It's not 234x60.  Roll Eyes

He's just the ideas man. He has "people" to attend to the boring details...

Love this. The 50 clamsare rightfully yours sir!

Jk, I might enter soon if I have time.
2702  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hamburger or Pizza on: January 10, 2015, 04:18:01 PM
It's hard to choose as there are many different varieties of pizza and hamburger. In some places, they sell pizza-hamburger crossovers, so you can have both!
2703  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the best poster of 2014 ? on: January 10, 2015, 05:03:34 AM
Thousands of people created millions of thread in BitcoinTalk in 2014. Some of them were very interesting and enlightening. Some enriched us with its data and analysis. Standing on the end of 2014, whom do you think was the best poster of 2014 ? Please make your judgement by quality, not quantity Wink

...It would be great if you mention the preferred posts of your favorite poster. Smiley

hum..
this could be a interesting question...

maybe theymos could do a poll and assign some reward to the first, second and third qualified!!!

Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

That would be really shady...we aren't a bank where the top ten traders get +10% reward or so Cheesy

but bitcoin alk do not have some fund to promote forum activity???

I thought that bitcointalk have funds available for this.
Also, I did not think at high awards.
I thought something like 0.5btc for the first, 0.25btc for the second and 0.1btc the third ..
or something like this...
and this would only be once a year !!!
 Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

They have the funds, just really not for to 'promote forum activity' in such a way. I guess maybe some yearly competitions could be fun though this forum doesn't really seem the type to dish out money via such giveaways. I think if it was to happen it would have to be for something that couldn't be exploited and mere votes/voting could unfortunately.

Normal forum voting will definitely be exploited. But, if the voting takes place with bitcoin, i.e. each user need to spend bitcoin to vote an user and the prize value is less than the total amount of spent, then it would probably not be outright exploited. But, there might still be some possibilities of rigging.

Maybe if a vote did happen, votes would have to be tied to the account, and also you would have to be full member or higher to vote. Just a suggestion, still can be abused but probably less so.
2704  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: January 09, 2015, 09:18:49 PM
how do you become a full member?

With time. After you make ~126 posts, and have been on the forum for 126 days or more, you will automatically become a full member.

I am pretty sure the limit is 120 posts not 126.

You are correct, I will edit my post.

EDIT: The first post is corrected now!  Smiley

2706  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What about BitClix ad service? on: January 09, 2015, 08:53:41 PM
I have tried this site and I am happy to say it works, I use bitclix on my site http://bitcoinshowers.com however, their stats are bad, I don't know which ad is paying me what, etc. However, payout is pretty good, I've gotten 20,000 to 80,000 satoshis per click.

20k-80k satoshis that sounds a lot per click. anyone esle who had some clicks paid by bitclix? thanks

Sometimes I had same but now I usual get 10 000 per click and only 2 click in 24hours.

standard is 10000 per click, did get more when they just started. My clicks end up around 1 a day, compared to other ad services(a-ads and adbit.co) that is not much, they bring up 60.0000 per day, for an average of 3 clicks. But every bit(coin) counts Smiley

so they pay only for clicks? not for views = CPM?

Yes, they only pay for clicks. No views, only clicks. Also, most of the ads are text ads, not picture ads.
2707  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Want a google voice number even if you live ouside the US? Your own US phone #! on: January 09, 2015, 03:38:09 AM
Has anyone used google voice to verify paypal?

I am pretty sure that it can verify PayPal, but I haven't tried it. Here at bitcointalk we have no need for PayPal Smiley
2708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Google Adsense Allow Bitcoin Ads To be Displayed Alongside Them? on: January 08, 2015, 11:45:50 PM
Thanks for all the help guys, I recently got approved for google adsense! Smiley

please let me ask again because it would be very helpful  to know it.
could you please tell us how long it took to get the approval? thanks

For me it took 3 days, however the approval speed depends on where you live and how good your website is.

wow that was fast. thank You for info, very much appreciated. could You name best countries? I am not asking Your country Smiley

Best countries are the countries that google considers "developed" like the USA and the UK.

Why dont just use anonymous ads, they are better.

Google ads will put misleading ads on your website that is probably not interest to the bitcoin viewers.

Anonymous ads will put only bitcoin related ads there, so the advertised will gain more impressions.

Because google AdSense pays much more than a-ads.

Thanks for all the help guys, I recently got approved for google adsense! Smiley
Can give url of your website? I really want to see it

You can find his site's URL on the personal text on his profile page. Smiley

Yup, my site is in my profile, it is http://bitcoinshowers.com

Thank you, I recieved my bonus!

Any chance stunna will do this again? Its a shame, I missed this near years and stuff..

Very likely, primedice holds a lot of giveaways, that's one of the reasons why they are so popular.
2710  Economy / Services / Re: I will build a faucet for you, for FREE on: January 08, 2015, 04:49:16 AM
I was planning to build my Faucet but i don't know how to increase traffic there
Will make and donate if you can teach

Edit : Pm me i want a Discussion

Increase the rewards, make low threshold, advertise in popular BTC faucets such as moonbitco.in, freebitco.in , don't spen much though. Use traffic exchanges especially Russian/Ukraine exchanges. Eventually, you will get more traffic. Smiley

   ~~MZ~~

Traffic exchanges are not allowed according to adsense TOS, so if you use Google Adsense I would not recommend traffic exchanges.

2714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crashes through $300 floor on: January 04, 2015, 08:35:53 PM
www.Coindesk.com is so crap - it hasn't even acknowledged/headlined the crash!

I don't think they want to spread FUD, it would just cause more people to panic sell, making the price lower.

But people have the right to know, don't they?

I guess so, but people could just go to preev.com or any other website that has a bitcoin price widget on it.

I am of the opinion that several companies dump their BTC for fiat currency at the end of each year, I am also of the opinion that by the end of Jan 2015 the BTC price will break back through into the $300 arena.

I could be wrong and of course I am open to other opinions as well as my own.

That's a good observation, that could be quite possible.

2718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is from Europe on: January 04, 2015, 06:19:31 PM
What happens if this is what satoshi wants you to believe? He created a revolutionary technology and has so far left little to no clues and remained completely anonymous, so do you not think he has the intelligence to leave things so people trying to search for him follow a wild goose chase or lead people down the wrong path? Personaly, I hope he's a prankster.
Yes, people have analysed the way he writes and he has multiple styles.

He is everybody.

He was a Masonic too. See here!

Satoshi Nakamoto is part of the bitilluminati. Once more and more people join Bitcoin, there turns out to be a backdoor that no one noticed for some reason, and Bitcoin becomes centralized, creating the "New Bit Order"

how can Satoshi Nakamoto so mysterious Huh
I thought he was a success. why he could must hide him self?

To protect the network. But who knows, maybe Satoshi is also the NSA or so.

I think I saw an article somewhere theorizing that Bitcoin was made by the NSA or something. I will try to find that article.

EDIT: here it is! https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/nsa-bitcoin-1996/

2719  Economy / Speculation / Re: almost died on: January 04, 2015, 06:08:44 PM
$255! Bloody hell, nothing happens and the price falls out of the long time trading range by almost 20%
Well I will hold and maybe buy more at some point, I don't think the price will never rise above $400 again.

I wouldn't say that it will "never" rise over $400 again. It probably will stay at current price, then rise eventually, but we won't know how long it will take.
2720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crashes through $300 floor on: January 04, 2015, 06:03:54 AM
Ouch, 279 a coin currently.

Hopefully it will stabilize and go up soon, it's been dropping all day. Great way to celebrate the birthday of Bitcoin  Tongue

The best thing to do for the Bitcoin economy is to buy stuff from merchants who won't immediatly dump their coins for fiat.
