2701  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: August 01, 2021, 11:46:06 AM
I also feel the same way because why keep panicking when the price drops and immediately sell and then when the price goes up immediately sell for take profit even though if you look at the long term chart, BTC is very promising.  We often do panic buy or sell.  Whales on the other hand continue to make issues in their favour.
Bitcoin is not for all people. It's only good for people who have some characteristics like: brave, patient, determined and strong mentally.

You can practice, experience in the market with Spot trading or HODL. You should not and won't have too many chances to practice if you do it with Margin tradings. Your account will be liquidated with Margin calls and you will lose both your capital, your confidence and perhaps your family.
2702  Other / Meta / Re: Animated Avatar on: August 01, 2021, 11:32:51 AM
Any idea how many of the forum members are still wearing the animated avatar or i am the only one left  ?
You are not alone and there are members who wear animated avatars. Some of them are yahoo62278 or Vod.

Animated avatar like the one is worn by Vod is not annoying. It is slow and friendly enough. You even don't realize it is an animated avatar if you don't look at it for a few seconds.
2703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: July 31, 2021, 10:32:08 AM
Sure, if it breaks $45K, the BTC price will go to retest $50k as the next target. But we don't know a certain time to reach $50k. It can be in a week, two weeks, or more. Well, first of all, the current price is about $40k, and try to survive. Let's see if BTC price can survive and go to the next target $45k. Then, we can talk about the possibility of $50k and $60k.
The Stock to Flow model is validated and $100k is even the mid of this bull run. If you don't want to take risk and are fearful of losing profit by not taking it when price rises to $50k, you can sell it.

But be aware of the Stock to Flow model and prepare a feeling that you won't regret if Bitcoin has price higher than $65k. I am sure we all feel happy when taking profit but the feeling of regret when don't take profit at top is hard to accept.

2704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin worth so much? on: July 31, 2021, 10:07:43 AM
Many other cryptocurrencies have been improved upon based on Bitcoin. In other words, Bitcoin must be inferior to them, but why is Bitcoin's value number one by far?
Why is Bitcoin worth so much? Huh
I share two long articles for you to read. I am sure you will find answers after you read all of them.

The bullish case for Bitcoin
Equivalent Network Time

You will get points that Bitcoin will become more scarce with time and miners will have less Bitcoin reward from mining with same resources they spend to mine Bitcoin (energy, rigs, time).
2705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting paid in Bitcoin vs getting paid in Fiat on: July 30, 2021, 03:43:13 PM
Which type of currency is better for paying employees? Is it Bitcoin or Fiat? Do you think we'll be able to see more jobs paying Bitcoin in the future?
Fiat is bad if employees want to have Bitcoin? They will have to pay fees to buy Bitcoin with fiat.

Paid in Bitcoin has pros and cons. Bitcoin is volatile and if payment is processed before a big crash, $100 in payment can be dropped to $80 after one to few hours. Employees don't like it.

I would like to receive my payment in USDT and after I wake up, I won't lose any in fiat value. If I want I can use $100 USDT to buy Bitcoin anytime I want. USDT transaction is faster than bank transfer.
2706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a tool which can automatically indicate the support and resistance? on: July 30, 2021, 03:39:19 PM
I specify the time frame, it tells me where the support and resistance is for that time period. And if it can give me multiple points basted on strength shown by percentage, that's be fantastic.
You must know that supports and resistances are traps from whales.

No tool can help you to differentiate real supports, real resistances, and traps from whales. They are changing with time. If you use tools, you will be more careless and you will be more easily trapped. Because you believe in tools, you don't have independence in your thoughts and decisions. It's bad.
2707  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Exchange Binance Launches Tax Reporting Tool on: July 30, 2021, 03:30:37 PM
Seems like Binance want to become the biggest CEX ever by cooperate with many regulations, the third party could ask more KYC of Binance user since in tax reporting they need a lot identity to calculate the correct taxes. I wonder if it's really free to use the tax reporting tool since hiring a reputable accountant to calculate the tax isn't free.
Centralized exchanges don't care about privacy of customers. They will do anything that is mandatory required by governments. They will implement new policy to meet regulations from governments.

If you use centralized exchanges, you can not require them to protect your privacy. When you submit documents to verify KYC on centralized exchanges, your privacy is broken.

2708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Speculators have a lot of "enemies", many of which come from themselves on: July 29, 2021, 11:41:07 AM
Speculators have a lot of "enemies", many of which come from themselves,They were able to successfully destroy him from within. At that time, many of the mistakes made by funds appeared in my mind.
Speculators who are not professional and skillful are not different than gamblers. They can consider themselves as traders, investors or speculators but they are gamblers from what they do.

Gamblers usually are punished by the market and the market does not mind what they call themselves as.

If speculators use 10x, 20x, 50x or 100x for their trades because of whatever speculation they have in minds, they are gamblers and will be punished with market crashes, with news, with policy-related manipulations.
2709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin price Benchmark on: July 29, 2021, 10:10:51 AM
Frankly, I'm very surprised to see Bitcoin at $40k right now. I think it's a temporary boost that will correct itself because it was probably based on fomo around debunked rumors of Amazon planning to start accepting Bitcoin. Unless something else happens within the next few days to keep the price up, I don't feel confident about Bitcoin managing to even keep the price at $40k, let alone go higher. I agree with franky1's expectation window as being reasonable, but indeed, it's hard to make predictions that make sense beyond the specificity of this frame.
Bitcoin might be corrected to $36k or $35k. Frankly, I am surprised with this soar of Bitcoin as well.

The B World's talk between Cathie, Jack and Elon help people get their belief back. The Q2 financial report from Tesla help them believe in future pump from Elon Musk. The news regarding to Amazon help them to buy at top of this recover. Congratulations to top buyers!

They were fearful when the market gives them discount below $30k and bought above $38k to $39k. They actually did great works. It will takes time for Amazon to build up payment gates for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency on their platforms. I think it will happen faster than JP Morgan (4 years) but it won't happen in a few weeks.
2710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It feel good to see Bitcoin going well on: July 29, 2021, 10:04:35 AM
Agreed with BTC ranging close to 40K confidence is increased and more people are thinking that this may well be the beginning of a new ATH. It is possible, though, nothing like this ever happened before so it will interesting to see if BTC market keeps to it's history or if it will make new history.
When people feel too optimistic and don't see risk, it is one of riskiest time to join the market. Long term it is not risky but most of people join the market don't have long term vision and they won't plan to hold Bitcoin more than a few months.

Quote
As for Ghost month, personally, have not seen a believable correlation between the 7th month and BTC price, and it would again be interesting to see where August takes us...
Is it true? Ghost month does not mean anything to Western nations? Do you know how big the capital on the market belongs to Eastern nations? If they don't contribute too big capital on the market, the Ghost month does not have big effects on global market.
2711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Always take profit on: July 28, 2021, 04:13:58 AM
"Always take profit" is pretty much the exact opposite advice any rich person will give you.  Whether you talk to Warren Buffett or Michael Saylor, they will both tell you the way to wealth is to buy good assets and never sell them.  If you need money you borrow against your good assets (as both did by selling shares in publicly traded companies).  Always taking profit sounds like a trader's desperate attempt to capture some gains after suffering many losses.  In that scenario, the real winner is the exchange taking your money each time you make a trade.
Always is wrong but taking profit in each big bull run is good. We invest to take profit, not to hodl bitcoin or any altcoins forever.

If Bitcoin rises from under $20k to $64k and I don't take profit, I should regret it. However, have an approach to take profit, I might possibly take profit at price lower than $64k. It can be $40k, $50k but if I take profit, I will feel happy with it.

If I take profit at $50k, I will buy back at $40k. Even I can not buy at bottoms under $29k, I feel happy with my buy back, because I have more Bitcoin.
2712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public companies That own Bitcoin on: July 28, 2021, 04:06:07 AM
I am curious about how to get the data? I don't know if the list above is trustable (valid) or not, but I am surprised I can't find Binance there. Or Binance company is formally written with another name?  Huh
From reports of those companies.

Another website that gives information for Bitcoin Treasuries: https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/treasuries/
You can use it for cross-checking with infographics from Coin98 or others. When you use given data from third party companies, it is for reference and you never knows how accurate it is.
2713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Always take profit on: July 28, 2021, 03:41:59 AM
It's easy to enter with good entry point but the challanging thing is taking profit before a retracement and most of the times this retracement could be a beginning of a new trend changing a winning trade to loss. And in situations where the trader fails to apply stop loss there could be chances of blowing off ones account. A profit taken is better than a loss made no matter how small accumulation of smalls makes a mighty bulk.
Taking profit has two types
- Taking profit from Bitcoin or altcoins to stable coins or fiat currency but you are waiting to join the market again. It is risky. Because if you rejoin the market when the trend flips from uptrend to downtrend, you might lose your profit.
- Taking profit from your Bitcoin or altcoins and use it to buy real asset: cars, real estates, etc. It has less risk. At least you own something in your hands, for your life, and you buy it from your real money, not from loan. They are liabilities, someone will argue it but those liabilities give you real use cases and have less risk of value loss than cryptocurrency.

In bear market, cryptocurrency can lose 90 to 99% of its all time high values.

Quote
Have you considered taking profits of $1-3$ repeatedly
It is not necessary because you will end with nothing if you deduct trading fees on exchanges.
2714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon wants Bitcoin to be a Currency not a Asset from the 'B' Word on: July 27, 2021, 10:31:56 AM
So how's it going to work with Amazon accepting Bitcoin payments now Huh

Bitcoin is volatile, like its gone up $10k from last week then how is bitcoin is suited for amazon payments?
Amazon made their official announcement after rumour spreads out too fastly. See their announcement Amazon: No, We Have No Plans to Accept Bitcoin Payments

It is how news is volatile, changeable and we should never be over optimistic or pessimistic when we read news.

Quote
Or is this Jeff Bezos plan to expose himself to Bitcoins instead of buying them through OTC hence he doesn't care whether BTC is volatile?

Amazon gonna bring their own Stablecoin called Amazing or Amaze coin ticker AMZ I think from the leaks. Then you got 'amaze pay' infrastructure on top of that. If Jeff Bezos doesn't like bitcoin volatility then he can abandoned Bitcoin like Elon Musk did and crash the whole crypto bull party later this year.
The time of own-built cryptocurrency on Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, etc. will come but it will not come too soon. Until the governments put more regulations into force, they will not accept those attempts from Amazon or other Big Techs.
2715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero: A good long-term investment? on: July 27, 2021, 10:25:14 AM
Monero will continue to face scrutiny from mainstream governments until it's hard enough for people to get access to it. I wouldn't recommend Monero as a serious long-term investment since constant de-listings from crypto exchanges will only do more harm than good to its price relative to Fiat. Only cryptocurrencies with transparent blockchain ledgers (like Bitcoin and Ethereum) will continue to grow in price as governments "legitimize" them over time.
Bitcoin was called as a fraud in many years. Even in 2017, JP Morgan called Bitcoin is a fraud. After 4 years of silence and preparation, they give their customers access to crypto funds.

With how everything's been moving, it looks like Monero will only be used by a small minority (mostly tech-savvy people, privacy advocates, and libertarians). While you may not be able to access Monero with Fiat in the future, you can still get some coins through a decentralized exchange or atomic swaps. What matters is that Monero stays decentralized so that it could resist government censorship. As long as the Blockchain is alive and healthy, nothing else matters. Just my opinion Smiley
Monero is the main target of governments to break down its private blockchain. I see that governments will not officially legitimize Monero if they can not break its privacy. What will happen with Monero and response from governments if they break the privacy of its blockchain? After some serious regulations, lawsuits, will they accept Monero?

2717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: July 26, 2021, 04:47:41 PM
right now the price is over 150$ and if i invest right now then my ROI will be negative. and i bought over 150$ and stake then all of sudden market will fall then i also in loss both yield and in investments. but long hold and stake could give me a great reward but only if crypto will boom in 2023
Why did you not think altcoins will have another season in this year?

This year or next year, it does not matter if you are investor. Ethereum has to spend more than three years from 2018 All time high to reclaim it and double it to make a new all time high.

DASH is suffered too much from attacks and regulations on privacy coins. We know regulations don't last forever and DASH will have its time some day to shine up.  Smiley
2718  Other / Meta / Re: Change name ? on: July 26, 2021, 04:34:47 PM
You can not change your username if you are not donators, VIP members or you don't have big contributions in the community.

The exception is if your username has personal information that can put you under dox attack. I think your username is not this case.
Done. Now only moderators, Donators, and VIP members can change their names automatically. Other members should contact me. I'll probably ignore your request if you have less than 50 posts (unless your posts are very good).

You can't. You can try PM an admin and they may do it, but they usually don't. You can just create another account  with that name if you feel like you need it.

Bitcoin is firstly a ledger and secondly a currency.
Bitcoin is Bitcoin and it is not a ledger. The ledger is what Bitcoin blockchain is, not Bitcoin is.

Bitcoin has more use cases than a currency. It is a digital asset, a digitalized asset of storage. You don't need to call it as a digital currency to use it and you don't need government approvals to use Bitcoin.

If you have private key, and internet connection, you can use Bitcoin.

If you need to have a good wallet for privacy, you can use Bitcoin Core or Wasabi wallet

I noticed there's only 2 exchange Bitesell echange Digifinex was part of it a week ago
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitgesell#markets, did they delist Bitgesell, or they are correcting the link, the link used to redirect to BTC-USDT if I may recall, Digifinex is still a good exchange I traded here many times and they are a good exchange to use.
Digifinex charges 60 BGL for each withdrawal. They show the drop down menu for fees as Normal (60.0000 BGL) but there is no option for slow, fast withdrawal.

On Hotbit, the withdrawal fee is only 20 BGL.
