2701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone Else Noticing This on: December 16, 2014, 03:44:48 AM
seems you didn't pay a fee and your sending address has unconfirmed tx in it aswell.

it'll probably confirm eventually, but don't hold your breath...

This might be the issue. I haven't made too many transaction in past week, only 2 actually with 20k Sat fee and they got confirmed very fast, with 1st confirm under 15 min.
2702  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lost blockchain identifier; no backup on: December 16, 2014, 03:38:26 AM
I don't think blockchain will help in this but I might be wrong. If you don't know the identifier, they will ask you to get it from your registered e-mail, which as you say you cannot remember, it will be a tough call for them. Ask the support and please keep us updated on how this went.
2703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why my doge is going down ? on: December 15, 2014, 07:18:51 AM
Shocked Shocked Shocked i bought some doge and wanted to go to the moon, but it seems it is going down to the center of the earth, why is that?

It's going down because simply there is no demand for it. You can hold it if you believe it will go up but it might not and you'll end up losing more. I say leave it and move on to something else.
2704  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to somehow download all personal messages? on: December 15, 2014, 07:12:57 AM
No but there really should be one.

I would think the people who conduct business would have hundreds of pages worth of messages and the search function for PMs is really not very good, and people could create their own DB of their PMs if they could be downloaded

Surely a download feature would be useful but the search function is pretty easy:

2705  Other / Off-topic / Re: We miss BipolarBob!!! on: December 15, 2014, 06:20:27 AM
What crazy giveaways did he do?

free 0.02 bitcoin...

just put your btc address on thread!

Bitcoin address:   177777iciAzEV7MQoiHgobrgm6dXgFdhMW

Post address in the giveaway thread, not here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=869442.msg9631126#msg9631126

Stop spreading beg spam

That address posting was a joke. And the thread you mentioned is locked and he already did another giveaway of AGC yesterday I think, which I missed and he'll probably do one more soon which I am sure I'll miss again. So yaye!!
2706  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will there ever be a password manager safe from keyloggers? on: December 15, 2014, 06:04:32 AM
If you want to be 100% save from keyloggers, use the screen keyboard. I don't think they capture your screen...

And soon you'll find out that them on-screen keyboard programs had the key-loggers built in. How can you not trust one but trust the other?
2707  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is reddit so popular? on: December 15, 2014, 05:37:58 AM
Reddit's interface is really easy once you get the hang of it and it's really a nice place to read and get knowledge on almost everything. Not to mention you'll meat very nice people who'd help you with any query within seconds. Just choose the subreddit that interests you and you'll find yourself visiting it everyday.

Your friend is not the only one with this problem. All gr8 Gamblers don't know when to stop and end up losing not only their winnings but their deposit as well. He's lucky that he came out in profit.
2709  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Synchronizing... Green Light.... Synchronizing.. on: December 14, 2014, 01:44:29 PM
How long should a freshly installed electrum with new addresses generated take to sync? It's not stopping, it goes to 'Synchronizing' then appears the Green Light and then it goes back to RE-Sync??

Seconds, try a different server.

Also, where does it stores the data it downloads while Synchronizing??

I dont know for sure, but I suspect in memory.

[Experts only please]

Changing the server worked. Smiley

One more question. the "Auto Connect" button, should it remain clicked or not?

2711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin mentioned in Horrible Bosses 2 movie on: December 14, 2014, 01:08:25 PM
It was just a matter of time.

There's an article on cryptocoinsnews:

Horrible Bosses 2 Features Bitcoin Cameo

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/horrible-bosses-2-features-bitcoin-cameo/

Quote
While preparing to launch the scheme, the three friends reconnect with Motherf—er Jones (Jamie Foxx), a seemingly street-wise character who spent ten years in prison for recording movies illegally. Jones uses his black market connections to buy prepaid cell phones, which the friends intend to use to communicate with the father of their now-complicit captive. How does Jones know the cell phone purchase was untraceable? He paid with “Bit Coins,” of course. However, Jones simply mentions the transaction in passing; the audience does not see him make the Bitcoin purchase.

I hope this doesn't looks bad  Embarrassed. Good news that BTC was featured in a movie but criminal using it to buy untraceable goods, thats not how I would like to describe it to people.
2712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help with blockchain. No authorization email received. on: December 14, 2014, 01:02:50 PM
I suggest you move those funds asap if you have keys for your addresses inside that blockchain wallet OP. Blockchain is having too many problems, just stroll around the forum and you'll easily find 4-5 threads at-least about people having trouble with blockchain wallet. This was the same problem I had with bittrex some days back and as soon as I received the email I moved all my funds.
2713  Economy / Speculation / Re: The question is not what will you do if BTC hits $10 on: December 14, 2014, 12:37:52 PM
I don't think it will drop that low but even if it goes below say $300 (I hope it doesn't) but if it does I think it would be a good time to buy and you're right one needs to be prepared for it will be a very small window to get in.
2714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pro's, please give little bit advise on this sites on: December 14, 2014, 12:13:58 PM
They are just a waste of time. You should learn about Bitcoin basics and make smart investments. Faucets, low value giveaways etc. don't worth your time.

Yeah, It's best if you buy some bitcoin and try and either gamble with it or try trading with it. Faucets will give you nothing but sore fingers and a neck-ache. Also make sure you avoid Microwallet faucets as they're having problems. GL
2715  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best sites that gives free bitcoin ? on: December 14, 2014, 12:08:25 PM
Best you're going to find for free are faucets

Try Landofbitcoin.com

That is a good site for faucets but most of the faucet their use Microwallet as payment method and it's having some problems, so just avoid Microwallet faucets OP and I would suggest you to try Primedice.com. They have a free faucet and then you can gamble and try to multiply it. But the best option for you is just buy some, maybe $5 worth of BTC and try and gamble with it. I know it's not the best option but you won't be able to make any money with faucets.

This is the reason why I have never traded at localbitcoin. I don't trust them.
2717  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: What do you think of coinbase.com? on: December 13, 2014, 06:16:11 AM
maybe blockchain is betther than it  Roll Eyes and more secure

Is blockchain selling bitcoin now? I think OP was asking if it is safe to purchase bitcoin from coinbase not asking about wallets.

Hi Everyone,
I am a new enthusiast of bitcoins. I would just like your review on https://www.coinbase.com/. How long does it take? is it reliable? Should I purchase it from here and how much identifications do I need?

2719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got some free btc online, but the microwallet still no pay for me! on: December 13, 2014, 06:03:45 AM
I haven't used faucets in a long time and most of them use microwallet. If you can't find a way to contact them, maybe it's better you try to contact the faucet owners and inform them that microwallet is not sending payments.
2720  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ROBBED on: December 13, 2014, 03:54:11 AM
Wait... now I am confused...  Multibit?  You must enter your pw for any multibit send.  When you click transactions on that wallet in multibit does it show it?  When you say u had a good password do you mean like 16+ characters using all combos?  Or 6 character 15yo3x?

This is what I am wondering, how does hackers steal the passwords, do they have some sort of key loggers, if the wallet and keys were encrypted there's no way to steal those without knowing the password.
