It is quite awkward to see Girona being top scorer in the league with 29 goals now. None of the top teams in the league is able to score more than them yet. Those teams are competing in the Champions League as well of course but still I don't think this can be an excuse. Of course there isn't such thing like the more you score the more likely you become the champions.
However I must still admit that this is very impressive statistics. Their defense is weaker than those teams considering the amount they conceded so far. But Girona are still managing it decently despite not having as strong defenders as those teams have. Apart from that defenders like Eric Garcia and Blind are still good quality ones for Girona though.
Girona's productivity numbers are indeed impressive and even exceed the numbers of several other big league teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico. Coach Michael seems to be a strong figure who can build this team to the highest level this season so that they can be very fierce by always scoring lots of goals.
