suspend bitcoin deposits and withdrawals on August 1 at 00:00 Japan time.

We decided to temporarily stop accepting bitcoin deposits and withdrawals at each exchange…We will stop only the services related to depositing and withdrawing bitcoins, but we will provide our other regular services for virtual currencies and legal currencies.

This is the only choice the exchanges that the local exchangers has to do and that is to suspend bitcoin activities on August 1  until all issues are clear and it is already safe for their clients. It is not only in Japan but also in the Philippines the local exchange have already declared that they will stop the bitcoin operations such as deposit and withdrawal due to uncertainties on August 1. Hope we get over with August 1 so that we can bring back the lively bitcoin.
2678  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: July 19, 2017, 06:46:52 AM
Youngsters are more involved in bitcoins and are earning in the best ways possible and the percentage of older generation would be very less in bitcoins as most of them would not be aware about bitcoins at a moment.

Young generation nowadays are more equipped with skills and knowledge on the use of computers and internet compared to adults. This is just a sign that the younger generation can adopt easily to this new kind of digital currency which is the cryptocurrency. Actually the people who taught me about signature campaign are people who are very young without their help I may not be able to earn bitcoin online.
2679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Big Blockers to Fork Off, THANK GOD on: July 19, 2017, 06:44:18 AM
I hope they fork off this board too and choke on their large blocks  Cheesy

https://news.bitcoin.com/viabtc-launching-bitcoin-cash-token-mining-pool-bitcoin-abc/

Seriously though, now everyone can kind of get what they want  Roll Eyes

This token may be a good instrument to protect their customer of the possible incoming bitcoin split. If ever the split will occur their clients have a token which can be converted back to the winning version of bitcoin. It is a good concept but somehow it is not necessary since it works just like fiat currency. But if you are using ViaBTC then that will be a good sign that the website is thinking of its users safety.
2680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid of August One? on: July 19, 2017, 06:38:31 AM
We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?

I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.
There is no reason for me to be afraid to the August 1.

There is no reason to afraid August 1 but many have panicked and sold their bitcoins at a lower value. We cannot deny that the uncertainties that the possible split have caused to the bitcoin community. It caused doubt, panic and fear. But at this point of time we have no more to fear of the events in August 1 since the signal of BIP91 the threat of having a hardfork and a bitcoin split is somehow no longer possible.
