2701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 17, 2021, 01:24:07 AM
Well, seeing their records and what they've done inside the ring, I assume this has a good fight, really has.
But I put my bets for Terence, not just because he has a clean record (0-losses), he also has the reach advantage. Well, I expect higher odds for Terence Crawford as he was more popular as he was linked to Manny for a possible fight before he ends his boxing carrier.

You won't be seeing high odds for Terrence Crawford as he is the Favorite in this match. High odds are given not to the dominant one. Being linked to Manny also no relation for the odds change.

If you really like to bet on Crawford, expect odds are not that profitable unless you are ready to bet a big amount.

Try checking some sportsbooks now and see for yourself if it's profitable.

He can still get a good odds, but not on ML.

Hopefully, crypto bookies will open up a line for handicaps. And that's where the fun begins as we are going to look for attractive odds, like per round, or the exact round or even KO win for Crawford.
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 17, 2021, 12:39:30 AM
Steph Curry doing 40+ points in the pre-season game is dangerous. As everyone said, games are not played seriously in pre-season so just think what if he played seriously in that game. He comes back now to his usual shape which started last season where he carry alone the Warriors where he always produces good numbers even they are losing.

Draymond Green is the missing key for the Warriors. He should also come back at his best during the time they are dominating the league for years. Curry's big numbers are useless if there's no backup. We have seen that last season.

Not unusual for Steph to score 40 points in pre-season or regular season. Remember that he was the scoring champion last year, averaging more than 30 ppg. So this is just a "natural' game for him.

But I agree that the teams will need to so step up their game, Green and others.

Just scary to see Curry + Klay Thompson again, scoring 30 points each.
2703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: October 16, 2021, 06:06:53 AM
Take note though that Caraballo is not a one punch ko artist. If you have to look at his highlights, it's almost a accumulation of punches that makes his opponent go down.

One thing that will go for Sultan is that he is somewhat awkward and this could throw Caraballo a bit as he is a southpaw. There might be clash of heads here, just saying.
2704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC hit 70k$ this Christmas? on: October 16, 2021, 05:13:42 AM
Now it become not a question if we can hit $70k, it's a question of when.

The price is $61k and still pumping, crazy news of Bitcoin ETF today that's why the price goes up very fast. And we are still in the middle of October, a lot of leg room to make a new all time high and then hit $70k. But I don't think it's doable this month, I would say November will be the most likely target.
2705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 16, 2021, 01:59:57 AM
^^ Only two teams that I saw that happen, The Bulls 1995-1996 season (not sure if some of you have been born already) and then the Warriors 2015-2016.

Those two teams are great, they've been playing for years before they dominate the league.

So I'm not sure if Lakers with their current line up can accomplished it within one season. Not saying that they are not that good, but with the level of competition right now, it's going to be very difficult.

Lakers will not do it, they are struggling in the preseason already and that's an evidence that they will not do well early in the regular season. They will have to work on their chemistry first before I would say they have a chance, and remember, Lebron is not young anymore, he has some limitations that's why he chooses to play with the star players so his burden will be lighter.

I agree, it's hard to duplicate the teams that won 70++ games in single season, not Lakers or Nets this year. Lebron is still playing high caliber, but he is no longer in his prime and so is the majority of the Lakers team. They can go and run for the championship though, but winning a lot of games will be tough. Maybe 50 games is more likely 55++ is a stretch.
2706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin believes Bitcoin has value on: October 16, 2021, 01:11:25 AM
It signs that Putin is tolerant of crypto adoption and welcomes enough crypto world.

I totally disagree though, if he is tolerant then there's something might be for his government.

We know that Bitcoin is one of the most influencing currencies in the world and this business has been spreading around the world.
Russia is a big country, this news may lead the price of Bitcoin higher and higher again.
I read some websites that also posted about this good news, about Putin recognizing payment using cryptocurrency and also other adoption. But once more, this is not the final decision.

With or without Russian's inclusion to the so called friendly countries, bitcoin can still reach all time high, can be used by other countries as hedge or legal tender like El Salvador. Don't think that just because a big country like Russia whose government are oppressive by the way means that they can push it higher and higher.
2707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 15, 2021, 03:49:48 AM
I saw Bitcoin drops 3k$ in a day and expert says that it is all because binance restricts access of Chinese users. more negative news in relation to China will drop the Bitcoin price down, but I think bitcoin will soon recover just like before, what was your opinion about this 3k$ dropped of btc price?.

$3,000 drop is nothing, literally nothing in terms relative to the current price. After what we saw in May this year, a $3,000 daily drop is barely worth mentioning. Sit tight & strap in, the next few months are going to be very exciting.

Just this month alone, is already exciting, $60k is almost there, and then $70k and then $100k.

Again, as for the drop of $3k, yes that is nothing, so I don't know why we still reacted to that kind of movement. We've seen worst and all we can do is wait for the price to hit the bottom, then we buy, hold, easy peasy. So relax OP, everything look bright right now, wait for the biggest break out once we reach $60k again.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 15, 2021, 02:39:08 AM
In other news knicks looking solid.  Got good depth this year hopefully they can stay healthy.  Got that Christmas game against the Hawks circled.  Should be an interesting game knowing how last season ended.  I'm sure Randle will be up for that one.  Think the Knicks can squeeze a couple more wins than they did last year with this squad (pending kemba can stay off the injury report too often)  it's like the Knicks are a graveyard of great guards with past knee issues.

I agree, who wouldn't forget the Knicks last year? They have pulled a string of victories, 8 or 9 and they've always been the underdogs. That's why betting on Knicks is really very good strategy last season as they always overcome the odds.

And now it seems that they are more complete right now, and hopefully DRose and Julius Randle can lead the team again in a tough Eastern Conference.
2709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $50,000 be the resistant price? on: October 15, 2021, 01:39:05 AM
The bitcoin price ranged from $52k - $57k this week with a bitcoin price of $56,800 today. Bitcoin is holding on to the $50k mark and there will be another increase, possibly breaking the $60k market price next week.
This forecast becomes the right benchmark in investing before bitcoin rises so far.

Unfortunately, there is a big resistance on the $58k line. The last price I've seen is like $58,200-$58,300 but it quickly goes down again to $57k. And it's certain that speculators are selling at the $58k price so it might take some time to reach $60k.

I guess still the right time to invest and wait for it to go above $60k. We still have more than a week to accomplished this as I'm looking for the last week again to see some dumping before entering November.
2710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla make 1 billion profits from it Bitcoin holding on: October 15, 2021, 12:54:43 AM
If Tesla (EM) did not sell all that BTC, then it would be more accurate to say that it is an unrealized profit - and EM has stated that it has no intention of selling that BTC, although this may change at any time.

This lol. Technically, it really isn't considered as "profits" if the assets haven't been sold yet in the first place. It's quite misleading, but I guess Cointelegraph's goal was to make it misleading enough to trick people into talking about it, and here we are. 🤷‍♂️

And the same thing when people see their portfolio going down, getting in red and say that they have lost money in the market because the price goes down.

And yet they failed to realized that it is not a lost because they actually haven't sold any. So this should be a lesson to everyone. Don't call it a profit or lost when you don't sold.

As usual, Cointelegraph and any other crypto media for that matter is pure click-bait.
2711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 14, 2021, 05:15:18 AM

Boxers do take it personally, like what Canelo is for the Caleb fight. And the same here, Davis will definitely go for the KO because he is capable of, and in essence shut the mouth of Romero and give him a lesson not to trash talk to him and any champion.

It seems they hate each other there were circumstances where they almost clash in the street, it's just right that this match is created people love to see bath blood between fighters so they will see if who has the better control of his temper, this Romero is very brazen and arrogant he is telling people that Davis cannot touch, that's impossible Davis is so good at hurting his opponent, even if the opponent has a huge height and reach advantage.

Is that what they are talking about? Saying that this two has history before?

I'm not aware of such clash in the street? Is it when they are still promising fighters or when they are already professional?

In any case, this could be a good story line and maybe this is the reason why the Davis camp chooses Romero instead of chasing the other champion in this division.

It was not in the street though, do some research and this is what I found out:

Quote
“When they were at the [Errol]Spence-[Danny]Garcia fight last year in Texas, me and Floyd had to pull them apart. They were ready to bump right there. We thought they were gonna bump. Hell, if we didn’t pull them apart it would have been a better fight than Spence-Garcia turned out to be.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-ceo-on-davis-romero-better-let-them-fight-ring-street--161163

So why not a better way to finished the animosity between the two but inside the ring. And the good thing is that both fighters are promoted by Floyd himself. So no problem to set up the fight and that what we are getting in December. But I think Romero is still raw talent and he might swallow more than he can chew against a prime Davis.

Ah OK, and since both are being under Floyd's company it make sense that they will somewhat create some hype because eventually they will have to fight it out. So good marketing, I think it was setup by Floyd setup to create hype specially on his new prospect Romero. Because he knows for sure that Davis can knock out this kid, but if Romero upsets Davis, then they can have a rematch. All money goes in to Floyd's pocket.
2712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with Litecoin (LTC)? on: October 14, 2021, 03:53:42 AM
Yeah, probably those old fanboys are still accumulating as of this time.

Never heard of anything from Litecoin and I thought it's completely dead, with no development from behind. And it will still be the little brother of Bitcoin, it's not that bad as it was a obvous fork from BTC and still up to this day are being used as a gauge or guinea pig. So maybe when we reach the last stage of this bull run, we will see a good spike again on LTC.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 14, 2021, 03:30:54 AM
Nice fight and I think it will end as soon as expected since both fighters are known for their power and knock-out record. Both are still in their prime and I think Crawford has some slight advantage due to his clean record. Although Porter is the underdog, he has a high chance to win this fight because of his power and strategy. Is this also their first fight this year? then it's was a long time for both of them. I hope they still both have their power when they step in the ring.

It's not that I don't believe in Porter but Crawford is an all-around fighter and who knows how to take advantage of his height and reach, and we all know Crawford wants to have a unification bout against Spence and it could happen if he could win against Spence and Porter will just become a big stepping stone for this unification to happen.

Possible, maybe Crawford really thinks that amongst the welterweight, Porter is the weaker and it will be a great victory for him if he manage to beat a tough Porter. And then maybe he can call Errol Spence. If Spence is not healthy, then maybe Thurman, the second best welterweight we have in the PBC stable. And after that, a unification fight with Spence, it's cannot be avoided anymore and this could be the biggest fight in welterweight division.
2714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dream Bitcoin 100k on: October 14, 2021, 01:17:14 AM
Just check the price right now, it's already $58k.

It's the next biggest barrier, and obviously, the round numbers of $60k will be the next.

And once we hit it, for sure FOMO will come it again. So we are on still on the $63k target for this month. And then $80k plus November, then $100k in December. Hopefully everything will be realised, so just continue to accumulate and HODL as we are going to hear "to the moon" again, lol.
2715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 14, 2021, 12:47:13 AM
IMO, they are bad based on what they showed in the last game, yes, I believe that the main problem is the chemistry, they haven't built effective game chemistry yet so it's right that we should not easily assume that they'll win a championship together as they still have to fix that main problem.

Westbrook and Lebron are both main scorers on their team, they love to hold the ball most of the time and that is something they need to sort out to make their respective positive be as effective as expected. Anyway, preseason is still preseason, the real battle is in the regular season, so it's still early to make a judgment.
I agree with you that the current roster of the Lakers has a problem with chemistry. I think it will take them several months to improve the mutual understanding on the court. Westbrook wants to make a triple-double every game while James needs to score enough points per game to break Kareem's record. So it will be very difficult for them to share the ball with each other.

I wouldn't say that it will take several months to improve the chemistry of the team.

They just have to play in the regular season, next couple of games, and we will already know if there is a chemistry issue or not.

We have said this to Brooklyn when they acquire KD and then Irving, but there is no issue in the beginning. Same as with Harden joining. Majority are veterans and can adjust and adapt fairly quickly as they have been in the league for years already.
2716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 13, 2021, 05:10:38 AM
But as far as stamina goes, it's questionable in my opinion. I will grade Gaballo as more of it as compare to Donaire. So Nonito better be wise to conserve his energy in this fight and not to engage Gaballo. And just time him coming inside and maybe score a knock out.
That's the question since we are comparing a young and much more older fighter. Gaballo is still at 25 years of age while Donaire is at the height of a career age at 38 and we know how age matters on most of the time especially if it's about stamina. Not doubting Donaire on this since he's an athlete and athletes has high tolerance of endurance but I think Donaire may pull it off, fingers crossed.
I re-watched the Donaire vs Ouballi as well, and it seems that Nonito is just plodding in the fight. Perhaps it was due to the fact that Ouballi is a willing target for him that's why we haven't seen him tested specially his stamina in this fight. So we will see if Gaballo will take advantage of his youth by going very fast against Nonito and test his endurance throughout the fight and it might work on his favor.
That's the anticipated thing to watch for and looks like this is a test for Gaballo and looks like just passing the torch to another era of the Philippine boxing, just my two cents. It can't be denied that Donaire is really aging and it's the chance of Gaballo to show him what he really got there.

It could be the passing of the torch, and hopefully Gaballo can live up to the expectations.

He said that he idolizes Donaire so if ever beat the him it will be very hard to follow up on what Donaire did for Philippine boxing.

So let's see if the youthful Gaballo will become the new face of Donaire is still at the top of the game although I would say that he is no longer at his peak and might be slowing down.

2718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 13, 2021, 02:22:59 AM
They had already met in the preseason, this is just a rematch but hopefully, the Lakers will play harder as they have not won a single game yet in the preseason. I'd be glad to see if Lebron, Westbrook, and Davis will play together with a good number of minutes, but if not, I guess they would experience another loss.
Even if coach Vogel decides to use James, Davis, and Westbrook together in this upcoming game against the Warriors, they will definitely play no more than 20-25 minutes. By the way, I guess the Lakers will not worry too much if they lose all preseason games because the results of these games don't matter.

Yeah! what matters is their first game in the 2021-2022 season this coming game against the Warriors on October 19.

Do you guys know when Klay Thompson will be able to play again?

I think it's better for both teams to go all out in this first match to bring some heat into the games.

As per the latest news I read, Klay will be available December or January of next year.

I'm just looking at the odds for the Regular season MVP from sportsbet, what can you say about it?

I'm thinking it's going to be close between KD and Giannis, so I"m surprised that Luka is somewhat the favorite this season.
2719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China issue a nationwide ban on cryptocurrency mining, on: October 13, 2021, 01:34:23 AM
China will not allow bitcoin to be world's principal currency until the ownership of the first early mined 1.000.000 Btc is clarified. I think it is very reasonable.

But who says that bitcoin will become the world's principal currency? Still the US dollar is on top and then Yuan trying to be the next.

Those arguments against bitcoin's having a bad effect on the environment is total bulls**t. It's quite misleading actually, as there are a lot of industries that contribute more to the green house effect. Bitcoin mining is not one of them, China just created negative news about it because they have their own narrative behind.
2720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: October 13, 2021, 12:47:40 AM
Obvious target is $60k, if we reach that price without seeing any dump, then I think we can continue this bull run and then go for a $63k-$64k, or new all time high. Although the price seems to be facing a stiff resistance on the $58k level and it might take a bit longer to break it and move forward. So overall,  the market seems to be very bullish, no question about it. So it's better to just hold on right now and not sell cheap coins to those whales.
