You seems to indirectly prove my point. I everything from Russia are lies and false propaganda then logically the other side must say the truth Smiley.

false dichotomy. me saying all from russia is lies does not mean me saying all from ukraine is truth.

by the way here's a fresh example of russian lies - remember that video with "suspected ukrainian ballistic rocket" and shattering glass? a message from @chopstick here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=518645.msg8444051#msg8444051

it was reported by russian media to be a ballistic strike by ukrainian army and it was actually russian rocket blowing up near Baikonur cosmodrom in 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV6ct4GW7pw

Actually that youtube video have been uploaded by some random bloke. That guy could be Russian, Ukrainian, even Chinese, American or Zulu. I have no means to find out. Only Google and maybe God knows that (but I'm not sure about the second).
Practically I can't even rule out that you made it for supporting you standpoint here about Russian lies Smiley. So this is not a good example.
2682  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: August 21, 2014, 10:35:14 AM
oh wow, so far it was me suspecting many pro russians of being paid by kremlin. believe me or not - for what i'm saying i'm not taking a dime because it's an honest world view that you too can have if you just spend bit more time investigating the facts.

"Not saying that Russian channels don't show (counter-)propaganda" counter-propaganda to what? russia started it's propaganda war in late 2013 when euromaidan happened. i remember one particular moment when propaganda just became too obvious - it was Kiselev's reporting of Ukraine committing suicide. man if there are any checklists of what propaganda message should include - that report would fulfill all of them. it had everything from outright blatant lies to skewed information to using specially crafted rhetoric and wording that forms one's worldview. after that point things just went downhill.

if you really truly care about truth - why don't you go through entries on stopfake.org from oldest to newest and cross-check how many things you consider a fact were actually proven to be russia's propaganda?

and the virtual reality created by TV is exactly what you experience by watching russian media, ukraine just doesn't have enough experience to compete with that.

You seems to indirectly prove my point. I everything from Russia are lies and false propaganda then logically the other side must say the truth Smiley.
2683  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: August 21, 2014, 08:05:17 AM
Ebola is about 100 times less mutable than influenza.
This has implications for bioterrorism (if you have an antivirus, its not so likely to mutate around it).
The weaponization of ebola remains my concern in this.  I'm more concerned about stupid humans.
The sickness is a dire tragedy, but even so, I am not one to seek governmental assistance for its resolution and prefer a less organized response.
Nature tends to balance itself out, but unbalanced humans are so very dangerous, with immense potential for deleterious effect.

"Those from whom seek help, you also empower." - NewLiberty

Weaponization has happened long time ago:

2684  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gov to Farmers: Host Same-Sex Wedding or Pay a $13,000 Fine on: August 20, 2014, 04:04:34 PM
"When Jennifer McCarthy and Melisa Erwin asked the Giffords to use the facility for a 2012 wedding, Mrs. Gifford, a Christian, said she could only host their reception on the farm, but not the wedding. Weddings typically are conducted on the first floor of the Giffords’ home, and Mrs. Gifford argued the lesbian wedding would “literally hit too close to home...”"

So I think this stuff abusing religious freedom and property rights as well.

Blast, those gay activists expropriated "pink maffia" as well? I liked better when it meant wife/girlfriend... Sad

The robots capability is increasing by day. I wonder what would my sons do in the future if most jobs is filled with robots.

Your sons should learn robotics, so they can repair the machines vandalized by the unemployed neo-luddites, thus getting a good salary Smiley.
2687  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: August 20, 2014, 10:26:41 AM
it's not my fault that all coming from russian media is propaganda or did you not see hundreds of proven lies coming from russian national television and other kremlin puppets?

Do you really think that those gangsters in the Ukrainian parliament and their personally owned news channels are are the ultimate source of the pure truth? You can't be that naive...
2688  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American journalist James Foley reportedly beheaded by ISIS on: August 20, 2014, 10:14:17 AM
America is repeating its mistakes. the US should just let ISIS do what ever it wants, messing with them will only bring more problems.

This is what ISIS wants. The US can not afford staying away when those blokes are massacring ethnic and religious minorities. Especially not after flaunting for decades as the defender of mankind. Not to mention that they are largely responsible for the ongoing turmoil as they destabilized/destroyed the secular governments in the region.
2689  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American journalist James Foley reportedly beheaded by ISIS on: August 20, 2014, 07:50:10 AM
Everyone blames the US for almost all wars/conflicts..

I think its fucking retarded and its because they cant see the whole picture.

ISIS should be taken down.. I think arming the kurds is maybe not a good idea since it can hit back..
The kurds could start a new conflict with Turkey..

I think that the US should request more air crafts from other nations to help with the strategic bombing.

Yep, kurds can be the next chapter. Now they will have lots of modern military hardware, tons of money (oil concession to Lukoil etc) and they are practically independent now. It will be difficult to persuade them to join Baghdad again, and it will be even more difficult to persuade them to don't support kurds in Turkey.
Actually an independent Kurdistan would be the right thing. They deserve it.
2690  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American journalist James Foley reportedly beheaded by ISIS on: August 20, 2014, 07:43:21 AM
Yeah man, you're probably right. I still think it's weird that they edited out the actual execution, and that the IS guy is British. I've seen so much fake shit on the internets, I'm pretty skeptical with everything I see these days.

Don't get me wrong though, these IS guys are fucking full on nut-jobs.

At least 400 "British" jihadist have been identified by the secret service until now. Most of them are second generation Britons. So the IS guy can be British.

2692  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How dangerous is Isis [Islamic State] to America? on: August 18, 2014, 10:16:52 AM
They are not much of a threat to the U.S, mabey a few small scale terroist attacks, but nothing much to do huge damage (worse then 9/11).

Are you sure? If they can recruit a couple of hardliners in the US and a couple of others with brains, they can cause quite a big damage. Just kill a couple of blacks and spray white supremacist signs around, and then do the same to whites with black panther or similar signs. Then start campaigning on the social medias calling for revenge. What do you think, what would happen?
2693  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anita Sarkeesian - Feminist Frequency - Donating in Bitcoin on: August 14, 2014, 02:52:52 PM
Nothing that Anita says ever holds true across any of her claims.
That women are treated as sexual objects in video games?

Of course they are.  Video games are based on the most stereotypical gender models, mainly provided and promoted by the media for the masses. Let's see what kinds of widely available female gender models you can see in the media:

- rich women/heiresses with the most scandalous lifestyle possible
- pop stars/actresses with same press friendly lifestyle
- bone collections (aka supermodels) with different mental problems
- someone who's being fucked by a famous someone else
- naives and some tree hugging hippies with innocent wondering eyes

...so mostly stupid bitches (or at least portrayed as stupid bitches). As these are the most well recognized female archetypes today, game makers will naturally use the same ready to use schemes. Go and complain for change at the tabloid media.

BTW IMO this topic should be moved into the Politics and Society subforum.
2694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anonymous - #OpFerguson on: August 14, 2014, 09:58:02 AM

This shit is crazy, scary how militarised the US police have become. Maybe the UN will send in some peace-keepers  Grin

Ask Russia. I'm pretty sure they would be happy to give a hand with peace-keeping... Smiley
2695  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ebola the trigger for martial law? on: August 12, 2014, 07:12:07 PM
Ebola is not an airborne disease. It is spread only through body fluids. So that makes Ebola less contagious than the other airborne diseases such as Tuberculosis and Influenza. Therefore, I don't think sufficient justification exists for declaring the martial law.

This bodily fluids stuff is an interesting one. I think if on the tube someone sneezing at me I can get some bodily fluids... Or saliva doesn't count ?
2696  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Become Muslims by noon today... or we kill all of you' on: August 12, 2014, 11:58:18 AM
Indeed, but my is that almost no one was paying attention to ISIS when they were slaughtering Muslims in the thousands (and other minorities), but once Christians came in the line it became a head line article, and I believe human lifes should be threated equally and this just show how our western media and politics are biased....

This is quite natural. Do you think the muslims are care about what's happening in Ukraine? No, they don't. That would change if someone would start killing muslims. Same thing applies here.

This is worst than Taliban as this group are way more brutal, When Al Qaeda them selfs says these guys are crazy then you know something is wrong.
For me the question would is how to fix things, and air strikes definitely not the solution in the long terms and can possibly have the opposite effect.

Air strikes are necessary as a short term solution to stop the massacre made by ISIS, but a long term plan should involve Iraqis authorities (and neighboring countries) that should be strengthened and current authorities are bad as they prosecute a part of the population which one reason reason why ISIS is expanding.

Vietnam is the best example, for displaying the limited usefulness of air strikes. If you want to win a war against something like ISIS eventually you have to go there, look into their eyes and kill them all. That's the only remedy.

Without appropriate actions sooner or later the same will happen in our cities here in Europe.

Well, Vector inherited some goodies from Biopreparat Smiley.
2699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: August 07, 2014, 03:01:26 PM
By saying it is to costly they can basically put a price on human lives in my opinion.  The prescription drug companies basically feel they can play god if it is fiscally good for their bottom line, it sickening.

In this case costly means difficult. Zmapp isn't a vaccine (with live or dead viruses) what will/should prevent ebola but a mix of antibodies to reinforce the immune system during an ongoing infection. Breeding viruses is easy. Making antibodies is much more difficult and time consuming, especially in the case of an experimental stuff without an established manufacturing process. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZMapp

Online discussion of sexism or misogyny quickly results in disproportionate displays of sexism and misogyny

Grasping sexual dimorphism and the subsequent gender roles is not "sexism and misogyny".
