This is a bit off topic: is there anyone here that uses IRC and can help with basic stuff? (I haven't been using it for a very long time and need a few advices).

28 LottoCoin $ 1,238,876 $ 0.00027 4,623,026,482 LOT $ 425,800 +182.95 %Don't say I didn't warn you guys, lotto is going to explode. Once the doge bubble pops there will be a new bubble, and it looks like it is already starting. Market cap is still tiny, so much room to go up. https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/137Great. Thanks for the heads up. But, this is the DOGE thread, not a LOTTO thread. Let's keep on topic Yes, lets keep on the topic, which reminds me, there haven't been a advertisement for a DOGE pool for almost 10 post?

I'm not even sure price will drop when block halving appears... Price now is just passing the difficulty and keeps on rising. If this trend keeps going until block halving, mining will still be profitable, less but still great
This is why I think there will not be a BIG drop when block halving starts (sorry for me english its not that good)
Its quite simple: The price will always follow supply and demand. If the block reward half, then will the supply drop and if the demand is the same then will the price go up.
|
|
|
hey all, Keep in mind that block reward has not halved yet. A rise to 100 wasn't predicted until then.
Q: with the increase in activity, will block reward halve sooner, and when?
No i will not, the block interval is embedded in the protocol. only the difficulty will increase, to match the block interval.

PS by June, GPU mining for doge go the way of the dodo, 2nd ASIC in mainstream important to rack up while you can
Bullshit. Not even one vaporware Scrypt asic is remotely fast enough (for the money and promised delivery dates) to overtake GPU mining by June. I suspect I'll still be mining with my cards in 12 months' time, depending on crypto prices obviously. I agree. I was working on a scrypt FPGA miner in the summer, I gave up when realized that bottleneck is the memory bandwith, which is highly optimized in modern GPU. A scrypt asic will most likely not outperform the GPU anytime soon, there will be a power reduction, however power is only 5-15% lost revenue, when the exhange rates (before DOGE exploded).
|
|
|
Are we going to overtake PPC? We need 470-480 satoshi for that, I think it's inevitable.
after block reward halves, we can see that I have been mining for more than a year, I have never seen this before. Obviously a lot of miner have changed to DOGE in the last 48 hours, if you look at all other scrypt, this cause the diff to go down, and the profit to go up. Even LTC is estimated a -7% diff change. The whole scrypt marked is going up (thats great from a business perspective, even my most optimistic plan do not come close to this).

Can you please elaborate? Are you talking about a scrypt ASIC?

|
|
Doge = 75 GH/s Litecoin = 95 GH/s
Fuckin' unbelievable...
Not really, the profit for DOGE right now is ~3 times higher, obviously many miners will point their workers at DOGE as long as the exhange rate is so high, and diff is relatively low.

Shibes, give me some advice/explain, isn't it better to sell now and buy @ 100-150 satoshis? Why is it better just to hold seeing how price falls down without having any profit? I am totally dummie in trading, so gimme a hint, please!
I would rather be IN the market for the fall to 100 than OUT of the market and miss the rise to 10000 it is just about how much you afford to loose. If you mined these they you don't lose anything. If you buy in here, you can lose. If you were already in 3 days ago. How can you lose? Someone has to sell, the buyers want coins, let everyone sell. Let's see where this is in 6 months. People who make big money do it with bigger picture in mind. I would like to be rich - this is better than wasting money on the lottery lol! Cfx. I do agree with some of the things you write. However mining cost $ in terms of electricity and investment in equipment. There for as a miner I need to sell some of the harvest, to cover my expenses and secure ROI on my investment. However I must say, that I am keeping more than I am selling when it comes to DOGE. That turned out to be a good decision so far.

hey there im on dogehouse pool since 2 hours ago with 3mh but it shows me 0 coin in my balance. anyone have problem with dogehouse or it will count later?i
I am having problem too, I belive their server is totally overloaded, the worker count in the pool has increased with more than a factor 10 the last 48 hours. I have a large payout pending, I hope they don't mess up. I am considering to find another pool (even though dogehouse has been super stable and had good payouts), but that will help the pool.

Mine came in after about 3 hours this morning, but I heard it can be even worse. :/
Seriously, cryptsy Just got up and saw the rate, transfered some DOGE to vircurex, it took less than 20 min

I install first time DogeCoin wallet and that not sync. Download already blockchain but its still out of sync. What can do?
I think you need too wait 3-4 hours for the blockchain to download. I am syncing everyday, and it always takes 5-10 min to catch up, and the chain is pretty long by now.

He doesn't care about the hashing really...

I can recommend MSI R9 280X (has twin frozr fan,10 mm), undervolt to 1137 mV. They perform very stable at 720 kH/s with @ 75C at 65% fan speed.
I was actually experimenting today, with sacrificing hash power for lower noise, they perform well at 690 kH/s @ 78C at 50% fan speed.
50% fan speed is not making much noise.
But the ideal "wife approved" rig, would be to watercool the cards, however the rig will properly never reach ROI.
I use AX760 in my rig, it is general one of the most low noise PSU you can get.

1) We're all now newbies and jr.members. Thanks to bitcointalk.org administration
Was there any changes in the rating system? Do you have a link?EDIT:Found it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423995.0Basically removing of the newbie restriction, and change of the activity levels a bit.

anybody knows how long it takes sending from cryptsy to bter ? Anybody got problemes with deposits to cryptsy?
I would seriously recommend you too use vircurex if time is important to you. BTC takes four confirmation to show up on your account, of you pay a tx of min. 0.005 BTC, when you send the bitcoins, then will it take less than 30 min. he didn't mention btc, he probably was talking about dogecoin? Oh, your are right, good point (sorry). I assumed that all true shiba's are hodling DOGE coin take 10 confirmation, but that goes pretty fast too (I do not have an exact time), but I never had problem putting DOGE on vircurex. (I must admit I do convert some of my mining DOGE to BTC, since I must be sure to have ROI on my hardware)
