At this point with a registration date of today and his suspicious posting behaviour, I'm leaning toward the assumption of HATA28 to either be a davout sockpuppet or the 'hacker' himself.
Oh, wait. Hehe, duplicates.

You still don't seem to understand. Let me show you. Here's Instawallet's business adress: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=10755-F+Scripps+Poway+Pkwy.+%23472&hl=de&biw=1680&bih=925&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wlYes, that's a hair and nail spa in a San Diego shopping mall. But "wait", you say, "that french dude bought Instawallet and France is not in San Diego." Alrighty then, so let's look at the french dude who now owns instawallet. Quickly grab his business adress of one of his other assets and... https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34+Rue+Charles+Chefson,+92270+Bois-Colombes,+Frankreich&hl=de&ie=UTF8&ll=48.917822,2.276246&spn=0.002908,0.006968&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=56.637293,114.169922&oq=34+CHARLES+CHEFSON+++BOIS-COLOMBES,+92270&t=h&hnear=34+Rue+Charles+Chefson,+92270+Bois-Colombes,+Hauts-de-Seine,+%C3%8Ele-de-France,+Frankreich&z=18...and it's a poor people apartment building in a Paris suburb. See where I'm going here?

Americans, president said "guns bad" and everyone now is like "omg you want to print weapons nonono"
Actually I'm GermanPolishFrench and have been doubting for a little more than the last 38 years the need for anyone to wield a fucking assault rifle (because that is what is this about).

I don't think a Draw is out of line. If you carefully read the terms of the bet,
If you carefully read the terms of the bet,
carefully read the terms
See, this right here? This? This is Atlas type stuff. "Reading the terms carefully" to arrive at some convoluted definition of the bet that the other 95% of the population (aka sane people) can only look at in stark bewilderment and disdain. Do you want to end up like Atlas? A burned out ideas-man with nary an accomplishment to himself but "building an IKEA desk once". (btw, Atlas, you still owe me 3 Bitcoins or something)

My question is, would the bitcoins system struggle to keep up with the growing number of transactions if it became widespread?
What do you mean "would" and "if"? This is already happening. Can you elaborate on this? There are currently people trying to make transactions that won't go through ever? Or do you mean the people who aren't providing any transaction fee are having to wait a few hours for their transaction to make it to the to of the queue? Days, not hours, days. Let's see. The oldest one in here not picked up yet is of 31 March: http://blockchain.info/de/unconfirmed-transactions

Sorry I'm a terrible person for trying to help an organization whose ideas I believe in (DEFCAD) while also helping myself.
2 crazies in a basement trying to outfit people with more easy ways to efficiently shoot lots of other people is not "an organization"

From what I'm hearing a certain competitor to betsofbitco.in didn't have any problems in determining a clear outcome to the same bet...

This ain't good! SSL connection error
Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have. It was down yesterday also. Phinn, go look in Service Discussions. They have served their last bit(coin), their media is write-protected, ENDOFLINE.

But it's unbelievable. Never trust third party wallets with more than pocket is money is so clear everywhere. It's so up in the wiki that you learn this in the first hour reading about bitcoin.
2 things at work here: a) some people are dumb b) bitcoin's false reputation as "easy money" attracts a disproportionaly large share of a)

Same thing with instawallet, I'm those who manage those serve are doing something to fix those!
Instawallet? Instawallet is dead, kaput, it has served it's last bit(coin).

Like I said, I think that their goals align a lot with the goals that many people have for Bitcoin.
I can understand the frustration of being scammed again and again, but shooting people is not the solution.

It seems every generation of bitcoiners just has to learn hard lessons on their own. FFS if experienced bitcoiners like so not modest myself who warned other about exactly this shit long before mybitcoin fiasco tells you TRUST NO ONE. Pay fucking attention next time.
It never works Vlad, they never listen.
