It's such an amazing feeling if we see btc could reach up to that price this coming Christmas. Hopefully we'll just have $60k before that day comes, beyond that price I guess that's a big surprise for all of us.
Latest updates comes at $55k-$57k fluctuations, and it's just an unpredictable behavior which eventually brings an unexpected volatility which remains very exciting everyday.

And as the year comes nearly to an end, i have high hopes that it will be even more bullish since december is mostly the month of bull run. There may be price corrections that are in evitable, but knowing bitcoin it will always recover and is always bound to create another heights. And with the fast rising of bitcoin price, i know reaching $70k before christmas will be much easier. Let's get the whole crypto market become bullish by attracting good vibes from now. As the current trend happening right now its a good sign that we will bounding to that current price level so hopefully we can still see more green market condition. I always believe that the year end was always a good season for bitcoin which I have remembered most of the time year end season where the most awaited part of every investors and traders waiting for bitcoin to hit another ATH but looking back at the history of bitcoin of course not all the time the end of Q4 was always good. Of course we all really want to see if the price of bitcoin can go high again, but for the next 2 months, I think bitcoin will probably only reach a price of $62K-$65K and that will only happen if there is new hype in the market that can help bitcoin to break the strongest resistance bitcoin in $60K, in the last few weeks bitcoin has always failed to break through the strong wall of $58K price but today bitcoin has managed to do it, so we can see if the price can hold and go to the next resistance or maybe we will see bitcoin price go back down in the next few days.

We have only 2 months left and that is never something that is understandable or predictable in crypto world. We could see it going up to a level where it could basically be 100k, we can't say that it is impossible that it will not increase that much, because bitcoin is volatile and could move up that much. However it could fail and be 40k and stay there as well, that is the harsh part, if the question in our mind was just "how much it could go up" then we would be fine but it could be dropping as well.

We have no idea what is going to happen and that is a very troublesome situation we are in right now. I hope that it gets better in the future but for now the volatility cause it to have zero idea what is going to happen. Literally anything from 30k to 100k is possible in my mind, even if not 100k I would say 70k is something possible and 30k to 70k is a lot of difference and it makes me confused.

The price has been fluctuating from $59k-$60,200, and if ever we sustain the growth of $60k in the next 48 hours, we can hit $70k before the end of the month. You are right, the value of Bitcoin now is moving forward, already break $60K if this strong run will continue following the pattern, more or less it can hit the last time high before this month may end, we are just in the middle of October so many things still possible to happen and if you are aiming for breaking $70K end of this year would be not far to hold.

The chance is high to break this target and create more space; we don't know if this would lead to reaching $100K this year.

We are all speculating to what possible value Bitcoin may hit during this new bull momentum.

Well, with the current spike that is happening in bitcoin, $70k is just around the corner, and it may happen soon. Bitcoin is already at $62,626 so its not really too impossible to reach $70k before this year ends as long as there are no negative updates that may cause for the market to collapse again. But even if there are price corrections, bitcoin might fall down but not to its deepest dip because it has a strong back up already so it will easily recover after that.

However, if the rally continues, we can see more positive prices ranging from $80k-$100k after reaching its new ATH. So let's just wait and see.

If these movements would sustain then its likely we would be seeing that 70k in December but im not really that too positive because breaking previous ATH's is something hard or cant be attained easily

but honestly we aren't really that too far off with that price but the timeframe would always be unknown as always but presuming on the sentiments circling around which turns out to be positive

With how things are progressing, it seems that $70k is very possible now before this holiday.
I believe, one major boost is the approval of SEC with Bitcoin ETF.
As they will launch it next week, we will see the pulse of the market if it can sustain this increase.
When the OP created this thread, btc was in the 50k level, and only after about 10days, the increase is more than 10k.
So another 10k increase from the current price will very well achieve the target of $70k, which is feasible to happen.

Good news comes from ETFs that have allowed bitcoin trading, of course this will be a positive trend where bitcoin will remain one of the most watched pumps, in a few days the price will still stay at $60k with the existing sentiment so this can bounce again after being stuck then this will be something different after entering ATH in the next few days.
The rally will definitely continue at least $70k has reached the desired target so I don't think we are completely over in October but I see at the end of the month there will definitely be another rally.

When has it ever been an "if" for any of us postulating in Speculation, though?

I'm still a little hesitant to put all my money on ETF news. It's expected to be good and so it was expected to have happened but if/when SEC does give the go ahead (this week?), the effect will all have already been soaked in the market. On the other hand, an unlikely overturn or rejection of the coming ones would probably knock over the other upcoming applications, and then the market flip flops back into fear.
 
Mind you, that still doesn't change the if/when proposition!
