2701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptos are uncovering our evil sides on: June 15, 2022, 05:48:58 AM
I have realized very early in my life that it's a cruel life out there... and that you should not expect anyone to help you, without you giving anything in return. The world of "Money" is not any different, because people are greedy by nature and as we know... they will kill for it.

So, why should a Crypto Miner worry about "global warming" and their carbon footprint, if they are printing money with their ASICS that are running 24/7? They do not see the immediate impact of their actions (like cooking a frog) ...so they stay focused on their goal to make money.

Do you think the Banking system worry about : All the carbon emissions from the armored trucks that deliver cash? Do they care about the electricity that are used 24/7 for the millions of ATMs? ....etc.  Roll Eyes
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 14, 2022, 11:46:21 AM
Yes, it does have a big disadvantage and advantage at different situations of the market. I had a few coins on a popular casino a while ago when the price was above $30 000 per coin and it dropped to $22 000 today.... so I basically lost $8000 per coin, without betting a single satoshi.  Roll Eyes

The opposite is also true.... I had a few coins on another site when the price was $34 000 per coin in Jan 2021 and then the price went up to $58 000 in March 2021..... so I basically had +/- $24 000 per coin more to gamble with. (I actually forgot about the site and re-visited it, when the price skyrocketed)

Most people do not have coins in these casinos for long enough to feel the real impact of the price fluctuations. You see the balance going up and down, but with small balances... it is less noticeable.  Roll Eyes

I prefer to keep my coins in Stablecoins for gambling, if the casino accept it... because the price fluctuation is a lot less.  Wink

I just love the new "Snakes Arena - Dream Drop Slot" from Relax Gaming, but I noticed that they are showing the € (Euro) symbol in the Jackpots, but they are paying out in US Dollar value? (The value are close, but there are a difference)  Roll Eyes

In any way.. it is not a train smash, the game is still excellent and a good upgrade to the original "Snake Arena"  Grin  The smaller Jackpots are paid out frequently and it will be life changing if one of the BIG Mega or Major Jackpots are won.   Wink
2704  Other / Archival / Re: The growth of annual inflation in US reached 8.6% on: June 14, 2022, 08:34:21 AM
The cryptomarket is supposed to grow against the inflation due to its limited supply, but here the market is experiencing the downturn as the inflated currencies. The inflation keeps rising and it has come out big all of the sudden as people have started to move after a long term work from home. During those time period the food price rise didn't make a big impact. By the time the transportation too is limited and now everything is getting to be normal and the impact is getting high. It is a slow process to get solved. More countries will join the queue soon.

I disagree...

When the Inflation goes up, people are paying more for goods and services... so they go into survival mode and they do not have disposable funds to invest in speculative high risk investments like Bitcoin.

The influence of the war in the Ukraine are only being felt now, because food production has been disrupted. We have been using wheat and oil that were stockpiled, but the new crops will suffer..do to the shortage of fertilizer from the Ukraine and the smaller exports from Russia.  Angry
2705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin declared ‘dead’ 52% less in 2022 despite bear market vibes on: June 14, 2022, 05:58:59 AM
I think if we look at the current state of the financial markets of the world (in war time) ...then most markets are down. People are not investing their money into so-called "high risk" speculative assets, but rather pushing it into traditional safe havens. (Gold/Silver/Government Bonds)

To be fair.... nobody really expected Bitcoin to do very well under these circumstances, so let's lower our expectations and rather look at Bitcoin as a "Long-term" safe haven, with potential for huge profits when it recovers.  Grin
2706  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Tulip Mania 2.0 on: June 14, 2022, 05:42:30 AM
Imagine this.....

The Trolls/Shills are now speculators too...  Grin   In the past they used this "Tulip" song when there were a drop in the price, but I think "greed" have infiltrated their ranks now.  Grin

So, please listen to their advice, because that is what we we saying all the time... if you want to use Bitcoin as a commodity... get in low and wait, because the market will recover and you will make a decent profit when it bounce back.

Who would have thought "Trolls" and "Shills" will give good advice.  Roll Eyes
2707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Act to defend privacy or resign ourselves to its loss? on: June 13, 2022, 05:29:19 AM
I say, grant "Bitcoin" users the same level of pseudo anonymity, that all users of "Cash" is getting.  Wink

If they do not want to give Bitcoin users pseudo anonymity, then we as voters should make sure that we do not support them in the next election.

They will eventually close all the loopholes for people who wants to be pseudo anonymous, but developers will find ways to circumvent that, by creating something that cannot be tracked and also something that cannot be traced back to them.  Roll Eyes
2708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian aggression against Ukraine. The world will no longer be the same. on: June 12, 2022, 07:48:24 PM
The Ukraine is not a member of the Nato alliance, meaning it is not obligated to launch an armed attack against Russia to protect Ukraine.
Source : https://inews.co.uk/news/world/ukraine-why-no-one-helping-nato-russia-invasion-response-member-countries-1483199

We have seen how aggressive Putin gets when countries that are not part of NATO, want to join NATO. (Example : Switzerland) He knows ..the moment when he attacks a country that are part of NATO, then NATO can join that war to protect that country.  Wink

Nothing stops western countries to send weapons to help the Ukranians to fight their own battles.... and that is what is being done to help them.  Wink
2709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 12, 2022, 09:13:53 AM
The thing that gets most people are the small rewards that Slots give people during their playing session. They think that Slots will pay a big Jackpot, if they keep on playing for long enough, but for most people that never happens.

They also see "Paid" Streamers playing a Slot until it pays a big amount and they think that they can do the same thing. Those "Paid" Streamers can do that, because they use a casinos money to do it.... so you cannot emulate that, because you do not have that amount of money.

I really think the new calculation of the "Weekly" is flawed.  Roll Eyes  I have concentrated a lot more on Sports betting and Slots in the week prior to the "Weekly" being paid...and I had a significant drop in my "Weekly" ..compared to previous weeks.

How many of you are only betting on Sport & Slots and have lost loads of money ....and then received 50% more on your weekly? We are a group of friends and family that are playing on Stake... and all of them have had a drop in their "Weekly" ....so it is not just me.

What are we doing wrong?
2711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing things in Bitcoin rather than in US dollar what this could mean for BTC? on: June 12, 2022, 08:52:01 AM
Well, I find it interesting that they needed to mock Bitcoin's price volatility in the first place. They are obviously threatened by Bitcoin, because they need to highlight it's differences to Fiat currencies to boost their own "Bubble".  Roll Eyes

Why are they not showing the average price increase of Bitcoin over the time that it has been introduced and compare that to the drop in the value of Fiat currencies based on inflation over the same period. ( What would have happened if one person bought $100 worth of bitcoins in 2010 and what would happen if another person has placed $100 in a Bank at the same time)

===> If I bought $100 worth of bitcoins in 2011 ..I would have purchased +/- 333.33 bitcoins ....worth about $9 167 000 today. (today's price $27 530)
2712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of bitcoin? Commodity, currency or smth else? on: June 11, 2022, 11:37:34 AM
The governments of this world are protecting Fiat currencies, so they will not allow Bitcoin to become a global currency. They started doing that, when they defined Bitcoin as a "Commodity" and not as a currency.

The countries that accepted Bitcoin as a currency (legal tender) has faced severe push back from the IMF and other western organizations that are being controlled by "Puppet Masters" (Super Rich people)

Bitcoin can only replace Fiat currencies when people see the evil forces behind Fiat currencies and how it is being used to control people. (Use your vote to change the status quo)  Sad
2713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An analysis on how Bitcoin gets to 1 billion users on: June 11, 2022, 07:31:53 AM
As long as Bitcoin is used and defined by governments as a "Commodity" .... it will have a flat adoption curve. The governments and Banks made sure that it painted Crypto currencies into a Commodity box ..to prevent it to be in a position to be a threat to Fiat currencies and also to the Banking sector.

OP is 100% correct by saying Fiat currencies are their "Life Blood" ...because governments control Fiat currencies (Supply & Value) and Banks are making Billions of Dollars on charging people fees and interest on loans and Bonds and other financial instruments.  Angry Angry Angry
2714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rakeback and promotions for limited time on: June 10, 2022, 07:43:21 AM
I do not ignore it.... but I tend to forgot about it... and then when you are down and looking for more money, you start looking around for commission on referrals or your Rakeback...and then you suddenly have a balance again to gamble with.  Grin

I have noticed that Stake.com has decreased their Rakeback with 50% in this last week, so I am not going to worry much about taking the Rakeback at Stake for quite some time. (let it build slowly and take it when I am in the red)  Roll Eyes
2715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 10, 2022, 07:24:17 AM
I am glad to see that Stake.com has signed an agreement with Everton Football Club==> https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2642197/who-are-stakecom  Grin    The sponsorship with Watford was not a good match for them, because a world class Sport betting platform cannot be associated with a team that are relegated.  Roll Eyes

Now let's hope Everton can pull up their socks and do much better in the next season.  Huh
2716  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: June 10, 2022, 07:04:51 AM
OP, I think the first "Food" war.... will start after the "Water" wars. We all know that food and animals cannot live without water, so once most water sources has been polluted and the weather changed .....rain will decrease and a water crisis will start.

One thing that I have learned over time is this.... People have a way to adapt to changing conditions. A lot of people have lived in the most desolate areas in the world, but I think the countries with the most dense populations are going to suffer the most. (China)

The solution : Look after Nature... and it will look after you!

" When playing InfiniReels games, you might get confused open finding that it is offered in both NetEnt and Red Tiger Gaming. The two companies are both owned by Evolution and are therefore sister brands that share the InfiniReels trademark. "

I really love Red Tiger games, but I never knew that NetEnt and Red Tiger games were both owned by Evolution.  Grin  I think one of my favorite Slots with InfiniReels must be : Dragon’s Fire: InfiniReels  Grin Grin Grin  (Go! Fire Egg!!!)  Grin

Well, I guess it is back to "Gods of Gold InfiniReels" for me..... because I am a real "Gold bug" ....and I love everything to do with treasures and Gold. (I think I have watched all of the Gold Rush series and all the spin-offs of it too)  Roll Eyes

2718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2022, 05:45:35 AM
Well, first of all....

Is there enough people in your local area that will make it profitable for them to shift to Bitcoin payments? The small informal traders  with food stalls and such, will not accept Bitcoin as a payment option, if there are nobody paying with bitcoins.

We had a similar problem in our area, but we discussed this at one of our local Bitcoin meetups and we decided that we will support these guys, if they support us. Now a lot of people are buying lunch and even a cup of coffee with Bitcoin and some even use the Lightning Network to pay for it.

A lot of people just want to "hoard" bitcoins, but they forget that it should have utility for it to be a currency. Hoard 80% of the coins you buy, but try to spend 20% at small merchants like this.  Roll Eyes

Stake team has also announced about it in their telegram channel. Some other websites has published articles about it. Perhaps, Stake.com is going to give more than £10 million per year to their new partner Everton FC.
"Stake team has made a new partnership with Everton FC". This is really fantastic news for Stake users. The Stake team is offering new promotions and offers to celebrate this partnership. Stake team always looking for the best and at the same time users will continue to get more benefits.

Prepare the rakeback and weekly/monthly bonus to be cut even more so theyI can sponsor and promote even more.

I am with you on that statement.... it is going to cost them a fortune to sign a multi-year contract with Everton and I think the UK people will be disappointed when they go to Stake.com and they cannot play. Well, they can play at Stake.UK.com ...but it is very restricted ...so it will not look like a massive gambling site ..when they visit that link.

I hope this partnership will lead to more games being added to Stake.UK.com to make it a more presentable option for UK gamblers. Well between Drake and Everton FC, we will most likely see massive cuts to the bonuses and the Rakeback etc...  Sad
2720  Economy / Economics / Re: Jamie Dimon says ‘brace yourself’ for an economic hurricane on: June 09, 2022, 06:54:57 AM
" There are two main factors that has Dimon worried: First, the Federal Reserve has signaled it will reverse its emergency bond-buying programs and shrink its balance sheet. The so-called quantitative tightening, or QT, is scheduled to begin this month and will ramp up to $95 billion a month in reduced bond holdings."

Quantitative easing is a tactic used by the Federal Reserve to stimulate the economy in times of crisis. It increases the money supply and lowers long-term interest rates. - Source : https://www.thebalance.com/what-is-quantitative-easing-definition-and-explanation-3305881

So shifting the blame to the government, because it is not willing to fund the speculative lending practices of these Banks ...is a Piss Poor excuse to raise the red flag for a crisis. You (Banks) are causing this economic crisis with Fractional-reserve banking practices and reckless loans.
