2681  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: January 17, 2018, 01:48:34 AM
Miners do not simply get permanently shut down forever. Nobody leaves machines that make money sitting offline, they'll either be sold and continue hashing again or a farm will shut down temporarily and be moved to another place. Difficulty's swung drastically in the past few months and there have been some instances where difficulty drops may have been attributed to mining farms being moved, etc.
2682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: January 17, 2018, 01:35:39 AM
better 8gb gpu for difficulty increasing
Chances are by the time 8GB no longer works for mining ETH will have finally switched to some sort of POS or whatever 8GB mining cards are available now like the 580 will be obsolete. 4GB is really just fine for mining right now.
2683  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BLOKFORGE- Official Canaan Distributor on: January 16, 2018, 10:49:19 PM
Seems like they are OOS now. I appreciate your effort to distribute more units to members of the forum. Sad that BTC and most crypto had to drop right as these went on sale, though. Sad
2684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2018, 10:47:31 PM
so what kind of complete idiots are selling now Huh where is the massive buying such nice chance for new people
Mostly people with weak hands and newer visitors to Bitcoin. Every drop in price comes from sellers like the people I mentioned previously, nothing new. Just HODL and relax.
2685  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Speculation: Miners will crash bitcoin value on: January 16, 2018, 10:45:20 PM
Gotta sweep those small transactions into one big one...fees are small then.

I completely agree with this. I try to combine all my TXes into one when fees drop below ~100 sats per byte or lower nowadays and it's a small price to pay for what it does. There's no reason not to sweep TXes.
2686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2018, 10:27:37 PM
At least BCC finally collapsed. It was getting annoying with even YouTube ads about it everywhere and misinformed people investing in it. I guess there was a small positive side to this after all.

sub 10k on Finex. We all knew it was coming.
2687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which GPU should i pick? 1070 or 1070 ti? on: January 15, 2018, 11:40:10 PM
I'd rather get 1080 instead. Right now it's only about $20-ish more than 1070Ti, but has the same TDP as 1070Ti, and gives significant more hashrate (okay, probably not for memory-intensive algos like ETH...)
Availability is a big factor too and in many places the 1080 is OOS or priced ridiculously higher than the 1070ti/1070. Mining right now is really just what you can get at a price as close to MSRP as possible.
2688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hardware availability! on: January 15, 2018, 11:21:40 PM
I live pretty close to a Micro Center and if you get there slightly before they start distributing the GPUs you can snag 1070s/1080s for MSRP. The only problem is a lot of people are in line for them, and I mean A LOT. Otherwise, the shelves there are just devoid of GPUs.
2689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced GPU (USD$100-$175) for a novice setup? on: January 15, 2018, 11:01:43 PM
Scrypt? You're going to make pennies a month mining with any non-ASIC device on a Scrypt coin. GTX 1050s do pretty well in most algos if you can find them at near MSRP and you'll be able to make reasonable ROI with them. There's not really many choices for cards at that price point anymore, especially with GPU prices rising once again. Pretty much any modern GPU will work at the right price. It just depends what you're able to get used.

If you're looking to accumulate just a few coins buying them straight up may also be a good idea. Foolproof and easy.
2690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which GPU should i pick? 1070 or 1070 ti? on: January 15, 2018, 10:58:51 PM
The 1070 Ti should do better than the 1070s in most algorithms and it's the better deal if your retailer actually ships the GPU. Most 1070tis are OOS in the US and even at that price they'd be gobbled up real quick. There's no big issues with the 1070ti mining AFAIK, and even if there were any you should be able to return the GPU without much issue.
2691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: January 15, 2018, 10:46:09 PM
D3 suddenly become cheap and available, what's happened? not so much profit in X11?

There is more profit in a D3 now than has been in the past 3-4 months.
Right now your looking at $300+ per month with a single D3 (Of course that is market dependent and can shift at anytime).
Previously I was looking at almost half that.  I think the biggest problem with the D3 is lack of quality control on behalf of Bitmain. I have 4 D3's and only one is a quality miner, another 1 is a problem child and the last two only run on 2/3 boards.

can you tell me which coin gets you $300/month?
It's probably his electrical cost. At best, you're making $250 / month on Nicehash and you're getting ~$80 deducted as electrical cost at $0.10/kWh. That'd be near 3-4c/kWh though, much lower than the 10c average residential in the US.
2692  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit withdraw high fee on: January 15, 2018, 10:09:11 PM
Considering BTC withdrawal fees on most all exchanges right now are near or above $10-20, that's not bad.

YoBit has always had higher fees than most exchanges I've used. If you have an issue with it, just withdraw your coins and don't come back.

I have bad experiences with others exchanges, I have over 2000 Doge on Bittrex and I can not verificed account for withdraw (I tried several times).....
I trading and YoBit is good site for trading but I dont understand why is fee for Doge is so high.
And I trading on Doge market, for me Doge is best altcoin (because of: low fee and price).
They've got their own reasons for having higher withdrawal fees than other exchanges. As long as people continue using their platform they'll probably keep it the same. There's hundreds of other exchanges that have DOGE pairs out there, there is definitely an exchange that has lower fees than Yobit and works.

But do they have Doge market for trading?
I did not see any other exchange which has Doge market.
On cryptopia site there is Doge market but "Market Closing". :/
CoinMarketCap.com is your best friend here.

Gate.io seems to have a DOGE/BTC and /USDT pair but not sure about signups and fees. Cryptopia is pretty much the same as Yobit in my experience with high fees and wallets permanently under maintenance, etc. What happens when you try to verify on Bitfinex? Did you submit the right info, etc? They've been behind on everything recently with a surge in signups, contacting support could help out a bit too even though help may be delayed.
2693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to Overclock / Undervolt ? on: January 15, 2018, 10:02:32 PM
MSI Afterburner is what I have used and is what most people use for under and overvolting/clocking. Pretty much standard for gamers and miners. Searching online some more should show you some baselines for these modifications. You can also do em yourself by dropping a couple volts or increasing clock by a set amount and then benchmarking the GPU. If it runs, continue to lower, if it doesn't, raise the voltage and make sure it's stable.
2694  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 15, 2018, 09:45:49 PM
I wonder if MyRig would offer hosting for the DragonMint miner when and if they start to be sold. They've done that for most of the miners they sold and I'd probably be down for a unit or two if hosting is available.

The 1070 ti should be your best bet. Specific prices would help out a lot though. What sort of price difference are we talking about here? If they're ~$50US apart they should be fine. If the GPUs themselves are already high over MSRP then things get unclear. We NEED a solid price here to determine if these are profitable at all.
2697  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: looking for AntMiner machine colocation (hosting service) in US on: January 15, 2018, 09:23:31 PM
Pretty much all legitimate colocations I know of right now are fully booked and have no remaining space left. Considering the fact that you are trusting machines that are worth thousands of dollars with colocation owners, don't just accept an offer from any forum member. Always make sure they're legitimate and have good trust St the least, as anyone can run away with your miners if you send em to them.

2699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the most profitable altcoin to mine on CPU only? on: January 15, 2018, 09:14:58 PM
The question you should really be asking is just what alt is most profitable for CPU mining right now. Guessing future price and growth is something entirely different and it requires research outside of just clicking a couple buttons on a calculator.

XMR should be the most profitable CPU-mineable alt right now. Has been XMR for a long time, probably won't change.
2700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU is mostly bought by miners rather than gamers. on: January 15, 2018, 12:50:01 PM
I'm disappointed AMD doesn't massively ramp up production to meet the mining demand like they did in 2013 but I understand at the same time they might have the same problem of demand dying down for a short time and having cards that don't sell in the meanwhile. Component prices all across the board are rising, not just GPU prices, too. It's not a great time to be a PC gamer.
