Ouch i just sold my few bitcoin because i thought that the price will going back to $2,500 i just sold my bitcoin i think around $3200..
What the hell looks like there are other investors that can manipulate the price remember china has a largest bitcoin farm that i think they can sell their holding anytime and let other people in china to buy a cheap price of bitcoin..
And i think this will the sign of burst increasing soon ..

I think it is better to hold now. After the Chinese exchanges are closed, they cannot manipulate the market any more. So the price will rise again.

Why do you think they are manipulating the prices to go down? They need to sell so if they manipulated would be to go up fo now
2702  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Qual o impacto dessa ação no preço? Chineses não podem depositar CNY on: September 15, 2017, 05:07:14 PM

Also note that they have disabled CNY deposits. So arbitragers will not be able to buy and resell the coins to western markets

Eu estou com uma enorme dificuldade de entender pq essa noticia teve um impacto tão positivo no preço. Só li analise tecnica, mas nada fundamentalista.

Announcement on closing ViaBTC exchange platform
2017-09-15 03:14:32
On September 4th, China's central bank together with six other departments released a public statement  on regulation policies and warning the risks of ICO projects. As a responsible cryptocurrency exchange platform, ViaBTC (www.viabtc.com) has made a serious decision to carry out the spirits of the policy - we will officially close the website www.viabtc.com for exchange business in Mainland China on September 30th. Before that we will complete processing of all withdrawal requests of CNY and cryptocurrency assets. ViaBTC mining pool (pool.viabtc.com) and cloud mining services will not be affected.

The arrangements are as follows:
Sept 25th: Closing of registration, asset deposits and all trading pairs
Sept 30th: Closing of website www.viabtc.com

Please make sure to withdraw all your assets including CNY and cryptocurrency before September 30th, after which ViaBTC website www.viabtc.com will be officially closed in Mainland China.

Notice: Due to bank system time limits, CNY withdrawals on non-work days will be postponed for processing till the next work day. Cryptocurrency withdrawals won’t be affected by this. If you haven’t found a reliable wallet for your coins yet, we recommend you to withdraw your crypto assets to our mining pool (pool.viabtc.com) wallet. We will guarantee 100% safety of all your assets.

Since the launch in June this year, ViaBTC exchange platform has been providing services for nearly 100,000 global users. We appreciate all your support and trust in us. Thank you for being there with ViaBTC.

If you want to go from Alt to USDT and you could choose between BTC and ETH, like OMG and others, what is your choice?

2713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Bitcoin Exchanges Will Likely Not Be Banned on: September 14, 2017, 07:00:26 AM
This was being said since the begging. They will not ban anything. Just try to adjust making some rules. Especially when using fiat money. But the thing is, they will freeze temporarily all transaction using CNY. Bitcoin, ICO and ALts. So, if people would need money in that time they will have to trade p2p
2714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: September 14, 2017, 06:55:40 AM

Wow! this is great mate. Litecoin has big potential for future. Holding coins for long term is a good decision . But my only problem is I don't have more BTC. I'm doing short term trading to earn more bitcoin and use my profits to hold coin for long term...

Ehh, moderators should ban all this spammer acounts. They are making rep using bots and selling accounts. Thats pathetic. Every thread has some. They come in, write some gibberish shit and quote OP's first post.

There is any reason why they always quote the original post?

2718  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DUMP - CHINESE ARE OFFLOADING... on: September 13, 2017, 02:51:53 PM

I know what it is. I am asking if @stompix know.
2719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 13, 2017, 02:49:18 PM

...I still am not going to give a whole hell-of-a lot of weight to how much emphasis you seem to be giving to lines on a chart.

Remember that "lines on a chart" are formed by traders, the most influential of which read charts. So it's a feedback loop which is why they have such an effect.

People who buy on fundamentals to long term invest are not usually daytrading so they only have a momentary effect on the market. Otherwise, the price is driven by the small amount of coin supply that sits on exchanges and gets traded (according to chart interpretations).

That's why they can be a mathematical "inevitability". If there's a significant crossover then traders sell - because they know that every other seasoned daytrader is reading that same signal and acting upon it. Doesn't matter about fundamentals because they get priced in long term.

I like the way you think, it's very rare for someone to talk like this here. Using logic in arguments.
2720  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DUMP - CHINESE ARE OFFLOADING... on: September 13, 2017, 02:19:32 PM
If someone is selling, some other is buying. So bitcoin will not die because of China.

We are in a bear market and the bottom is $2400. China have the biggest population in the world, hence the dump will be severe.

Yeah the problem is that more people are selling than people are buying and aggravating is the fact that people are willing to sell lower and lower.

And what is the correlation between China's Population and bitcoin?
They might be many but in terms of wealth they lag behind US and the EU and in terms of bitcoins owned they are standing even worse.

I wouldn't go that far. They're a small part of the total market - most of the trading takes place in the west. I think people would like China to continue to participate in the great bitcoin experiment, they have stars in their eyes about 1 billion people etc. The reality is most chinese don't participate and they are behind a firewall anyway.

The rise up to $4800 was driven by the west. It went too fast, we'll see a correction on the back of this "news", and then it will resume it's upward movement in a few months.
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/ says to me they have more than 50% the volume, not so small

Coinmarketcap says otherwise:

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/

Looking at exchanges with fees

#1 is Bitfinex, which is Hong Kong based and exempt from the China rules (as it is subject to HongKong Sar rules)

''''''''''

#15 is BTCC which is Chinese
So the Chinese exchanges are lower down the list and definitely total way less than 50% of trading.

And there is somebody missing from that list and it's a huge one.
Coinbase which doesn't publish volume. And I have the feeling it tops quite a lot of exchanges in number of coins going through.

What is GDAX?
