^^^^ - ckolivas posted an updated cgminer today that tries to address the S4 issue(s) with low diffs (also works a treat with the S3+)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.msg9134744#msg9134744

Please tell me how to update my S3+ miners.

Is it under "System" then "Software" then "Actions" after logging into the miner?

If that is where you go, what do I do after that?

Not sure if any of you saw the 22,000 WALL on BITSTAMP's order book Sunday when BTC dropped from $337.00 US to $300.00.  We have a small wall of just under 4,000 but no where near 22,000.  LOTS OF STABILITY!!!
2703  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: October 09, 2014, 03:24:50 PM
I'm on a mission at the moment to just focus on mining and building the farm from 4.6 TH/s to 24 TH/s ASAP.  Hope to have it to 24 TH/s (16,500 watts) by end of December to end of January.

Which means I'm not using any BTC on the exchange at the moment.  I probably should though.
2704  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: October 09, 2014, 03:18:37 PM
0.01659688 BTC is estimated reward at the moment with Total average hash rate in last 60 minutes: 4594.350 Ghash/s using 10 S3's.
Approx. cluster performance (30 min average):   6833839 Ghash/s

All S3's are over clocked just a hair from the default (225 Mhz) to the next step up (231 Mhz).

I hope you are right, I just don't see it. The whales will sell off to buy back at a depressed price before it can get that high. We have gotten into a cycle of that happening recently.

YES, but not TOO depressed.  The price will fall back no more than 4% of each pump.  The whales would be hurting themselves if they did not DO THE PUMP without actually PUMPING.

For instance, When it was pumped up from $300.00 to $335.00, it fell back to a more SUPPORTED $330.00 because THEIR ACTUALLY IS "SUPPORT" (BELIEF IT IS WORTH THAT AND MUCH MORE).

THEN, it gets pumped again from $330 to $359 then fell back to $350 [A more supported or stable price].

NOW, we have another pump going on  AS WE SPEAK to $387 at the moment!

WE HAVE LOTS OF SUPPORT FOR A BIG PRICE FOR BTC!  TRUST ME!!!

THIS PUMP HAS LOTS OF SUPPORT.  COMPARE THE TWO MOUNTAINS FACING ONE ANOTHER ON THE ORDER BOOKS AT STAMP.  LOTS OF BUYERS THEIR FOR SUPPORT.   LOTS

IT WILL STAY THAT WAY TILL $440 I KNOW.  THEN IT WILL CHILL 5 to 9 DAYS AND GO UP AGAIN IN THE NORMAL PUMPS AS I MENTIONED.

LOTS OF SUPPORT OUT THERE.  LOTS

We will have a LOT of BTC sold off this weekend, which will bring the price back down a little.  However, it will go back up again after the dump.

The dumps we have on the weekends have to do with a lot of big farms who need the cash to pay employees, for power, etc...

Right now is not a bad time at all to get involved with an exchange, even if it is a small amount.  When you do, look for the BIG "Sell" wall on the weekend and sell into that wall.  Wait for the price to go down at least 15% if not 20% [That's where you buy to accumulate more coin].  Then just wait for the price to go back up [with a bottle of champagne in hand] cause WE HAVE PLENTY OF SUPPORT!

IF it was you then bet is on...    agreed?  This bet is for US (you and I) and only us (you and I);  no one else.

I will definitely take the bet if want to, but if you mistakenly answered me instead of waskidding I will withdraw the offer, your call.

I see now it was you and not waskidding.  Didn't realize you joined the conversation.  It doesn't matter whether it was you or waskidding.

You and I know NOW who was chatting.  So, this bet is only for you and I and NO ONE ELSE.

So, we agree to the bet?

I do.

0.1 BTC is the amount of the bet.

The Bet is the following:  That BTC will be $510.00 US on STAMP EXCHANGE BY 2400 HOURS CHICAGO TIME (CST) THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27.

AGREED?

Agreed, I am saying it will not be $510 and you are saying it will. Damn I hope you actually win this bet.

If I do win, donate the .1 to Sean's Outpost @ 1M72Sfpbz1BPpXFHz9m3CdqATR44Jvaydd

I WILL REMEMBER PAGE 954 OF THIS FORUM.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Have you not watched the news very much lately on line?

There is a BIG STORM BREWING for a lot of BIG PLAYERS to buy into BTC in anticipation for different things I'm not willing to mention for the sake of the bet.  Also, for the sake of keeping others from mining or increasing their hashing power once they see how much BTC will be going up.  It's going to the moon very soon.  Seriously!

It has gone from $300.00 to $377.00 since Sunday evening!

I read a lot of news and a LOT of chat from very smart speculators in the BTC game.

A SERIOUS STORM IS BREWING!!!

I KNOW WE WILL BE AT LEAST $470 BY END OF THANKSGIVING BUT I'M OBVIOUSLY BETTING ON IT BEING $510.00.

WE BOTH WIN EITHER WAY FROM OUR MINING FARMS.  THAT'S THE WAY I SEE IT...

ALSO, PLEASE DON'T THINK WE ARE ARGUING OR GETTING INTO A HEATED DISCUSSION.  WE CANNOT SEE EACH OTHERS FACE OR DISPOSITION.  THIS IS A GENTLEMAN'S BET BETWEEN RESPECTFUL INDIVIDUALS.

I PLAY TEXAS NO LIMIT HOLDEM QUITE A BIT.  IT TOO IS A GENTLEMAN'S GAME...

I predict BTC will be at $475.00 by October 30th...

$540.00 by Thanksgiving

I will take that bet, btc will not even be close to that.

I like your enthusiasm but you need to go to the S4 thread and read all the problems they are having. CK has confirmed it is a hardware problem and did a quick cgminer patch until Bitmain can come up with a firmware work a round which isn't really fixing the problem.

You need to consider the Prisma at 1.4 TH each much better deal and you will come closer to a ROI (noticed I said closer as there is no hardware that currently has a chance to ROI).

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

How about lets bet 0.1 BTC that BTC will be $510.00 by Thanksgiving?

I will take that bet. Anybody here care to witness?

That bet was intended for the two parties who were in the conversation [wasikidding and myself].  THAT BET was NOT for "ANYBODY and EVERYBODY IN THIS FORUM."  I'm not a damn BTC BOOKIE...    LOL   Grin

DID I OFFER THAT BET TO EVERYONE?  HELL NO!!!  I"M NOT RICH AND I"M NOT A BTC BOOKIE

NOW WITNESS THAT...

Pay attention when you quote, you quoted me not waskidding.....

The bet is 0.1 BTC - That BTC will reach $510.00 by midnight [2400 hours] Chicago Time (Central Standard Time) the end of Thursday, November 27, 2014.

Okay, thanks!!!

Wish I knew how I voted... LOL  My answer would be BTC

I don't know if anyone can answer that poll anymore.  Makes me wonder if they have stopped taking answers.  I see no where to answer it.  Even on the first page.

It's definitely still there.  I just voted.  Smiley

hmmmmmmm

Either my browser (Safari) doesn't want me to vote in the poll OR I already voted and do not realize it because I accidentally "clicked" it without realizing it.

If you had already voted, it would still show the results of the poll so far.

It shows the results at the top of every page I navigate to.

there is no reason for BTC to rise, besides the bots purposely buying higher.
then the random times hardware sellers have stuff in stock so people need to buy btc like S3's suddenly being in stock

WHO turned the "Bots" on?  WHO programmed the "Bots" to "BUY" at certain prices?  BTC is actually undervalued!  THERE WAS NO REASON FOR IT TO GO DOWN THE WAY IT DID FROM $440.00 to $300.00 except for WHALES selling off big to start a PANIC SELL OFF, THEN THEY BUY BACK AT A LOWER PRICE TO INCREASE THEIR COIN COUNT.

This youtube version is "Highlights from the Senate Hearing on Bitcoins, Day 1."  However you can watch the full 2 hour 32 minute version as well.  I"M CONVINCED!!!
