I'll still pay 5BTC for an IDCODE readout even if it turns out the "big chip" is not on the chain and all that comes back is some sort of flash memory device (e.g. for holding configuration data).
I'm also very interested in this. Someone do it please!
2682  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: X6500 Custom FPGA Miner on: April 22, 2012, 09:19:01 PM
I'am donating 50 BTC to the devolper of cgminer in order to buy a X6500 board to to send to him so he can make CGMiner work with the X6500.

Who would want cgminer if he has MPBM? Wink
Amen.
+500.
2683  Economy / Services / Re: [4BTC] Assemble a PirateBox for me and send it to me on: April 22, 2012, 07:25:04 PM
Yes, I agree to that, considering you're taking the bigger risk by sending me the routers.

I'll PM you my address.

Also, in the OP you used singular terms, implying you want one router configured. I thought I might exploit that and give you the choice of sending me 3.777btc once or twice Tongue

I think you should get a backup VPS set up somewhere. I'd give you a nice 8-core gigabit Canadian VPS for as long as you'll be down a month ? for like 2k ltc.
2685  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] VPS Server rental in Canada on: April 22, 2012, 05:45:11 AM
I have an Ontario VPS that I don't use for about a month longer. It's through a good company with gigabit up/down and the specs are modifyable, so I can change it to what you need. Send me what specs you want and what you're hoping to pay.
2686  Economy / Services / Re: [4BTC] Assemble a PirateBox for me and send it to me on: April 22, 2012, 05:38:02 AM
That looks awesome Cheesy I'd do it for 3.777btc!

Additionaly, I have experiance loading custom firmwares onto routers, and if done incorrectly, it can brick them, which renders them nearly irrepairable. (Although I have unbricked a few for friends Tongue)

Not going to resist... bye bye four btc Tongue
2688  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: April 22, 2012, 04:14:36 AM
Yes. I've already been accepted to Clipse's 110% pool but have not yet switched over the miners. I plan to do that this week, along with getting graphs fully functional.
2689  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] / Trade: Decent Laptop on: April 22, 2012, 01:26:59 AM
Actually I'd recommend to take out the motherboard and reflow the solder on it with an oven. Most likely you knocked a joint loose or something.
I've heard of doing that before, should I try that first or use the microscope tactic? Or maybe a better question is: Is the risk of baking it low enough to try that first?

Would it make sense, depending on where the circuit is broken, for it to turn all the power lights on for 5-15 seconds, then turn off without posting or even showing anything on the screen?

I appreciate the help. Thanks.
2690  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] / Trade: Decent Laptop on: April 21, 2012, 04:53:54 PM
I have a friend with one of those and it is awesome. What's less awesome is how the price of laptops rises linearly with the specs Tongue So if you ever feel like throwing it on the ground, just tell me when and where and I'll catch it!

You can fix up microscopic cracks with microscope and conductive glue.
I hope this helps

I'll be looking into that, thanks.

I still would like a new laptop though, so I'd be selling the old one if I did fix it.

Good read, thanks.

Would be cool for AMD to add support for linking cards using Crossfire bridge only, then you could link unlimited cards and run them off 1 PCIe slot.
^ The Bitcoin miner's Utopia.

The fan controller is coming along nicely though I've been really busy with school this week. Do you prefer the GUI to have settings from 0-255 or 0%-100%? I think the raw pwm values would be better, but its your choice.

And once I get some more riser cables, I'll plug some of them in series so that they can reach over to the side carriers (that's what they are there for, after all).
I'm pretty interested in whether that will work. I've been considering trying that and setting a gpu on top of my cd drive xD But all the responses I've gotten say either "idk" or "i wonder..." Tongue

dual-GPU monster cards
I guess when you get virtualization set up this will work flawlessly. This project is easily cooler than any ASIC or FPGA! (Sarcastic pun unintended, but lol.)

I'm really happy to be a part of this.

...And I try to avoid meds when I'm sick as I prefer waiting it out.

I think this helps your defenses strengthen themselves. I try to never take pills for this reason, but does anybody know whether the the effect of vitamins is the same?

Looking to sell an XFX 5830. Never overvolted. I want around 25btc flat, unless you're outside US or Canada, then you pay for shipping.

I can post pictures if you would like, it is in perfect condition. It is the bigger and enclosed version, which many people prefer: http://goo.gl/oI0l7

Thanks,
Garrett
