2701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: November 08, 2017, 03:52:15 PM
If I win a jackpot, I would invest the money in a money making business that would allow me to earn even if I am not working like I would build a 4 door apartment and have it leased with a minimum contract of 1 year. Portion will be invested in stocks but I will allow my bank to mange it for me since I am not going to monitor the stocks trading everyday and I will set a side a portion of my jackpot money to gambling so I still can enjoy playing even when I already enough money.
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling ends on: November 08, 2017, 02:44:40 PM
can this world stop in gambling?
someone who like to gamble hard to escape from the gambling trap. almost like a drug addict. Even after they went bankrupt still struggling to gamble by borrowing money for gambling. Actually what do they expect?
Gambling will not stop, it is regulated but will not stop. The government earn money from gambling through taxes. In my country, even the church gets a portion of the gamblings earnings. If its illegal gambling, government still have no power over it because in my country its protected by government officials, police and military, they get protection money from it. The more it will be hidden from the public, the more gamblers will find a way to gamble.
2703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to play fast on trading ? on: November 07, 2017, 05:38:24 PM
can you explain this description (how to play fast in trading).?
because I am still a beginner (newbie) and want to learn from your experience all.
thx  Smiley
I have heard of day trading but this one is new to me but when I started with trading, when I hit my target (which is relatively small) I sell right away, as long as I have a profit regardless how big or small it is I sell, but I make sure the fees are covered already, however in the long run, you will notice that holding on to your investment longer makes more money than "fast trading", for me that's more like panic trading, you fear that price will drop or whales will start dumping so you want to be ahead of them.
2704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: November 07, 2017, 05:09:07 PM
Is it better to get BTC via mining or buying now?

It was no longer profitable early this year for mining. However, with the recent price surge, does mining becomes profitable now?

If yes, any suggestion? There are quite many cloud miner in the market.

Thanks.
Mining BTC is profitable nowadays because of BTCs current price, but for you to start mining Bitcoin, you need to invest in some hardware which cost $600-$800 USD for starters and ROI might take some time. Aside from the hardware, you also have to pay electricity cost and it will also take your time so you might want to consider hiring another person to monitor your mining operations while you rest.
2705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy now or sell? on: November 04, 2017, 05:02:55 AM
I believe that the sudden rise is not the organic growth of Bitcoin and hence I am expecting a correction of at least 20% to 30% within next two months. However, it will perform very well in the long run so if you can hold it for the long term then it would be a good decision in my opinion. However, I do not recommend purchasing at this point considering the short term gains due to the possibility of the price correction.
I am thinking the same way, with the fork last October and this November 16, Bitcoin price will not reach $7,500 but its part how a commodity is being priced, there's a demand for Bitcoin because of the upcoming hard fork and on top of that, CME groups announcement that they will add Bitcoin futures. If there's a demand expect the price to go up.
2706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt buying time on: November 04, 2017, 04:46:58 AM
Should I start buying alts now? Bitcoin seems like it stabilized but it can go up anytime to $8k is what I worry about. There's still about 2 weeks until the fork,  what can I expect?
I would buy alts 2 days before hard for ends. I think altcoin holders would start dumping their alts in the final days before hard fork just like what happened when there's hard fork for Bitcoin Gold. But, I don't suggest that you put all your money in 1 alt, spread it and keep a percentage for Bitcoin to be safe.
2707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to secure bitcoin wallet?? on: November 02, 2017, 02:45:03 AM
Buy a smartphone or laptop just for storing Bitcoins. That will do a great trick and will allow you to make them safe. Don't use it for anything else
This is a good idea and I've been thinking about this lately because I thought that its not a good idea to install in your smart phone a an app to store your Bitcoin, same with sending and receiving Bitcoin. If something bad happens your smart phone like its stolen, its still possible to recover access to your bitcoin but, you need to go through all the hassle.

I remember changing phones and I downloaded the app for the local exchange in our country and I have to prove to the exchange site that I am still the same person by doing a Skype verification and besides I don't do Bitcoin transaction on a daily basis.

2709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: YOUR TRADING STRATEGY on: November 01, 2017, 11:51:03 PM
Hello all,
I am starting to day-trade on the crypto market and I was wondering what was your strategy?
For now I am just starting, I use MA, S/R levels, Fibs and RSI mainly.
What about you?
Now that BTC price is passing previous all time high and keeps on beating the recorded all time high, expect that altcoin holders will start dumping Alts in exchange for  Bitcoins. For day traders its a nightmare because you have to pick the one that you think will maintain its price or will at least climb a bit. There are Youtube videos about RSIs and look at the articles posted by Investopedia.
2710  Economy / Economics / Re: CME Bitcoin futures - share your expectation or concern on: November 01, 2017, 11:41:17 PM
I am looking at it as a positive news that will help introduce Bitcoins to those who think that Bitcoin is a bubble. If CME Group can see a bright future in Bitcoins, this can influence other parties to follow however its a double edged sword, if the announcement of CME Group somehow affected the current price of Bitcoin, this also means they can also bring the price down if they decided stop using it after testing the market.
2711  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC under 4K? on: November 01, 2017, 11:34:43 PM
There must be an earth shattering news that will bring the price of Bitcoin down to $4,000. It maybe another exchange site being hacked or maybe one of the biggest market in the world announcing that they will stop using Bitcoins just like what happened when China announced that they will ban Bitcoins, exchanges and ICOs.
2712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC is rising the price? on: November 01, 2017, 11:28:40 PM
CME Groups announcement maybe the start of something big, this group may open the eyes of other companies to take a closer of at bitcoins and look at the potential. While for now groups announcement may not be felt yet but if you are looking beyond 2 to 3 years from now I can feel that more companies and individuals will start to believe in Bitcoins as a crytocurrency and not as a tool to scam people.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 217: Bisping vs GSP Info and Betting Thread on: November 01, 2017, 03:52:58 PM
So with Freddie Roach on Georges St Pierre's corner does that change the odds? I am siding with Michael Bisping on this fight but after I saw a video clip Boxings hall of Famer Freddie Roach I think GSP has a bigger chance to to win this fight as Freddie Roach is helping him with his striking skills. GSPs ground game is good but if he adds striking to his arsenal, he may disappoint Bisping this coming Saturday.

I've seen Freddie Roach make Mike Tyson a changed Boxer after training him. Without Roach, Tyson rely more on his power punches but after Roach stepped in the training camp, Tyson is ducking punches, moves faster and his punch is more precise.
2714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $10,000 before the end of the year? on: November 01, 2017, 03:37:19 PM
$10,000 USD is with in reach by end of this year and it will be more possible if China make an announcement that they will lift the ban on Bitcoin and exchanges. Positive news not fud is what Bitcoin needs to pump the price to $10,000 USD and beyond. Bitcoin was able to recover from the fud that dropped Bitcoin price to $3,800, what more if there is no ban at all.
2715  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there legit mining site? on: October 31, 2017, 12:45:20 PM
I just wanna know if have a mining site legit. thanks
I know Bitmain operates Hashnest and they showed their operations already you can search for that in Youtube and Genesis-Mining also showed where their operation is located and showed a short video of the operations inside their warehouse like operations center, however that doesn't mean they are legit. Maybe they have those rigs in operation but the rewards that you get are actually the same money that you sent to them when you bought hash power and also others who bought hash power with them.
2716  Economy / Economics / Re: Central of the Philippines Recognizes Bitcoin on: October 31, 2017, 12:34:38 PM
Philippine Government is indeed recognizing Bitcoin and they already issued a few license permits to operate a Bitcoin exchange. Problem is the Philippine media is not giving Bitcoin the kind of media exposure that it needs. Few days ago an investigative show discussed use of Bitcoin, if its a scam or not, they only interviewed those that joined HYIPs and ponzis and did not interview those who earns Bitcoin in legit way.
2717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nova Exchange is Closing on: October 31, 2017, 12:28:31 PM
From what I heard, Nova Exchange will have a new owner by April 2018 and no new registrations will be accepted starting October 30 and by November 30 nova exchange will disable deposits. Trading will stop by end of February 2018. Funds must be moved until April 01 2018 or else those that are left in Nova Exchange will be considered a property of Nova Exchange. I'm still skeptic with that information that was shared to me.
2718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese will be allowed to trade Bitcoin again soon on: October 31, 2017, 12:14:54 PM
People expected to collapse Bitcoin once China ban exchanges but BTC recovered quickly and hit ATH. So with or without china, BTC will continue to Moon.
If you want Bitcoin to Moon you have to accept the fact that more people using Bitcoin, more demand, Bitcoin price goes to the Moon. Yes Bitcoin was able to recover after China banned using Bitcoin but imagine what would have happen if China did not ban Bitcoin and there's forks after forks happening. $8,000 USD? $10,000 USD?
2719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex or Poloniex. which one do you like to trade? on: October 31, 2017, 11:20:35 AM
Poloniex used to be my favorite but I transferred to Bittrex because polo has many issues and I am afraid that I will encounter the same issue with just like everybody. Bittrex is doing good so far and I like how it has many coins to choose from.
Same here, I started trading with Poloniex and I love their UI, dashboard is very easy. Their support group sucks, they don't reply to tickets and their pairs list seems to be growing in a very slow paced. Its very seldom that they list a new token or coin. My only problem now with Bittrex is the whales in Poloniex transferred to Bittrex. You can easily tell that the price is being manipulated by whales when they place a huge wall so price will not move.
2720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do you think about pump and dump? on: October 31, 2017, 11:11:23 AM
Don't chase the pump, some traders look for coins that are currently being pumped and when they have enough coins in stock and plan to sell, price starts to drop (dump), and you are left with a coin that you bought at high price. If someone tells you to invest in this or that coin on this day, that's already a clue for you not to buy the coin and look the way.
